"Who said I wanted a kiss? That was even better, anyway," Yue grinned wide, shaking her head. The physical contact was what she wanted, and the sting on her shoulder felt good; it was a mild thing, especially compared to the touch. The fit of laughter that shook Miki made Yue even happier. All these things happening around her, and she could just sit back and watch them, if she wanted. Yue never wanted to sit back. She did, however, take a surveying stance as Miki drifted over to Zhen. She wondered where the girl was from, and equally puzzled over everyone's insistence she wanted to kiss them.
Well, she wouldn't say no but the thought hadn't particularly crossed her mind. She greeted people with a blown kiss, and that was all there was to it. Yue didn't care much either way, and definitely not enough to say anything about it. "HEY, Zhen, you can fight me anytime; that punch was teasing and I could use more," Yue called over, suddenly, bringing her fists in and throwing a fake punch into the air. Her stance was sloppy, and her punch compact. Clearly, she was messing around, but it was hard to tell if she had actual skill, or that was the best she could do. Unlike some of the others here, Yue didn't care what people thought they knew about her abilities. It didn't make her weaker, slower, less Yue to be perceived as such. Luckily, Yue was too confident in herself to let what they thought matter much anyway. Perhaps 'too oblivious' would be a better term; Yue couldn't even concern herself with that much.
Yue pushed herself off the desk and swaggered over to the stashes of what she figured were cooking supplies, digging around. On her way back, she swaggered into several students, bumping them, making them drop things. Every time, she half-apologized, her hungry smile there all the while. She came back with some kind of cloth sack and dropped it on the desk, sat down in her chair and crossed her arms over her chest, staring into space. She was pursing her lips again, the clear sign she was thinking.

Zhong's attention turned to Eiji as he peered into the classroom. He was not the least bit concerned with those inside, until the other arrived. Taking a breath he pushed himself up, maintaining a comfortably hold on Sumu, and looked into the classroom. Eiji had been right, there was only male in the classroom. Now when he had entered, Zhong would not be able to tell, but he recognized the lunarian. It had been a long time since he had seen the face but squinting to identify him he nodded,"Huang Fu, I have only met him once but I can say he is- or was- not like a female last I met him."
The old friend had been a very upstanding figure, but if Eiji claimed him to be acting as a female, Zhong had no right to object. He had not seen the other in a while anyway. Perhaps he had changed, but he knew one thing, Eiji did have a tendency to accuse people.
Stroking Sumu with a hand he turned and sort of tugged on Eiji's sleeve, "Should we pardon their conversation, or wait for others to join us out here?" he questioned. He was not against going to speak to the others, however, he was ill when surrounded by a crowd of squeaking and chatty females.
"What are you guys cooking?" Zhong questioned, peeking his head in the door.

Zhen blinked again, but smiled. Being around girls wasn't as bad as she'd thought it would be, after all! She turned to Miki then, grinning a embarassedly and fiddling with her braid. She was a little surprised by her peal of laughter, but she didn't seem to be laughing AT her. She moved a little, to give her room to sit.
"Did I do something funny? I'm glad I could make you laugh. Say, what's your name, anyway?" Without missing a beat, she tilted her head toward Yue. Fight? She had only really fought with the village boys over silly things, like if they tried to take away her spinning top, or if they tried to kick her off the cuju field- they'd been doing it more of late, right up until she'd left. She didn't understand, since they seemed to want to spend time with her OUTSIDE of their games, and would bring her weird things, like flowers, or badly written poems. One of them even tried to KISS her. But still, when Yue made a few gamey punches in the air, Zhen found HERSELF giggling, a little.
"I don't know about all that, granda would dip me in the scum bucket face first if he heard I got in a fight on my first day, you know. But maybe we could play a game? I like to play sports! Do you know how to play cuju? I think I saw a really nice field somewhere outside, and I'm sure we have a free period sometime..." She trailed off, looking at the smudged ink stain that was all that was left of her obliterated schedule. Zhen also seemed to remember there being a sparring room, but she wasn't sure if they were supposed to use it outside of class, and didn't know if the other girl would be taking it at the same time as her.
She frowned, but was distracted by the boy from the hall ducking his head into the doorway. Cooking? She jumped up, startled. She'd been in class for a good minute or so, probably late, and she didn't even have a recipe book or any supplies! Was that young man she'd taken for a student their instructor? It would be just her luck.
No, she wouldn't panic. She would just apologize. And get some supplies- it looked like Yue was already digging through the cabinets. After all, it didn't look like anyone else was working either, and if she just explained herself, she was sure everything would be fine. She moved to join her, and continued to chatter on the entire way across the room.
"Oh, I'm sorry, are you the instructor? I didn't mean to be rude in the hall. We aren't cooking yet, only I just got here, but we were just, you know, saying hello, and I'm getting my supplies right now. Are we making fish? Y'know, that's the only thing I can cook, see, I don't really care for fish but meat is so expensive these days and I don't know much about bread or pastries, we always buy bread from the market because it keeps so well, and..." She continued to ramble, sifting through the cabinets and looking for a serviceable pot or pan of some kind. She wondered where they kept all the foodstuffs, in here- she saw a few likely-looking chests.

Eiji felt a tug, and heard every word, but thought nothing of it as he continued to look into the classroom. He really had no intention on interrupting their “girl talk.” What did he care about their conversation for? It didn’t sound interesting to say the least, or at least their actions didn’t seem promising. He felt no need or desire to be part of it, though he will admit the faint smell from the class from before started to make him hungry. ...food..... he thought to himself, making a mental note to eat later.
His attention was drawn to the female lunarian, who happened to pass him into the classroom not that long ago, who seemed to have been rambling off towards Zhong. Looking at Zhong for a brief moment he thought to himself Wait... she thinks he is the instructor?; and then proceeded to laugh at the thought. ”Go on, instructor. Entertain the girl. Eiji said with another laugh as he lightly pushed Zhong into the classroom. Honestly he was beginning to wonder the same thing, despite him not being enlisted to this room. If this was in fact a active class in this room why was the instructor not there yet? Lost in this thoughts Eiji remained propped up against the door frame. No point in thinking about it if it has nothing to do with him. His focus was back towards the room again, particularly at Zhong; debating when he should reclaim his cat, who seemed to be fused to Zhong. He really did need a scolding.

Zhong nudged past Eiji and stood in the doorway with an ear-to-ear grin, his hand holding Sumu protectively. The lunarian's attempt to identify him as the instructor was received positivity but unfortunately he waved a hand and denied the allegation."No, I am a student as you. Though I would think that the chatter would be replaced with the preparation of your work stations." he noted, waving at many of their empty tables, "I also doubt you'll be keeping the most commonly eaten food around these parts."
His notes were meant with well intention. Zhong hoped he had not offended the other, but instead of allowing her the opportunity to show if she felt as such, he made his move. Crossing the classroom in a few steps he left Sumu standing on a small chair and extended his hand to the other,"Guo ZhongXian, a pleasure to make your acquaintance." Being in the Academy his introduction was not complete with all the standard formalities, but he presented himself in a respectable manner.
At least, to the degree that he deserved such respect.
Retreating after the introduction to swoop Sumu back into his arms he held a hand out to his rear, indicating Eiji, "This gentleman is Eiji."Zhong knew well that they belonged in this class, though he did not want to admit it. It was a basic survival cooking class, not some at-home decor class.
He snickered at the was the girls had interpreted this class to be, and leaning over to Eiji he made it perfectly clear the way he was thinking."I think these ladies mixed up the way the class was supposed to be set up. If I remember correctly it is a survival class- correct me if I am wrong,"he whispered.
With a smirk the lunarian shuffled his way over to an open table and allowed Sumu to curl up in his chair as he rejoined the other group of individuals.

After receiving the words offered to her by Yue Lao, Kotone responded to the advice with a nod that implied that she had listened and a polite smile of appreciation accompanying her spoken thought, her voice slightly more audible but still for the most part unchanged in its fragile sort of feel, “Ah, thank you, Miss Yue Lao.”
She then gave a nod to Suzu, implying she had heard what was said to her. She next stood from her seat and took a step toward the inquirer to address the question about the recipe, but stopped from taking any further steps so as not to intrude when Miki spoke to Suzu. This was then followed by the event in which another new student entered the class with a loud introduction.
“Hello, Miss Zhenzhu-” Kotone had given her greeting at some point after the new student’s name was given. However, said greeting also came before the introduction had ended since Kotone had been mistaken when was the end of the introduction. Thus, this quite probably had increased the likelihood that her greeting may have not been heard. Also, Kotone’s greeting was not accompanied with her introducing herself in return since she had failed to make the transition after giving the hello part when she had shifted back to listening upon the discovery that Zhenzhu’s introduction had actually not yet finished.
At some point while Yue Lao had commenced greeting Zhenzhu, Kotone suddenly recalled that she had yet to answer Suzu’s query and turned to look for and picked up the recipe from the table’s surface beside her. “Oh, um, if you meant ingredients, Suzu, then some of them include dried soba noodles, soy sauce, and dried seaweed. One of the other supplies is a soup bag-” Kotone had then stopped in her reply when she heard Zhenzhu question if another arrival was the instructor and turned her gaze to check if the teacher had in fact returned.
However, it turned out that the teacher still wasn’t back. And as she listened to the introduction of ZhongXian and Eiji, she also wondered as to why the instructor left the room.

Zhen maintained a barely restrained polite silence as the other youth introduced himself. She offered a smile, faltering a bit at the part where he pointed out their mindless tittering. Well, at least he wasn't the teacher. Squinting her eyes, she scrutinized him as he leaned over to whisper something to his companion. She put down the pot she'd been holding, pretending to look for something from the same cupboard as Yue Lao.
None too quietly, she muttered, "I think he thinks we're being silly." She wasn't sure what he'd told the other boy, or what had been going on before she'd come in, but that laugh had seemed a little condescending. Zhen wasn't really sure what to do. Back home, if something like this happened, one party or the other would start calling names, until somebody threw a punch and it turned into a riot. She had a feeling, however, that that kind of backyard-hooligan behavior was strongly discouraged here.
Besides, maybe she was wrong. Maybe he really was just trying to help out. If so, she felt she should offer something in kind. "Well, " she began brightly, "if that's the case...why're you in here? Unless you're in this class too? I'm sorry, but I don't see your workstation prepared anywhere. Would you like some help? If you tell me what supplies we're supposed to have I can get it while I'm over here." She seemed to be oblivious of the fact that she'd pointed out he was as unprepared as they, and had restored an irritatingly helpful smile to her face.

There were a lot of things going on. Suzu found herself really confused with all the new faces mingling and talking to each other. She did not really know where to be or who to talk to, so she thought it was a idea to continue on and see who came to her. She did not mind not speaking, by this time a few more men had turned up and she would be content enough to cooking and giving the handsome figures a side glance every so often.
Her ears opened up to hear Zhong talking, a cooking survival class that sure did make a lot more sense. Made things a hall of a lot more interesting too, however did that mean Kotones ingredients where wrong or right? She always thought if a mission was going to last several days it would be best to take dried food, quick to eat and needing no time to prepare. She doubted she would be too bothered about quality of food on a mission, unless it was teaching you how you could use things around you to make meals. Incase you were out of food. She stopped her tinkering with all the pots and pans and approached Zhong.
He was also another very cute male, however she tried to control herself, as soon as she could get information from him then she could turn her attentions to maybe winning his affection.
"Excuse me? My name is Suzu, as many people today I am new and lost, maybe you could show me out to prepare my station and maybe explain to me the criteria of the class a little better? Please?"
She stated with a small blush her hand raised to her chest once more, her voice sweet and soft. She seemed to have a different tone when she was talking to men. She had no idea where all the different ingredients where and she wanted to get started as soon as possible, get going something so she could ignore the chaos. She was not used to so many people, a couple she could cope with but for the most part it was just her and her master. So all these different voices at the same time was a little much for her.
She smiled heading back to Kotone and ruffling her hair playfully, stroking the strands in her palm. She still thought Kotone was so adorable.
"I hope you do not mind we get started a little early. I do not want the teacher to think me a slacker on my first day!"
She joked.

Gentleman . . . .? Eiji coughed under his breath. Well wasn’t Zhong being polite, introducing him like that. ”Hm?” He looked over at Zhong as he leaned closer. ”I think you mixed up the chain of events with this class. Assuming that I intend on being here and also that I might know what this class is supposed to actually be.” Eiji muttered as he turned to face the class again. ”I’m doubting these girls would even want to be part of a survival cooking class. I think they’re all better off in a baking class. What type of girl would want to learn anything else besides baking sweets?
Upon being placed on the chair Sumu stretched out his front to legs, sticking his butt in the air; clawing at the air in front of him. He moved to stretching his hind legs next, before poking his head above the table. His head didn’t quite reach above the table's edge but he was just tall enough for his eye level to be high enough that he was still able to see over it.
”Hm?” Eiji watched as one of the girls approached Zhong. Listening to the brief conversation they had Eiji couldn’t help but laugh a little. It was what she said and how she said it that amused him greatly. Look at you, getting involved in the class. Eiji smirked as he thought to himself. This classroom was definitely filled with odd characters.

Huang relaxed as more of the legions joined their classroom, though he was surprised to see yet again that one was a more familiar face. Zhong, who had shared a moment of breakfast with Huang had been polite, insightful and a down right pleasure to know.
The other though seemed...different with the way he acted, almost a laid back, yet not. Huang kept any comments to himself though and retreated into remaining quiet as the girls introduced themselves and whatnot, glad that for now he wouldn't and was not the center of their scrutiny. In truth he had been unsure to act with so many women in the classroom.
Sneaking away, he started his own work station, he wasn't unfamiliar with survival cooking techniques and perhaps it would be best if he started on it like Suzu said, no point in drawing attention to ones self unnecessarily.

It was getting increasingly difficult for Yue Lao to pay attention to what was going on around her. Someone poked his head in, and asked what they were cooking. Yue just stared at the bag she'd placed on her table, supposedly carrying something that she'd use for the class. It made Yue smile when Zhen laughed.
"Too bad, Zhen! I can understand not wanting to get dunked in the scum bucket; can't say I've ever been in one myself. What's Cuju, though?" Yue tilted her head, grinning. She was curious, definitely. Maybe it was actually worth playing? She'd never heard of it before. One way or another, it had to be better than what they were going to do in cooking.
Eiji and Zhong entered into the equation next. She definitely hadn't thought that Zhong was an instructor, but apparently Zhen had. She wrinkled her nose at Zhong. Eiji was maybe fun, though. She snickered when Zhen told the boys what she thought about the situation, chimed in a quiet, "Here, here."
Then, louder, she shrugged and added, "Suzu could definitely use all the help she can get, gentlemen. I'm Yue Lao, absolutely charmed, really. Mesmerized, even. I like how you get things done," Yue smiled. She was speaking strangely again, but simply couldn't help herself. She started pulling things out of the cloth bag she'd dropped at her station, earlier.
It was getting increasingly difficult to separate all the new people from each other, but Yue worked steadily and silently to amass observations on each of them. She was particularly curious about Miki, Zhen and Eiji, though she figured she'd already observed Miki enough to understand her fundamental characteristics. Nice to see Suzu was predictable, as was Kotone.

Oh damn. She was late. Trying to figure out what time it was, Ishtar rubbed her eyes, smearing the pale pink shadow up to her browbone. Forget that. She'd have to worry about her makeup later. Right now, she'd need to concentrate on getting to her culinary class. Ishtar hated cooking, not that she'd actually ever tried it, but skipping four whole weeks of class in a row was bound to get her kicked out of the Academy. It wasn't as if she could help her mysterious disappearances and blackouts... Trying to forget about recent events, Ishtar raced down the silent, light-filled halls. However, her thoughts raced even faster...
Jianyu probably hated her. Nil was dead. Jianyu---
Nilgun Raad was dead.
She wasn't the first casualty in the war, but she was certainly the only one Ishtar had known on a personal basis. Shaking those thoughts from her head, Ishtar tried to focus on finding the classroom. Cooking class. What an off-topic subject...after all, wasn't the Academy supposed to teach them useful things? Ishtar was sure that anything, when properly roasted over fire, was pretty much edible.
At least to her. A few years of pocketing food from the market vendors had taught Ishtar that much---that it didn't really matter where the food came from or how it was prepared; as long as it was food, she was fine.
But then again, maybe learning how to prepare her own food would be a bit helpful. Ish was slightly tired of flame-roasted vegetables, flame-roasted meats, and the occasional who-knows-where-it-came-from fat-filled market snack. Opening a door and looking up to make sure it was the right classroom, Ishtar slipped in. Trying to make her footsteps as quiet as possible, she fell into the farthest possible seat from the front.
My, have I changed, Ishtar thought with a frown. I used want attention...and now...?
Looking silently around the room, Ishtar assessed the other students. Some she had brushed past in the hallways, some she had never seen before. She had never formally met any of these people, however. Ish felt a nagging feeling inside her, telling her to move on and start being more socialable. She was tired, though. Actually, that was an understatement. And Ish felt pretty sure she looked like a slob. That was probably an understatement, too.
Tapping the nearest girl on the shoulder, Ishtar whispered, "Hey, dear, would you happen to have any eyeshadow I could borrow? Promise it'll just take a sec." Winking, Ish flipped her hair.
At least she could still act confident, no matter what the circumstances were. Nil's death hadn't affect her that much.
***OOC: Whoever wants to respond the question, feel free to. [: I've left it open-ended. And it doesn't matter if you're not a female, either. Ish has gender-distinguishing difficulties.***

Suzu turned around after feeling a tap on her shoulder. Seeing a very, unusual dressed women there. Her eyes widened, dude! those boobs where huge! Suzu almost died on the inside, she still had to stuff her bra and yet people walked around with things that big! the world was a cruel place indeed. She shook her head not wanting the other girl to notice what she was looking at, giving a nervous laugh. Then what she asked sunk in.
Suzu was a bit OCD about the way she looked around company, sure at home she did not care but when she was out she wanted to look good to any boy she met so she carried an emergency make-up kit with her always.
"Indeed! I am prepared for an emergency like this!"
She clicked her fingers going in her bag to bring out a small jar and brush. She kept eye powder on her at all times. She then looked for something shiny. All she could find was the knife she had out on the table. She handed the little jar and brush over to the girl and then held the knife so she could see her reflection in it.
"Is this okay?"

Ishtar smiled. "It's better than okay." Relieved that her currently disgusting appearance was going to undergo a transformation, Ishtar took the jar, brush, and knife from the girl.
During the exchange, Ish noticed the girl staring at her chest. She was used to it, and sometimes even flaunted it, but Ishtar felt that in school it was a bit much. After all, she had to have some scruples. She just simply didn't have enough time to go shopping for a jacket.
Sinking a bit into her chair, Ishtar deftly swooped the silky, glittery powder across her eyelids---while still trying to cover up her boobs.
Still smiling at the girl, Ishtar decided to ask a question---maybe even start a conversation.
"So, has this class started yet?"

His attention had first been drawn to Zhen, who like the other girls, would be the first to introduce themselves to him than ask some irate question. He showed no sign of irritation but Zhong was not a lunarian for lengths and bounds of patience. Nodding he pointed to a table a little further down the classroom. "My desk happens to be located a little further back since I have some mild experience in things like this." he replied. After all, if this was truly a survival class, he did have some experience.
Otherwise he would probably have to move closer, but for now he chose to separate himself only slightly from the group. The only thing that set him apart was that he wasn't clumped up in the front of the classroom; he had his own space to cook.
It took everything in Zhong to retain himself from scowling at her. He was not fond of women, especially their tendency to flirt. Not only was he drawn completely to the male gender, but he often had a mild dislike for most women. He had to admit he respected women who could take care of themselves without depending on every little thing, but any other than that he was against.
Moving to the side as Sumu made off to another Lunarian he eyed Eiji and Huang. It seemed as if they would be the only males in this class. He smirked when the thought of the girls having mixed up the details of the class entered his mind. it was not like they had a choice what to take. They were merely given what was required.
However, not one female lunarian in that class wanted to cause him to ball his fists more than Yue Lao. He did not like being deemed to help an individual he had never met. He was not against it, but she could ask for it if she needed it. Zhong knew well that he was not going to be instructed or even implied to help another individual.
His hand was there when requested. Turning his attention to the new classmate he sighed and shuffled a bit further back to his own table. He pulled out a list of ingredients that were laid on his table top and stared at it. His eyes scanned it before his feet shuffled him up to the cabinets to grab what he needed. "How have you been Huang?" he asked as he paused in passing the other lunarian.
