Her ears went up then, and her tail swoops through the air as she smiles widely at her. Even fear wasn't enough to keep her trembling at this prospect. She was so sure that she would be force upon the path of a warrior, her fangs always press into something neck, and her claws forced to be colored in blood. Her ears twitches as she was practically beaming at her.
"Medicine cat please, and thank you."
She declares with a grin. The shift of emotions in his kit was a bit mind blowing ...as she straighten up a bit more, where she no longer seemed to be cowering.
Though she wished for the messenger to be a lot more ...slim and a lot less intimidating, and she had been thinking that it would come from starclan. Though still, it was welcome even in the form of their very scary deputy.

[Tigerfang was shocked to see the kit smile, but gave what she thought was a smile back. Unfortunately, it just ended up looking crooked.]
"Alright, then it's settled." she mewed back at her.
[She left, and as she padded towards her leader's den once more, memories of her own kithood flooded into her mind. Though it wasn't a very good one, she smiled inwardly.]
Dawnkit's personality kind of reminds me of me as a kit...though not as scared...

"Ack!"
Dawnkit meowed after Tigerfang smiled back. A crook toothy smile that looked more like she was baring down on her prey then showing any kind of signs of affection.
The kit's own smile was frozen on her face as the fear reared it's ugly head ....as that shadow moved away, and for some reason, Dawnkit felt as though she had just battled with death and somehow won. Her tail stiff, and she was actually glad that Tigerfang was gone.
The warmth of the air brought back her joy ....slowly as she turns to move stiffly. The idea that she wouldn't have to be a fighting cat nor one that was stuck as den mother either ...kind of did put a bit of a pep in her step.
She felt the need to clean her fur, and make it glossy and shiny. IF she got called to becoming a paw, Dawnkit wanted to make sure she didn't smell like fresh kill.
She skipped away in the end ...as the winter gave way to spring.

Berrystar's head lifted as he saw the deputy returning to his den. That was rather quick! "So what was Dawnkit's response?" he asked excitedly. One of the things he loved most was performing ceremonies. The leader loved ceremonies for as long as he could remember... but he recalled another memory. It was many, many moons ago, during the time of CinderClan instead of StoneClan. He could feel the name of a cat on the tip of his tongue... the cat he must've just named... "Ash..." he accidentally blurted out in a whisper, immediately shutting his mouth before he could say the rest. He cleared his throat nervously, urging Tigerfang to go on.
Mothfur finally padded out of her den, her enlarged stomach making her slightly wobble. She settled down in a nice comfy area, that just happened to be right next to Dawnkit. "Hello Dawnkit! Today you'll be having your apprentice ceremony, correct?" the queen mewed, giving the kit a lick on the forehead.

[Tigerfang was about to respond when she heard Berrystar whisper something. She narrowed her eyes, but ignored it.]
"She would like to become a medicine cat apprentice, just like you said." she said stoically, but with an almost playful glint in her eye, she said with a crooked smile, "You should trust yourself more often..."

He stiffened when Tigerfang narrowed her eyes. She clearly had noticed his whisper, but thankfully didn't say anything about it. Suddenly Berrystar was stricken with surprise as Tigerfang flashed a smile. He didn't react to it at all, as it was a rare moment that he appreciated witnessing. "Wow, I suppose I was right! That's a relief. I would've hated to make her miserable by choosing the wrong option." the tom replied, half to himself. "Alright, her ceremony shall begin when Sunnybreeze comes back."

Dawnkit actually purred as she felt that tongue scrape against the fur on her head. She was smiling upwards at the young Queen. She was the one whom had helped look after her in the nursery, though, she hadn't been there very long ...she had been there long enough for Dawnkit to get to know her. Her tail flips lightly behind her as she looks up and smiles quite brightly.
"Do you really think so?"
She had just have the Clan's deputy question her about her future. She hadn't really thought that it was because her change from a kit to a paw would come that soon.
Though, considering what they had talked about, she was a lot more excited about the change. Before, such a talk would have her hiding back in the dens, and she was sure that Queen would notice this differences.

[Tigerfang quickly wiped the smile off her face and resorted back to her stone-like expression. That would probably be her only smile for moons.]
"As you wish, sir." she meowed stoically to her leader. "Would you like me to organize a border patrol, now?"
[She didn't know why she was itching to get on a patrol. Maybe because the camp was stifling her or she was itching to stretch her limbs. Either way, she hoped Berrystar would say yes.]

Berrystar looked thoughtful for a moment before nodding. "Yes, you may go on that border patrol. But if you run into Sunnybreeze, could you please ask her what's going on? She's taking rather long." he replied.
Mothfur purred at the kit. "Yes, of course! Although, did I overhear you saying you wanted to be a medicine cat?" she asked excitedly.

[Tigerfang nodded and dipped her head towards her leader.]
"Of course, sir."
[She padded out of Berrystar's den, and scanned the clearing for which cats to take.]
"Smokepelt! Rushpetal! Timberfur! Let's go, we're going to on a border patrol." she yowled across the clearing.

[Sagetail looked up sadly as he heard Tigerfang calling a border patrol.]
Hmm...I would have much rather gone on a border patrol than a hunting patrol...no matter. Whatever is best for the Clan.

Smokepelt immediately padded forward into Tigerfang's sight, ready to go at any given moment. "Hm... I think we should bring another cat. How about Sagetail?" she asked the deputy, seeing the warrior's expression.

Dawnkit's ears went flat. She was looking into Mothfur's face for any expressions of distaste for her choice. She knew that most cats want to grow up to be warriors, to be hunters, killers, and that was the life that everyone wanted. Though she didn't want that life, and she wonder if Mothfur would think ill of her about it.
Yet, she didn't see any of that there, and she seemed even a little bit excited about it. So she meowed quite proudly, though keeping her volume quite low.
"Yes, I want to be a medicine cat."
She purred.
Now, Mothfur probably already knew that Dawnkit didn't really believe in starclan. She wasn't from born from this clan, and even though she acknowledges their existances ...she had a hard time understanding how cats that have long sense died could affect her clan ...in the here and now.
It would be an obstacle that the she-kit would have to overcome with time.

Timberfur rolled his eyes. "She just loves separating us doesn't she," he said to Thrushdash. Thrushdash just laughed. "You better go before she gets mad," he said. Timberfur nodded and ran after Tigerfang with Rushpetal behind him.

Though something else occurred to Dawnkit as she tore herself out from underneath the she-kit's shadow. She balances lightly on her paws, as something occurred to her. If she was going to be Sunnybreeze's apprentice, maybe it was best that she told the medicine cat that as well.
Her tail was flicking in the air with her joy as she calls back to her.
"I just thought of something I have to do."
She declares as she headed for the den. This meant more jumps and climbing since everyone's den was in a sort of cavern, but, the little kit would eventually arrive there to find it empty.
Her tail arched and waving in the air with that thought as she looked deep inside of the tunnel for any signs of life. Flicking her ear lightly when she realized that there was none as she went into the medicine cat's den.
Pressing her nose to the cold floor, she could smell the different herbs, Juniper berry was the loudest of the scents today. That meant a fresh batch somewhere inside, and that was just a few of the herbs in there.
The place smelled delightful to her, but she had to focus. That wasn't the scent she was looking for as she scented for Sunnybreeze, but her scent was old and stale in this place.
She sighed lightly.
Probably out hunting for more herbs, getting to her paws, Dawnkit decided something that most kits had enough sense not to do. She had decided to go and look for Sunnybreeze herself to tell her the news.
For Dawnkit, this wasn't the first time outside of the Clan's home ground, but, it would be her first time ....since she had arrived doing so.
Normally shy, and a lot more cautious, this rush of excitement ..moved her paws. She leaped down from he ledges, and padded toward the entrance of the camp. It wasn't like anyone would notice, though, as she prepared to leave a single moment of caution raced through her head.
~What if Sunnybreeze came back before you returned?~
It stopped the kit for but a moment as she looked back at the camp. Maybe, she should wait. Then she looked forward again as she sat down, just a few moments anyway.
