Mmm, and once they start weeding off the people who don't agree with them (because we can only put up with this s**t for so long) then everyone just agrees with them. So when somebody disagrees they have this huge crew of backups. But they're all just a bunch of prinks who are closed minded and think there is only one way to do something.

Isn't writing about doing it differently, though? It's about asking the what if questions and coming up with a different answer.

Well in that poster's defense slash is way too overdone in fanfiction. But I can understand how you would get insulted by that since that's what you write. I think that we need more homesxuality that nobody seems to care about. Like a character in a non romance (this would never work in a romance) just happens to be gay. Nobody freaks out or anything, they treat them like an ordinary couple. That's how I'm planning on treating my ninja and her girlfriend in my Ninja comic. When I talk about the ninja I never clarify that she's a lesbian, so when I talk about her girlfriend people are kind of thrown. But I don't let her being a lesbian become a defying characteristic.

I wish we could get to the point in society where race, sexuality, religion, didn't matter. But I still know people who are against interracial marriages (granted, they are from an older generation) so homesexual ones are going to take a bit long.

KaNugget - Haha yeah exactly. It was really just the fact I didn't understand how a sexuality can be 'overused'. If so, isn't heterosexuality overused? Haha, I just thinking the growing number is people becoming more acceptable.

Since we're discussing schools and majors and such in Desert's Journal, I felt the need to lay out my requirements for my major here--just so we can have some comparison between English-American education systems.

Required Core Courses (Gen. Eds.)

Each class is given a letter, as well as a number, and we have to complete one course in each letter, except for J, where we have to complete two courses.

A: Basic English Skills, Usually covered by SAT scores
B: Basic Math Skills, Usually covered by SAT scores
C: English Composition, may be avoided by passing the AP English exam with a 3 or higher
D: Introductory Level Math, may be avoided by passing AP Calculus exam with a 3 or higher
E: Basic Philosophy Course
F: Performing Arts Course (Drama, Music, Art, Creative Writing)
G: Performing Arts History Course
H: Basic Literature Studies
I: Other Times/Places Studies (Greece, Rome, China, Germany, etc)
J: Social Science
J: Social Science (must be in different department from first J-Credit)
K: Science course (may be avoided by passing AP Science Exam)

With the exception of the D and K courses, all of those are 3-credit classes.

The Environmental Science minor is 18 credits in the department, and you work with a professor to determine what you should take.

The music minor is just Theory I and Music History until 1900, plus 14 other music credits.

So when you do the math out:

Roughly 135 Credits
At $800 a credit (Because I'm out of state)
Gives me $108k
Plus $10k a year for room and board
Gives me $158k Total for school
And since I get about $10k in grants each year
And pay about $5k out of pocket
I'm borrowing about $83k for school

Wow. That's actually not as bad as I though it'd be. ^_^ And I might get residency for my last year if I can find an apartment with some friends, so that would make it even less.
Granted, I'm still going to be in debt for the rest of my life, but, eh. There's more important things in life than money, you know?

What the--- You take SATs when you're TEN? We don't take them until our 2nd, 3rd, sometimes 4th year of high school.
