((Eh, I'm gonna try to get out of my funk. Not expecting grandiose writing. D: ))

The elf's expression froze in a tight, awkward look. He was internally and externally silent some time, before bursting dramatically in his mind: Since when does 'It's late' mean 'I'm leaving'?!
Nevertheless, Vaelnephrin laughed it off, waving at the silliness. "No, no, no." He said, cheerfully, "I meant that I'm rather tired, as I suspect you both to be. Sustaining a wound, carrying a friend--and all in the rain? Seems a bit tiresome to me. As for this one," He motioned to himself, speaking in third person, "Well, my magic may not be extraordinary, but I'm rather ordinary, so it is a tad stressful on the mind. A good meal goes a long way, but there's no cure quite like shut-eye." Vaelnephrin the eloquent thus said, in a long way, that he wanted to go to sleep. Jiko congratulated himself on the rendition, and Vaelnephrin smiled in embarrassment.

Though it did seem odd, this restful demeanor. What did he expect to do in the morning? Take his newfound friends out on a lovely picnic? Skip down a rainbow road to find a pot of gold? Jiko sarcastically chided himself on this odd carelessness. He really had no business with these people, now that he'd been fed and attained a new identity. It would be best to have left, but now--SLEEPOVER BUDDIES!
Vaelnephrin smiled strongly, fighting back the caustic thoughts, and pretended to clean his face and outfit from crumbs.

Sedricks Theme

Still seated upon the couch as Ame positioned herself at the window, Sedrick wasn't sure what to think, but hearing that Vael wasn't leaving, it was simply his misunderstanding of his words; it slightly made Sedrick feel foolish but he wasn't about to openly state it. Instead he lowered his head slightly, making it seem he was looking towards the tea cup and bowl upon the coffee table. "Oh, yeah... I knew that." He stated attempting to cover up his previous blunder even though it was clearly to late for such an attempt. Because of Sedricks, eyes not being of amazing power, he saw Vael's brushing of crumbs being just that, He seemed like a rather poetic individual, but then again, it usually took a while for Sedrick to really get to know someone.

With Sedrick's full stomach, and the taste of rum still clinging to the inside of his mouth, he was beginning to get slightly tired with the mention of rest also. He hadn't rested since he got to this city, and it was probably about time he rested properly anyway. "Hm... Sounds like an idea Vael..." Sedrick stated, his Irish accent clinging to his words as he stood to his feet, walking to the center of the room. "Uh... Ame? Do you have blankets and such? I'd be happy to help you set the place up for resting?" Sedrick stated, arms out slightly hands within expressing motions of desire to be of service. He disliked taking without giving anything back, so if he could help, He'd likely do so as much as possible.

((Heh! No worries Sahjii I'm just happy that you posted X3 mines not great either.))

xxxxxElaine couldn't really make out the face of the person standing at her doorway in the dark room. Judging from the voice, and silhouette it was a man. "Oh.. I guess that would be okay." She smiled weakly. "I think there is some stew left.. Just start up the stove, and it should warm up pretty quick... Oh the wood is stacked by the wall."

Hearing the one called Gannet or Mansi, speak she was a little confused by what he meant by circumstances. She figured it didn't really matter.. She would just have a doll watch him just in case. "Nice to meet.. Um.. Sorry that I can't really stand up to greet you." She offered a weak smile.

Zev was a little confused as what Gannet meant by "...Sometimes Mansi, but that only depends on certain circumstances" but decided to leave it alone for now, if they were both still wake later than he might consider asking. Zev glanced back at Gannet ~Is it just me or is he staring at me alot? Hm...but then again Elaine did the same thing earlier. Maybe its just me over thinking about it~ Zev walked past Gannet and yelled back to both of them "I'll sort out this Stew, you two can talk some more if you want, or you can sit in the living area Gannet, we don't mind"

Zev headed for the kitchen and followed his nose, pretty soon he found the stew and started up the fire and threw in two more logs, he hoped that would be enough to heat up the remaining stew. Zev lifted the lid to see just how much was left and saw there was enough for a small bowl for him and Elaine while the guest could have about a bowl and a 1/2. He hoped that would be enough for Gannet at least until morning. "Hey Elaine, would you like a bit more stew as well? There's just enough for all of us" He shouted as he sat down in one of the seats near the wall and waited to hear a reply shout back. Zev started to ponder about sleeping arrangements now, he wouldn't mind sharing his bed if there wasn't another or even sleeping on the window sill of the bedroom, oddly enough he found them quite comfy but he would decided closer to the time.

Ame Tenshi

For those who think and those who know,
There is always a danger,
A danger beyond all comprehension,
So to be idle and wait a while would be a new kind of detention,

Ame smiled and looked at them, "I have two guest bedrooms," she said and ran a hand though her hair, "So there is really nothing to set up, I just have to take you to the rooms." She twirled her hair in her fingers and shifted back and forth in a swaying motion back and forth on her feet before she stepped forward, "Follow me please," she said.

Her apartment was fairly small, but her father had made it a bit bigger by purchasing two apartments and breaking a wall to make the home bigger. There were four rooms one was hers, one was her fathers and the last two were guest rooms. She also had 2 and 1/2 baths. It didn't take long to get to the first room which her father labeled the Red room, both guest rooms have a different name, the red room has red walls, cherry wood flooring, a large queen sized bed with a fluffy red down comforter and golden sheets. All the furniture was cherry wood. She smiled, "This is the first on you can decide which one of you will sleep in here."

The second room was affectionately called the Dream room, it was drastically different from the warmth and intense colors of the Red room. The Dream room had light blue walls and light oak wood flooring and furniture. This room had a large queen sized bed with a white down comforter and blue sheets. The wood furniture in this room was all oak like the floor.

((OOC: It's all good, I know how it feels so don't worry about it. Frankly my writing isn't very good right now either.))

So to be in the dark,
Is to be alive for a new start,
Don't be naive and think to part,
For we will once again be placed in danger.

Beneath the wide-eyed and pleasantly awed elf's exterior, a thief burned in the brilliance of C A S H. While Vaelnephrin remarked about the interior decoration, and oh how lovely the material on the drapes, Jiko was musing over the techniques it would take to recover such items. He had never felt so anxious! And yet, it was all like a juicy piece of meat he wasn't able to taste. Jiko had to continuously remind himself that the situation was dangerous. By giving in to the urge to take things now, or even the plotting of sneaking in later, he would be risking this identity and that of Sedrick's. Not to mention, the owner wasn't exactly a helpless, foolish blond--stealing from her would be like a mouse taking fish from a cat.

"Quite honestly," Vael answered, after the tour, "I would be pleased to sleep in either one of these rooms." What a lie. He was in a damn dangerous situation now--there would be no sleeping. As far as he could tell, he was a mouse caught up in some cheese. A trap could spring at any moment.

Of course, his paranoia and fear never betrayed on Vael's face, or really at all. Vael looked warmly at Sedrick. "You can have your pick, friend, and if you haven't a preference we can flip for it." There was nothing particularly advantageous about either (besides one being a few steps closer to the exit), and neither Vael nor Jiko cared too much about room layout (though the former did have a sense of appreciation).

Sedricks Theme

Sedrick blinked as he was told their were separate rooms, his ears tilting into a rather questioning position as he would first follow Ame's movements with his head before following behind her with Vael. He would look through the rooms, as Ame offered them to each of them, although from first glance he had already decided upon which room he wanted. It had nothing to do with strategical positioning, colour or even what furniture it might of held within. It was the warm feel. This alone made him remember his time with his tribe, his Tent or Hut referred to by some, with the light of the day beaming upon it and pressing through, the inside of his old home had the same warm feeling that the red of the room gave.

Sedrick's eyes Shifted between Vael and the room as his ears lowered back as his body did the same, as though readying to pounce. As Soon as Vael went to utter the offer of the rooms, Sedrick leaped through the doorway of the red room, arms spread and legs together in a massive leap. "I CALL DIBS ON THIS ROOM!" He shouted loudly as he landed within the room before leaping upon the bed and curling upon it tightly, rubbing his head against the pillow. He didn't know that he was gonna be offered the room, guessing it was simply his animal-istic instincts telling him he needed to fight for it, or get to it first so no one could complain.

He didn't know that Vael would of let him have the room but this way he knew he had it, He would open his eyes and look towards the door way, raising an arm and waving happily towards the two of them. "Thanks for the room Ame! See you guys in the morning!" He began to get himself comfortable upon the top of the bed, enjoying the soft texture beneath him rather then trapped between it. He wasn't sure what the other two would do at this point, but right now he was simply grateful to have a place to sleep, and a comfy one at that! He'd need to owe Ame a couple of favours after this.

((X3 sorry for the wait))

Ame Tenshi

For those who think and those who know,
There is always a danger,
A danger beyond all comprehension,
So to be idle and wait a while would be a new kind of detention,

Ame giggled lightly at Sedrick's antics. She shook her head and stretched lightly. She looked at Jiko and smiled, "I guess that leaves you with the other one, huh?" she said and smiled lightly, "Good night Sedrick," she said and shut the door. She smiled at Jiko and motioned for him to follow her to the other room, "It was very nice of you to let him have that room," she said as they walked toward the other room.

She paused at the door of the Dream room before opening it, "This is the room you will be staying in," she responded and smiled. The cool calming colors of this room were very soothing to Ame, sometimes if she felt stressed she would just sit in the room to calm down although she spent most of her time in her room or her fathers. She did miss him greatly but it wasn't as if they didn't write each other once in a while. She rocked on the balls of her feet and smiled.

She twirled her hair with her fingers before she turned, "Sleep well," she said and smiled, "If you need me I will be down the hall." She walked quietly down the hallway and then thought about it, she hadn't shown either of them where the bathroom was before showing them to their rooms. She shook her head and shrugged, they are bright enough to find it themselves. She headed toward her room and went inside. This room was a rich purple color, with dark wood furniture, she had a make-up dresser off to the corner and a large princess style queen sized bed in the middle of the room.

If one knew the layout of the actual building they would know that this room should be larger, but by looking at it you can't tell that there is a secret passage way to a hidden room with in this one, which is also connected to her father's room. This passage way goes to the room where their coffins are kept. She glanced at the secret door before taking a seat on her chair in front of the make-up dresser. She got out her hair brush from the beautiful dark wood gold inlay dresser drawer and began brushing her hair. She counted quietly as she ran the brush through her hair, "One, two, three..." she said as she brushed.

She was ready for an interesting night, this was double so because she hadn't fed tonight like she had been planning to. She continued brushing as she took her mind off what she had needed to do but hadn't accomplished and put it on a better task of assessing her new friends. Sedrick seemed friendly but EVERYONE seems friendly at first, it isn't until you really get to know them that you can actually judge them, although there was a kind of fuzziness that reminded her of a feline, not just in appearance but in attitude and she couldn't help but be drawn to that. Jiko is another story though, although to her he seemed like a decent person and he was nice enough there was a sense of uneasiness she had when she was around him. She eyes scanned her reflection as she pulled the brush through her hair, "Thirty-two, thirty-three..." She wanted to like him, but it felt like he was up to something, although that something she didn't know exactly.

Is to be alive for a new start,
Don't be naive and think to part,
For we will once again be placed in danger.

Once sexy left the room, it got akward . He thought in his head, smileing at the little nickname he gave Zev. Gannet wondered what it would be like if he called him that anytime soon. He smiled at the idea. The demon then realized he was staring off into space with a slight pervy smile. He stopped, hopefully before the girl noticed. He was happy to know there was food, once Zev told them all the way from the kitchen. " Ah,.. good." He thought outloud to himself. Gannet then looked at the girl. " Would you like me to take you downstairs?" He was only a little closer to the bed, enough to have his arm reach out to her if needed. He wanted to get into everyone's good graces. They are after all showing kindness to him, he did felt they deserved it as well. He wasn't mean to people for no good reason, unless he wanted to mess with them, but that kind of thing would be for later. There was this odd feeling coming from him, that mabe this little girl doesn't trust him. Gannet could understand that. He'd just rather seem all sweet and kind to her to show Zev that he wasn't gonna ingore; what he assumed to be a sickly child.

For a brief second, Jiko's guard dropped. "I CALL DIBS ON THIS ROOM!" The feline yelled, interrupting Vael, before charging into the warm room and burying himself beneath he blankets. Since this entire time Sedrick had remained so low in energy, passive, and perhaps with a tint of melancholy, this explosive action was far from Jiko's image of him. It was so shocking; it was so funny! Jiko took a step backward, lifted his head with a non-Vael like side-ways smile, and laughed deeply from his chest. Vaelnephin's laughter was always melodic and graceful--this was an airy, unrestricted guffaw that was almost a chortle.

With a very warm and ardent expression--not nearly as polite and chiseled as before--Vael turned back to Ame and--
--froze in place.
Vael caught; Vael coughed. Turning a bit red in the face, Jiko attempted to cover up his mistake by pretending that the laugh was no more than an awkward cough. When eventually he stopped, winded and weary, he politely bowed his head to Ame.
"I really didn't have much of a choice though, eh?" He responded silly to her compliment. The smile he had now was once again reserved and civil, though his eyes hinted at friendliness. The good spirit had rubbed off on him, but he was still frantically trying to recover. So, he quickly went about removing himself from the situation.
"I think the cold and wet got to me." He explained, rubbing his chest and seeming somewhat faint. "A good rest will do the trick, though, I'm sure." And with that, he scurried off into the cool room, closing the door behind.

Almost immediately, Jiko sighed and sank to the floor. He must truely be tired, he thought, since he was beginning to mix up disguises. Which one did that laugh come from again...? "Aurora." He murmured, rubbing his face vigorously as the woman came to mind. Feeling a bit flushed, Jiko crawled to a stand and dropped into bed.

This experience was...nice. There was a nagging of memories throughout this time, all the way until the doppleganger fell asleep. He made no attempt to plan the morning, or delve in his mistakes, like he usually would have. Merely, semi-conscious, the elf shed his clothes and hid under the sheets.

The fact was, though he did not know it yet, Vaelnephrin was correct. The wet and cold had got to him--that is, Jiko--and he was now in far worse a situation than before.

xxxxxElaine figured she must of looked pretty pitiful in her current state, but it couldn't be helped. "A-ah.. It's okay." She wasn't used to be offered help with anything. It was quite foreign to her. "I need to sleep anyways. Lots of work to do tomorrow.." Elaine sighed thinking about the horrid condition the shop was in from last night's break in. She also had to work on adding the finishing touches on a couple of dolls before she delivered them.

"And.. The kitchen is just down that hall." Elaine knew her house layout was a little strange to others, but to her all of it was normal.

Gannet moved his hand away. He scratched the back of his head akwardly. " Well, alright then. I'll go eat. Sleep well Elaine." He said the last part in a slight seductive voice. He wasn't trying to seduce her though; this was one of those things that slipped once in a while. Gannet turned his back to Elaine. He walked out of the room and the young man went into the kitchen where Zev was. " Elaine is gonna sleep instead. I guess that means it's just you and me.." He had an amused smile on his face. Gannet was thinking this as a date, though he doubted that Zev was. He seemed more of a guy into women, but unsure about himself. He assumed the unsure part was real. That way he could show him what it means to love man. He sighed happilyat the though. " Oh,.. do you need help with that." He quickly stood behind him with his hands out to help or whatever else.

Zev hadn't heard a reply from either and got up to inspect the stew. Just then from behind him he heard Gannet's voice telling him about Elaine sleeping and offering help. Zev already had the bowls ready and poured the last remaining stew into the bowls. "Well, I'm not too surprised; alot has happened tonight I'm sure she's tired. And no worries I've got it." He said turning around with a bowl in either hand. With a small smile he handed Gannet a bowl and led him to the room he was currently staying. ~I just hope Elaine doesn't mind us eating in here, if any mess happens I'll clear it up before bed~

Zev sat on the windows ledge while he motioned Gannet to use the bed, he seemed to need it more. "You can use that bed tonight it seems you'll need it more than I do" Zev then started to eat his stew but then remembered about how he found Gannet just outside of Elaine's house, and thought he might as well ask about it, if Gannet wanted to drop it he would. After a few more bites Zev placed his stew down next to him and glanced at Gannet "If you don't mind me asking, how did you end up in that state i found you in outside?" He said leaning forward crossing his hands under his chin using them as support.

Ame Tenshi

For those who think and those who know,
There is always a danger,
A danger beyond all comprehension,
So to be idle and wait a while would be a new kind of detention,

Ame sighed heavily as she continued brushing her hair, her thoughts were still on her new companions, "Forty-three, forty-four, forty-five," she said under her breath as she drew the brush through her hair over and over again. Her soft eyes traced her reflection sadly, her pale skin, her exotic purple-blue eyes, her long blond hair and her constant petite and fragile appearance that doesn't change. She shook her head lightly as she hit fifty and shifted to the other side of her head and kept counting.

Her stomach growled faintly and she glanced down for a moment before shifting her gaze back to the mirror. She wondered lightly what her friends might taste like, although she would never really take a bite of either of them. She never really bites anyone, when she goes hunting she usually just ends up going to the butchers and asking for pigs blood which she drinks because now a days you don't know what diseases are in the blood you drink. "Sixty-one, sixty-two, sixty-three, sixty-four," she shifted lightly and started brushing a new section of hair.

Her hair was her favorite feature and she loves it so much even though she can't really cut it or style it much different than she does now. She yawned lightly and continued brushing while counting. To be honest tonight was going to be the first night she was going to actually feed off someone but like she always does she chickened out or well having to take care of Sedrick and Jiko was a good excuse to put it off for another night. She only feeds on humans when her father is around and that is usually when he takes her out feeding. "Ninety-one, ninety-two, ninety-three," she said as she pulled the brush down her hair. It didn't take long for her to get to one hundred in which she stood up and put the brush down.

She ran her hand through her hair before slipping into the secret passage way and going down to the coffin room. She opened the fridge in the secret room and took a container of pigs blood out, her last one. She frowned as she drank it quickly before closing the fridge and licking her lips. The pig's blood isn't as sweet as human's blood but it was still filling enough. She shook her head and wiped her lips before she headed back upstairs.

Once upstairs she walked the halls checking on her guests. She didn't go into the rooms just listened to make sure they both were breathing easily and sleeping soundly. Her eyes scanned the doors quietly as she twirled her hair in her fingers quietly.

So to be in the dark,
Is to be alive for a new start,
Don't be naive and think to part,
For we will once again be placed in danger.

Sedricks Theme

((Confirming Time Skip, Event is coming soon! Thanks for posting Meg! as awesome as always!))

Sedrick's eyes slowly opened to the feel of the room growing warmer in colour, as light begins to push through the curtains(sp?) bouncing about the warmly coloured room to increase its already existing feeling. He couldn't help but blink the sleep from his eyes, a hand raising to rubbing his left eye as his mouth opens wide, emitting a rather large yawn. His body arching and turning upon the ground as he rolls too and fro, waking his body up the only way he knows how. He began to turn his body upon the mattress, pawed feet meeting the flooring as he stretched toes apart. Body slouching, head lowered as his hand that was rubbing his eye fell to his neck, claws slightly exposed as he began to scratch himself.

He would lower his head for a moment before shaking his head quickly, his hair flip flopping before returning to its usual messy self. He felt for the small statuette and sighed in slight relief that it was still within the tight braid of his hair. He would push up from the mattress and stretch one final time before plodding his way towards the door. He would wrap a hand about the handle and slowly push it down, trying to avoid making noise of any sort, not wanting to wake his new found companions from what he thought would be deep sleep, it was the crisp of dawn right now after all. He looked around slowly from within his doorway, piercing blue spheres glancing back and forth within the lowly lit home before he began to sneak out of his room.

He made his way towards the main living room and where the entrance of the kitchen was, this is where he remembered their being an entrance. His eyes scanned the area easily seeing everything as though it was lit up, he started to search for a scrap piece of paper and some ink, he wanted to leave a note letting his Friends, well the people he saw as friends, know where he was. He wanted to go for a bit of a run, perhaps find a paying job where he could then use the money to buy more alcohol for his dwindling supply.

He managed to find a Ink pot and a scrap piece of paper, placing them upon the coffee table they had eaten at the other night, picked up the quill and began to roughly write. Of course Sedrick being with his kind for a large portion of his life so far, he never learned much of the literature of the common language, not to mention he wasn't one for being schooled. He did how ever get some basic lessons from travelers at bars, so unfortunately his message looked at though it was written by a drunken three year old. A tongue Flicked up upon his lips as he was really trying, the occasional scribble followed by a scurrying wrist. He would likely be at this for a while, trying to make what he's writing understandable.
