Ovan smiled upward, "You forgot the gangsters and the aliens." He said with a laugh. Zojes hand felt so soft on his forhead, it was making his eyes heavy.

She laughed "Aliens? Im finding that one hard to believe she said notcing a faint scar on his temple. She brushed his hair over it. "You are so strange sometimes." she smiled

Ovan closed his eyes, "I wouldnt be me if I was anything less..." He began to drift into a soft slumber.

Zoje bent down and kissed his forehead "No you wouldnt. You better not change Ovan Maxwell." she whispered and leaned back against the tree trunk feeling, for the first time in three years, content with what life had to offer.

The flames where everywhere. She could feel the heat blistering her arms and heard the screams from the rest of the schools inhabitants. She saw Volrath running out, sword in hand towards the figure in the midst of it all. She heard the figure laugh, cold and mercifuless as he waved his hand a bolt of lightining struck Volrath sending his body srashing through the wall. She could feel the tears streaming down her face and screamed "NO! Then she saw Ovan rushing past her she tried to grab his arm to stop him but he just shrugged it free. He threw something at the figure in the fire but it jsut bounced away as if it had hit some invisible shield. The figure conjured a dagger from midair and threw it at Ovan. She watch in horror as the dagger pireced his heart and ran towards his lifless body. Then the figure spoke. "Hahaha! Oh look its dear little Zoje, off to save her friends." She turned and saw who was standing in the fire. Morgan "Havent you realized it now? Ive won there is no hope for the world you have failed pathetic little mortal." Then she was falling thorugh darkness. She screamed.

Ovan jumped awake at her shreik, "Oh my-Zoje..." He reached out and grabbed her hand, "Are you ok?" He asked her softly, it was a bit past midnight now.

She grabbed the pendant hanging from her neck. "F-fire." she stammered everywhere. "Everywhere. It was everywhere." she looked up and saw Ovan. Alive. She hugged him tightly.

Ovan held her tightly, "Shhhhh, its alright, it was just a dream... your safe." He kissed her forehead softly as he cradled her.

"I cant do it Ovan. I cant defeat Morgan. I cant protect anyone. The Oracle was wrong." she said it before her mind processed the thought that those words were a secret and shouldnt have been said aloud.

Ovan tried to understand what she had just said, "Yes you can... No one ive ever seen has ever had as much power as you. And we still have those books to look through." He rubbed her back gently, "If anyone is going to save us, its you."

She smiled and leaned against his chest. "Thanks for saying that. But it isnt true." If I could do half the things Morgan can Id be partying my a** off not worrying about when hes coming to kill us all. She thought dryly.
