Rei blinked, then stared at the counter for a while. "Hang...out?" She repeated quietly. That was new, someone asking her to hang out. She stood up and fixed her hat by habit. "Maybe...some other time. I...I really should find my grandfather again,. in case something has come up." Call it an excuse, but Rei wasn't sure how to respond to such a request like just hanging around someone with no purpose in mind. Her grandfather would surely scold her lightly for turning down a chance to make a friend.

"Haah, you're a bit boring." Ace smiled, his tone teasing. "It's not a problem, see ya' around then!" he grinned, backing away in short hops until he spun on his heels and casually walked around the town, buying a barbeque stick and eating it, apparently, his appetite not satisfied.

Rei just watched him walk away and turned to walk away herself. Her grandfather would likely be waiting for her in the kirigakure housing, which is what he told her before she left this morning. She stuck her hands in her pockets and gave small nods to some of the older villagers, who'd wave or nod to her in recognition. She'd ignore the fact that when she passed completely, they'd turn their heads and talk of her like gossiping children in an academy. She was vaguely aware of a smaller shinobi following her, though the reasons for why were all too different. Couldn't be good, as she had a more negative feeling about this younger boy. She sighed to herself. Fine, let him try...I guess it'd give me a pretty good distraction.

Ace stopped in place and blinked. He was going the opposite direction. Once again turning on his heels, Ace darted in and out of the crowds, and dodged Rei, then going over to Okami. People were muttering at how he was recklessly running in the busy town, though Ace didn't care. He emptied his wallet by paying Okami back for the ramen, and also for the training. He smiled and bowed to Okami, then began to walk away and went to anywhere he strayed.

Rei walked on, seeming to ignore the boy trying to sneakr around and follow her. She stopped for a moment to talk to a man selling some instant ramen. Sounded pretty good, and she could give it to her grandfather when she got back to him. She took out her small blue plain money purse. Her eyes narrowed, and she whipped her hand towards the sky as the boy jumped and tried to snatch it out of her hand. "Pretty foolish, trying a direct approach." She tossed teh money purse to the vendor, confusing him a bit, but he caught it. Rei caught the boy's fist and held his arm firmly by the wrist by her side. "I've had attempts of robbery on me before. Now quit it and run along. I don't want to have to express my dislike ofr this more than I already am." She let him go, and he scowled at her for a moment. She sighed as she took her money purse back and took out a small amount of money. She handed it to the boy, who took it with confusion on his face. "Take it. Just don't let me catch you trying to steal from me again." The boy nodded and ran off. Rei nodded to the vendor and bought a couple of cups of the instant ramen, then continued on her way home.
