POWER SWITCHING MINI-ARC
...yeah...um...the power-switching mini-arc, maybe a Shinigami can figure out to actually somehow switch the power-switching so that it also affects the Sephira?
SPIRITUAL GAME
Why can't we simply have a couple of teams - so that we split up the Shinigami too, so that the Arrancar numbers will match?
...am I making sense here? gonk

- I think they should have to duke it out eventually so that they can learn more about their temporarily new Zanpakuto and that could be seen as the only way to defeat the Sephira.[who are they, by the way?]

@Angel: I was thinking of having the power-switching phenomenon to be based on a contagious disease or something. That way, when the Sephira battle the Shinigami they will eventually get affected.
Ah... so there will be perhaps 3 teams-- 2 Shinigamis and 1 Arrancar teams?
@Naomi: Yes, the tournament thing... problem is I can't figure out how to twist the plot to bend towards that conclusion. gonk
Hmm... board games, I agree that they will make the Games more interesting... but... what's Drafts, Life, and Pictionary? sweatdrop
I like the idea though, especially the Charades part.

 Diseases impair body function, they do not affect the soul, so that would never work. And before you use the logic that Shinigami are souls on me, let me slap you; -slaps- It is very clear, especially through watching the conversation between Ruki and Kaien, then Ulquiorra and Inoue, and finally that Ichigo was able to die and come back to life, that Shinigami are composed of a spirit body which houses spiritual organs that shed blood and then a soul which houses the Zanpakuto of the Shinigami. This is roughly the same for Hollow. And board games would be too difficult to RP. >_> @Eke: That's not necessarily true. emo

The Zanpakuto spirits tell them [I don't know if this is possible with what you had in mind] that it is a new test of trust. Maybe they were preconditioned to have the relationships that they share and so learning to trust another Zanpakuto helps them to deepen those relations even further...I think. It would be the same "test thing" for the spirits as well. Pushing the limits, if you will.
On the games...you don't know Life or Pictionary? I'm not even going to deny that Drafts is not as well known. I'll see if I can find a professional description for you and if not, relatives will help.
@Tiger: Not really with how I'm thinking of it: The 12th Division [the magicians that you are] creates a the world of the board game for the Shinigami either to be in the game, the one to move stuff or just supervise. [Idea is still a work in progress.] ...φlay with her?« xxx

That sounds like a lot of depth, Nacchan. But...by the way, have we figured out exactly who is going to get whose zanpakuto spirit?
Random number generator?

Hmm...I know Life, Pictionary and Drafts, but I think they're pretty hard to actually be able to...you know...make so that the Shinigami could actually use their abilities.
But I like the idea of a massive board game...

I'll just say this now; If Hei is alive when this arc starts, he WILL, without a shadow of a doubt, master his new Zanpakutō before anyone and he WILL, without a shadow of a doubt, be able to pull better abilities out of any Zanpakutō he ends up with. I'm talking making high-level bindings and large explosions with a Zanpakutō as weak as Cho. Just putting that out there. It's well within his abilities, you know. @Naomi: Sounds like more work than I wanna do. -really lazy-

@Taiga: It was a metaphor... or something. Okay, think of the power switching phenomenon as a current of electricity that originates from a source and jumps to different persons that attract it-- the Shinigami and the Arrancar.
@Naomi: That seems a bit of a stretch though, but the 'test thing' is too good an idea to pass up. Perhaps we can incorporate the two into each other?
Nope, I have no idea what they are.
@Angel: Yes, before the mini-arc starts, those who will join will be given a week to post in a thread where they will be assigned a number. At the start of the mini-arc, you will have to generate a random number in your first post, and the person who number you generates has their zan's ability transferred to you.
However, it will not be a switch and your zan is still up for grabs and the person you took it from will still need a zan to replace it with.

But I see your point, perhaps changes are in order.
1. Two weeks from now a thread will be created and those who wish to join have one week to post there.
2. They will be assigned a number that will be used for the next thread.
3. After the week-long thread, those who joined will be asked to post in another thread where they will post and generate a random number in their post.
4. They will acquire the zan of the person's who number they have generated, and so on.
5. Once everyone has a switched zan, the mini-arc will then start.

Dante_Shadowolf Taigaa-tono I see. How not? I can understand if it's Yuki's or Tsukiko's zan, but not all of the zan's are too keen on letting someone like Hei master them. You say it like they'd have a choice in the matter; he'd rip them a new one. All a Shinigami needs to conquer his Zanpakuto is a strong will and the ability to learn. The getting along thing would be easy; he's a master of deception. Then to subdue the spirit with Jinzen and use brute force. The likelihood of him being unable to do that is slim.
