It was a good thing Evari was only eating a muffin now, because her words made her choke on the muffin. Wh-what?! Evari coughed and swallowed the bite, patting her chest and rubbing at her throat. "I-it...depends on...the movie, Tori." Evari coughed, blushing hard and looking away to watch people outside the window. Geeze!

"Some people do." Others did worse, she heard! "If it's a date or somethin', usually...but there's lotsa people who don't...and who go to really see the movies."

Oh...it wasn't a date. Damn. Evari was actually kind of disappointed by that but she made sure not to let that show on her face, instead giving a nod to show she understood. Fine, fine. This wasn't a date. But...if it wasn't a date then Victoria shouldn't have to pay for Evari's things. She grinned and shook her head, wagging a finger at Tori. "Uh uh. M'payin' for my own stuff. S'not a date." If Victoria really insisted on it then she would just have to be quicker than Evari!

Evari leaned over to watch Tori get a cell phone out of her violin case, telling her she'd call a cab. Wow, really? She thought calling for a cab with a cell phone was only something done for TV for plot convenience! Wow! "Mmkay...I've never ridden in a cab before. Me an' Xai usually walk everywhere. We took a bus once...that...wasn't fun." It had been until that idiot started crying.

"Pff. Money's nothin'. I'll just ask Xai for more." She didn't know where the money came from but Xai always seemed to be able to give her more and more whenever she asked no matter the amount. She didn't need to save!

Evari finished her muffin and put it on the little plate her cheesecake had been on when Victoria asked her question about cheesecake. "Well...it's cake...but it's made'a cheese? S'really good. I don't see why not. You eat it for dessert. Why? Ya wanna try some?" What a random subject change! But Evari wasn't going to complain. Talking about dating and kissing was making Evari nervous. They were just kids! They weren't old enough to be dating, right? Though she wouldn't mind kissing Victoria some more.

Well by that logic wasn't Victoria in the same boat? She'd already paid for all their food, so it was only fair for Evari to pay for their movie tickets. It looked like Evari was going to have to find a way to distract Victoria when the time came...but how? Oh well, she had plenty of time to think about it. She raised a brow when Victoria said she wouldn't even try something just because it was considered a dessert, tilting her head a little. "You don't know you don't like it 'til you try it though! You gotta get more adventurous, 'Tori." Evari laughed, looking out the window when something yellow caught her eye and Victoria said that was their cab. So it was!

Evari didn't have anything to collect. All she had to do was straighten her clothes and accessories, walking around the table and linking arms with Victoria. "Let's go~." Evari chirped, leading Victoria out of the cafe and to the cab. She let go of Victoria to open the door for her, letting her friend climb in first and then getting in after her. She leaned forward to tell the cab driver the closest theater that she knew of, leaning back again and watching her friend for a moment. "...You don't got a coat, do ya?" It tended to get cold in the theater, after all. Damn! She didn't even think of that!

"Have you ever tried half the stuff you say you don't like~?" Evari teased, draping an arm across Victoria's shoulders and shaking her head at the offer to go to her house and get a coat. Nah, it was fine. Maybe it wouldn't be so bad? But she didn't want to waste time. She actually wanted to go to the movies! Evari would never admit to it but...well...she'd never actually been to them! Everything she'd seen and learned had been on television, where she'd seen all her movies up until now. That could've been why she was so excited to go with Victoria. Evari wanted to go herself! "If ya get cold I'll help ya!" Not sure how. She did have a long sleeved shirt on underneath the one she was wearing. If Victoria got cold she could just give her that one. Not like there was any other way to warm someone up, right? Maybe rubbing her arms...but other than that she couldn't think of anything.

"Soooo what kinda movies do you like?" It'd be nice to know what they were going to see, after all.

Romance and mystery. Nice. Two of her least favorite kinds of movies! But if Victoria wanted to see those then she'd let her, since she intended on being the one to treat the other girl. "Ah...I like funny stuff." Evari shrugged, playing with a lock of Victoria's hair. Even her hair was nice! Geeze.

The cab kept driving until it reached the movie theater, and Evari was quick to make sure she was the one who paid for it. Ha! Take that, Victoria! And look, she still had enough money left over for tickets. This part may be a race, however. Damn. "Wanna see if we can find a funny romance movie then?" Romantic comedy! She'd be a lot more willing to watch a romance movie if it wasn't a chick flick. Evari urged Victoria out of the cab and followed after her, linking arms with her again and leading her to the line at the ticket booth where there was a large list of all the movies playing and at what times. They had all kinds of movies! Awesome!

The cab fee wasn't enough to satisfy Evari. She needed to pay for the movie tickets too! She was going to make damn sure of that. If Victoria paid for everything it really would seem too much like a date, and this wasn't a date, right? They'd agreed!

When Victoria pointed out the posters Evari blinked, laughing and nodding her head. "That's how it works, 'Tori. They make the posters so you'll get curious and wanna see what it is. Some people'll just go see a movie 'cause of who's in it, so they put the popular people on the poster. And some'll just go see it 'cause the poster looks cool and they wanna see what it's all about." She really was silly sometimes! Evari shrugged at Victoria's musings about the lady at the window, looking at all the posters they were passing until they got to their turn in line. Hmmm...most of these movies were rated PG-13 or even R. What did that mean?

"Well usually you ask people what the movie is like and also watch the trailers on TV and the computer." Evari giggled, squeaking as she was pulled close to Tori. Ah...o-okay...no big deal. She was just keeping close. They were in a new place. Couldn't lose each other. That's all. Yup. She laughed and nodded at her words, nodding and draping her arm across Victoria's shoulders. Telly? She was so weird! Haha! "Guess so! Whatcha wanna see though? It's your pick." She gestured up to the woman in the ticket booth staring down and waiting for them. It was about time these girls acknowledged it was their turn! Geeze! Evari's arm was still around the other girl's shoulders, but her other hand was hidden in her pocket. She was ready to pay for whatever tickets they were going to buy.
