Oh...oh, right! A cell phone! Xai blinked a moment. She needed to find hers...people on this planet had such weird communication devices. "Then I'll be right back! I have one of those now~!" She chirped, hurrying out of the room and disappearing down the hall into a room. She came back out soon after, practically glowing with excitement as she flipped open a cute blue cell phone she'd bought. She finally got to use it!
...Xai bought it yesterday, really. But she'd figured out how to use it fairly quickly!
"Ummm...bo--" Xai was caught off guard by his question, blinking and staring dumbly at Donovan. She didn't want to hang out with him again? But that was just silly! They were friends, weren't they? She spent time with Luis and Switch without the children around! Why not do the same with Donovan? She smiled warmly after a moment and nodded her head vigorously, opening up her contacts book and starting a new entry. Doooonoovan...there! "Of course I am, don't be silly!" She laughed, waiting for Donovan to give her his numbers and then giving him her own. Both house and cell! This was fun! Oooh! Her phone even had an option for a picture? ...Oh...but she didn't have any pictures of Donovan on her phone. Xai hummed thoughtfully and held up the phone in camera move, tilting her head a bit. She warned him, of course, before taking the picture, and then after getting his approval for the picture she saved his numbers. There! Yaaaay!
"Perfect!" Xai chirped, very glad she'd figured it out without any issue.
Tyyne wasn't all that interested in their parents exchanging numbers, or at least the process itself because she was definitely excited to see Vance again. She released Vance from her hug to pat his head, eating another piece of fruit and looking down at his pudding cup. Wow! He really liked that pudding! "Would you like to bring some home? You and Mr. Bear can eat it together!" Tyyne didn't realize Donovan didn't want Vance ruining his appetite for dinner. Oops! As long as he and Mr. Bear were happy though! Though he looked like he could use a nice toss in the wash soon, but Evari had gotten paint on him once and you couldn't even tell he'd been washed or covered with bright green paint so he should be perfectly fine!
"I think your daddy is ready to leave soon." That made her frown a little, pouting. She didn't want Vance to leave!

Donovan waited patiently for Xai to return, of course getting a good look at her backside as she left the room. The man was a pervert, and not much would change that.
He smiled warmly when she returned, chuckling at her insistence that she would ask for some one on one time. "Oh wonderful. I look forward to it." And whether the woman knew it would be considered a date or not meant very little to the man. As long as he thought so. He got her numbers and giving his own as well, and he of course obliged to getting his picture taken. He smiled a handsome grin for her, and afterward asked that she pose for one as well.
Vance bounced happily. "Yes, please!" He exclaimed, very happy to bring home more pudding. He had long since devoured the cup he had. Vance's happy disposition faded into a frown when it became apparent he would be leaving soon. His bottom lip quivered and tears slowly built up in his bright red eyes. "B-but... i wanna play with..T-Tynne..." He whimpered sadly, sniffing and hugging onto the girl again.
Donovan noticed this, and smiled endearingly at the boy. "Hey now, kiddo. You can see her another day." This did little to soothe the boy's whimpering. Vance still clung to Tynne, not wanting to be separated from his friend.

Xai was more than happy to pose and smile for Donovan's picture, looking at it after it was taken and giggling. This was so exciting! She'd never given her phone number to a man before! And she'd never been given a man's number either. Well, men here. She had plenty of male Ursontaean phone numbers...they worked together! That really was all she did with them.
Tyyne was about to get up and get Vance more pudding when he suddenly started to...to cry?! No! Nonono don't cry! "Ah...y-your daddy is right!" She comforted him, hugging Vance tight and rubbing his back. "Don't cry, Vance. It's okay! We can play again! But if you don't go home with your daddy then Mr. Bear can never see his new home!" Think of Mr. Bear, Vance! Ohhh, she hated seeing Vance like this. She frowned and kissed his forehead, swaying with Vance. Xai pressed a finger to her lip and frowned, looking between the children and the man beside her.
"I'm sorry, I didn't know he'd be so sad to go." Tyyne was petting Vance's hair, her cheek pressed against the top of his head as she swayed with him. It'd be okaaaay, Vaaaance!

Donovan was rather impressed with the young girl. She had a very strong maternal instinct for someone so young. Heck, she seemed to do a better job with taking care of Vance than he did. That little bit of realization made him feel a bit... off. Maybe he should try a little bit harder to get into this father roll he'd been thrust into. This was hard!
Vance sniffed, still holding on tightly to Tynne as she mothered the little guy. He felt a little better after being coddled so, rubbing at his face with a sleeve to dry some of his tears. "O-okay." He agreed. He did really want to show his new house to Mr. Bear.
Donovan smiled assuringly at Xai, shaking his head a bit. "He'll be okay once he gets home. He was just excited today, that's all." Once you distract a toddler, it usually changes their mood.

Tyyne didn't realize she was basically showing up Vance's own father, just wanting to comfort Vance and get him to stop crying. He was so happy and cheery and sweet! Crying didn't suit him. She pet his hair until he managed to get some words out, smiling warmly at him when he agreed to go home. She didn't want him to leave but...sigh. She gently released him a little as he seemed to be getting better, tilting her head a bit. He'd be okay? "My momma has your number and your daddy has our number! We can play again soon~!" She chirped in a continued effort to cheer him up.
Xai made a noise of understanding and smiled again, putting her phone down on the table. Well if he was going to be okay. "Then...you'll be going?" She pouted a little, sad to see her new friend go but she at least wasn't going to cry about it. Xai held her arms open toward Donovan, wanting a hug. She didn't see anything out of the ordinary with this; it was like everything else, Donovan was her friend like Luis and Switch and she hugged them! Even Tyyne and Vance were hugging!

Vance nodded solemnly, sniffing and continuing to rubs his face. He really liked Tynne. A lot. When was soon? Soon didn't mean now, and that is what made him sad. Vance bent down slowly to pick up Mr. Bear, standing up again and holding onto his bear tightly. His pale face was a bit more flushed than usual from his earlier crying. "Promise?" He asked looking up at Tynne hopefully.
Donovan looked back to Xai as she pouted, smiling gently, yet that same mischievous glint still remained in his eye. Oh, but what was this? A hug? For him? Donovan moved closer to Xai, wrapping his arms around her in a hug, one hand on her shoulder blade, and one lightly holding her lower back. "Yes, unfortunately." He said with a chuckle. He knew this woman was naive, but it was just so easy to pretend she was playing innocent. He let her go after a short moment, sliding one hand in his pocket for now, and holding the other one out toward Vance. "C'mon buddy. Time to go."

"I promise!" She replied honestly, wiping away a few stray tears with her thumbs and petting Vance's cheek. Yes, they would definitely play again very soon! She couldn't wait to see him again! Tyyne watched him gather up Mr. Bear and got up herself to go to the kitchen, sneaking two more mixed flavor pudding cups and carrying them back to the kitchen. She'd said Vance could have them! When she returned Xai chuckled, quickly quieting to instead hug Donovan. Eeeee! Hugging a man was so different from hugging a woman!
Xai let go of Donovan and clasped her hand behind her back, rocking from heel to toe. She looked down at Tyyne who had the pudding cups, looking slightly concerned for a moment. Oh dear, Evari wasn't going to be happy...but maybe she could make a quick errand to get new ones. Replace the missing cups. That would be easy to do. Tyyne offered up the cups to Donovan, waiting for him to take them before stepping aside to let them pass her. The girls walked them to the door, Xai holding it open with a warm smile. "Have a safe trip home~! It was very nice meeting you, Donovan! I had fun today." Xai chirped.
"Bye, Vance! Bye, Mr. Donovan!" Tyyne waved to them as they walked out, a huge smile on her face much like her mother's. Once they were gone they closed the door again, continuing on to start preparations for dinner.

Vance smiled a bit as Tynne assured him they would play again soon. He toddled over to his father, clasping his little hand in that of his Guardian's. Donovan held the little boy's hand, mentally tsking at the fact he hadn't gotten Vance to put on his mittens. Oh well.
Donovan looked down at the little girl who was offering more pudding. He chuckled and took the cups from the girl with a nod and his free hand. "Thank you. He'll enjoy these for dessert." Vance kept his eyes locked on Tynne for the most part, the pudding being second priority.
Donovan walked through the door, turning and nodding since he couldn't wave at that moment. "See ya later." He called out to them, Vance waving with Mr. Bear. "Bye bye!" The pair turned and headed for the truck, onward to home after a long exciting day.
