Zandorn went up to the door to discover it was locked, Oh crap... he thought to himself, This could get hairy... he noticed an ID swiper next to the door, For all of the good that will do... My illusions only work on people He looked around and sure enough there were cameras trained on the door, "Well, I guess I'm out of ideas, the door's locked. Do you have any tricks up your sleeve?" Zandorn muttered back to where he thought Telma might be

"Always do," Telma declared cheerily. And in an instant Zandorn was invisible.
Well, not the way Telma and her gun were. To turn something in a powerful invisibility that denies all methods of perception, you have to have extreme familiarity with said object. She wasn't "extremely familiar" with Zandorn and never wanted to be, so cloaking his outer layer would do for now. Human eyes and a majority of recording machines - surveillance cameras and such - wouldn't be able to see him. She just hoped that there was no supreme high-tech stuff in there.
"What's the entrance fortified with?" she asked him, contemplating the next phase.

"It looks like just your average heavy-metal door." Zandorn said back, not yet realizing he was invisible. He then noticed that he indeed was invisable and was very startled when he noticed it, "You could have given me some warning!" He whispered back to where he had last heard Telma's voice

Telma just laughed.
Returning her attention to the door, she began feeling around the edges with her fingers. It was definitely locked, and not one she could hack either. She usually didn't like to deal with sirens or alarms doors like this usually had - they were a real pain in the neck - but sometimes you have to make sacrifices. She stepped back from the door. "Still there? Look, let's force to door open - should give easily, it'll just trigger thousands of alarms. Then we run further into the room and stand in a corner where invisible people won't get stepped on, wait for the commotion to die down, then take our time observing?"
She was fairly certain that once they were inside, alarms and other security measures could be taken care of without so much noise and disturbance for when they wanted to get back out.

Zandorn looked at where her voice had come from with a startled expression... not that anyone would notice seeing as he was currently not visible to anything at all, "Alright, that sounds like a plan... Let's just hope that if there are hidden cameras here I managed to trick them to make me look like someone else, otherwise at least I'll have to ditch town pretty quick after this..." He whipered. He then went up to the door and got a good hand hold. "Alright, ready when you are" he whispered

Unsure if the door opened outward or inward, Telma got both a good handhold and a good angle to let her shoulder shove at the door. "Ready when you are. If it opens outward, tug and wait for the first immediate alarms to settle down before dashing in. If it opens inward, run in as fast as you can immediately."
She paused to flick invisible hair from her face. "Now would be a good time."

"Alright, let's hope it opens inward... Push!" Zandorn said as he started pushing on the door as hard as he could

[[I am really tempted to make it outward, but I think Telma's had enough to deal with so far...]] Telma shoved her shoulder against the door, and the instant she felt it give an inch she forced it open as far as it would go. The moment she could fit through the doors she grabbed wildly for Zandorn, found what she hoped was his arm, and ran in.
Not a second too soon - behind them she felt rather than saw a flash of light, and the blaring of sirens began. "Get scarce!" she hissed, and shoved Zandorn into a corner. She settled herself in a corner across from his, flat against the wall, and watched as security came pouring in.

The door had just opened and then suddenly Zandorn felt himself beeing pulled, "Get scarse" telma's voice hissed in his ear, only then he felt himself being shoved hard in the chest and he was then in the corner. Huh, I could have sworn that I was just pushing on a door... Zandorn thought to himself as he saw several security guards moving toward the door, huh, better lay low...

[[Sorry for taking so long!]] Telma waited until the last of the guards had gone - which took a while. There was constant shouting and running and "didn't-somebody-inspect-this-stuff-for-error"-ing... About an hour and a half later, all was quiet at last.
Waiting another ten minutes to make sure nothing else would happen, Telma finally pried herself away from where she was propped up against the wall and started whispering harshly, "Zandorn! Where are you?"

((yeah, I'm sorry too, been running around a bunch the entire summer razz ))
Zandorn heard Telma's voice and quietly responded, "Over here! Right where you put me." He joked, sitting up a little strieghter in his corner, "What now?"

Telma snorted. "You tell me, you're more familiar with these rift things than I am. I'm assuming it's in this room?"

"Well... I heard it was a smaller one..." Zandorn said, looking around the room. He noticed that it was a relativly small room, that had only three doors in it, including the one they had come through. The other two were symetrically at the top of some metal stairs that looked like they went up to a catwalk, "Let's try one of thoes doors up there." He suggested, getting up and trying to figure out where Telma was based on her voice

Telma didn't dare try to turn off the invisibility gig. She was willing to bet that there were security cameras peppered all over the place, and she could only hope that they were of a low enough level to be thrown off by her rough invisibility-illusion of Zandorn.
"Sounds good," she said, walking up to the steps cautiously. "Tackle these doors the same way we took the last one? I can't imagine security measures slacking off here."
