I don't think I'm the best.
Then again, there's only two of us in the bass clarinet section.
We're matched in skill, so it's all good. We're a relaxed section. 3nodding

i'm not the best, but one of the best. a freshman is trying to challenge me and steal my parts, because we're almost equal in playing ability. i even overheard her talking to the other freshman clarinet, talking about how i'm not better than them and how she wishes she had my parts, and that she knew she would have them if she wasn't a freshman rolleyes . one day i'm gonna tell her this, "you can have my parts, as soon as your tone stops sucking".

I am the only bassoonist in my section, and I am going to Concert band, yet I can play just as well as the soon-to-be Symphonic band bassoonist. Please tell me I'm not the only one out there?!?! I also double as trumpet, which I am really good at too. crying
Concert: Second year
Symphonic: Third year
Wind Ensemble: Fourth and above

I'm certainly not the best, I personally see my self as the worst in the first clarinets -_-;; apparently there is this invisible wall blocking me from first chair and second chair scream but i work hard!!
the best is sadly kimberly...I don't know how or why but she is =____= even if i do practice three hours...i'm unfortunately not the best...wish I was :/...
i used to be in the top three, then i started to get demoted and all that gonk -_-;;;
but I am section leader... blaugh ^_^

When I was in the clarinet section I was firstish. There was this other kid that was pretty much as good as me. I think I was better but I'm probably wrong. (half way through the year this senior who got like third in state came and he is like a freakin prodigy. He is really really good) And my teacher made me play bassoon... and I'm the only bassoon so I'm technically the best in my section. In the lower section I'm pretty much the best but I no one can hear me cuz I'm really quiet (not by choice...). So yeah. There is this other bass clarinet and he isn't too bad though either.

i'm always the best in my section, but i'm always in the lower band. however, it's because my teacher wants me at first chair and the first chair in the other band is the only person better than me in the school. so i'm the best in my band, but the second best in my school. i haven't been in the same band as the best before, but i am next year so i will finally be compared to him.

Ash Rail *being the best in an all-boys school means I'm probably s**t. How does that compare? I'm sure you're very good. Even though i've never heard you play, you are very well informed about..everything, plus you play multiple instruments, so i'm sure you aren't s**t.
