Neely grinned and chuckled. "I think that's the first compliment you've accepted all evening. I'm glad you liked it." he finished his first slice then grabbed another.
"And why shouldn't I be concerned about you? I think you deserve to have someone to be concerned about you. In fact I think everyone does, and not only that I think everyone deserves someone to take care of them and be there for them....you know...romantically or otherwise." he managed to get out.

She raised an eyebrow curiously. "Oh really then" She wanted to challenge his theory further, but she decided that it wouldn't have been an ideal time, so she continued nibbling her slice, thinking of a different topic of conversation as this one was making her uncomfortable

Neely let the silence invade the space between them for several minutes before looking back at the femme across from him. "Ever notice how people feel the need to talk all the time around someone new? To fill the time with mostly useless topics of conversation because it isn't until you're really comfortable with someone that you're okay with silence?" he laughed at himself then shook his head. "See what I mean? I'm guilty of it, and I think everyone is at sometime. Sitting in silence is so awkward..." he shoved his slice of pizza in his mouth to keep himself from talking anymore and shook his head. "But that's life."

She tried to mask a burp, which escaped through her nose. She clutched at it for a moment while he spoke about the awkwardness of an awkward silence. She watched for a moment as she was slightly dismayed that he pointed out this sort of common practice. "Well I suppose everyone is...guilty of it. Silence is often a beautiful thing when timed right" she said with a soft chuckle.

"Oh I agree, or when you're comfortable with someone." he grabbed his drink and slowly drank it for several seconds trying to think of something else to say. He couldn't and just set the glass down and stared into her eyes with a goofy smile.
"Are you doing anything tomorrow?" he asked.

Feeling the need to follow suit, Inibi also took her cup in her paw and when to take a sip, but found that in her attempt to recover from the salty bacon, she had gulped her drink down. No matter, she set it down and wiped a few lingering crumbs from her face as she pondered an answer to his question for a moment.
"I dunno" she said with a stupid grin

Neely flicked his tail happily and smiled wider. "Well, wanna go do something? Movie, or you know...whatever." he reached over and took her hand gently. "I think we could have a lot of fun together." he then coughed and quickly pulled his hand away. "I mean if you want too...." he then blushed hard. "I've uh...never asked...but are you seeing anyone?" he asked hoping the answer wouldn't be yes.

She looked at her paw with his holding it gently. She didn't understand for a moment, but it didn't take long for her thoughts to kick in. She blushed a slight shade of pink and stammered for a moment. "Ah...well...uh..." she had to stop in order to calm herself down. It was no big deal. It wasn't like he kissed her or anything.
"No..I...don't think so. I've only ever talked to one other, and he has long since disappeared from my company"

Neely nodded slowly. "I'm sorry things didn't work out." he said sincerely. He slowly curled his tail around himself. He fidgeted for a moment before fishing money out from under his collar.
He coughed politely then looked back at her. "Uh...if you like I can go pay and walk you home." he said.

Inibi was a bit surprised when she saw the green paper. "Oh...well good. I'm glad someone has that paper stuff." she felt a bit stupid for a moment, but she lept out of the booth, glad to be standing and moving again.
"Ok..good luck walking me home"

Neely followed her out of the booth. "Yeah, allowance and stuff from my Grandparents." he stretched out his wings then chuckled glancing over at her. "Why is that? I can tell you distance doesn't scare me, I can just fly back to the apartment in no time at all." he said with a nod.
He meandered over to the counter and quickly paid for dinner before showing her out. "So no problems at all." he said with a smile.

Inibi out on a weak smile, trying to feign she knew what he was talking about for a moment, then trying to not seem to pathetic. "Although I have a room at the station, I don't call it home. In fact, I don't think I've ever been there"
She paused for a moment and tilted her head before walking out the door, holding it open for him. "Problems? What problems?"

Neely waited for a moment before turning back to her. "Well I don't mind taking you home where ever that may be." he then chuckled. "I just meant it isn't a problem for me to get back home from any distance that I might have to travel to be a gentleman and see you home safely." he smiled at her and then looked around. "So which way is home?" he finished looking back at her with a smile.

Inibi shrugs. "I appreciate the offer, but home just happens to be where I decide to sleep for the night. Usually a tree" she smiles sheepishly as she looks up to see if she can find a decent one

Neely looked over at her quickly. He really didn't like the sound of that. "Are you sure? That sounds...dangerous." he shuffled then looked at her. "If you want you can come back to the apartment with me and you know...crash." he offered with a faint blush. "I'd worry about you being outside alone...at night." he glanced around showing how nervous he was but then looked back to her. "It won't be a problem though. Grandpa and Great Grandpa won't mind at all...and you'll be safe and warm." he said in a rush.
