:3 No other new Weyrs! All the canon Weyrs exist, along with Trine and Malvren.

Alright I gots questions! Like you haven't heard enough from me over the past week lol

1.) What exactly does a Wher look like? I keep having trouble picturing it. For some reason when I read Dragonsinger I always imagined them looking... well about the size of a big sow pig and maybe looking abit like those monsters in Tremors 2.... The ones that saw by heat signature.

2.) I read somewhere that Wher's can talk? Like outloud speaking like one human to another and can be understood? Or like Dragons where they speak telepathically?

3.) Kind of stupid question but, What's the Climate like in Trine? Or in the Southern Continent really? Since my character is from Bitra I want to rp the differences in weather as well as experience.

4.) I have seen a map but I'm wondering, How far is Trine away from the coast?

5.) Last question for now. Are you annoyed with me yet? wink If you are I apologize profusely!

Whers are illustrated on the front page of the Main Thread as well as the Information Guides. I highly suggest reading through the guides for general information. They're short for the most part.

2.) I read somewhere that Wher's can talk? Like outloud speaking like one human to another and can be understood? Or like Dragons where they speak telepathically?

Whers use telepathy like dragons. They cannot physically speak the same way humans can. Additionally, their intelligence is lower then a dragon's so they tend not to be as sophisticated.

3.) Kind of stupid question but, What's the Climate like in Trine? Or in the Southern Continent really? Since my character is from Bitra I want to rp the differences in weather as well as experience.

Trine is tropical for the most part. Hot, humid, wet summers and dry, still humid winters.

4.) I have seen a map but I'm wondering, How far is Trine away from the coast?

Far enough that you must either approach Trine by air or by river unless you want to spend upwards of weeks in the jungle It's very far inland.

Unsure about something? Post it here!

I do have a few questions. I have seen that you only have the character apps. but no dragon apps. and in the books the dragons could mind speak and had a personality of their own.
1. Would you be willing to have dragon apps for RPers?
2. (I have read a few of the books) and if so would you like me to help?"

In this shop, you earn your dragons through Hatchings or events. There is no way to roleplay only as a dragon, as the dragon and rider must be a pair in order for the dragon to exist. This is why there is no solo application for dragons. If you are interested in having a dragon, we would love for you to fill out a character application for a Candidate, roleplay a bit, and sign up for the next Hatching! =)

Ok then that's all I was asking.

I wish to ask; How tightly is this guild to the books?

We have a lot of major deviations from the books, both in terms of Impression and the colours we have on offer. What specific aspect were you interested in knowing about? =D

Well in the books metals are hard to come by so would it by chance be possible if a metal smith can also take on a 2nd craft?

We share that canon, metal is rare and valuable on Pern.

It is possible to cross craft but only once you become fairly advanced in your work, a few turns of journeyman under your belt at least of one craft before you began another and you'd start that from scratch as a junior apprentice. Taking more than one craft makes it very difficult to excel in either by and large.

How about an apprentice in 2 crafts within the same hold such as metal craft and stone craft? Also being a candidate? It has been done in the books but it's not very common.

I'm afraid you can only be apprentice in one craft at a time in our canon. Masters expect their students' full attention and apprentices' days are pretty well filled up with learning just one craft.

Additionally, so long as you're a candidate all craft studies are suspended. Candidates are required to dedicate themselves to learning dragon lore and to doing chores to keep the Weyr running. It's assumed that when you accept a Search that you want to Impress a dragon more than you want to continue with your craft.

Ok the I'll just have to decide between the 2 crafts then.
