When the train jerked into motion, Eleanor nearly stumbled if there hadn't been a hand rail for her to hold onto. Snorting when Russ fell onto his a**, she then went back to the others, not really wanting to talk to him at the moment. When she saw Nicole halfway through the hatch at the top, she chuckled a bit before tapping her ankle to gain her attention. "I'm sorry, but what did you say after he pulled me away? I couldn't hear you very well."

Nicole looked down to see who had tapped her ankle and saw Eleanor standing down there, looking up and smiling. "Roger that, commander! Should have mentioned that sooner." She called to the walkie talkie before glancing back at Eleanor. Nicole briefly remembered the small bit of pain on her neck after Eleanor had stumbled when pulling herself up before. It didn't bug her all that much, but a band aid and antibiotics would be a good precaution. "Would it be okay if I called you Ellie for short? Having to yell out 'Eleanor!' would be sort of a mouthful when the undead attack, no offense meant of course."

At the mentioning of the nickname, Eleanor, or Ellie as of now, smiled. "No, I like it. I've never had a nickname before. It's cute." When her eyes fell on the healing wound on her neck, she looked kind of remorse. "How does it feel? Your wound, I mean. Does it bother you?"

Reaching a hand up, Nicole touched where she'd been hurt. "It doesn't really hurt at all." She saw Ellie's expression, feeling bad the fact that she was feeling bad about it. "No worries. You must have sharp fingernails to cut me like that. But I did feel you lick it, or something..."

Ellie couldn't help but feel her eyes widen at this. "Y-you mean... You don't understand what I did?" She was about to say something else, but clamped her lips shut. 'No.' she told herself. 'It's better if she doesn't understand what I did to her if she doesn't know. I don't want to lose my first real human friend.'

Tyler radioed back. "Don't call me that." After a few more minutes, he began to throttle down, end eventually stopped the train in Augusta. There were no other trains on these tracks, as most of them were taken out of service when the Plague began to really spread, in order to prevent further propagation of the virus. "Ladies and gentlemen, please do not move about the vehicle, as we are slowing down and approaching our destination...uhhhhh, please keep all arms and legs and weapons inside the car at all times. Thank your for riding Black Tracks, have a pleasant day," Tyler joked. He made his way back to the living car, where everyone was talking. "Alright, we'll split up for our scouting parties. Two of us will go ahead to see what kind of supplies we can gather. The other three'll sanitize the area of undead. That cool? Who's going with who?"

"Well, you could have been just trying to make sure it didn't get infected..." Nicole tapped her foot on one of the ladder's rungs thoughtfully. "But, by the tone of your voice, you sound like you have a secret. Plus, you look pale. Normally, I'd say that Earth is too boring to have any mystical beings, but since there's obviously zombies outside, I'm thinking that you're not human?" She tilted her head to the side, looking at Ellie curiously. "Like I said, don't worry about it. I don't care if you're a human, a cat, or most likely vampire, with what happened. You don't have to tell me if you don't want to, but I'd love to know. As long as you're not a zombie." She smiled, then saw Tyler come into the living car. Heh heh, living car..., she thought to herself sarcastically. "I volunteer to be one person to go for supplies. Anything happens and I can't fight, I can run back here."

Ellie looked down in guilt like she was a child that stool cookies from the cookie jar. She hit it right on the nose, parse. If she found out, she was going to hate her. Or worse, kill her. But, when she said to not worry about it, her heart lifted with hope as she looked back up at her with a smile. Maybe there was still a chance to befriend the human girl. When she volunteered to head out to get supplies, she raised her hand. "I volunteer to go with Nicole. I need to get more bullets for my derringer, anyway, and I doubt that any of you have those kinds of bullets."

"Fair enough. Here, carry the other radio, incase you run into trouble. Russ, James--you're with me." Tyler said, unslinging his weapon. Before walking away, Tyler turned and asked "Why a derringer? The point is to carry something practical and easily replaceable. See this?" he said, indicating the SAW, "I can get ammunition and replacement parts for this thing anywhere there's a military base, or a zombie battlefield with dead soldiers on it. Sorry, friend, but flair and pomp can only get you killed." Tyler didn't mean to sound so harsh, but he wanted to ensure that every Living that could be saved, would be.

Ellie pulled her gun out of its holster and held it out to him. "The reason I use this is because my mother gave it to me as a means of protection. I use it to keep her memory alive. But, of course, you wouldn't understand. You didn't watch your mother fight a horde of zombies that bit her and cut her up until she bleed to death right in front of you while she gave you the only gun she had in her arsenal." The more she spoke, she harsher her words got until tears of sadness and fear were streaming down her face. But, even as she cried, her face and voice was angry. She was angry at the humans for causing this mess; World War III, the whole zombie infection, everything! It was very human that they screw the planet over with their own damn problems.

Tyler wheeled around on a dime, striding to stand inches from the girl. "How do you know what I don't understand? How do you know I didn't watch such horrible things happen? Sure, I can understand keeping the memory of your mother alive--but the best way you can do that is to survive. That derringer...it's just an object. You're mother's not in it, she's in you. Do what you want, but let me give you this." He pressed a .45 into her hand. "I'm sorry that those things happened to you, but try to understand: you're not the only one. I watched my own daughter torn to shreds...and I couldn't do a thing about it. Soldiers dragged me away from my home when the first outbreaks occured, and wouldn't let me go back for her, since she was a 'viral propagation risk.' Keep the derringer, if you want, but don't fight with it."' ((You know, I thought the guys'd be all over this RP. I mean, what guy doesn't love killing zombies? But the ladies seem to post more than anyone lol. No complaints, though. Keep it up!))

((a .45 what? Be specific. There are a bunch of .45's out there.))
Ellie looked down at the gun that she's been given, almost regretfully. Now she felt bad for bursting out without thinking about what others went through. She only thought about herself. "I... I'm sorry. I... Didn't know. Please forgive my selfishness..." Suddenly, she felt her stomach growl in hunger. She looked down at it nervously; she would have to find food fast or lose control. "But, before we leave, where's the grub? I'm starving; haven't eaten a real meal in three days."

((It's a Colt M1911A1 with chrome finish and black tactical grip. lol how's that?)) "It's here." Tyler winced as his own blade pierced the skin of his palm. He drew a small vial from his pack and let the blood run into it. He corked it and tossed it to her, smiling. "Yeah, I know what you are. I've been in this game for a good long while, miss," he said, wrapping the cut. "But a human life is a human life, altered or not. Those things," he jerked his head in the direction of the town, indicating the zombies there. "They ain't human. You, vampire or not, still have something they don't. You've got a beating heart. Sorry about what I said before. We non-zombies gotta stick together." With that, Tyler shouldered the heavy gun and wandered into the small town to clear it out so the girls could search it safely.

James was right behind Tyler when he cut his hand and gave the blood to Ellie. He was shocked at first, but shrugged it off quickly. "And here I always though that vampires were myth. I'm bringing my .50 with us, give us a good chance to take some out long before they realize we're here." Checking his Glock to make sure the clip was full and the slide wasn't sticking, he walked a bit ahead of Tyler, impatient to try and find a living person. "I'm not the best shot, but I know I can at least kill a few from about seven hundred, maybe eight hundred feet if I'm lucky."

((Lol.))
"I knew it!" Nicole exclaimed, pretty much talking to herself, when Tyler confirmed her already known suspicion. After hearing both of Ellie's and Tyler's stories of survival, she really wanted to share hers. But that would be selfish, she thought to herself. Their's were tragic, and hers was probably better off than their's. But, maybe she'd have time later. Like a campfire story. She patted Ellie's shoulder comfortingly, unsure of whether she'd let her hug her or not. "Alright, I say we find a Wal-Mart, or some superstore. We can make a list of supplies on the way." She steered away from the now uncomfortable subject to something a little cheerier, well, as much as killing zombies was cheery. "In case his blood doesn't tide you over, I can be your "walking blood-bag" if you need me to be." She smiled at that.
