Lenore just sat next to Etoile, as quiet as she seemed. Her dark aura did not flare or waver, but simply sway in thestale breeze as her candlelit horns did. the fire wavering as if it were going to be blown out, then standing still again. Etoile's lavender eyes would glance at this every now and then, but then she would look again to the ground, her eyes darkened by the shadow of her black hair. Her mind seemed stuck on nothing but her lost mate, Shui. He came around no more though... her heart sunk at the thought of him leaving her like this.
"I always seem to be the one who blends into the backdrop. t's just like the stars, the brightest gets noticed, and the smaller ones simply blend away into the dark night that is the sky..." The Ram horned Constellation's mind was running amok on herself. she truly believed that was her; another little star in the sky who meant nothing. Suddenly, Etoile's skin prickled though there was no wind. She looked across the festival square to see a Cerberus and a Deer horned Constellation speaking to a Will 'o' Wisp. For some reason or another, Etoile sensed that something did not seem right about this pair, though she met eyes with the cerberus' 6 pairs as they looked over to her. Flinch.
"Something about those... they aren't like Furleinburhst. they seem... malicious." Etoile murmured to herself quietly.

Lenore smiled kindly, seeing the distress in the other constellation. "Etoile, meaning Star-like love. Poetic, and very fitting." Lenore laughed lightly to herself, as she lifted Etoile's hand to her lips. Placing a light kiss on her knuckles as a greeting, it was her own little way of acknowledging another as friend or equal.
"No one to attend the festival with?" Lenore tilted her head to the side quizzically and the faintest smirk. "But I am sitting right here, and would not leave a friend sitting out here by herself. Would you do me a favor and attend the festival with me? I don't know anyone here, but the music and food seems wonderful." Shrugging her shoulders lightly, she looked back at the forest and then to the lights of the festival. "I spend most of my time in the forest, only socializing with the stars and those who have lost their way. I'm afraid I don't know how dance or do many things, but I'm more than willing to make a fool out of myself." The corner of Lenore's eyes crinkled slightly as her smile grew into a grin.
As Etoile's gaze drifted off to a couple others, Lenore looked over her shoulder and wondered silently to herself. She'd never seen them before, but then again, she hardly ever say anyone. Although Etoile probably hadn't meant for Lenore to hear, the constellation had excellent hearing and caught the light murmuring on her breath. "Do you think something is wrong?" Lenore got up from where they had been sitting, brushing off the back of her clothing to free it of dust and dirt. "Hmmm, would you like to go over?" Lenore felt nervous about leaving her newly found friend alone with so called 'malicious' people, but the business wasn't hers. "Or, if you'd like, I'll meet you in the festival if you have other things you want to do. Just promise me you won't leave without saying goodbye, friend?" Lenore looked hopeful and giddy as balanced on the balls of her feet. Her mood had lightened, the candles on her horns seeming to glow brighter as well, knowing the evening was long from over.

Etoile's cheeks blushened with Lenore's little kiss of her knuckles. It was so... Gentlewomanly of her. Not even her own mate did that, not that she expected him to. Her cheeks were a light lavender as she looked down. Etoile was never good at making eye contact with anyone. When she was told that she did have someone to attend the festival with; that being Lenore, the Constellation nodded. Of course! She didn't have to attend with her love, she had a new friend, why not just go along with her?
"I'd be happy to come with you, if it was alright in your favor. I wouldn't want to be a bother..." "As I always am just that... a bother." She asked, getting up. Her sheer wrap floating along her body that it was wrapped around. Etoile's eyes still followed the Cerberus and other Constellation's though. She would keep an eye on them... though the Cerberus' eyes seemed in favor of her, she could sense somthing much more to them.
Etoile shyly took Lenore's arm, as you would at a dance or ball of some sort. Etoile was nervous, as she had met many, but did not have that number to call a "friend."
"I'll come with you now. I'm sure it's nothing important to me at the moment." though as the 2 ladies began to walk more into the heart of the festival, Etoile's skin was tight and prickled.

"Bother? Just the opposite. I hate being alone." Shaking her head, she doubted the Etoile understood the truth to it. She had few friends, and hardly ever saw them again once they found their way, or had to go back to their journey and homes. "You're more than welcome to join me whenever you find yourself alone. I always enjoy company." Nodding her head at Etoile's approval, she glanced once more at the other 2 before they turned to join the festivities. It was bad to force herself into anothers business, but she was curious.
As she took Etoile's arm, she led them through the archways of flowers and lanterns that decorated overhead, with stars peaking in between. Encouraging the pale woman with a smile, she spotted booths of food with their scents wafting through the air. Just beyond them though, Spiritkind, Phyri, and more danced, twirling around in multiple colors.
"Let's dance and show them what real fun is?" Lenore winked as she tugged Etoile along. Reaching the dancers, Lenore held her hands out for the Constellations. Taking them, she led them further onto the floor as she stepped and swayed to the music. Placing one hand with the other females and her other hand reaching out for her waist, Lenore laughed gently. "If you like to stop Etoile, tell me? I lose myself in the music sometimes, so I don't realize how long I've been dancing." Lenore ducked her head with a blush, knowing how she could dance all night and never stop. It was a bad habit, and almost like day dreaming.
Seeing how nervous and shy the other constellation seemed to be, she smiled kindly and swung them into the dance, twirling around the other dancers in smooth and gliding movements, Lenore leading them out. Music seemed to move through her limbs as she made room for them into the crowd on the floor.

"Ah, I see. I'm alone for quite a portion of my time too. Though I have such a big family, it is not the same as having time with another. I'm quite sure we will see eachother more than just once. I'd hate to only have you for tonight, and then never see you again. It would hurt to have that happen..." Though Etoile was a grown woman, she still clung to others like a child. Perhaps it was growing up being ignored most of the time, her insecurities, or maybe just being alone due to the lack of her partner Shui. Either way, Etoile wasn't the stablest of minds and she did have her... moments of sudden depression and anger. What she was angry at or for, noone seemed to know. Not even the Constellation herself.
As Lenore took Etoile through the arcs and food stands, she could smell the treats. Though they smelled nice, Etoile was a finicky eater and would not always touch what seemed appealing. She was partial to only drinking milk, or having sweets. She wouldn't touch extremely greasy, oily friend things as it made her stomach churn. Then the next thing Etoile knew,her friend had whisked them onto the dance floor among the others!
"Aah! I'm not good at dancing! I don't know how to!!" She seemed to squeak in surprise as Lenore twirled her and twisted her, leading her deeper among the pad. Etoile tried to follow Lenore, but stumbled every now and then. It's not like she couldn't be graceful! Just not at dancing... but the awkward lavender girl tried her best for Lenore, since at least the Obsidian Constellation enjoyed it. Through their time of dancing, Etoile could still feel eyes on her, watching the 2 ladies dance.

It was true, that poor Etoile was still being watched, as Est couldn't take his eyes off her. Even Widdershin turned to peek over his shoulder to see what he was staring at so blatantly now. It wasn't often that Est was interested in a girl, usually they were interested in him and his brothers, and he just took advantage. It was vaguely disturbing for Widget to see the Cerberus so interested in a girl that didn't have four legs. He checked his eyes, nope. The dog didn't SEEM hungry. Besides, he knew not to eat constellations unless they were on Widget's 'hit list' of which the girl wasn't.
Sliding off of Alestro's back, he ruffled the hair of the little ghost type spiritkind, and nodded an affirmative. If Est really liked her, he should go over and meet her. She looked quite pretty with her friend on the dancefloor. With a small sigh, Widdershin gave Alestro a nudge and jerked his head towards her. The eldest dog blinked in surprise that his most trusted friend was actually supporting advice from the annoying little imp, but ah....what the heck, the girl was definitely enchanting. Something about her loneliness pulled him in and made him want to curl up around her and tear anyone who would break her heart into a million pieces. Violent? Yeah, but that was the nature of the thorned Cerberus. Just because Ro was fun loving and Ale was timid, didn't mean that the three of them combined weren't a deadly killing machine by nature. They were a force of the forest, a hunter through and through. They enjoyed the blood they'd been brought up on since they were pups, darker even than their fur, and thicker than any sweet drink the pampered Ceberuses that lived here in the village had to offer. They were rugged, they were MEANT to be.
But that didn't mean the beast didn't fall in love with a beauty sometimes. Hadn't Widdershin read them a story like that a long time ago? Back when he spoke more with them than with the trees. Getting flustered, Est nodded and Ro and Ale stood out of his way, letting him direct their body over to her until he towered above her shoulders.
Being slightly larger than your average Cerberus wasn't something to sniff at. In all actuality, a Cerberus was a large creature by nature, but Alestro was even larger. He easily stood over the poor constellation Etoile, looking down at her with a strange expression. It was a mixture of fierce concentration and flustered school-boy infactuation.
"Ah.....ah.........eh hem. Forgive me for staring madam,"

As Lenore took a side step and three steps forward, she turned in a swirl as their dresses whirled around their legs. Dipping Etoile down, the wax from the candles on her head suddenly dripped down one of the horns, threatening to splatter on the fair skin of the constellation. Catching sight of the hot wax just in time, Lenore lifted and turned Etoile just in time. "Sorry 'bout that. You should see my home. It's such a mess to clean up all the wax." Lenore said as she briefly let go to nervously place a piece of hair behind her ear, and then continued the dance with Etoile, who was quite lovely on her feet.
"How many do you have in your family?" Lenore said with a look of wonder, having none of her own. "It must have been nice having one though, and lucky too." As she saw caught sight of a sudden sadness on Etoile's expression, she smiled to herself and bumped her forehead lightly against her new friends. "Want to know the secret of how to find me?" Her eyes shined mischievously. "If you ever become lost in the forest, I'll find you. When someone travels away from the path, I almost always find them to try and lead them back. The dark light in an even darker place." A few of the bystanders threw flower petals into the air, scattering overhead and falling into the air. A few landed in the flame of Lenore's candles, instantly burning and filling the air with a floral fragrance. "Beautiful."
A small crowd had begun to gather to watch all the lovely dancers. And although the other girl tripped once or twice, Lenore caught her before she caught fall and was impressed by the natural grace she showed once they got into the dancing. "Have you danced before? You're quite good at it," she complimented her, just before someone else joined their little party.
A rather large fellow, she caught sight of him out of the corner of her eye in one of the spins. Causing Lenore to falter in her steps, she paused to allow Etoile to talk to the Cerebus. Her eyes grazed over him, judging and weighing his character as she stepped out of the way for him to speak to her dancing partner. After a brief moment of silence, she decided he didn't seem to mean any harm, but he was far from harmless. It was clear though that he was enthralled with her dancing companion. And so she gave him the benefit of letting him take Etoile's attention, stepping back from the two as the two constellations parted.

Etoile was quite flustered with all this dancing and twirling and spinning that she must have been seeing stars! Her head spun a bit with each move Lenore and her would make, but dancing with Lenore made her feel... happy. something the poor Constellation had not felt in a long while since Shui had left. To where? Etoile knew not. But her mind was busy on her friend of dark light and obsidian hue, and that was just dandy! She laughed as they spoke while they moved their feet to the beat of the music. It was the most fun Etoile probably ever had in her life!!
"I have 8 more in my family, all of different shapes, sizes, species, character. We are all different, yet, I guess that's what makes us a family. We stick together despite all our differences~" Etoile's voice chimed. She really was happy. Hearing Lenore say that she would find Etoile if she ever got lost, she smiled a little and blushed,
"Perhaps I'll get lost on purpose for you to find me, then."
Then suddenly, lavender eyes darted about. Something was moving towards them as the 2 ladies were dancing on the outter edge of the dance floor. A shadow then loomed over, and Etoile couldn't help but stop. Lenore did too, letting tiny Etoile look so suddenly as too see what it was.
"O-Oh my......" was all she could utter. Above Lenore and her, looking down, was the Cerberus. From afar, he didn't look as gigantic as he did now. She did not even know such a beast could grow to such height! Not even her family cerberus Furleinburhst was as huge! But then again, she was still a puppy. Fur had much more years on her to possibly grow as giant as this beast above them. Etoile's eyes were locked on the middle head's eyes; though they quivered, she did not run. Much as she had wanted to. Her skin stung again as if whipped by a cold wind. The Cerberus' aura was immense.
"H-Hello..." Softly, she answered. "You were the one looking at us...? It's.. alright." She swallowed a small gulp, still holding Lenore's dark hand as opposed to her light skin. "You're a very big cerberus... I did not know my little sister could possibly become this big. Ah, I'm sorry, I'm rambling... my name is Etoile, and this is my new friend, Lenore. Are you here to enjoy the festival too?"
"He's been watching us this whole time. I wonder if he has a split personality just as furleinburhst?"

Bahtier couldn't help but snicker quietly as he watched the great beast wander off to chat up the pretty constellation, haha such a pairing! Still it was interesting to see the trio interact.. "Such a sight such a sight...its cute mnn Mr. Hunter?" Bahtier said with a sly smile and a short wave to widdershin. "You enjoy your gawking eh, I think I'm going to go do some chatting of my own.." the poe nodded happily, spotting a bright red rose humunculi not far off. She actually rather reminded him of his sweet rose, maybe the opposite of her.
The creature covered in bright red roses herself, looking oddly alone and in need of company way over there. Maybe he'd offer her some treats too! After all there was no such thing as too much sugar, and the cinnamon sticks were calling his attention with they're sweet doughy smell once more. Floating off cheerily as he stopped to purchase a few more sticks. Immediately devouring the first few delicious bites before briskly moving off to appear by the females side. "Now now..whats this, someone like you all alone, cant be allowed no no no. Kaiba would call me silly for it, letting someone so cute alone..Then again he calls me worse things eh?!" giggling as he held out a treat for her, a friendly offering given with a smile "Bahtier is I, and you miss seem lonely..Certainly cant allow that"

Est was dumbstruck for a moment. Here was this beautiful creature SPEAKING to him. This dainty, frail, tiny little angel was causing the usually levelheaded and most scholarly of the three brothers to completely lose himself. Upon seeing this, Ro decided to 'help' answer her.
"Hi there! Big brother wanted to come over and say hi, I think he likes you, he usually doesn't act this way around girls, and definitely not two-leggers," he chirruped, to which Est blinked out of his stupor and nipped at the youngest brother's ear, effectively making him yelp into submission as Est gave him an annoyed growl. Crouching into a sit, he attempted to slouch to make himself seem smaller. She DID seem a bit put off about his and his brothers size.
"Eh hem....please forgive my younger brother......he forgets himself sometimes when we're not back in the forests. He has no idea how to act around a lady," the middle head apologized, lowering his head and their front paws in a sort of bow of apology. Ale rolled his eyes with a 'huff' while his brother spoke, he was really laying it on thick for this girl. But to his surprise, the girl asked an interesting question, which Est seemed eager to answer, even their tail was swaying a little.
"Ah, let me explain. We're actually quite a bit larger than the average Cerberus, and we're of the triplet variety. I've heard of some Cerberus who have a personality disorder, but at least they get the pleasure of having a body to themselves, I suppose. But mostly we're bigger because we're a bit feral. We live in the woods with a pack of wolves and our friend Widdershin, and frequently go hunting.....ah....large quarry, it's almost a necessity that we are this large, I suppose," he explained, stumbling over their usual prey. It wouldn't do good to tell the girl you were currently smitten with that you kind of hunted and frequently ate her kind. Women didn't respond well to those types of things. But while Est was hoping he was phrasing things delicately enough, Ale took the time to introduce the triplets. Bowing his head on the far left, he half-chuckled at Est's unusual lovesick behavior. The stoic brother was practically swooning while Ro was trying to snap at a poor firefly that was a bit too close to his head.
"Forgive my big brother. He's rambling a bit because he's so taken, which I must admit I give you credit for......our name, collectively, is Alestro, but since we're brothers, I'm Ale, the one so smitten with you in the middle is Est, and the idiot pup is Ro," Ale smiled, cocking his head and bending to lick their paw delicately. Est blinked, then grunted in embarassment with a nod.
"Uh....y-yes, a pleasure to meet you, Miss Etoile," Est managed, looking as sheepish and embarrassed as a Cerberus could, taking their right paw and holding her free hand up with it, pressing his nose and muzzle to it in a pseudo-kiss. It never hurt to act a gentleman during a first meeting.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Through all this, Widdershin was just watching from the sidelines with the little ghost poe until it floated off. It was a shame that Est was so nervous, and a little disturbing to be honest. Here was this huge beast that Widget had grown up with, a caustic, sarcastic son ov'a b***h with a nasty bite......totally melting over this tiny little thing. She was cute, sure, but she didn't remind the sentinel anything of the forest, so she wasn't all that appealing.
Crossing his arms and leaning up against a nearby stall, he just stared.
"Are we hunting her? I do not understand courtship.....the ladywolves back at our den are not interested in me," he wondered out loud, truly confused by the whole notion of two sentient beings courting one another. If wolves wanted eachother, they sniffed, played around, gave you signals, and the ladies led you off to a dark, secluded place where you could breed and have a chance at puppies. He didn't understand this introduction thing, and wondered when Alestro would be done with her. He was bored, and wanted something to keep his interest. Perhaps they had an archery competition somewhere? That would be fun. Something that required skill, instead of silly women.
Well well! turns out that this large beast was acting more like a puppy, if anything! Etoile was quite at a lost for words on how this huge beast could be so...gentlemanly. It was actually quite a shock to her! Etoile looked up at Ale introduced all 3 of the heads. So it was true! They were the same as Furleinburhst, what a treat! She could understand exactly where they were coming from and how they acted, then. When the giant paw of Est had taken her puny hand and "kissed" it, Etoile's cheeks flustered a dark purple, well, more like a bright lavender if anything. She glanced quickly behind her to see if Lenore was still near, then turned back to listen to Ale some more. "Oh m-my...um..." She was searching for words to say, but her head was quite blank at the moment... "Ah!" Reaching into the opening of her dress near her chest, she pulled out a thin piece of paper and opened it up, "This is a picture of my Cerberus sister, Furleinburhst. She is the same as you; a triplet variety. Fur is like Est, Lein is like Ale, and Burhst is the totla opposite of Ro. she's quite a cry baby, that head." Etoile carefully placed the picture of the other Cerberus away back into her dress. Turning back up to look at the beast before her. "Hunter's, you say? What do you and your friend hunt?" Looking afar at the Deer horned constellation, she waved slightly and smiled shyly at him, just to perhaps greet him in a small manner. She had never seen him before, or Alestro, but that was because she rarely roamed the woods. She knew how dangerous it could be. But she knew nothing of what this giant "wolf" and the Constellation did. "Your friend looks a bit bored, Est. Would you like to invite him over to chat with us? I've never seen you or him in the forest before. Oh! and, it's alright if you're 'feral.' It doesn't scare me so much..." she smiled a bit up at the 3 heads. "There are some who are much worst in personality than size, I would say~"
Hearing Etoile talk about her family made her feel warm, imagining herself with brothers and sisters. Oh, the havoc that would have followed. Listening to Etoile talk was a comforting thing, something could daydream to.
Lenore couldn't held but smirk lightly to herself as she watched the scene unfold. It wasn't meant as a gesture of superiority in any way, it was simply her appearance whenever she seemed to be thinking or without anything else to do. A natural appearance, if you will. Not intimidated by the Cerberus, and knowing how rude it was to ignore another, she acknowledged them with a respectful bow of her head. The Cerberus seemed too captivated to acknowledge anything but her beautiful companion. Bloody fights had started with less, but she wasn't so petty.
Patiently she listened to their conversation, watching the surrounding area. Being so out in the open, away from the secure forest, made her nervous and jumpy. It was hardly a feeling she could enjoy. Security and comfort beckoned her in the thick shadows and welcoming fingers of the branches, but she would rather be chained to that ground then leave Etoile alone at the festival. 'Hmm, my social skills are a little rusty. This is good for me though. It was due time I joined others of my kind anyways.', thinking to herself while shaking her unease off with a smile. She was acting silly.
Her fingers gently played along the soft skin of Etoile's as she listened to the amusing Ale, Est, and Ro. "Etoile, I think I'll go get us something to nibble on. Is there anything in particular you might want?" Giving the girls hand a comforting squeeze of reassurance, she let her fingers slip as she turned to the stands of food. "I'll be back in a bit. It won't take too long, promise. Maybe I'll win a prize for us from the games too." Lenore gave a grin and a wave as turned to walk away. The food smelled delicious, and she felt as if she were crowding the conversation a little bit. It wasn't good manners to hover over a discussion.
Wandering off towards the booths of food, Lenore strolled amongst the vendors and games that were going on, searching for something to eat. Running her fingers through her hair, Lenore tried to regain her cool confidence as she finally found a vendor that looked promising, selling frozen creams in different flavors. Strolling up to the booth, she struck a smile that she hoped would gain her a bit of a discount as she pointed out a strawberry iced cream she wanted and something for Etoile too.
