Um, sorry, just had to ..... but now we are ALL guilty of derailing this thread.
However, as gruesome as sheshe's opinions are, no matter whether she actually has those opinions or not, there is a point here:
Islam used to be discussing what Mohammad said, it used to even take the situation of the time, of the progress in other parts of the world, into accountance.
Then, The SovietUnion entered it with troops as a part of "the cold war".
USA Supported the Talibans then, as rebels against the Soviet Army.
The USA also was buying oil from Saudi-Arabia, that was ruled, and still is, by the kind of "Islamism" that say they go by the quran, and is unforgiviving against everyting else than their own interpretations.
Unless i'm mistaken, they are even unforgiving against other muslims, that don't follow "their" way.
The problem is, the Islamic countries has been under severe preassure, so too many have not been able to discuss, and instead succumbed to the "Hard Way".
This is my analysis, if i am incorrect about something, then pleae do correct me.
(I'm quite certain sheshe will try to correct me, but not in the way that is valid for this analysis ... well i might be wrong ... )
