Crescendo felt his face grow hot. His wings buzzed heavily in embarrassment as he looked at Melody. "Er...y-yeah. I'm Crescendo." Did he really just Rondel right a moment ago? He smiled again and quickly nuzzled her back.
"And I love her too." He said, looking quickly back at Melody. "I hope that's okay?! If you don't approve of me, I mean I go, find my way home. It's okay. I won't be hurt if you don't approve--" He started his usual babbling.

Love? Her daughter was in love? At first, all Melody could do was stare at Crescendo, probably to the point where he was becoming paranoid or something. She'd been in love once, and look at where she'd gotten with it. Mecho had loved her back as well, just like the green stallion was saying he loved Rondel as well. She knew how this could turn out, and yet, she believed that somehow Rondel would learn from her mistake. Certainly Rondel could handle what she couldn't.
"I...I approve." She said, letting a small smile cross her face. How could she not approve? "But, it's really up to Mecho, you know...it's about time you go back to him Rondel..." She glanced at her daughter, and knew that she's follow her back to Mecho. She had a few things she needed to fix now....

Rondel nearly jumped out of her skin with Melody's approval. She pranced a bit her bells chiming out happily. "Oh, thank you, Momma!" she gasped before looking up at Crescendo and nuzzling him happily.
She then sobered and nodded slowly. "Ah...Yes, Momma." she said ducking her head. "We'll...we'll do that." she said even though what she really wanted to do was run off with Crescendo now to the place she had in mind. She sighed a bit and looked back at the green stallion. "You..don't mind do you?" she asked.

Crescendo frowned a bit as he watched the two of them, Melody especially. He just felt like she didn't want to lose her daughter again, even if she said she approved of him being around. He was just becoming even more uncomfortable in the current situation.
At the mention of Mecho, he went stiff. Her father? He was going to be put up for questioning and approval against her father?

Melody smiled, "It won't be that bad...I'm not making you go alone. And I'll stick up for you!" She glanced around at them, feeling the tension she'd created. She wasn't making them go back to Mecho, just because she wanted him to approve of Crescendo, Rondel had run off on Mecho too, and it was time she explain herself. She didn't want to cause him too much more trouble.

Rondel pranced her bells chiming nervously. She'd known Crescendo long enough to know when he was ready to bolt. She moved as close to him as possible and nuzzled him. "Cres...Its okay. It'll be fine...I promise." she smiled up at him worry in her eyes though. "We'll find Papa and everything will be fine." she nuzzled him again then whispered into his ear. "And as if I'd ever leave you, Cres. I don't care if we do have to runaway together, I love you."
She smiled at him with more confidence this time, before looking at Melody. "So where is Papa?"

Mecho had been traveling for ages, restless and heartbroken. At first he had kept the pace at a slow pace for his children, but they grew, and as they grew the pace had quickened. However, one night Rondel simply.. Vanished.
They had been close to Cuauhcoatl's territory, and so, after searching the area for hours, he knew he had to get the others to safety before he could truly find Rondel. He didn't want to risk losing all of them.
He had, after all, already started to think he had lost their mother.
He hadn't slept for more then two hours a night sometimes, worried. Oh so worried that he had lost one of his children. His visions danced with Skinwalkers and Crazed, full blooded Kalona, and it kept him moving onwards.
However, as he heard the chiming of bells, he pressed himself further, half starved and delusional, twigs sticking from his now unkempt hair, dried mud caked to his body with scratches in the dark patches showing swatches of his sky blue, "Roundel...?"
Bursting through the bushes, he froze, seeing a mother he had expected to never see again standing before him with the daughter that had run away, his vision blurry from lack of sleep as the light gave them a near ghostly appearance.
Mecho wobbled slightly before collapsing sideways against a tree, and started to sob uncontrollably, his half conscious mind jumping to the conclusion that they were dead-- and these were their ghosts.
.... Not his finest moment, nor the best first impression for the mate-to-be of his daughter.

The question was barely out of Rondel's mouth when she heard the chiming of bells, not from herself or Melody but from somewhere else. Rondel looked around her mother spotting the blue stallion she hadn't seen since she was young. "Papa?" she gasped stepping away from Crescendo and hurrying over. "Papa is it really you?" she said moving over to him and nuzzling him gently. "Oh, Papa...I...I..." she shook her head, "It seems so meaningless to say I'm sorry, but...I am." she whispered feeling like a foal again. "But you see, I just had to go find Momma, and then I got lost again, and then I met Crescendo, and I love him, and uh..." she stopped once she realized she was rambling. "Sorry..." she muttered again stepping back to stare at her hooves.

Crescendo looked up at the blue stallion as he came into view. This was Rondel's father? He figured it all made sense...with the bells and all, but she still looked so much like Melody. He offered a slight smile, unsure of whether or not to step forward to him.
"I...I'm Crescendo. The one...that..I love Rondel! Please! Don't keep her from me!" He blurted out, quickly silencing himself and buzzing his wings in embarrassment upon realizing what he had said.

Melody was shocked silent to see Mecho, she couldn't believe everything that was going on today. It was like her whole past was coming to haunt her, she couldn't take her eyes off Mecho as he sobbed. What was he so sad about? Before she could take action, Rondel was at her father's side. She didn't even know what to do, so she hung back with Crescendo, and simply, stared.

Mecho Wobbled slightly, peering blearily at Cresendo. It was obvious to see he had not been resting well, nor eating right since Rondel last saw her father, "... Who... Are you.. A ghost as well?"
He blinked around the group, realizing that Rondel had nuzzled him, "... No.. No you're alive.." He smiled slightly, laughing softly and swaying his head back, low to the ground as he did so, "God I thought you were all dead.... But you're Alive... I've never.. Never been so relieved.."

Rondel watched her father with wide eyes. She hadn't seen him in so long and she'd never would have really thought of him being so beat down. "No, that's not a ghost, Papa. That's Cres, and Momma is here too." she said. "I went to go find her. I thought someone had too...and I just felt so confined and..." she sighed. "I don't know what to say." she flicked her ears back and dropped her head to the level of her fathers. "I meant to come back so much sooner, but things...just happened." she said, before going back over to Cres and nuzzling him lovingly. "I met Cres...and well..." she trailed off.

Crescendo shook his head as he watched Mecho closely. "No. I'm not a ghost..." he mumbled, moving slightly closer to be by Rondel. She needed just as much comfort as the rest of the family seemed to need at the moment.
He smiled a bit and nuzzled her back before looking back up at Mecho. "Like I said, and she told you, we love each other...I know you've been away from her for so long but..." Crescendo sighed and trailed off for a moment, gazing down at the ground. "But...oh please don't keep us apart! We've spent so much time together and I helped her return home to find her mother! And now...you!" He blurted out, looking wide-eyed back at the blue stallion before him.

Melody watched silently, she wasn't exactly what to do or say just yet. It took a while for Mecho to realize they weren't ghosts, and the fact he actually thought they might have been dead, broke something inside her. She didn't know what she was going to do right now, but one day she hoped to make for everything she put him through.
"I wanted to take her back to you sooner but...she kinda ran off on me too. But for a good reason...she fell in love Mecho...." She tried to smile, but it was obvious she was still sad.

Laughing weakly, Mecho smiled, "Thats.. Good.. Hopefully you two aren't rushing." The soquili sighed, looking exausted, "... I'm sorry.. To all of you.. I didn't.... I'm not really in the best condition to continue this conversation."
He yawned, sighing softly, "Rondel.. You are free to go as you wish.. Though if you wish to come with me, I'm sure Cuauhcoatl wouldn't mind your... Boyfriend coming along. And I do hope you come so your siblings can meet you -- Cabriole tried to come with me to make sure you were ok.."
