Assignment 2.1
~Step by step, what did you do? --The night before going to work, I visualized myself having a great day at work. I work with kids, so I saw the kids behaving wonderfully and their parents cooperating. ~Was it a success? --HELL no! ~Do you feel you need more practice to get good at it? --No it was just a horrible day...they happen every once in a while. ~Do you think you are ready for more complicated tasks? --Maybe different tasks...not really "more complicated." ~Do you feel you need more information or clarity before you can successfully use the Law of Attraction? --I think positive thinking can only get one so far. Mundane actions, along with positive thinking, must be put into action, as well.
Ugh. Horrible day at work! sad

I am sorry to hear that you had such a terrible day, but you have improved so much as a student because of it. You are beyond your current assignment, and starting to understand "Action" already. Keep up with your class work and you can hopefully get past the bad days.
I too have bad days. I have been using the law of attraction to help get me a job. It has been unsuccessful for quite a while. I have to say that I believe that part of the problem is not the positivity, but deep down, I don't want a job. I am not ready for the challenge, and I want to enjoy my last summer before college.
~EDIT~
To add, it would be rather ambitious and impractical to think that a small wish would be capable of preventing hell on Earth. I am proud to see that you understand that bad days happen. Maybe you should try the assignment again, but with something simpler, not necessarily a great day at work (since that seems like a bad spot). Try something smaller. Maybe starting with finding the perfect apple at the marketplace, or getting a great deal on some amazing Gaia items in the Markeplace. Maybe even meet a kind stranger. Something simple, and easy, but enough to prove to you that it can work.

Lesson 5 - Mood Modify
My mom was talking to me the other day about my little brother. He has a bipolar disorder, and acts out in fits of rage for no apparent reason. The funny thing is, when he knows that he is going to get into serious trouble when he acts out, such as a threat of calling the police, he is capable of pulling himself together despite the condition. My mom was telling me how he is capable of mood modifying. He can change his mood based on the situation in order to get what he wants. This got me to thinking about the whole Mood Modifying concept. I came to the conclusion that it works for everyone, not only my mental little brother. We all have the ability to change our mood, which in turns changes our day, our lives. Let me explain.
Acting 101 We are going to start with a little acting lesson. When you are preparing for the stage you'll need to know how to portray emotions to your audience that you might not be experiencing in real life. You might have to play the role of a murder, and you need to express joy out of slaughtering your next victim. You might be playing the a horny man, and must appear as if you are interested in making out with a woman. Possibly you are even playing the role of an elderly woman and you need to show the pain of standing up with your old bones cracking and adjusting. What ever the situation is, you need to show emotions that "you" are not feeling. However, the only way to make the emotions look real is to make the emotions feel real. To do this you must first break down the emotion into simpler components. When you feel an emotion, think about what you body does. When you feel happy your body smiles ear to ear, your body seems to be filled with a lightness and a release of endorphins can be felt. You begin to think happy. Now, after you take apart an emotion that you actually feel, you are able to reconstruct it in any situation. Just repeat the feelings and actions that the emotion caused, and the emotion will come back.
Living It Once you are able to re-act emotions you are ready to apply this to your everyday life. It can bring up a bad day, allow you to get a sale when a costumer is peeved at you, it can even convince yourself that you can do things only possible in your imagination. Lets say that you wake up on the wrong side of the bed. You might feel lousy, like you are run down and defeated before the day has even begun. You have the power to change your mood. Act out your feeling of happy. Smile ear to ear, feel the warmth of joy filling you up, even say to yourself that you are happy. In a matter of minutes you will literally turn that frown upside down and be feeling much better.

Assignment 5:1 - Deconstructing Emotions In the lesson I kind of briefly explained the beginning steps in Mood Modifying. You first need to experience an emotion. This can be at anytime, anywhere, even in a dream. Let life itself be your teacher. Now I want you to examine that emotion. Break it down into its simpler components. What does your body do, feel, think when you are experiencing this emotion. How can this emotion help you later in life? Mentally collect all of this information because it will be very helpful later when you try and recreate the emotion. AssignmentNow I want you to do just that. Find emotions in your life that you feel and fill out the paper code accordingly. These emotions can either be felt today or years into the past, I just want it to be real. I am looking for about five different emotions, more or less is fine...at least three. PaperEmotion: External Actions: Internal Actions Other Feelings: How it is Helpful:

Name: Silver Shadow
1. Why do you want to join?
After reading over the introductory things, I feel that this class might really help me.
2. What are the "Problem Areas" of your life?
Problem areas? Well... Where to start. I have a terrible temper and a bad attitude. I try very hard to control it, but sometimes it flairs and I just go off. Not to mention that I suffer from terrible depression and when I'm going through a fit of it, I don't feel like doing anything at all. Not only that, but I feel and am chubby. I can't get comfortable with my body but I also can't find the motivation to lose the weight. Nor can I find something to help me from binge eating when I'm depressed. I know I have these problems, but I don't know what to do about them. So I get frustrated and then more depressed then I was before. I also have a hard time finishing what I started. I'm not sure if this is what I was supposed to explain, so I just kind of winged it. It's funny in a pathetic way, but while writing this I felt like crying. XP
3. Which aspect of self do you feel you lack most? Why? (Body/Mind/Spirit) I… I’m really not sure. I spend time in a place where I feel like I’m being broken mentally and spiritually because I live with my parents and nothing seems to be the right decision. But it might just be a little bit here and there of all three. I just don’t know.
4. What do you hope to get out of this class? Well, I was really hoping that this class could teach me something that would help take control of my own life and maybe help me face all these problems I see in myself.
5. Any concerns/questions you have for me? No. Not as of right now. But if there’s anything in the future, I’m sure you’ll be the second to hear about it. (My boyfriend is normally sitting next to me and I have a tendency to talk out loud to myself, so he knows everything I know when I know it.)

Thank you for this opportunity. I was eager, so I started last night after I posted my request. Assignment 1 - Goal List
1. I want to take better control of my temper and bad attitude so that I don’t hurt the people I love with my words and actions.
2. I really want to find a way to manage these feelings of depression and hopelessness that I feel. I would also like to cease binge eating whenever I get depressed.
3. I want to lose weight so that I weigh anywhere from 130 pounds to 155 pounds. Those are the weights that I had through my high school career.
4. I want to be more secure in my self esteem.
5. I want to finish a project that I started. Such as my dread falls that I’ve had sitting on a chair for over a month now. Or my light baby blue yarn falls.
6. I want a job so that I can have gas money to get to college with.
7. I want to set myself apart from the other people who will be going to school for myself. So I want to join a club that can give me the experiences that my fellow classmates will miss out of if they’re not in the same club.
8. I want to graduate from college in the winter of 2013 with my degree in Fashion Design
9. I want run a business dedicated to Alternative Fashion, makeup and hair. (All environmentally safe of course).
10. I want to take a belly dancing class.
11. I want to take a ballet class.
12. I want to read more books like I used to when I was younger.I have hit a bit of a snag though. I'm looking at the next assignment and how specific my goal seem to be for the first assignment and wondering just what it is that I should change for some of them. I'm going to work on the ones that I can, but I'm not sure that I can fix some of them to be more specific. Or rather they're too specific already and I'm not sure how I could get any more specific with them without writing out a paragraph sized thing for you to read. ~Chuckles~

Beautiful things happening here, but don't think that there is no room for improvement, there is always room to push the envelope. I think that many of them can become more time specific, if you need some guidance. Do the next lesson, and I think you will get something out of it. No worries.

Assignment 5:2 - Reconstructing Emotions
We now know how to take apart an emotion. You can turn it into all of its tiny components. Now we are going to work on putting them back together. Now I know this may sound complicated and confusing, but bear with me. You first must master the previous assignment. Reconstruction is founded upon good deconstruction. Look at all of your notes on the deconstructed emotion that you are trying to recreate. Take the sensations, the expressions, the body language, the feelings, the tone of voice, and everything else and make it real for yourself. Make yourself live the emotion. Even speak aloud that you are feeling the emotion, "I am happy." In just a short while you will really be feeling the emotion and feel however you wished to feel.
Lets have a run down...
1. Recall the notes you took about the emotion you want to feel based on Emotional Deconstruction.
2. Feel those pieces again. Act them out, live them, believe them.
3. Then you should have been able to recreate the emotion.
How did it work?
Tell us how it worked for you. Did it work or not? Why do you think it didn't work? What part helped you the most? What part seemed the least helpful to you? How would you go about Reconstructing Emotions in the future? Do you have any suggestions for future students attempting this assignment? Any other comments are welcomed.

~What I thoughT about the Vision Board. It was fun to do. My vision board is a collection of a lot of things I like--eyes, girls, boys, great scenery, animals, and pets...and lots and lots of sex. And sexy phrases. razz ~What my symbols are, and what they represent. (as many as you feel comfortable with) Sex is good. Sex is natural and I like sex (basically). The board, when I look at it, gives me a feeling of "me" ~My Vision Board located ... Right now it's rolled up and waiting for me to move back to college. But when I get there it's going to be put somewhere on the outside of my door for my whole house to see. biggrin ~I (will/will not) continue to use my Vision Board in the future, and this is why... I'll use it and like it smile I think it will help keep me sane when school comes around again.

Assignment 2 - Goal Seeking Questions
1. I want to take better control of my temper and bad attitude so that I don’t hurt the people I love with my words and actions. I’m going to accomplish this by recognizing when I’m starting to get frustrated, taking a deep breath and taking a second to step back from the situation before I engage once again.
2. I really want to find a way to manage these feelings of depression and hopelessness that I feel. I would also like to cease binge eating whenever I get depressed. Every time that I get these feelings I’m going to reach for my journal and a piece of gum. Writing down and working through my feelings should help manage them and chewing gum should curb my appetite until my next meal, so I don’t binge eat.
3. I want to lose weight so that I weigh anywhere from 130 pounds to 155 pounds and I’m going to cut sweets out of my diet for the most part. One day out of the week, Saturday, I will allow myself to have one sweet so that I don’t cave and over do it. But I will cut soda from my diet completely and instead drink more water and juice. Along with this I will exercise for 30 minutes a day at least.
4. I want to be more secure in my self esteem. I’m going to accomplish this goal by writing down one thing a week that I like about myself and that others say they like about me too.
5. I want to finish my baby blue yarn falls. I’m going to take one day out of my week to work on them for at least an hour. Or two rows of unraveling. Whichever comes first.
6. I’m going to put in applications and my resume anywhere that I can until I have a job.
7. I want to set myself apart from the other people who will be going to school for myself. So I want to join a club that can give me the experiences that my fellow classmates will miss out of if they’re not in the same club. I’m going to have to look for a club that has to do with my major that meets Mondays, Wednesdays or Fridays.
8. I want to graduate from college in the winter of 2013 with my degree in Fashion Design. I’m going to get there by doing all my assignments and turning them in on time. That way I’ll be sure to pass all my classes and keep climbing up that ladder to becoming a Fashion Designer.
9. I want run a business dedicated to Alternative Fashion, makeup and hair. (All environmentally safe of course). Once I’m out of school I’ll probably end up working for a company until I can start my own, but I would like to take the knowledge of the workings of a company away and apply that to my own.
10. I want to learn to belly dancing. So on my days off of school I’m going to follow along with an instructional video that has been sitting in my room for at least 30 minutes a day. That will also tie into my third goal to exercise more.
11. I want to read or reread a book to completion. Every day I’ll find time to read for thirty minutes before I go to bed, either to myself or out loud to my boyfriend.
Additional Questions
1. Do you feel that these questions helped you with your Goals? How? A little. I’ve never been really good at setting my own goals in life. It’s probably because I’m so terribly wishy washy and I can’t phrase things as well as I would like all the time.
2. Will you use these questions for future Goals? Why? Probably, because they helped me think about what is valid and what is not valid to me. Not to mention that they also helped me decide if I could do things in a certain amount of time. Or not.
3. Do you feel comfortable setting Goals? I feel plenty comfortable setting goals, but not so comfortable with actually keeping up with them. It’s probably part of my lack of motivation/can’t finish what I started problem.

Assignment 2:1 - Small Wish
~Step by step, what did you do? Last night I read the lesson and assignment. I thought that I would try something little like having a good day tomorrow. So I looked at my boyfriend and he said to me "You're going to have a good day tomorrow." And I agreed by repeating what he said. "I'm going to have a good day tomorrow." As I was getting ready for bed, I kept imagining that good day that I was going to have. It was going to be a day where I didn't feel gloomy or miserable. I would be happy and the day would go well. Once I crawled into bed and was getting comfortable for sleep though, I had a little bit of a hard time getting to sleep because I was excited for tomorrow to come around. I thought it was funny though and finally I got to sleep. I woke up that morning in a little bit of a rush, but I kept reassuring myself that it was going to be a good day. Granted when I was heading out the door my mother's van was parked behind my car and it was raining. That didn't put a damper on my day at all. My father moved my car and I was on my way. Over and over I kept thinking about having a good day.
~Was it a success? There were some minor set backs, like the car behind my car and the rain, the fact that traffic was so bad that I could have been late, that financial aid for my school has been jerking me around and that I could have blown a tire while driving home. But for the most part, even with these little hiccups, today has been very good. Inside I've felt very warm and happy and I've had a good time in my classes and with my boyfriend. It was just a good day despite the problems, big or small.
~Do you feel you need more practice to get good at it? Probably to help me with the "bigger" things. But I think that I'm good enough to land a good day at school, a good time with friends or a nice parking spot.
~Do you think you are ready for more complicated tasks? Mm... Maybe with a little bit more focus.
~Do you feel you need more information or clarity before you can successfully use the Law of Attraction? Nope. It made sense to me. Clicked and I felt that I was able to use it successfully today.
~If you want more information, can you tell me what is confusing you? N/A

Sam: I am glad that the vision board was such a success for you. It tends to be. You sound like you did a great job, but I have to ask...Why all of the sex?
Silver Haruta: I have to say I love your goal number 4. However, your follow up questions worried me. You, like many of the students, did not get a whole lot out of this assignment, which is expected. It was meant to help, not be a huge eye opener. Your last answer worried me the most. You do not feel that you can keep up with these goals? Well if that is your attitude you will not keep up with them, I can promise you that, and you might be overwhelmed. Ten is a lot of goals to be serious about. Many of my students leave a few behind before they really pursue the list. I want you to pick the top three goals, or the top five, that you feel you can accomplish and want to start working on diligently. The others you can slowly work on, just touch on here or there, but those goals you've selected I want to be your main priority. It may help you feel less overburdened.
Your Small Wish sounds like it went very well. There are always little hiccups in ones life, but being able to get past them and have a good day despite is a great skill. Bravo!
