A young couple walked along the street, the boy telling a tale.. the girl laughing as she hugged his arm.. " Desgusting, are they not?" Hawk's gaze narrowed at the question as he studied the creatures, black wings folding against his bare back. It was cold, perhaps.. the couple below were bundled for winter.. but to him it held no bite. He had fed very well this night. " They are human." He answered, knowing that to those like him.. the word 'human' explained everything.

A wicked chuckle gave D's agreement, the elder Crusnik leaning against a generator as the pair looked at the street below.. watching the humans as all their kind was cursed to do. " Indeed that says it all.. they are human." Smiling he tugged the bill of his ball cap lower, fangs pricking his lower lip as he added quietly.. whispers of devious laughter teasing his voice. " What are they, these annoying creatures..."

Tensing Hawk stood, wings flicking with temper as he turned his head slowly.. one sharp eye studying D over his shoulder. " They are Alive."

" For now.. Be a good dog and watch the sheep." It was said on a laugh, his form gone before Hawk could argue.. He had other things that needed done, and Hawk.. though the male shared his view of humans, he was far too loyal to the woman Banshi to ever turn on them.
