After taking the traitor to the dungeon, Shin went home. He spent the whole week with his family, something he hadn't done in over a year. After that week Shin went off for the castle to find Tamuril. He asked a few grauds and they told him they might have seen him near the garden. Shin thanked them and headed off on his way.
He did find Tamuril in the garden, but before he could walk up to him he was tackled by a black cat. The cat's name was Kirra. It had been a long time ago that Shin had taken care of her. He had gave her to a sick little girl who needed a friend. Kirra must of left her and went to find him. Shin frowned at that, but seening his old friend again he let her jump on his shoulder. He petted her as he walked up the Tamuril. "Hey Tamuril." Shin waved a little. Shin knew he was being a bit rude, but he hated being formal. Only in the queen's pressence did he be formal because she was the queen and desearved respect.

Walking back to get a message, Airsai finally got the chance he needed. He silently thanked the gods for this, since this was a message from the front. It was sealed, but it looked like whoever sent it was important, considering the messenger that just arrived had two worn out looking guards, and the messenger was about to pass out himself. Airsai assured the man he would take the message to the queen for him, since the man was exausted. He had to supress the grin of triumph that kept wanting to appear on his face.
After getting checked, and checked again by the guards, Airsai was finally allowed into the final hallway. In front of him, was the queens chambers along with two guards. He sighes mentally and walks up to them, ready to be checked, counter checked, and then checked some more. Nothing happened as he walked closer. " Excuse me. I have message for queen." He says to the guards.

The week had past. It was now time for the performance exam to begin for the students. If they passed this test, they would become members of the Wind Magic Division. Matt stood out in front of his 300 students. "Okay everyone, the Performance Exams will be tough, rigorous, and must be endured!" He shouted as he paced side to side. "I have faith in all of you! All of you WILL pass this test and become the newest Magic Division for our army! I'll see to it, that YOU are the best! You will not be defeated by others! You hear me?!?"
"Yes Sir!" All the students shouted as they saluted him. They had been dressed in their exam outfits. They wore white shirts with green lines running up and down the sides. They would recieve their mage robes when they pass the exam.
The exam consisted of three tests. Magic Power, Magic Accuracy, and Magic Speed. They had to pass two of the three tests in order to pass the exam. The exam was in the forest, the 300 students were split into groups of ten. Each group had a High Class Wind Mage to watch over them. Matt had his own group.
"Thomas! You are first," he shouted as he found Thomas' name on the list. "I will pull a large piece of earth from the ground using wind magic, you must make a charged air blast to destroy it. Matt focused his energy into the ground. There is very litte air in the ground, so this is very difficult for him, but Matt managed to pull a huge piece of earth out of the ground and make it float in the air.
Thomas started to charge a wind blast with a green light. He shot the bolt directly at the clod exploding it into several pieces. Dirt came from the sky and fell on the students and Matt. Thomas was pleased with himself.
Matt wiped the dirt off of his glasses and dusted him self off and checked Magic Power off for Thomas. "Very good Thomas. Now for magic accuracy. I have behind me ten disks, shoot down seven or more of the disks, using only twenty shots to pass this part of the exam." Using his magic of air control again, Matt lifted ten disks out of the box behind him and flung them into the air and made various patterns in the air.
Thomas smirked and tossed seven bolts out, each time he aimed carefully and shot down a disk. Seeing that there were only three left, she shot thirteen random shots just to have fun. He hit only one of the remaining three disks.
Matt sighed and marked him off as a passing grade for that part of the exam. But he made a small note on the side and it read, "Failure to control flaunts." That would take some points off of Thomas' ranking when he passes the test. The Magic Division did not need flaunters to ruin their army. They wanted people who could be efficient and dextrous to lead their army. Not a powerful flaunt.
"Now, you have already passed the exam, but you still need to finish the last test. Magic Speed. In this portion of the exam, I will hurl foam blocks at you at high speeds. You must shoot them down or else they will hit you. If you get hit once, you will fail this portion of the exam." He said as he made several foam blocks float.
Thomas was nervous about this part of the exam. The other tests couldn't hurt him, but these foam blocks could. He feared being injured, and that takes a lot of spirit away from a soldier. He stood in a ready position and awaited for the blocks to start flying.
Matt flung several blocks at him at a time, in the begining Thomas managed to avoid some of the ones he missed and shot down the rest, but Matt kept the blocks coming in at a stable speed, Thomas couldn't keep up, a block struck him in the stomach and as soon as it made impact, Matt stopped flinging the blocks at him. When he had stopped flinging the blocks, Matt put a X in the part for Magic Speed. Thomas failed that portion of the exam, but still passed.
Thomas we recovering from the attack on his stomach. He sat up and looked at his classmates. They clapped and cheered for him because he passed the test. They all ran up to him and patted or hugged him.
Matt smiled. "Congratulations Thomas, you are now officially a Wind Mage." He pulled out Thomas' sheet from his book. "Take this to the office and they will give you your new robes."

The gaurds at the queen's door nodded, stepping back and opening the door to let the messanger inside. Takara herself was no longer at the balcony and was sitting down on a chair writing something. She looked up when she heard the door open, picking up the open fan that was laying out beside the paper. This fan matched her dark violet dress, both items having the images of sakura flowers on them. An eastern flower from a tree. Around her neck hung the same clear diamond as before, and she wore other items of jewelery.
"A message?" Takara asked as she stared at him with her eyes, holding her fan carefully with her long delicate fingers.

Airsai moves closer, but still at a respectful distance. He was holding the message in his hand. "Yes, from army. Your Highness" He was too well trained to wince, but his accent stepped in right at that moment. He hated that stupid accent, but it was part of him right now. He only had four of his daggers on him right now, his fighting daggers and two throwing daggers, but he wished for all six. The queen had personally delt with a trator, that he knew.

Tamuril glanced over at Shin for a couple seconds before he lunged at him, holdin the blade of his longsword a couple inches from Shin's neck. He lightly grinned, standing up, sheathing his sword. "Yes, how may I be of assisstance?"

"I've never heard of a messanger with a western accent." Takara stated as she gently waved her fan to cool herself. "Perhaps you're just new, considering that I have not seen you before. There are hundreds of messangers." She held her free hand out to accept the message, her other hand busy holding the fan. Her voice remained in monotone, just as it always had before. Her piercing eyes stared up into his own, waiting for him to hand her the message.

"Yes." He says nodding. He steps forward to hand her the message, then realized his mistake. "On pastor eir."((Oh damnit all)). He tenses and prepares for whatever move Takara would make. He was certain she would lash out at him, making the judgement that he was an assassin based on that mistake. "Your Highness." He says, with a tad bit of difficulty.

Shin coughed a little as Kirra jumps back on his shoulder. "Carefull next. You almost hit Kirra." Shin said petting her. "Anyways, you know that I'm a spy for the kingdom, but since they found out who I am..." Shin stopped and toke a deep breath. "I don't believe I'll be able to be a spy any more. I wanted to know if I could help you in some way..." Shin scratched the back of his head in an embarassed sort of way.

Tamuril shut his eyes, than turned his back to Shin. He was walking towards the entrance of the castle. He was thinking of what he could be helped with, and nothing came to mind. "I need not your help, Shin, I thank you for asking. I must now get back to guarding her majesty, so if you don't mind." He walked into the castle, slowly wlaking at first than picking up his pace. In no time he was outside of her door.
Tamuril walked up to the guards who were guarding it, and they immediately saluted him and told him there was a messenger inside. "A messenger? You should have made him give you the package, this could be an assassination attempt!" The guards eyes widened, as shock consumed them. Tamuril walked past them, opening the door. Airsai was standing in front of him, talking to Takara. "I hope I'm not intruding on anything...important."

The following students of Matt's group had all passed their exams. He was very pleased with fruits of his teachings. He could remember when they could barely move the air, and now they were ready for battle. All of his students had passed their tests to become wind mages. His class became the 45th Wind Mage Division. The afternoon began to set upon them, and all of his students were now dressed in the standard mage uniform.
The ceremony for their official graduation was to be held tomorrow evening. There was to be a magnificent party to celebrate the new division of mages. Matt, tired from his work that day, retreated to his room. Before he walked up the palace staircase to his room, he stopped a servant that had been walking by. "Excuse me, but could you bring a canister of water to my room along with a good book? I would very much appreciate it."
The servant said, "Right away sir," and hurried off to retrieve the requested items. The items were delivered to his room before he even arrived. Fast service he thought to himself as he opened the canister of water. The air around the water started to shift as Matt focused his energy around it. The water flowed into the air and began to drizzle softly into the flower vase that had been sitting in Matt's window. The lovely green flowers glistened as the afternoon sun shined on them.
Next he layed down in his bed and opened the book entitled, Light and Darkness by an unknown author. I've read this book a dozen times... but each time... the story seems different to me...

Shin stared after him even when he was gone from view. He shock his head and shrug. He decided to go see his old wind teacher. When he started to walk away Kirra jumped up onto the balcony above in one big leap. 'How on Earth was she able to do that?' Shin thought gaping up at her, 'Oh well. She is a strange cat.'
After quit a few failing atempts to get her to jump down, he sighed and started to look for a way up. Well, he could control the air somewhat. It wasn't that far up and he wasn't that heavy. Might as well.
Shin focused his energy and mind to the air around him. He started to move it so that it would bring him up to get Kirra. In his triumph Kirra moved into the open doors on the balcony. He looked into find the queen, Tamuril, and what looked like a messenger. Shin bluched from walking, well flying really, in on it. He tried taunting Kirra out of the room, too unwilling to walk in.

"Nothing important." Takara told Tamuril as she took the note out of the messanger's hand. She'd heard him yell out from behind the door, though nothing showed that she had. Takara opened the letter and read it, then tossed it up into the air and set it on fire. It was turned into ash before it even landed on the ground, the ash suddenly drifting out of the room. Takara watched the ashes, then turned her attention to the two men. She shut her fan, her frozen eyes locking with Airsai. "You're excused." Takara stated before she slowly turned around, her fingers trailing over the frame of the fan. Her heels tapped on the floor as she went out to the balcony, her eyes lowering.
'Truly interesting.' The queen thought to herself as she stepped out into the open, leaving the other two alone. She caught sight of Shin but stayed silent, merely stopping where she was and watching him.

Kirra walked in farther into the room and fliped her butt to him. Shin nearly growled at that, but he sudden felt a pressence near him. He looked up to find the queen gone from the room and froze. He slowly turned his head to face who he a stablished to be the queen. Shin saw her standing there jsut watching him. He stood up imediatly and bowed. He stood up straight and scratched the back of his head. "I'm...I'm sorry if I disturbed anything. Kirra just got up-up here and I....I...She's right there..." Shin pointed Kirra out and bowd his head. Shin shufuled his feet a little.
