"Kid..... we don't have time for this. You know they are only doing this to distract us right?" Liz complained to him as she ignored Lerena. She had enough to deal with with Kid's OCD.

As Lerena and Renoko distracted Kid Marik walked next to Malik. The two of them were out of site from the three, they could easily escape if they wanted to. However, Marik did not want to do such a cowardis thing. He whispered to Malik, "If we attack him now, we can avoid being caught. Just one slice, that's all it would take." He looked over at him from the corners of his eyes, "Once they have us, they'll never let us out again. Take my hand and we'll survive this." Marik was obviously good at manipulating Malik's mind. However, in an instance it could be true. They didn't know what would happen to them, obviously something bad. He couldn't risk it..... for himself. But he couldn't do it alone. He needed Malik's help.

Malik was still horribly paranoid from what Marik said to him before. But now that he wasn't being such an a*****e, Malik believed him more. If they didn't get out now, they would lock them up.... wouldn't they? Malik took Marik's hand, Marik changed into his weapon form. Just as Kid finished actually making a symmetrical K, Malik rushed out from where they were and jumped up into the air. One slice, that's all it would take. He aimed for Kid as he let out a battle yell.

Startled from Malik's sudden attack, Liz screamed. "Patty!!!" she screamed for her sister. Patty changed into her weapon form as Liz took a hold of her and shot at Malik. She did this purely out of a reaction from fear.

The shot hit, but not at Malik, it hit Marik in his weapon form. He flew out of Malik's hand and landed far behind him in his human form- face down on the floor. He didn't move for a while.

Malik landed short after Marik was shot out of his hands. He stood up straight and looked behind him at Marik. He waited for him to get back up, which was taking a while.

Patty changed back into her human form and said, "Nice shot sis!"

Marik then looked back at Kid and said sternly as if he had a choice in the matter, "I'm not going."

Akiko kind of became fascinated with the game so she jumped up on the stool next to Atem so she could watch better. She sat on her knees on the stool, which was a rather strange and childish way to sit. She got the basic gist of it, though she did not know of all the power ups you could get, nor how to get them. Of course instead of asking, she figured if she kept watching she could figure it out on her own. He seemed to practically know the puzzles and how to solve them. At first they seemed easy, then they started getting a little harder. Every time he had a close moment her hand that rested on the other arcade machine would tense into a fist, then relax when he was fine. It was a natural reaction, since when she usually played games she tensed up in 'close call' scenarios. She remained silent though, too timid to ask about anything. She also dazed out a little, contently swinging her tail lightly from side to side.

[[nothing for Soul or Jonouchi right now, can't think what to do with them quite yet besides the game]].

((Nothing for Atemu or Maka in this post. It would get pretty repetitive having them doing the same thing every post. I'm focusing on Lerena, Renoko, and Kid right now. It's a short post. Lerena and Renoko are off to see Shinigami-sama. Kid is having trouble getting Malik and Marik to come with him. Perhaps Liz and Patty can help with that.))

Liz and Patty distracted Malik and Marik well enough for him to finish writing his name. It was just then that he remembered he forgot to complete the task. Renoko's words proved to be more than just a comment; the other two he needed were being more rebellious than Lerena and Renoko. It still struck him as surprising that Lerena was a witch. She didn't use her magic and she didn't put up much of a fight. The only thing they did was play at his biggest weakness. Something didn't seem right. This seemed almost too easy. Were they planning something? That had to be it.

Lerena shook her head in slight embarrassment that Liz was able to hit either of them. It wasn't that much of a crime; no one was perfect. She just found it odd that her shot succeeded in hitting a moving target. What was she supposed to do? A part of herself wanted to run, but there was still that side of her that wished to know her punishment. Curiosity often got the best of her. Hopefully she wouldn't let it become her downfall.

"A promise is a promise, Lerena. He wrote his name; let's go." requested Renoko. As much as she hated to admit it, there was no use in fighting. They'd eventually win. Kid was the son of Shinigami-sama so therefore he had the upper hand purely from his inherited genes.

She looked at her sister strangely for a minute. "Say I don't want to come. What happens then?" Lerena asked.

"You'll be fine." retorted Renoko. She grabbed Lerena by the wrist and dragged her out of the room. To be honest, she had no input to give to Shinigami-sama on why they attacked those students. If he wanted the answer, Malik and Marik would have to be present. Boredom was the only reason Lerena and herself attacked him. One could argue they were also doing Malik a favor, but who was counting points?

For some reason, she felt strange. It was sort of nice getting in trouble. She had no parents to discipline her so her early teenage years were free to develop on their own. This meant her rebellious attitude would spring up without worry of punishment. Even though she loved to be evil and insane, she did long for some type of parental figure. Why was she worrying about this now? Pathetic. She let Renoko drag her in the direction of Shinigami-sama's quarters. It was obvious they had surrendered. As for Malik and Marik...heh. "Good luck with the other two, Kid." Lerena thought with a devilish smirk.

"Why aren't you coming? Father is just. Nothing bad will happen to you two. Just come with us so we can understand both sides of the story." Kid requested. Yes, there would be punishment. That was to be expected. However, he was certain that his father wouldn't do anything abusive or too rash.

[[haha I guess Atemu is too into the game ^__^ I'll just have to change that. I'll get Maka involved with Soul and Jonouchi ^ ^

Also, I see you sent the gold. I won't accept it until the picture is done (kind of of a way to go half way on both ends)

I think I'll have Marik KOed this post so they can help convince Malik to go.

Also... HERE YOU GO!: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p9wYrvZZvog&playnext_from=TL&videos=qqTb6SUYka4 ]]

Malik watched as Lerena and Renoko were practically willing to just go with him. Why? What were they planning? Why would they just simply give up? He shot a glare back at Kid. "Why? Are you serious? He must know what happened and you expect me to believe that nothing bad will happen to us? I'm not about to just roll over and let you take us in," Malik argued. His whole life he was told what to do and was disciplined harshly. And for what? Nothing. He had no need for someone to govern over him. And because of Marik's influence, he believe he could live his own path and free of consequence if he could overpower the ones who try to bring him down. But then he looked back at Lerena and Renoko. They wouldn't just give up. So he thought more about it. Did they agree to go with him because they simply were not afraid? And if so, did that mean he was a coward? No, everything he has done, everyone he has fought- there was no way he was a coward. But wasn't he afraid now?

"He's right though, Shinigami-sama isn't going to be harsh on any of you," Liz said restraining herself from saying 'you have no choice'.

Akiko continued to watch quietly until something caught her attention. What was he doing? He was going for the last heart piece but why didn't he block the last skull? It was going to come after him. She was too slow to say anything, though she opened her mouth to try to say something. The skull came out and killed his character. Akiko simply put her hand on her forehead and grunted to herself. "Why did you do that?" she asked out loud. His character came back to life at the same level and she pointed at the screen, "Put that block there and the other one there, that way it blocks both of them." She didn't realize who he was, or how good at games he was. She just thought he was some guy that liked games, someone normal. She liked games herself, she felt she was pretty good at them herself. Especially since she used to beat her friends at most of them.

"Damn it!" Jonouchi called out again. "I got a total of 10!? This is bull!" He then looked over at Souls score, "110?! Are you shitting me!?"

"What can I say? I'm pro," Soul said in a calm cool tone with a simply grin.

"You ain't pro! Trust me. I'll beat you in something else.... let's see...... Ooo!" Jonouchi said as he walked over to an arcade machine in the general area. "Mortal Kombat Trilogy! I'll rip your head off in one blow!" Jonouchi said blowing steam out.

Soul rolled his eyes and said, "Please, even Maka could beat you at that." He walked over to Maka and said, "Hey, come play a game with us. I bet you can beat Jonouchi at it." He wasn't even sure if she ever played this game, probably not, way too violent and gory for her.

"Oh yea, oooooo I'm so scared of Maka. Please! This game is too hardcore for her," Jonouchi bragged. "You're just scared I'll beat you Soul, that's why you are going to have Maka play for you," he said.

Akiko turned around, "Goodness Jonouchi you sure like to brag a lot!" She let out a quirky smile.

"You're next!" Jonouchi said in a jokingly exaggerated deep tone voice at Akiko. "Not that you would be much of a challenge either Akiko," he added with a laugh.

"Hahaha, you keep telling yourself that Jonouchi," she said blowing him off and turning back around to watch Atemu play this level.

((That's definitely a good way of getting Maka involved. I think Maka would enjoy the challenge of showing those boys she can handle things. If none of these reasons convince Malik to go, I'll need some idea of what can. XD))

Kid thought for a moment about how to convince him to join Lerena and Renoko. He had a few things to point out; at least one should convince him to see the light. "If he wanted to hurt you, he could have turned the entire school against you, number one." Kid explained. "Number two, do you honestly think you are able to overpower me?" he asked. "Your weapon is unconscious and you are outnumbered three to one right now." added Kid. "Lastly, don't you care what happens to that girl? She seemed to care enough to keep her word. I think you should consider getting punished along with her. After all, she seems willing to face the consequences. Are you so much a coward that you aren't willing to recieve a just and fair punishment? All Father wants is an explanation of what happened. Based on that, he will choose what happens next. Death is not an option and we will not abuse you. Is any of this getting through to you?" he finished. He tried to see if he cared about that girl at all, but it seemed to him that Malik really didn't give two shits. Renoko, the weapon, was always pretty submissive to her sister's wishes. It was Lerena who agreed to attack them, wasn't it? As he thought this over, it became more obvious that her instincts as a witch made it difficult for her to be anything but sadistic and cruel. Was there an underlying reason to her actions? There had to be somewhere.

Maka glared at Jounouchi. "Are you saying that I'm weak?" she asked. With her attention withdrawn from the game, she quickly lost to the blobs. Unknowingly, she forgot she was playing a game at all. "MAKA...CHOP! I'll defeat you, Jounouchi.[/b[" she promised with a hard karate chop on his head. Even though she had never played the game, she knew some things about it. The game itself was gory and bloody. Beyond that, it was foreign territory. If she was going to play this game, she'd have to hold back her personal disgust for violence as a whole. She may be a Meister at Shibusen, but that didn't change the fact she preferred fighting only when necessary. "You seem to be singling out the women in this group to be pitiful and weak. Why don't I show you that I have what it takes to kick your butt, jerk?" she said angrily.

Atemu blinked. "Oops..." he said. He was doing so well that he forgot that even he could be cocky at times. Taking Akiko's advice, he blocked both skulls. The next level he lost because he paid attention to Jounouchi's accusations that Akiko and Maka couldn't beat him. "You shouldn't say that, Jounouchi. You used to loose to Anzu all the time in Duel Monsters." explained Atemu. He remembered, because Yuugi used to tell him stories of their past duels.

Kid's first point did make a lot of sense. There would have been tons and tons of meisters and weapons here to help take him in. Instead, Death sent his one son. Although in his mind he defied him on his second point. Bullshit he was overpowered. If someone wants to survive enough, they could over come anything. "Hmf, I could take you on if I wanted to. Just because my weapon is useless at the moment doesn't mean I'm some weakling, just remember that," he said acting cocky. Kid's last point made him think. Was Lerena being caring? Was she being smart? Fearless? Or was she planning something? He couldn't decide. Malik however scuffed at the statement 'just and fair punishment'. There was no such thing nor did he believe he should have to receive punishment. Influence from Marik made him think as so. But he certainly wasn't a coward. As he contemplated, he made sure to promise himself that if things were to get bad, he would fight as hard as he could to get free. "Fine, if he really wants to hear the story so bad," Malik said finally agreeing to go with them. He, however walked away from the group and towards Marik. With on swift kick to Marik's stomach the weaon woke up.

Marik started hacking and gasping after he was kicked in the gut. He forced a growl in between gasps, "What?!"

"We're going, now," Malik said in a stern forceful tone.

Akiko turned her attention back to Maka and Jonouchi. She bursted out laughing when Maka chopped Jonouchi in the head. Seemed Maka took on his challenge. "OOoooo, Maka's gonna kick your butt," Akiko said spinning around in the chain slowly since it was a swivel chair.

"Maybe I am calling you weak," Jonouchi said egging on Maka. Suddenly he felt a tremendous thump come down on his head. He fell right to the floor faceplanted. When he got back up he grumbled, "You didn't have to hit me......" As he rubbed his head he walked over to the machine. "I'm not singling out the women, Soul is the one that mentioned you," Jonouchi tried to dodge the bullet.

"That's because I'm tired of beating you Jonouchi," Soul joked.

"Quiet Soul," Jonouchi snapped at him quickly.

"Yea you are, don't lie," Akiko said as she kept spinning using her tail to keep the momentum.

"I'm not saying you guys are weak, I'm saying that girls don't play video games that's all," he said.

Akiko stopped herself from spinning and just glared at Jonouchi giving him a look as if saying 'are you serious?'. "I'm..... going to pretend I didn't hear that and ignore you now," she said resuming to spin in her seat. "Besides, you're not talking smack to Atemu like you are to us," she said realizing that- only thinking it was because he was a guy and they were girls.

"Oh no, no no, never again, no," he said in response to challenging Atemu. Last time he did Atemu managed to get 2 perfect KOs on him. He liked playing games with him, he was his friend after all, but Jonouchi liked to win every once in a while. "Well I mean look at you now. You're not playing anything right now," Jonouchi pointed out. Him and Maka reached the character select screen. "I'm going to be Subzero," he said selecting that character.

"Maka, be Cyrax," Soul said pointing out the yellow robot on the screen. He was a good character, one that he used to play as. Soul was in the middle of telling Maka how to do one of his special moves when Jonouchi interrupted.

"Hey hey! She's playing not you," he said interrupting Soul.

"I'm thinking about what I want to play! Sheesh!" she said almost in a pout. She looked over at Atemu for a moment and questioned, "Never again, huh?" She wasn't sure what Jonouchi meant. She stopped spinning again to actually look around. "Pinball sounds good right now," she said standing up on the seat quickly then hopping off of it with her feet. She put her quarter in and started to play.

"Hey! I thought I was going to play you in this next!" Jonouchi called over to Akiko.

"Nah, not in the mood to make a grown man cry today," she said jokingly.

((Nothing for Lerena, Renoko, or Kid in this post. Focusing on Atemu and Maka right now. You can have them get to Shinigami in your next post. I don't know what to do with Lerena or Renoko until Shinigami meets with them. Also, due to only using two characters, this post is short.))

Atemu was slightly annoyed at Jounouchi's accusation. Did he forget that this was the twenty-first century? Girls had less sexist roles. It wasn't like his life back in ancient Egypt. Everyone back in his time basically categorized women as weak, property, and various other things. His memories showed him a lot. Egypt probably was no better with the way they used to treat women. Besides a barely audible sigh, he showed no contempt or anger of any sort. He was used to Jounouchi being like this. He searched for another game to play and this time chose a game of chance. It was similar to a shadow game, only far less risky. If he played his cards right, he could win a lovely prize. He slipped in a coin and gripped the toy gun that came with it. He had to shoot a coin into one of the holes to win tickets.

"That is a foolish assumption, Jounouchi." Maka retorted. "I enjoy many video games, mostly of the puzzle variety. You shouldn't judge us purely by our sex." she said sternly. She chose Cyrax as Soul suggested and shot her opponent a nasty stare. "He is my partner. He knows these games better than I do, so why not listen?" she pointed out. Maka exited the character selection screen and pushed the button that said she chose her character. Jounouchi had already chosen his so the game was about to begin.

As Shinigami-sama ordered, Kid had brought him the student's in question. He turned around, not as carefree as usually yet not angry-yet. "Students..." he addressed them looking upon them. He didn't know how much Marik or Malik knew about Lerena. He decided to leave the fact that he knew she was a witch out of their little discussion. "You four obviously know why you are here, so let's get right down to business. Explain to me what happened and why," Shinigami-sama said.

While Malik decided to stay quiet until directly called upon, Marik decided to open his big mouth. "Pfff, that's it? We are just going to stand here and tell you what you already know? Just like that? Some big tough guy you are, not even going to drill it out of us. You simply just 'ask' for it..." Marik ragged on Shinigami-sama. Even though he acted tough and fearless, he was a little worried right now. Thus why he called out Shinigami-sama so immaturely.

Shinigami-sama cut off Marik, "SHINIGAMI-CHOP!!!" and chopped him right down on his crown.

Marik fell right to the ground from the chop to his head. He stayed down for a while.

Malik looked over at Marik only with his eyes. He was nervous as well. "Idiot...." he murmured ever so slightly. He needed Marik to be up and ready. If their punishment was heavy, he needed Marik to be ready to help him escape. Death the Kid speaks of a Shinigami who is just and fair. However how much justice will their be for murderers? He didn't expect any, he never expected any since the beginning. He was also never intending to get caught as so. He didn't realize Shinigami-sama was nosy with that mirror of his. Perhaps it could have been avoided if they finished off Atemu as well. This was Marik's fault, if he didn't push him so much the two boys would be dead and the two of them would have been long gone from here.

Shinigami-sama noticed the boy's silence. So he looked over at the girls and said, "Ladies first." He waited to hear from them first.

"I said before I'm not judging, I'm just saying!" Jonouchi said still trying to cover up his tracks. The game began and of course, Jonouchi took Maka lightly. So lightly that it cost him the first match. "Are you serious!?" Jonouchi said putting his palm to his face in disbelief. "I'm guessing you've played this game before then?" he asked feeling silly now.

"I don't think Maka has ever played this game. You just flat out suck Jonouchi," Soul pointed out. He was a little shocked actually, Maka did pretty well. But also, Jonouchi wasn't trying very hard that last battle. That was his own fault though. "Maka, you're doing great. Just be careful next round, looks like Jonouchi's actually going to try next round. You just have to win one more time to win the match," he said.

"She ain't going to beat me next turn, I'm going to take you down to China Town!" Jonouchi said readying for the next match.

When Akiko plays games, she usually blacks out everything else around her. She loved pinball, it was one of her games. She concentrated on it heavily as she kept the ball from falling in the hole. She also made the most out of her hits, trying to get high scores and repeated hits.
PostPosted: Fri May 28, 2010 12:28 pm

Soul was right; this time, it was harder. She tried with all her might to win the game. In order to prove something to this dumbass, she would waste no time beating him. She kept playing. It was difficult and she got a few hits in, but her true skills were showing. It was obvious she was new to the game. By the end, she was taking the game quite seriously. Maka did her special move, whatever that was. She checked the controls, but wasn't sure what it actually did.

"I have no idea why I attacked those students." Lerena pointed out with an amused stare. "If it will satisfy your need for an explanation, you can just assume I did it out of love. Isn't that what you people are crazy about these days? 'Love' and 'Justice'?" she suggested. Of course, she had some bit of positive emotion towards the male Meister, but it was more a feeling of friendship. Perhaps it had the potential to turn into love, but she doubted their relationship would progress anywhere. With her hands on her hips, she leaned forward slightly, "I had no motive to attack them. I was curious what would happen if you took a human soul instead of a kishin one. Nothing personal, just wanting to experiment a bit. As for the boys, I really can't speak for them." Lerena explained. She leaned backward a bit and ran a hand through her bangs. "I really didn't mean to harm them that much. I just...wanted them dead." she remarked simply. "That being said, I've said my part and Renoko's. The grudge more or less lies with the Meister, but don't ask me to explain anything else. I honestly cannot."

"What is our punishment?" Renoko asked after her sister was finished. She stayed mostly quiet, because she didn't want to interrupt any of the. Besides the casual look around, she didn't think much of anything either. That mirror was how Shinigami-sama looked at everything, wasn't it? Oh, how she longed for this to be over. She crossed her arms and waited for Malik's explanation.

Malik listened to Lerena's explanation. Love? That was a strange reason. He doubt that she really meant it, but it caught him a little off guard. They didn't seem to put blame on him though, she didn't mention how he told her he wanted her to help with this. She took on a good amount of the responsibility, more importantly, Renoko was looking to know the punishment right away. While Malik was readying to escape if needed, the girls were willing to just accept their punishment.

Shinigami paused for a moment after Lerena finished explaining her and Renoko's side of the story. It was certainly not very reassuring. How could he just let them stay at Shibusen with such attitudes towards life? Then again, Lerena was a witch- and for being a witch she was rather calm and mild. No doubt was she twisted, when you compare her with a human, but compared to another witch, she was different. If Stein knew what he did, he would surely be very interested in her. "And your excuse?" he said to Malik.

Malik glared up at Shinigami-sama when addressed. "I'm not looking to take human souls, I'm not curious nor am I bent of the idea of continually feeding my weapon human souls. I simply want those two boys dead. It's a personal vendetta that began far before Shibusen. If you want to know the 'why' for all of this, I can explain it in one word. Freedom. The details are boring," Malik spoke with an angry and defensive voice. "Anyway, this was outside of Shibusen anyway, it wasn't even within Death City. So why must we face consequences if it wasn't even school related? This was something done on personal time," Malik explained.

Marik stood back up rubbing his head. "Stupid b*****d...." he mumbled underneath his breath referring to Shinigami.

"You have a point there Malik. Except you forget, the action of all Meisters and Weapons are my concern," Shinigami-sama pointed out the responsibility he had watching over all his students. "Yes Renoko, there is a punishment. Glad you all understand this can't go without one," he said. He then looked back at Malik, "You brought up a very valid point that your actions weren't done on school grounds nor even within Death City. So for punishment you all can simply leave Shibusen and Death City, and never come back." Shinigami-sama then turned around and put his hand up in the air, "You all are expelled, good day!"

"Bullshit!" Marik called out in anger. If they couldn't return to Shibusen or Death City, they could never achieve their goal in destroying the Pharaoh! Well they could, but it would take far too long trying to track him.

"Considering what you all did, you think this is a bad punishment?" he questioned. "Oh and while we are at it, you call all surrender the souls you have captured so far to me," he said adding more punishment. He knew that the expelling part of their punishment would be devastating to Lerena especially. He turned back around to look at Lerena. "Care to explain the cut on your wrist? Or would you rather keep that a secret for now?" he said. He did not expect her to come forth and say she was a witch, not at all. He was just curious as to who the witch was who attacked her.

"Over my dead body!" Marik called out again.

"Oh so you want more punishment?" Shinigami-sama asked Marik.

"Shut your god damn mouth, Marik!" Malik commanded Marik. Their punishment was rough but not nearly as bad as it could have been. He feared being locked away or something extreme. He could deal with this punishment, as much as it sucked.

This round was intense. Jonouchi really wanted to win. And even though he tried his hardest, he was far too tense. It came down to the final bits of life left for the two of them. He was going to win! He just had to hit her one more time! He could do it!

Spirit, who had been only walking around the arcade or laying about, was now standing behind Jonouchi. She waged her tail, interested in what was going on. When she didn't receive attention, she barked at him.

Spirit's bark spooked Jonouchi and made him slip up on his controls. And with that Maka hit him first and won both rounds- winning the whole match. "WHAT!?!" jonouchi called out. He then turned around at the dog and pointed at her, "This is YOUR fault!"

Spirit simply ran around in a circle happily after Jonouchi blamed her for his lost. She wanted to be played with or given attention, and that's what she was getting.

Jonouchi looked back at Maka and Spirit, "That doesn't count."

"Bullshit that doesn't count," Soul replied back. "I told ya she could kick your butt." Soul brought his hand towards Maka so to give her a high five. He then looked at Jonouchi and said, "Man, you're getting pretty boring...." And with that Soul walked over to Atemu to see what he was doing. "Hey man, what are you up to?" he asked him.

"What ever Soul," he said waving him off. He then left the machine to check up on his Meister. She was playing pinball, doing pretty good from what it seemed. "Hey, it's your turn," he said waiting to play against her. He wanted to see if she was actually a gamer like she said she was. Plus he had to beat someone today.

"Just a minute....." she mumbled far too interested in the pinball game.

Jonouchi looked at the score more carefully this time. "You have 5 turns! I'm not waiting that long," he said. You normally start with 3, that means she hasn't lost any yet and gained 2 from her score! Jonouchi walked up behind her to try and grab her to take her away from the machine.

Akiko didn't like to be disturbed while she was playing her game! So the instant Jonouchi tried to touch her to pull her away, she swung her hips and cracked her tail at him. She rarely ever used or moved her tail around when there were other people there. There was a good reason for it too.

Jonouchi backed up when she struck him with her tail. "What the!? That...!? That's not real is it? Ow! s**t that hurt by the way!" Jonouchi asked in shock and rather loudly.

"Obviously it is, why would I wear a fake one?" she said continuing to play.

Humans didn't have tails, it had to be fake. So he walked up behind her again and yanked on her tail- looking to see if it would come off.

Akiko yipped the instant Jonouchi yanked her tail. And it certainly didn't just 'come off'. She turned to him with anger in her eyes. "That hurt you jerk!" she said as she started to smack him continually in the head. She then looked back to see because of Jonouchi, she lost her first ball in pinball. She then continued to smack Jonouchi in the head, "And you made me lose my ball in pinball!"

((I was in a Higurashi mood so I made Lerena go insane. I think this video captures her emotions pretty well.

Rena Ryuugu - Paranoia. To see the scene that I basically copied, only modified to suit Lerena, go to 1:23. But the whole video suits her really. The video says the "F" word a lot so don't watch it around children. 8D And don't watch it at work either. NSFW, unless you work at a murdering company.))

"Which one?" Lerena purred. She did know which one he wanted to know about and if she was correct, he already knew. How could a breakout at Shibusen remain unnoticed? "And I suppose you want to know about the others too. Well, I'll tell you; but I'll cut out the extra bits and pieces and only leave in the relevant parts. The witches hate me. They always have." she started, looking over at her sister. "One day, they were bored of my existence, and they kidnapped me. They killed my parents, then they took me. They gave me the scars on my wrists, my left leg, the one on the right side of my neck, and...they burned a spider tattoo into my back. After that, they took a knife and stabbed through the wound, making a deep scar. It's quite hideous." Lerena explained. Her eyes showed darkness, vengeance, but more importantly, they showed remorse.

She didn't wait for Shinigami-sama to say he wanted to know about them. She wanted him to know about her pain, her suffering. But somehow, she felt it wasn't worth being here if she couldn't be happy, if she couldn't live like the other Meisters. As a witch, of course she had no place in this school. Shinigami-sama obviously didn't care about her or why she did the things she did. She was being expelled, and on what grounds? His lack of forgiveness? Everyone did bad things and Dr. Stein himself loved to experiment just as she did. Although, he never seemed to take an interest in her particular affairs. Did he ever stop to think that if Yuugi survived, he would be made stronger? Yes, pain made everyone stronger.

"A witch attacked me today." Lerena explained. "She made the new cut you see here. Her name? Hahaha. Wouldn't you like to know? Well, fine, I'll tell you. Her name is Marissa." she remarked. She held her wrist up, then lowered it and started scratching at her otherwise uninjured scar until it began to bleed. Blood seeped through her wounds and she dropped it by her side.

"LERENA, WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!" Renoko shrieked. She grabbed Lerena by the wrist and tried to stop her from continuing this.

Before she could explain herself, she came to a realization. If she tried to get Shinigami to see how much torment she was in, he would counter by asking how she's better than the boy she tried to kill. She stayed quiet for what seemed like hours to her. "I can't tell you, Renoko. I'm not sure. I just felt like doing that." said Lerena simply. "I'm sorry..." she told her sister. She jerked out of her grip and licked some of the blood off her wrist. She looked thoughtful then she let out an irritated sigh. "I'm unstable, don't you get it?" she asked to no one in particular. "The witches want me dead! They thought I was too nice, too pure, so they went and ******** me up! I can't tell you why they're bothered about it all, but if I'm correct, you know already, Shinigami." remarked Lerena. She seemed slightly calmer, like before, but still angry. "I apologize for that. I'll leave the school by tomorrow." Lerena promised. She looked sad, but she held back tears. Pathetic little witch...that's all she was. The girl from before would never return, because of that day.

Renoko couldn't stand seeing Lerena so submissive, so sad, so defeated. She looked to Shinigami. What was worse was Lerena did something worth dying for, being hated for. People would judge her, because she had the personality of a witch. How was she supposed to change? It was her nature. "Lerena...it's okay, I'll protect you..." Renoko promised.

"It isn't a punishment if it makes me happy..." Lerena said with an emotionless stare at her sister. "I almost lost it, almost said something selfish. I can't change my nature. This is who I am." she remarked. "There's a way for me to change, but believe me. It won't be easy. Maybe I'll find someone outside of Shibusen that will accept me as I am and give me what I want: salvation, freedom, protection. Come on Renoko. Let's go."

"Is it really freedom if you're always hiding?" asked Renoko.

Lerena looked at Renoko, then Malik, then Marik, then Shinigami, then Malik, then Renoko, and sighed. "It's difficult to say." She would accept her punishment and she hoped that was obvious. Nothing she could do would persuade Shinigami-sama to keep her here. She was a witch and a dark, evil person. Because of this, she had to go. She wanted no one's pity, but she hoped someone would be there to share the pain with her. It wouldn't be enough to have Renoko around anymore. She wanted friendship, and maybe one day love. She may be a witch, but she was still a teenage girl. Tears finally rolled from her eyes and she wiped them away herself. She bit her lip and started walking away.

"Wait, Sister! We haven't given Shinigami the souls he requested." said Renoko.

Atemu looked at Soul. "I'm playing a game of chance." he explained. He smiled. "Want to try?" he asked. He got around two-hundred tickets from the game already. Perhaps someone had better skill at the game, but he considered it a good try for his first few rounds. Hearing Akiko's angry comment at Jounouchi, he turned around. He obviously just pulled her tail. "Jounouchi!" said Atemu disapprovingly. It was one thing to be a bad sport and another thing entirely to hurt someone. It didn't matter if it was an accident; he shouldn't just assume something is fake.

Maka gave Soul a high five and walked off to watch Akiko play pinball. She was very annoyed with Jounouchi for distracting her, but kept quiet until he pulled her tail. "Jounouchi, don't do that!" she nagged sternly. She wasn't one to slap people; she usually just gave them a chop down the middle of their head. She did just that to Jounouchi to prove her point and how serious she was. When Akiko used her tail like that, she was certain it was real so Jounouchi pulling it was very rude. Akiko's reaction showed her that it was also painful. "Be more respectful of people even if you think something is fake." she added. She waited for Akiko to begin playing again. Pinball was pretty nice. It took skill and practice to master it, so she liked it.

Shinigami stayed quiet and mindful during Lerena's story. He listened fully and completely. Even though Meisters and Weapons hunted witches he could still feel pity for them. Witches were hunted because they were naturally chaotic. There were exceptions to these rules however, some were not. Lerena was one of them, Shinigami could tell by her demeanor, aura, and story. In these cases, he did not make these witches known. Angela was one of those witches, although BlackStar ended up finding out about her. He watched her, she even started to scratch open her scar. However her sister stopped her from continuing.

Marik listened to her, even though most parts were already things he knew. He looked to Shinigami-sama. It was hard to tell what he was thinking or feeling with a face like that. "Lerena!" he called out to her as he was about to jump over to her to make her stop scratching out her wound.

"I may know and I may not know," he said not giving her a straight answer on whether or not he knew she was a witch or not. As Lerena was about to walk away Shinigami lifted up his hand and spoke, "I'm not done yet. There is more to this. Even though you are all expelled there is one way to get back into Shibusen. I may be Lord Death but I do believe in atonement. As Meisters and Weapons your duty is to extinguish Kishin Eggs but to also guide lost souls to where they need to go." Shinigami-sama pointed to the mirror which made 4 soul icons appear at the top. Each was a different shape and color, they represented the four students. Next to each pair of icons was each a '0'. The pairs were Marik and Malik, and Lerena and Renoko. "In order to return to Shibusen, each Meister and Weapon together must bring down kishin eggs or help lost souls find their way, a hundred times. I'll be keeping tally," Shinigami-sama finished explaining.

"What happens to the kishin souls we capture? Do we keep them?" Marik questioned.

"Of course not! You are being punished!" Shinigami-sama scolded Marik.

"Where do the lost souls go to?" Malik asked much more calmly then his counterpart.

"The River Styx of course. Is Dr. Stein teaching you nothing? You send lost souls to the River Styx to Charon. Just make sure they have toll," he stated.

What the hell did that mean? Toll? They hadn't went over this in class. And personally this sounded boring. He'd rather just slay the 100 kishin eggs and surrender those. A lot less stressful.

"This is stupid," Marik complained.

"You want to come back don't you?" Malik said with aggravation in his voice.

"Maybe..... maybe not," he said.

"Well go on, give him your souls," Malik commanded Marik. Marik was about to cop an attitude some more about doing so, so before he had the chance Malik approached him and hit him with his open palm in his gut. When the hit made contact his hand and Marik's stomach glowed. Malik pulled away slowly to have all the souls Marik had eaten to escape and scatter across the floor of Shinigami's room. "You always have to make things so difficult," he said walking away from him. He didn't want to risk having Marik cause them more of a punishment.

"b*****d....." he mumbled underneath his breath. That way of summoning all of the souls out of him hurt, and not just from the initial hit. He was rather disappointed with his Meister, he was sitting back and taking this punishment like a b***h. And he expects him to gather these souls just to forfeit them again. ******** that! Why do that when the two of them could just infiltrate Death City and Shibusen to finish off the Pharaoh? Then who cares if they returned to Shibusen, mission accomplished.

Soul took a look at the game, look simple enough to play, but Atemu was right- it was a game of chance. "Yeah sure, looks cool," he said taking him up on his offer. Soul ignored whatever happened over there, he was sure it was just Jonouchi doing something stupid. God bless him.

Jonouchi suddenly felt a sharp pain against his cheek. He looked scared at first as he put his hand on his cheek. That certainly hurt! And it was unexpected! "Woah! Why am I being beat up over here?" he said a little shocked but joking slightly. He then looked over at Akiko for a moment. "Sorry about that.... didn't realize it would hurt that much," he apologized.

Akiko gasped slightly when Maka slapped him. She didn't expect it really. She hadn't had anybody stand up for her in a long time. And was it bad that she found it slightly funny? She hid that though, now was not the time to laugh. "Thanks Maka," she said with a small smile. She then looked at Jonouchi who apologized to her. She gave him a big smile and said, "S'ok, you are forgiven." She went to turn around to play pinball again only to find a child had taken her place to play the game. "Heyyyyy......." Akiko whined a little. The kid looked up at her and smiled cutely, he was young, just tall enough to be able to see the board.

"Pinball!" the kid exclaimed happily.

"Awwww," Akiko said smiling, "that's cute."

"Well, now you can play Mortal Kombat," Jonouchi said with a silly smirk.

"Well ok..... but don't be mad when I beat you," she said rolling her eyes a little bit. "By the way, who won last match?" she asked as they walked over to the machine.

"Maka," Jonouchi said in a pout.

"Nice. Good job Maka," she said congratulating her. Her and Jonouchi got to the arcade machine and the character select screen. Akiko chose Sonya.

"Sonya huh?" Jonouchi said choosing SubZero again. "So um...... are you...... human?" Jonouchi had to ask from curiosity.

"Yes Jonouchi...... I am human," Akiko said unamused.

"Well I'm just asking cause you know..... I've never met anybody with a tail who was human," he said.

"So if you met an albino for the first time, would you question them if they were human even though they lack pigment?" she questioned starting to get aggravated.

"Well, no. But that's because I know about albinos. I never heard of a human having a tail," he said trying to justify himself. And it wasn't wrong that he questioned it. Even though he may be a bit obnoxious about it.

Atonement? Her lips curled into a dark smile, but her eyes still looked remorseful. Somehow, she thought Malik was about to stop her from her unjustified self-mutation. If Renoko didn't beat her to it, would he have? Her back was still turned so no one could see the expression on her face. She was glad; surely she was blushing. Feeling heat rising in her cheeks, she closed her eyes. "Renoko, give him your souls." she ordered. The atonement was reasonable and if it meant a way back to Shibusen, she'd take it. Besides that, it at least seemed she'd be hanging out with Malik more often. Wait...why did that matter? The blush turned darker and she barely said anything in response. It was obvious she misunderstood the statement. Even if she did, the thought was nice. Would she quit thinking like this? As the blush faded, she turned around. "We accept those terms, that is, Renoko and I do. But tell me, how do we make souls find their way? I only know how to obtain a kishin egg." she explained at last. She also didn't know what toll meant, but additionally, she didn't know where the Styx River was. She had such bad directional skills, she'd need Malik's help for that. Renoko also didn't know, because she'd never been there.

Maka thought the kid was cute, but she still shouldn't have stolen Akiko's game. However, Jounouchi insisted that she play Mortal Kombat. This was the perfect opportunity for her. Nothing went exactly as planned. If that was the case, there could be no true satisfaction, no actual achievement. She watched as Jounouchi and Akiko played the game. She rooted for Akiko, because she thought Jounouchi was rude and obnoxious. Sure he had a caring side, but he was similar to Blackstar in a way. Was she really comparing someone like to him to that noisy kid? They probably differed a lot. In terms of competitiveness, Jounouchi was a far better sport about it. Blackstar never seemed to turn down a challenge, but he probably wouldn't be able to take a fight against a female seriously. He also didn't appreciate his weapon as much as he should.

[[sorry this took a long time- I got writers block on this story. I'm still trying to figure out what to do with my character and the group she is with. Right now they are just burning time. Atemu and my character aren't really clicking at all lol.]]

"All Dr. Stein ever does is dissect stuff...." Malik commented. "I accept the terms as well. And I'll speak for my weapon, he does as well," Malik answered. He wasn't sure what Lerena and Renoko were going to do once they left Shibusen. Would they go off on their own? Normally, Malik would go off on his own as well. But he found himself thinking about those other witches. He told himself because it was a good opportunity to slay witches. But he only needed one for Marik to turn into a Death Scythe. He feared that he actually felt obligated to pay her back. Not only did he get them into this (even though they were very willing to do this) but now the witches are after her. The only shelter she had was taken away from her. And why did it bother him so much? Well, he wasn't going to plead for them to stick together. If Lerena and Renoko wanted to go off on their own then they could, but he wouldn't deny them if they wanted to stay. Besides, maybe he would actually get to see her magic. He could never openly say, but he was quite curious in the powers of witches.

"Souls who lose their way are those who have deceased and had unfinished business in their life. They are distraught and cannot find the way to River Styx to cross over. These are not like the Kishin Egg souls that your weapons eat- those are evil souls that are not allow to cross over. We deal with those souls while Charon deals with all the other souls. It's just easier that way," Shinigami-sama explained. "Human souls, rather, ghosts, look exactly like humans- like they used to. The living cannot see them but since you are meisters and weapons, you can see them. You can tell them apart because you can see their soul burn white in their stomach area. They will look almost translucent. The way you guide them is to help them with what ever keeps them bound to this world- just like you were helping anybody from the living. Once they are at piece they will know the way to the River Styx, but you have to accompany them to make sure they don't stray off again," he explained some more.

"And the toll? What is that about?" Malik asked.

"Charon is..... materialistic. Afterall, he remains at the docks all alone. It has..... made him go slightly mad. He's not bad, in fact he is a dear friend. He just believes he is indebted to something for helping souls. He will take anything- sometimes he simply enjoys a gold coin, other times he likes to take something personal from them. Anything, doesn't have to be big. If they can't pay the toll, he will through them off board during the middle of the trip across the river. The soul then has to struggle to swim back and remain beached until they have something to give him," Shinigami-sama explained. "Besides making sure there is a toll, I suggest that you don't spend much time with Charon- his behaviors change like the phases of the moon," he added.

The game started and instantly Akiko started to wail on Jonouchi's character. Her moves were fluent and quick. The first round was over quiet quickly- ending with Akiko winning with a perfect. "Are you going to actually play next round?" Akiko said jokingly but slightly innocently.

"Oh no f'ing way," Jonouchi said in shock. "Akiko that's not funny," he said.

"What? I've been playing this game and others since I was little. I've beaten all types of gamers. It's funny cause most boys I play who think I'm completely helpless almost always have the same reaction," Akiko said as she put her finger on her cheek, "I wonder why that is." She was used to guys gloating how good they were. It was getting a little old. True, she wasn't the best gamer in the world- she's been beaten plenty of times. But she wasn't a weakling. Not in games and not in fighting.

"Ok, round two, here we go. No holding back this time," Jonouchi said psyching himself up.

"Oh good! Cause I hate when guys say that they weren't trying even though they really were," Akiko said cutely but still throwing words. Why not? It was all in good terms.

((I couldn`t resist replying. You have been waiting so long and I have time now. Apologies for the short post, but my time is still limited. 100 yen for every 15 minutes.))

Lerena nodded. "Understood. I hope that by doing this, I will actually achieve something." said Lerena honestly. She fiddled with her fingers and looked to Malik. "I want to stay with you, just because I am a bit paranoid. Besides, there is power in numbers." she explained. Turning to look at her sister, she waited for her reply. She imagined that one day she would have to use her witch powers to defend herself against another witch. They were tricky and some could easily separate her from Renoko. Without her, she was definitely weaker. There was no mistaking that. The bond the two sisters shared was intensely strong and unbreakable. Under no circumstance did she feel safe showing her powers to Marik. He would not hesitate to kill her. But perhaps, if he got to know her, it would become that much easier for him to accept her existence as a witch when it became time to reveal her status. Would he seek to use her powers for his own gain? That did not actually matter. She always wanted a use, a purpose. Without that, she was lifeless.

"I agree with Lerena. It is impossible for me to constantly protect her with such human needs." Renoko explained, referring to her need to sleep. She closed her eyes. "I believe this is an excellent opportunity to learn some discipline, especially since we were never really taught any." She was not really speaking for herself, rather Lerena. She always saught the simple pleasures of normal day-to-day life. Every now and then, she complained, but she found that necessary for her age. Poor Lerena. She heard it in her voice; the girl was embarrassed. Was she developing a crush? Hm...

[[LET'S DO THE TIME WARP AGAIN god I'm such a f*****t >.>]]

...

So the group was given their punishment as well as a way to redeem themselves. Malik didn't really feel guilty about what he did. Just the opposite, he wanted those two dead. He needed revenge, he needed to be free. Words that Marik has told him so long ago have never left his soul. He didn't know how to be free without doing this. Malik spent the whole night packing up what they needed, what he would need. Marik on the other hand slept that whole night. Unlike his counter part, Malik was attached to the things he has obtained over the years. Try living with nothing then getting rid of the things you liked. He couldn't. It wasn't that he was materialist, well, a little, he didn't want everything he just wanted to keep what was his. He also packed up clothing and necessities- for both him and his lazy other self. He offered to book the hotel they would be staying at. Of course, he wasn't going to pay for it. And by 'booking' he was going to just walk in their and use his and Marik's powers to get a room- for free. Once he was finished he went to his bedroom and crashed onto his bed. He could have sworn it was only an hour until the alarm went off. He took it, ripped it out of the wall, and threw it against the other wall - shattering it.

Marik was up on time since he got a full night's sleep. So once he was washed, changed, and ready to go- he had to wake his other self up. He kicked the door open - which was rude but the only way he could get in. In his hands were two bowls of cereal, one for him and the other for his partner. He could be nice sometimes- in his 'charming' way. "Hey, wake up," Marik said as he walked over to his bed. "I made you cereal, wake up," he said again but got no response. His patience was as thin as a sheet of paper. When Malik didn't get up he poured the milk and cereal on his head and dropped the bowl.

Malik shot up when he felt the cold liquid splash on his face. It wasn't fast enough to miss the contact with the bowl. "GOD ******** DAMNIT!" he screamed. "What the ******** is wrong with you?! Serious!?" he yelled more as he wiped the milk and cereal bits off of his face and hair. "Get the ******** out of my room! NOW!" he pointed at the door.

"Christ! See if I do anything nice for you anymore," Marik said simply eating his cereal like he did nothing wrong.

"NICE!? You poured CEREAL ON MY HEAD ya ******** psycho!!!" he said pointing out the obvious.

"Well then next time wake up when I tell you to," Marik said with a small smirk.

Now was not the time to get on Malik's nerves. He was working on an hour of sleep and now smelt like milk. He forced Marik to turn into his weapon state, grabbed his cereal, then threw him across the room. Marik's blade stuck into the wall. Malik stood up and ate most of his darker self's cereal. "Now I have to take a ******** shower...." he mumbled knowing he had close to no time to do anything.

Marik changed into his human form. His head slammed up against the wall. "That really wasn't ******** necessary...." he said more then aggravated.

Jonouchi made sure that Atemu stayed the night in his dorm- he knew he was upset because of what happened to Yuugi. From such pain would come lack of judgment, he wanted to make sure his friend would not take advantage of those feelings. Even though Jonouchi himself felt the need to get back at them. He offered Atemu the bed since Jonouchi could fall asleep easily on the couch. The boy laid on the couch, one leg up on the neck rest and the other on the floor. One arm on his chest and the other dangling off of the couch. The blanket was pretty much on the ground now. It looked uncomfortable but Jonouchi slept like a baby. Originally, he wanted to wake up decently early so he could check on his friend. But with out his alarm clock he just continued to sleep. [[Atemu should wake him up]]

Spirit always slept at the foot of Akiko's bed. She had to be close to her master in case someone tried to attack her at night. Not that anyone ever has or could- but she was too loyal to not take that chance. Spirit woke up before her master. Spirit stretched and let out a yawn. She walked over to her master to see she was still asleep. Spirit nuzzled her a little but that only caused Akiko to roll over on her other side. It was morning, so she was safe- she could leave her side for the moment. Spirit jumped off the bed, ate some of her food and drank a little of her water. She then saw one of her toys, her favorite- a rubber squeaky toy that was in the shape of a kishin egg. She assumed the position and then bounced at it, chewing at it multiple times causing it to squeak. Spirit then looked at the door for a few moment. Their door was the only one with a dog door. Probably the only one in the world with a doggy lock that Spirit knew how to undo. She did so and left the room with the toy in her mouth. She walked the halls that were filled with students. She made her way to the infirmary. She didn't have to wait for someone to open the door for too long. A nurse exited the room and Spirit snuck in. She wagged her tail when she saw Yuugi still sleeping. He was recovering but still asleep. Spirit jumped up on the chair next to the bed and put her forepaws on the bed so she could look at him. She bite down on the chew toy a few times to make it squeak while wagging her tail. When he didn't give her attention she put the wet toy on his arm and wiggled around waiting for him.

Akiko didn't set her alarm the night before. Normally, if she didn't, she would wake up when Spirit would try to wake her up. Not this time, she was still in deep sleep. Her eyes moved rapidly, she was dreaming.
Akiko dreamt that she was in a cavern, or so it seemed. The walls were dark and dull but blues and purples could still be seen. It was like a painting. Their were streams of water that were on the wall and ceilings, but a main one on the ground. Looking down the way it looked like a spiraling cone almost. Akiko was alone, not even Spirit was with her. She walked down the path until she hit the water. "Why is their water on the path?" she said out loud not realizing it turned into a stream. She looked down at the stream, the water was clear but red water started to creep to the shore. When she looked out in the distance, their were bodies and organs floating towards the shore. She couldn't move, she wasn't sure why. Suddenly, the body crawled up on shore extremely quickly. On closer inspection, their faces were partially sewn together. Parts were different skins, others had part material. All had buttons sewn in their eyes- some had their eyes leaking through the buttons. All had their mouths sewn closed. Akiko winced when they crawled around her, some ignored she was their, others touched her legs. Eventually, they knocked her over and they crawled over her, not even bothering to move around her. They were not heavy, but she could feel the bodies and hands all over her. She cringed at the feeling.
