Did Someone Say Medic?

I shooed Lenore out of my room for a little while. She is downstairs, "tidying up" the sitting room. I think she is just looking for evidence of something.

Let her think what she wants. I don't care. As much as I appreciate my new cave interior, I do still like to see her squirm.

First, good news! I now have my bow! Nyoka brought it by yesterday. But, I will ask Lenore to tell her not to come by for a few days. My schedule is going to be busy. . . .

Anyway, Signis helped me heal that stupid wound that the stupid insect gave me.

And then, what do I do? I go and make him bleed. Pretty damn bad, and I made him stay the night, so I could watch over him. . . . Gah! Snakey and Casey are right, I am going soft on him. Goddamn Signis. I should punish him for making me this way, but I can't seem to bring myself to. . . .

We got in another fight, sort of. I think it was more one-sided, which isn't quite as fun, I have to admit.

He got mad at me because I was worried that I would hurt him again if we practiced. I can't believe I let him see that! I can't believe I even voiced it aloud!

He got on his soap-box and told me that when we practice, he is not my lover or my friend. He is my teacher. Where the hell does he get off?! We are not 'lovers'! And, I should have clarified that point to him, but I got stupid, as usual, and said nothing.

Again, what is wrong with me? I am going insane, I swear it. . . .

The scarey thing is, I sort of like it. . . .

Sometimes, I Hate Being a Girl. . . .

Lenore is sitting on the bed of pillows in Bellatrix's bedroom, waiting for her to get out of the shower. She glances over at the sleeping Bedtime.

When she hears Bellatrix open the stone door, she doesn't look up. "So, he calls you love, huh?" she asks, still watching Bedtime.

Bellatrix freezes and narrows her eyes at Lenore. "Were you eavesdropping?" she asks.

"Please, I have better things to do," Lenore says, waving a scaled hand at Bellatrix. When she notes that Bellatrix is staring at her, her narrowed eyes telling her that she does not believe her one bit, Lenore sighs.

"Trixie," she starts, smiling a little at the characteristic cringe. "I am half elf. And, I am a vampire. My hearing is far, far greater than yours. You would have to learn how to speak telepathically for me not to have heard you and him down there."

"Whatever," Bellatrix grumps, rapping the towel around her. "You said you brought me a dress?"

Lenore stands, and nods. She goes to Bellatrix's closet, and pulls out the new dress. It is silver, and form-fitting. Made of pure silk. She hands it to Bellatrix, who immediately drops her towel and slips into it.

Smiling, because she has always loved the feel of silk against her skin, she looks at Lenore. "Thank you," she says, reaching out to pet Casey a moment.

Lenore doesn't comment on her petting air. Instead, she gestures toward Trixie's hair. "Sit at your vanity, and I will get your hair done."

It takes about an hour for Lenore to get all of that thick hair curled, and up in a simple updo. "What do you think?" she asks.

"I like it," Bellatrix says, putting her lotion on her hands and bare arms. She just wishes it hadn't taken so long!

"Alright, I'll leave Bedtime with you. There is a wagon outside. There are some blankets at the bottom of it, and his pillow is out there. I know he might sleep durring the whole thing, so this is so he won't have to sleep ona pillow. Do you want me to get you down there?"

Bellatrix shakes her head, the shining curls bouncing.

"Have it your way," Lenore replies. She goes to where Bedtime is sleeping, and kisses his cheek. "I'll be along to pick him up in the morning."

"That long?" Bellatrix asks, standing up and looking a little put-out.

"Yes, that long," Lenore says, smiling. "I have a life, you know. Eirnae and I are going on a date. I don't know how long we are going to be out."

At the mention of Eirnae, Bellatrix remembers something. "Wait, before you go, I have a question."

Lenore stops at the door. "Hmmm?"

"Well, Casala wanted to know if it was possible for her to learn the snake language," she starts, scratching at her arm.

Lenore grins, her fangs glistening in the candle-light from the chandelier hanging from the roof of the room. Leave it to one of Eirnae's children to get through to Bellatrix. . . . "Well, if you can learn Draconic, I am sure it is possible to learn anything. . . . There are no books to help her, though. You'd have to teach her. I am sure it would be difficult, because two different hissed words could sound the same. . . ."

"Alright, I will tell her," Bellatrix says.

"See you in the morning. Do try to have fun, Bellatrix. And, play nice," with that, she slips from the room.

Bellatrix glowers after her.

Allies? - The Gaia-versary Event.

The night was not a total waste, in my humble opinion.

Although, a troublesome rumor is now spread about me. . . . I can deal with that, and, really, I could care less about what other people think about me.

But, me? Being pregnant? Eeeeew! Sorry, I can't see that EVER happening.

No matter how much Signis wants it. . . . Oh! I failed to mention in my other entry. . . . Let me just quote everything, because it is now BURNED INTO MY MEMORY!
Bellatrix pauses here, clearing her throat and sounding just a little uncomfortable about what she is about to say.

Signis was sleeping. He had been dreaming. . . . When I woke up, I heard him sleep talking. . . .

"Urgh... Coffee and some pancakes love, I've got work to do..." And he went on further to say, "Mmm... Bellatrix... Isn't this nice... I'm so glad I moved my forge down here... And in with you..."

Don't stop to blink here, my dear tape recorder! There is more. . . .

"Mrrm... Oh yeah! Don't forget to check on the kids love... I think Tarus was playing with his blocks out in the sitting room..."

Can you believe that! Kids! ******** KIDS! He dreamed we had THREE! And said he thought we would end up with at least two! Does he think I am some damn factory?!
Another pause to clear her throat, and take some deep breaths.

Alright, that made me panic again. I fear I made him a little upset, I did run from the room as though it was on fire, after all. . . .

But, that was that morning! Now, we are talking about the night.

Signis was properly introduced to Casey. It is only right, right? Yeah, don't read too much into that. . . . I do, however, love the fact that he is not pushing the issue of us being more than, you know, friends sort of dating. It's better that way. I think he knows it, and is being sneaky. Because, now, I am getting close to the point that, if Signis brought up the issue again, I just might give in. . . . Or, rather, that I would say yes, and mean it. You know, to us making it just a little more official.

Anyway, I met a woman named Letha, and her horrible wretch of a wife, Morena. Yes, dear tape recorder, I have another Pae'il that I despise. Aren't I wracking them up in quick succession.

It was bound to happen. . . . And, she deserves my hatred, too! Freaking out poor Snakey that way - Note to self: Have a chat with Snakey about him panicking like that. He almost suffocated me! Of course, I am not mad at him, I could never hate Snakey. It wasn't his fault, it was basic instinct.

Anyway, Letha is the one that helped pass that rumor around that I am pregnant. I could turn that to my advantage, get stuff out of people who know. . . . But, that is for my private thinking time, not now.

I would like to meet this Mo, and get better acquainted with Victor. Those three seem like people I could really get along with. We might have things in common. You know, like-minded and all that.

I will give more information as it comes. . . . Until then-
there is the clicking of the tape recorder being shut off.

Snakey, You Fool. . . .

"Snakey, I wish to speak to you," Bellatrix says when she finds him, hiding, in her sitting room.

Snakey slithers out from under the table, and does not meet Bellatrix's eyes. "Yeeeeessssss?" he asks.

"I want to talk about the other night. . . ." she starts. "You can't ever do that to me again. You could have killed me!"

Snakey doesn't say anything, he just starts to slither under the table again.

Frustrated, she picks him up, and drapes him over her shoulders. "And I will not have a snake that runs away from battles!"

"I neeeeeeever waaaaaaaaannt toooooo huuuuuuuuurt yoooooooooou," Snakey hisses, his hiss a little dejected.

"Yes, well, that is a chance that I take every time I put you on my shoulders, isn't it?" Bellatrix says. Despite trying to be stern, she pets his head. He just looks so miserable! And, no matter how odd it may sound to some people, he is like a son to her. "I just want you to trust me. You have got to trust that I will not let anyone hurt you."

"I doooooooo trruuuuuuuuuuuuuuussssssssssssssssssssssssssst yoooooooooouu, Beeeeelllaaaaaaaatriiiixxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx," Snakey hisses.

"Not enough," she hisses, in a soothing manner. "You have to know that when I pick you up, I will keep you from harms way. I will protect you no matter how hurt I am, no matter what I am doing. But, I have to be frank with you, Snakey. If you do not start to show a little more faith in me, I am going to start to lose some in you, as well. . . ."

Snakey butts her cheek with his nose, and flicks his tongue out. When she doesn't pet him again, he lowers his head.

Feeling that he has got the picture, she takes him off of her shoulders, and watches as he hides under the table again. Sighing, she leaves the room, feeling miserable.

More Lessons? And, Dammit! (February 20th)

The Ending
Lenore: Bellatrix closes the door after Casala leaves, and leans against it. Bedtime is being seen to by Snakey and Casey. She is confident that they will get him to sleep.

With that thought in her mind, she walks quickly back to the sitting room, and picks up the plates and cups, not saying a word as she does so, before swiftly turning on her heels, she walks swiftly into the kitchen, and dumps everything into the sink, not bothering to keep the noise to a minimum.

Is she angry? Perhaps. . . .

Torvil: Signis sits in the sitting room, having already gone about and 'left' the things that needed leaving, all that was left was a small canvas pouch of presents he intended on 'hididng' in easily found spots about her cave. Of course, he knew she was angry, he'd egged her into it, so it would have been hard for her not to be.

Lenore: Gripping the rim of the sink with her hands, she leans over it, trying her damndest to squash her anger.
<******** that! ******** that all to hell! She walks back into the sitting room, and leans casually against the entryway, her arms crossed under her chest, and her burning gaze on Signis.

Torvil: Signis looked up at her and smiled, the grin was slightly smug... YES! JACKPOT, she was PISSED!

Lovers Qaurrel here we come. "Hello luv, how are you feeling?" He asked with a nod of his head as he leaned back on the pillows.

Lenore: "Don't you 'love' me, you a*****e," Bellatrix says. "What the hell do you think you were doing?"

Torvil: "To be candid and blunt, I was teasing you, taunting you, egging you on... Basically, everything you do to me on a daily basis..." Signis laughs. "Tis only fair..."

Lenore: "******** that," Bellatrix says, turning her gaze away from him. "I do that in private. I don't go around, telling your friends that I love you, and that my kisses make you a ******** puddle, Signis!"

Torvil: "You're more than welcome to, and unlike you I'll back you up..." He said with a grin. "Of course you just realize you've admited the one thing you've been denying for pretty much since we started getting close..."

Lenore: "I was speaking hypothetically, Signis," she says, narrowing her eyes at him. "I was not proffessing anything to you. Don't presume that I was."

Bellatrix pushes herself off of the entryway and takes a step into the room. "You might want to believe that, but I am not going to play into your little fantasy. I don't, Signis," she says, leaving off the 'yet' in her head, and completely ignoring the thing that has been scaring her. The fact that it is probably a very real possibility that she DOES love him already. "The sooner you get that through that thick skull of yours, the better."

Torvil: "The fact that you're defending yourself is proof that I'm right..." Signis said smugly, looking up at her and grinning like a loon. "You realize my love, that the more you deny your feeligns for me the more and more obvious they are?"

Lenore: "I am trying to get you to see!" Bellatrix says, exasperated enough to make herself believe it. "You want that to be true, and I can't make you stop. Twist it around anyway that you like, I am being honest."

Liar.

"That is besides the point. What I am trying to say is, you just don't go around telling anybody and everybody, things that happen between you and I. That is private, it is only for us. Not the whole ******** island!"

Torvil: "You know, it was only once, and it was only to tease you, and it was only because I found it fun to watch you squirm... SOMETHING I don't get to see often, but fine, have it your way..." Signis stood and walked towards her bedroom. "I won't try to have FUN around you ever again..."

Lenore: Bellatrix watches as he walks toward the stairs. "Find some other way to have fun around me then! And, just where do you think you are going? Did I invite you upstairs?" petty, yes. But, dammit, he keeps making her angrier and angrier. She is fun! And, he wasn't seeing the point! Fine, it was only once, but what about when they are around people again? He would go spouting off stupid things like that again, right?

Torvil: "I did, cause you know what..." ******** his plan he turned and grinned at her, tossing the canvas bag at her feet. "I'm going to take a nap... Because I'm moving in..."?

Lenore: Bellatrix is floored. ******** FLOORED! She almost doesn't catch the bag. "You're . . . WHAT?" she asks, glaring and gaping at the same time.

Torvil: "Did I stutter? I must have... I am M-O-V-I-N-G I-N!" He waved hsi arms around up over his head. "I had planned on it being a suprise but damn it, your ******** attitude tore it!"

Lenore: "Who the hell do you think you are?!" Bellatrix practically screeches. Yes, panic is very evident in her eyes, and teh high pitch of her voice, but she doesn't even CARE right now. "We never discussed this, aside from that silly dream you had! We aren't doing anything but dating! You skipped a vital point in this little chain of events that leads up to this! You are NOT moving in. In fact, I am going to ask you to take your s**t and LEAVE!"

She is pacing like a caged animal now, and her heart is pounding in her chest. She is scared, and paniced, and trembling a little because of it. How did it get this far? How did she let it get this far. He was a distraction! She wasn't supposed to feel anything for him! And, she is definitely no supposed to be even partly alright with the fact that he is just MOVING in!

Torvil: "You want me to leave?!? LEAVE?!? WELL FINE, JUST ******** FINE! I'm gone... If you want to see me for your next LESSON i'll be in my god-damn ******** FORGE POUNDING AWAY AT METAL LIKE THE ******** USELESS BLACKSMITH I AM!" And with that, he walked right by her without another word, and slammed her front door behind him.

Lenore: s**t, s**t, s**t. . . . What the hell is she going to do! She actually winced when she heard the stone door slam. And, it felt like an arrow going through her. She can't breathe, she just can't breathe!

She pushed him too far. . . . She pushed him way to far, and, dammit! That isn't what she had wanted. Not really. . . . She actually screams in frustration.

Finally, she hurries toward the door and looks out of it, hoping he hasn't flown off. She needs to talk to him, and as calmly and as rationally as she can manage at this point. . . .

Torvil: Signis hadn't gone... Anywhere... He was out of sight of the front door though... having immedately turned off and now leaned ont he side fo the rock face of her cave, head in hands as he sighed. Trying to figure out if he'd made a god-damn mistake or not...

Lenore: "******** him," she says, albeit miserably. "You hear that, you idiot!" she yells, not even looking past the porch to see if he is there. She thinks he has flown off. "I'd like to see him drag his a** back in here. See if I even acknowledge him." She slams the door, before plopping down in one of the chairs on the proch, sighing just as miserably as her tone was a bit earlier. She kicks at a stone on the ground in front of her, snorting.

Torvil: Signis shuffled from the side from the side of the cave and moved to teh poarch, leaning against the wall there now and watching her. "I haven't even left yet..." He murmured weakly, his eyes on her... He was miserable too.

Lenore: "Figures, that's my luck tonight," Bellatrix says, not even looking at him. "How about you tell me why you feel so horrible, and then I will tell you why I do?"

Torvil: "I feel terrible for just... assmuning things..." He sighed and looked out at the clearning near her cave. "You're right... The sooner I accept that you don't love me the easier my life will be... Just... Now... I don't want to accpet it... Bcause... I love you, and I have this hope that you love me too..." He sighed and closed his eyes. "Any relationship I have entered has failed... Not a lot of confidence left I suppose anymore..."

Lenore: Bellatrix grumbles, not believing that she is about to say this. But, she actually hates when he is so frikking miserable. Sighing, she closes her eyes, and says, "You know, Signis, some of what you just said is inaccurate. . . ."

Torvil: "How so?" He asked her, turning his head to look at her, hope starting to rise in his voice.

Lenore: "Dammit!" Bellatrix keeps her eyes closed, crossing her arms over her chest. Kicking out her foot, she mumbles. "I sort of love you. . . ." and waits.

Torvil: "Sort of?" Signis was confused... It was kinda... yeah or NO, with him... There was very little middle ground..."

Lenore: "Fine," She sinks in her seat, just wanting to be as small as possible at this point. "Iloveyou," she says is quickly, and keeps her eyes stubbornly closed. She does not want to see anything around her right now, including whatever face Signis might make.

Torvil: Signis walked over ane knelt next to her chair. He leaned in and whispered. "I love you too... Thank you for loving me..." And then he kissed her, soft and passionate at the same time.

Lenore: Bellatrix sighs, a little happily, and puts an arm around him.

She does, however, keep the kiss short, and is soon pulling away. "That doesn't mean we are doing more than dating, Signis," she wants to make that very clear. "And, I am open to you, you know, slowly moving in here. You have to work with me. I'm not anything like you where this is concerned. . . ."

Torvil: Signis nods slowly. "Understood..." He murmured softly. For now... He fails to add... He rests his head on her shoulder and sighs happily.

Lenore: "What was in the bag?" she asks, gesturing inside. She wants to get away from this subject, it always drains her, emotionally and physically.

Torvil: "Presents... Little snake trinkets I made..." Signis murmured. "THe larger bag was some of my stuff...'

Lenore: "Presents?" she finally opens her eyes and turns her head to look down at him. "You know, you didn't have to. . . ."

Torvil: "I never have to, but I want to, and that's what counts..." Signis said cutting her off before she can say anything else with another kiss.

Lenore: Bellatrix hugs him closer to this, and lans into the kiss, deepening it a little as she lifts a hand to stroke his hair.

Torvil: He leaned more into it, though really, this was not a comfortable posistion in the least for kissing, not that he minded at all right then.

Lenore: She pulls away again, and stands. "Alright, let's go inside, and get some of your things unpacked?" She says. Without a word, she goes into the cave again, and holds the door open for him.

Torvil: Signis chuckled. "They're already upacked, I scattered them amongst your things so you wouldn't notice..." He chuckled a little more as he headed inside.

Lenore: "You. . . . What?" Bellatrix closes her eyes again, and takes a shaking breath. She isn't going to be angry, she won't allow the panic to come again.

Besides, it's not as though he is asking her to marry him, right? "What all did you bring?"

Torvil: "Just small little stuff..." He chuckled. "Nothing heavy like my forging stuff... I think I'm going to leave that where it is..." He chuckled and shook his head. "But I moved some of my toiletry stuff here, as well as some food..."

Lenore: "Ah, I see," she says, closing the door finally. "Well, uhm. . . . Where do we go from here?"

Torvil: "Well... I guess the best way is to get used to me being around..." He chuckled softly and turned to her, walking backwards a bit. "And all the perks therein..."

Lenore: "Well, you pop in whenever you please," Bellatrix sneers at him. "And, perks?"

Torvil: "Yes I do, and you've never complained..." He said shooting a look at her. "I am here... I can become sweaty if you want me to... I can give you kisses and what not, also, I'm a blacksmith... I can fix things..."

Lenore: Bellatrix eyes him. "What makes you think I can't fix things?" she asks, putting a fist on her hip, a small smile on her lips.

Torvil: "Nothing, but I can fix things and get all sweaty... and don't deny it... I know you like watching me get and be sweaty..." He winked at her.

Lenore: "Oh? Whatever gave you that idea?" she asks, now amused. "Sweat is disgusting, after all. . . ."

Torvil: "So says the woman who nearly tackles me anytime she sees me sweaty... who turns into a big pile of goo the moment I wrap my strong arms around her and kiss her after I've shown off my physical prowess..."

Lenore: Bellatrix snorts. "So, you have been messing around on me behind my back? Who is this woman, so I can go and kick her a**. . . ."

Torvil: "Now that would be interesting, I've never seen someone kick their OWN a**..." He said eyeing her.

Lenore: Bellatrix shrugs, and takes a step closer to him, a slightly twisted smile on her lips. When she is close enough, she runs her finger, feaher light, over the scar on his chest. Then, she walks, slowly, behind him, and moves his wings out of the way a little. She rests her cheek on his back, wrapping her arms around his waist. "I could never kick my own a**, we would be standing here too long," she murmers. "Besides, you have too much fun wailing on me anyway, am I right?" she gives his waist a little squeeze.

"I'm getting there, Signis. Just, don't walk out on me again. Okay? No matter how bad I get. . . ."

Torvil: Signis sighed a little bit. "I... I won't..." He closed his eyes and smiled a little. "I don't think I could again... It hurt too damn much too..."

Lenore: "Did it? I was under the impression that you might have enjoyed it, the way you carried on. . . ." she says, squeezing him again.

Torvil: "I had to carry on like that because I needed to cover the sound of my heart shattering into itty-bitty pieces and rubmlign all teh way down to my feet..." He said as he placed his arms on hers.

Lenore: "I'm sorry, I keep doing that. . . ." Bellatrix says, glad that his back to her, because she is more than suprized that she still even cares. She nuzzles her cheek into his back, letting out a small sigh. "I don't know why you even stick around. I am horrible to you half of the time. . . ."

Torvil: "Cause I love you, and I know that you love me, even if you don't show it..." He kept his eyes shut and rubs her arms softly. "Because I know it'll be worth it in the long run..."

Lenore: "Signis, how can you be so sure that there will BE a long run?" Bellatrix asks, sighing again, tightening her hold on him. "I'm horrible. Who's to say that you don't decide to just up and leave me tomorrow, because of another remark that I have made?" Alright, she is a little scared about that, and is surprized that she is actually voicing any concerns. . . .

Torvil: "Because I would be stupid to..." Signis murmured gently. "Bellatrix... I will NOT let this relationship fail... I've already had to many fall through to deal with one more..."

Lenore: "So, you are doing this to be selfish?" she asks, loosening her hold on him now, and starting to pull away. She's just trying to understand. . . .

Torvil: "No, I'm doing this because I think I've found the one person that I CAN spend the rest of my life with and be happy..." He turned and wrapped his arms around her, pulling her closer to him. "Because I fell in love with YOU... Maybe I am being selfish, maybe you're meant for somebody else... And if you are that's too damn bad, I'm NOT going to give you up without a serious fight..."

Lenore: She nuzzles her cheek into his chest, and laughs a little. "I'm not going anywhere for a while, Signis," she says, almost too quietly for even her to hear. "I would like to see a fight, darling," she teases. "Maybe I should go and flirt with another Pae'il, just to see you get all jealous. . . ." she nips at the skin on his chest playfully.

Torvil: Signis shivered and he chuckled. "You'd put some poor smuck in mortal danger just to see me kick his as... I'm flattered..." He murmured.

Lenore: "Please, it is for purely selfish reasons," Bellatrix says. "I would love to get some idiot torn apart. You know that," she says, nipping at him again. "So, don't get flattered. It is all for me."

Torvil: Signis laughed and shivered some more. "Mmmm..." He chuckled. "Well if you do decide to do it... I guess I'll just have to kick their a** right good...'

Lenore: "Oh, I won't be telling you," she nips at him again, liking the shivering. "It will be completely by surprize."

She starts to pull away. "So, where did you think you would be sleeping?"

Torvil: Signis shivered one more time beofre he flat out stated. "Your bed would be nice..."

Lenore: "Very forward of you, darling. I was thinking more along the lines of the guest room. However, Bedtime is in there, so I suppose it is the sitting room for you?"

Torvil: Signis frowned. "Seriously? We've slept in the same bed before luv... I dont' see why that can't be true of the rest of the time..." He murmured gently. "But fine... if you want to sleep alone I'll sleep in the sitting room." He raised his hands.

Lenore: Bellatrix laughs, throwing her head back. "Signis, darling, really." She covers her stomach. "Did you honestly think that I was going to make you sleep in the sitting room?" she shakes her head. "But, you know, since you seem intent on the sitting room now. . . ." she starts to walk toward the stairs.

Torvil: Signis dashed towards her and scooped her up. "Oh I don't think so!" He declared quite loudly and spun them around, holding her cradled in his arms. "If we're gonna share a bed, we're gonna SHARE a bed..."

Lenore: Bellatrix laughs. "Really? You think you can get me to sleep inthe sitting room, when I have a perfectly good bed upstairs? Oh, Signis, you think much too highly of yourself!"

Torvil: Signis laughed and started to walk up the stairs holding her close. "You think I would be content in the sitting room knowing you were but a few short steps away?"

Lenore: Bellatrix shakes her head. "Not a few short steps away," she points out. "Fine, you can sleep in the bedroom, but on the cold, stone floor, or the rug," she grins, before nipping his shoulder.

Torvil: Signis shivered as she nipped him. "Awwww... Don't you want my nice warm body under the covers with you?" He chuckled as he walked.

Lenore: "No!" she chuckles, nipping at him again. "I'd much rather you sleep on the floor." She keeps laughing a little.

Torvil: He shivered again and growled playfully. "Arrrre you suuuuurreeee..."

Lenore: "Yessssssss, I am ssssssssssssssuuure," she says, biting his shoulder harder this time, a wicked gleam in her eyes.

Torvil: He groaned and shivered alot more and finally they reached her room. He chuckled and tossed her on the bed, and he jumped on himself.

Lenore: Bellatrix 'ooooofs' when she hits the pillows of her bed. "Nuh uh, you go on the floor," she says, playfully pushing athim when he jumps on. "You're in the dog house, remember?

Torvil: Signis pouts and sighed. "Ooooooohhhh fine..." He grumps and slides to the floor, sitting down on the rug in her room.

Lenore: Bellatrix lies on her side and watches him a moment. Smiling slightly, she sighs. "Ah, this bed is so lovely. Nice and soft and waaaaaaarm," she closes her eyes, and pulls her covers over her, her smile broadening.

Torvil: "You're a terrible tease you know that..." He said, already starting to crawl towards it.

Lenore: Bellatrix is blissfully unaware that he is coming anywhere need the bed. "That's why you love me," she says, curling up a little under the silk sheet, the smile still on her face. "But, yes, I know. No need to remind me."

Torvil: He chuckled softly, throwing his voice a bit to make it sound like he was still on the rug. He slowly climbed up the side of the bed, slipping uunder the sheet, and then, with an expert touch brushes her side as he shifts his weight onto the bed.

Lenore: She chuckles, and scoots away from him. "No touching," she says, even as she shivers. Her voice is low as she wiggles in the covers a little bit.

Torvil: "Awww..." Signis murmured softly, again running a soft touch up her side. "You sure about that?"

Lenore: Opening an eye to look at him, she grins. She scoots back to him quickly, shivering again, and puts an arm around him. She bites his chest, hard, again, and flashes her wicked grin as she gives the skin she just bit a light kiss.

Torvil: Signis shivered more and his hand started to kneed her side and back. "Mmmmm..." He chuckled adn snuggled in closer to her, biting back a groan.

Lenore: Bellatrix chuckles, deep in her throat, even as she moves closer to him. She traces shapes on his chest with her free hand, while the one around him lightly runs along his back. She moves up a little and gives his neck a light n**, and then a kiss, before nuzzling her face there, sighing again.

Torvil: Signis shivered again and closed his eyes, "mmmmm..." He murmured and sighed happily, keeping his eyes closed, feeling himself start to fall asleep

Lenore: Bellatrix, as is her habit, waits until Signis is asleep before allowing herself to drift off after him.

Things keep on moving along the fast track. . . .

Allow me to start at the beginning. Casala visited my cave today. She came with her little Care Pae'il, Friend. She promptly took Bedtime out of my hair. I sent them both up to the guest room to play with all the toys that Bedtime never seems to take back to the manor with him.

At any rate, Casala brought me a wonderful gift! She brought me the jade statue of the snake that I so admired in her temple when I last saw her. It is now sitting in the sitting room. I have people in there if they come over (which, as you know are only, so far, Casala and Signis), so it will be easily seen there.

She left me speechless, caught me completely off guard. I think she might have liked that, but there is nothing I can do to wipe her memory of it. It was just odd, because I have not really done anything to deserve that sort of gift. But, no matter. It was a lovely gesture, and I want to return it, somehow.

Then, Signis came waltzing into my cottage. It is odd, how I don't get angry that he just opened the door and invited himself in. . . . But, I have come to realize that there is nothing I can do to prevent anything I feel for him, so I have to just learn to roll with it. . . .

The three of us discussed training. Casala had expressed an interest in learning, so I said this to Signis. He took over, and offered his services. I am to train her on the flame and the void, though. I don't know when we will start that, probably when I go and help her with putting her temple back together again. We might start the lessons on the snake language, as well.

I actually cannot wait to spend more time with Casala. She is nice, yes, but for some reason, I like her. It has nothing to do with the fact that she has given me another gift. Well, maybe not entirely. Something about her rubs me the right way, and I find myself enjoying out talks and visits so far.

I tried to explain to her about relationships. It is a little hard, but I might have done something to further her knowledge on the subject. I gave her a friendly kiss, I wonder if I might have stolen her first kiss. If so, I feel a little bad about that. I mean, your first kiss should be special, not a demonstration. . . .

Alright, onto the unsettling part of the evening. Signis is starting to move in. I approved, after panicking, AGAIN. Guardians, he seems to have that effect on me! Anyway, we had another row, and he stormed out. Which made me feel. . . . hollow seems to be the appropriate word in this case.

I don't know. I have no experience with this, but, aren't we moving quickly? I mean, really quickly? Is that a good thing, or a bad thing? Am I making a huge mistake here? AM I meant for someone else? Or, did I happen to find the man I am supposed to be with so soon?

All I know is that. . . . I am having odd feelings, that are a little too strong for my liking. And, they are scarey. I mean, I seriously believe that, when next he broaches the subject of us doing more than dating, I will say yes, and MEAN it. . . . I might put up some fight, because I feel like I have to, but I know I will agree. I don't know if it is love, but I don't want it to go away. . . .

Bah, I am getting stupid again. I am going to go rest, and hide this damn recorder and the tapes, just in case. . . .

Nyoko. . . .

Bellatrix has finally coaxed Snakey into coming out on her search today. He still isn't really talking to her, and being very sulky. She wonders why she even bothered.

She doesn't voice those thoughts, though. She doesn't want to make Snakey in an even more foul mood than he already is in.

"Snakey, do cheer up!" she hisses instead. "Do you want to go hunting?"

When Snakey remains quiet, she sighs. She is about to say something else, but she senses something.

Grinning, she hurried toward a tree, and looks up. "Hello," she hisses, waving up to the pretty green snake.

The snake looks down at Bellatrix, a little warily. But, she speaks his language. Slowly, he starts to uncoil from around the branch that he is around. He slowly flicks his tongue out, to smell at her.

Bellatrix smiles."I am family. Can you smell that?" she asks.

The snake gives another flick of his tongue. In reply, he starts down the trunk of the tree. When he is on the ground, he slithers his emerald body in a circle around Bellatrix. Finally, he lifts his head and looks up at Bellatrix. "Hello," he says. Bellatrix is a little shocked that he does not speak quite the way that Snakey does, and, indeed, how Casey does. But, she finds it refreshing all the same.

"My name is Bellatrix," she tells him. "Do you have a name?"

"No," the snake says.

"Do you want one? It is just easier for me, if I see you again, you see."

"Alright," the snake says.

Tapping her chin, Bellatrix looks around. Now, she knows, through reasearch, what kind of snake this is. It is an emerald tree boa. And, it reminds her of a certain Fa'e. . . .

"I will call you Nyoko," Bellatrix says, grinning.

Nyoko seems to think on it a while. Finally, he hisses, "That's a good name."

Bellatrix nods, considering it done. "Alright, then. Do you want to come exploring with us? I promise, when you are with me, nothing will happen."

"Ok," Nyoko says.

With another grin, Bellatrix starts walking through the forest again, Snakey and Nyoko eyeing each other, and Casey slithering around head again.

Bellatrix Meets Beldaran. . . . Again.

Alatariel Rakamash
Beldaran sits on a large rock near the landing circle, her eyes are closed and she is feeling the senses of the minds on the isle. She had felt three new ones on teh isle, but they didn't last long, on top of that a mind that had been on the isle for a fair time left the isle, a mind she had not yet totally met. It was these thoughts along with the minds of those who were on teh isle that occupied her as she sat in otherwise silence...

Lenore Slytherin-Natenhar
Bellatrix is on one of her many quests to meet more snakes. She has left Snakey at home, and feels rather strange without him there. He is still sulking, though.

"Casey, he needs to just get over it," she says, knowing the snake Yaaraea will understand her. When he replies, she shakes her head and shrugs.

Ahead, she sees a familiar Pae sitting on a rock. She saw her at the big party thing the other night, right? Shrugging, and thinking it best to be polite again, she waves slightly when she gets into view.

Alatariel Rakamash
While Bel did not see the wave she did feel the approaching mind and opened her eyes Upon seeing hte green Pae she gives a nod of her head "Good evening" she says aloud

Lenore Slytherin-Natenhar
Bellatrix smiles, the same wicked one as always, reaching out to pet at Casey a moment, as she gets closer to the Elder. "Good evening," she says, when she is in front of her.

Still believing it best not to be rude, or anything of that nature, she looks around. "How are you this evening?" she asks, reaching out to pet Casey again.

Alatariel Rakamash
"I am well today" she says with a nod looking a thte snake for a moment then back to Trixie "You are too I presume?"

Lenore Slytherin-Natenhar
"I am alive, I suppose that is enough," Bellatrix says, smiling again as Casey slithers around her shoulders. She watches the spirit snake a moment, before returning her gaze to the woman before her. "I'm sorry, my name is Bellatrix," she says, holding her hand out to her.

Alatariel Rakamash
"I'm Beldaran" Bel says taking the young pae's hand in her own, she thought the size of hte young pae was... interesting, she herelf could never remembering... THAT size....

Lenore Slytherin-Natenhar
Bellatrix takes Beldaran's hand in her own, and gives her a firm hand shake. "It is a pleasure to meet you, Beladaran," she says, eyeing Casey once more.

Adjusting her skirt, she looks around for another rock. She finds one, and gestures toward it. "Do you mind if I join you? I don't know if you want to be alone with your thoughts, or something."

Alatariel Rakamash
"You may join me Bellatrix, I am never really alone in my thoughts so company will not be any difference" she smiles and nods her wings fluttering a little

Lenore Slytherin-Natenhar
Bellatrix nods, and lowers onto the rock. She looks at Bel with her unblinking gaze, and sighs a little. "I am afraid that I might understand what you are feeling. But, I am curious. . . ." she pauses a moment. The last thing she wants to do is anger an Elder. Yeah, they would be horrible enemies to have. . . . "What did you mean by what you just said?" She asks, letting her curiousity take over.

Alatariel Rakamash
"I've been part of a family circle if you will since I was still an egg, like my sibblings I can touch this familiar link without trying, and hear any unshielded thoughts without trying" Bel explains though at this point does not reveal her Elder powers

Lenore Slytherin-Natenhar
"Interesting," Bellatrix says, though she finds herself wishing that she knew a way of sheiling her thoughts. She's not familiar, no. But, if she had the ability to see everyone's unsheilded thoughts, she wouldn't tell. It would be a valuable weapon.

But, she has confidence that most people are not quite as bad as her. And, in that line of thinking, she is sure that by some moral code, someone with that ability might feel that they need permission before delving into a stranger's mind.

She hopes she is right, because some of her thoughts are not very nice ones.

"I can sort of relate. I feel the presense of my family on the island," she explains. "And, sometimes, I feel them so strongly that their moods effect mine." she turns toward some of the folliage, and smiles. "There are two snakes in there," she says, gesturing to the leaves before the trees. "Having a nice chat about . . ." she listens. "What they ate for lunch a few days ago."

Alatariel Rakamash
Bel laughs "Sounds like an interesting conversation, Sheiling the thoughts that enter the circle aren't much good though, it just... muffles them a little for me" she sighs and looks up at hte sky for a moment

Lenore Slytherin-Natenhar
Bellatrix taps her chin a little, smiling in her wicked way. "I don't know. Unless you like to listen to people talk about the lovely art of digesting. . . ."

She looks toward the bushes. She knows one of them. "Nyoko," she hisses.

Immediately, the emerald tree boa's head peeks out of them. When he sees Bellatrix, he slithers toward her. She lowers her arm, and he wraps around it, slowly winding his way to be around her shoulders, flicking his tongue out to smell at Bel. "This is Nyoko," she introduces. "She's Beldaran, Nyoko."

"I am curious," she starts, leaning forward in her seat and petting Nyoko's head. "And, you know, if I am prying, just tell me. But, what is this circle you speak of? And, who's in it?"

Alatariel Rakamash
"It's a circle created by my father, it's basically a familial link between us, we can share thoughts and images, and communicate over greater distances, as for who is in it, that would be my mum and dad ... Estra and Sol, my brothers Signis and Darius, and my Sisters Polgara and Talaris, oh and my sister in law Myze" Bel says and nods

Lenore Slytherin-Natenhar
Bellatrix nods, making no physical indication that she even knows Signis, and as she has never met any of the others, she doesn't have to fake that.

"Well, that is good, in case you ever need to get in touch with any of them," she says, smiling again.

"Your family sounds as big as Lenore's," she says, keeping her shuddering to a minimum. "I don't know how either of you can keep up with them all. . . ."

Alatariel Rakamash
"My family is very large actually, There are times I wish those within the circle would keep their minds closed to the circle though, Mother and Father are the best at that really, but... at the same time, too much stuff leaks through the cracks... " she nods and looks towards Bellatrix once more...

Lenore Slytherin-Natenhar
Bellatrix actually winces when she says that, and looks away from Bel. She can only imagine some of the thoughts that might have come from Signis. . . .

Oh s**t. . . . Her stomach lurches a little.

Well, she won't the the one to bring it up.

"Well, perhaps you could speak to them about it?" she offers. "I mean, if it bothers you, it would be best to get it out in the open. I can only imagine the . . . erm, headaches it would cause."

Alatariel Rakamash
Bel smiles "There are worse things to give me headaches, Though I do admit my brother's mind is a conflict of both petty squabbling with my other brother, and quite ..... romantic thoughts for another.... sometimes it can be interesting"

Lenore Slytherin-Natenhar
Bellatrix blinks, and then lowers her head into her hand, groaning. Yeah, way to go Signis. She makes a note to tell him to shut his mind the HELL off when with her. It might only muffle it, but it was much better than having whatever he is thinking voiced loud and clearly in Bel's head. "I can only imagine. . . ." she says in a rather pained voice. She continues to absently pet Nyoko, and sighs. "Of course, I am assuming that you know who this Pae'il might be. . . ." She looks up around her arm at Bel.

Well, if Bel has a problem with it, she isn't appologizing for it. What is between Signis and her is there, and it isn't going anywhere any time soon.

Alatariel Rakamash
"Of course I do Bellatrix, and yes I would appreciate you asking him to do that... I don't need to know his inner most desires for you" Bel chuckles. While her brother may highly disapprove of Sig's actios there wasn't much Bel could do or say herself...

Lenore Slytherin-Natenhar
Bellatrix groans again, and moves her other hand up to cover her face, actually squirming a little. "I'm so, so, so very sorry for anything that crazy man has been thinking," she says, in a rather soft voice.

She can't seem to say anything else, she is just thinking about another row she might be having with Signis the next time she sees him. If she has to, she will beat his brain into goo. . . .

Alatariel Rakamash
"Now now, my brother needs his brain, just needs to smarten up" she laughs "And try not to be too hard on him, I believehe told Darius he wasn't hte fighter type anymore and he'd gone weak"

Lenore Slytherin-Natenhar
Bellatrix peaks out from between her fingers and looks at Bel. "You wouldn't know it, the way we carry on," she comments.

Then, her eyes go wider. "Sorry. I just had that conversation with him about our private lives being private. I didn't say that." Well, if you could call the fight they had a conversation. . . .

Finally, feeling like an idiot, she lowers her hands, placing one on her thigh, and the other resumes its petting of Nyoko. "I promise not to hurt him. . . . Too much," she says, her wicked smile once more on her lips.

Sighing a little, she says, "I have heard much about Darius," although, most of it is not favorable. She cannot say that she wants to meet him, particularly.

She waves that off, pretty sure that Bel caught it. She sits straight as Nyoko moves to her lap, and coils there, watching Bel.

Alatariel Rakamash
"I'm certain everything you have heard has been tainted by their arguement, neither male is too pleased with each other right now" Bel chuckles and turns her gaze on teh small snake Hello Nyoko, you are well I presume she spoke to the snake in it's mind

Lenore Slytherin-Natenhar
"I'm sure," Bellatrix agrees, but still thinks that she does not want to meet him. . . .

Nyoko lifts his head up, hissing a little when he hears the voice. He hisses his response, though he is thinking it as well, "As well as can be expected. . . . I am assuming the same can be said of you?"

Bellatrix chuckles a little, content to sit back and listen to the conversation for now.

Alatariel Rakamash
Bel nods to trixie Well as one might hope with all that has been happening lately she peers at Bellatrix, the young Pae was intriguing to say the minimal least

Lenore Slytherin-Natenhar
"Strange things?" Nyoko hisses, lifting his head a little more.

Bellatrix raises her eyebrows, and peices together some things from what Nyoko is hissing.

Alatariel Rakamash
Not really strange persay... more the light in the sky, all the new comings and goings of minds on the isle, and family issues that keep cropping up she shrugs

Lenore Slytherin-Natenhar
"I am sorry for the issues," Nyoko says, a polite snake, it seems. "Are the new minds bad things, though?"

Bellatrix leans back a little, closing her eyes and listening to the hissing.

Alatariel Rakamash
New minds are fne, it is just something to get used to she chuckles You seem content Bellatrix she adds to the Pae

Lenore Slytherin-Natenhar
Nyoko does his version of a nod, before resting his head back on Bellatrix's lap.

The Pae opens an eye and looks back at Bel. "Ah, sometimes, listening to all of the hissing makes me sleepy," she smiles, a little appologetically. The appology soon leaves it, though, and it is back to the wicked normalcy.

Alatariel Rakamash
I know the feeling She speaks and then stretches then brushes the cloth of her dress "I suppose I should return to my lover, I'll just have to remember to come here a little quicker when I sense the return of the minds I have curiousity about"

God dammit!

Anyway, I met another Pae'il. One of these Elders, I believe. She didn't look like us. Her name is Beldaran, and she is Signis's sister.

Apparently, she knew a bit about me.

She can see thoughts. And, her family is part of this big circle.

I left feeling a little violated, to be honest. She saw some of what I was thinking. And, I don't like feeling so naked.

But, I don't hold that against her, for some reason. She seemed alright, showed respect toward Nyoko. Even held a conversation with him. So, no bad blood between us.

But, I will need to ask that Signis be a lot mor careful about what he thinks about me. . . .

Back To That Again. . . .

Signis came home as I was sunbathing. When I got back to the cave after seeing Beldaran, I just felt like I should.

He brought me these beautitul bracelets and a necklace. They are so detailed! Each link is a snake, circled and biting their tail.

But, apparently, these were special peices of jewelry. He asked me to be his "girl."

Now, I have already said that if he asked me again, I was going to say yes. The truth of the matter is that, yes, I care very deeply about Signis already. And, yeah, I love him. That's scarey as all hell to me, really. And, I still can't bring myself to tell him again.

But, I also said that I would put up a fight, even if it was just for show. This one was not. The sun had made me stupid, and I was panicked. I went off on him again, but he went off on me even more. I mean, I liked now he got, it was exciting. He got pretty rough, which I do not mind one bit.

In fact, I need to make a note of frustrating him more at some point. . . .

So, now, I am strapped with a boyfriend. How did this happen? When did I go so freaking soft? As I have said, I have seriously given up on trying to stop this, where Signis is concerned. I will just have to get used to me being soft.

Anyway, I won't tell him this, but, I am not going to fight him if he moves all of his stuff in this night. In my eyes, this is his home, now. Crazy, how things change in a few days.

I had better go. I am going to try to not overthink this whole thing, or I might just get panicked and ruin it all.

I have been spending most of my days away from the cave the past few days. I have been wandering the forest and visiting Casala. I am still helping her get that temple back into livable conditions.

I don't know. I have offered to have Lenore come and help. I mean, all Lenore would have to do is wave that wand of hers, and the temple will be as good as new. But, Casala just gives me one of her small smiles, and says, "No, thank you." To each their own, I suppose. I think I would get frustrated. . . .

I am still trying to talk her into plumbing.

Nothing much has been going on, really. I met another Pae'il. Briefly, however. He didn't seem to know where he lived. How can you NOT know where you live? Oh well. I did my nice thing for the next few months, and I pointed him in the right direction.

I had best go. Not much to report. . . .

What Kind of Name is Voldemort?

Bellatrix is reading in the study when she hears the pop. Sighing, she just goes about continuing reading. If Lenore wants to speak with her, she will find her.

And, find her she does. Not even ten seconds after Bellatrix heard the noise does she look up at the entryway to see Lenore standing there.

With another baby. Sighing again, she marks her page, and sets the book aside. "You got another one, then?"

She studies her caretaker, and quirks an eyebrow. She hasn't ever seen her like this before. Lenore's usually perfect hair is sticking up in odd places, as though she has been trying to pull it out all day. Her heavy-lids look heavier over her eyes than usual, and her clothes are horribly wrinkled.

"What's wrong with you?" Bellatrix asks, not a hint of concern in her voice.

"I need you to do me a favor," Lenore says, a little uncomfortably.

Bellatrix's eyes narrow. For the first time, she notes how Lenore is holding the baby. She isn't cradling it, like she does Bedtime. She has it away from her body, and her pinkies are up in the air, as though she finds it disgusting.

"I reserve the right to say no," Bellatrix says, eyeing the baby now.

"I need you to take him," Lenore says, and hurries forward. She shoves the baby in Bellatrix's arms, and jumps back, eyeing it now.

"Nuh uh," Bellatrix says, shaking her head. "I don't think so, Lenore. I am not taking care of this thing. It's yours."

"I can't do it! I have tried, there is no way for me to do it!" Lenore says, her voice strained and high-pitched.

"Why?" Bellatrix asks, looking down at the baby in her arms.

She blinks, shocked, when she sees his eyes. They are scarlett, and have a serpentine quality to them. Quite like Lenore's. And, he has no nose, just slits for nostrils. . . . Much like Lenore's nose. . . .

"He looks like you," Bellatrix comments. "What's the big deal, Lenore?"

"He looks exactly like my father, alright!" Lenore shakes her head. "He even has the name he has adopted. He's, in essence, a miniature of him. But, with pointy ears, wings, and a tail. I can't bear to even look at him. . . . Bellatrix, please. You won't have to provide for him. I will still take care of the both of you, I just can't have him around me."

"What's his name?"

"Voldemort," Lenore says, not looking at him anymore.

"Odd name. . . ." Bellatrix says, looking down at him again. He just looks up at her, with those oddly evil eyes, and a frown on his face.

"If he is anything like my father, he is going to be a handful. And, he will understand you when you hiss at him," Lenore starts. "But, the two of you might get along."

"Why do you say that?" Bellatrix asks, frowning. She looks up at Lenore with her unblinking gaze.

Sighing, Lenore starts pulling off the long, fingerless glove she wears on her left arm. She shows Bellatrix the inside of her forearm, and she actually blinks. "You have one, too?"

"Yeah, something I am not proud of. And, this means he wants to see me, so I have to make this quick. . . ." Lenore says, hastily pulling her glove back on. "He puts them on his followers. He's pretty horrible. He kills people just because they aren't of the right blood." She winces at the admiring gleam in Bellatrix's eyes. "No, it is not something you are supposed to like! Forget it. Will you just house him?"

Bellatrix shrugs. "Fine. Before you go, you should make him his own room. . . ."

"Fine," and with that, Lenore leaves the room.

Bellatrix looks down at Voldemort, the wicked smile on her lips. "I think I might have fun with you, Voldemort. . . ."

He smiles a smile up at Bellatrix to rival her own.

It's a mystery how these things happen, really. In one moment Bellatrix is curled up on a comfy pile of pillows, with Voldemort actually taking a nap on an assortment of more pillows, and the next...

The soft pop of someone, or something, magically appearing inside the cave announces this most odd of deliveries, if it can be called that. Upon what was an unoccupied oriental rug now rests two winged stuffed animals and a sheathed sword.

The two bears look much like the cave's current occupants. So much so, it's a wonder how they came to be so. Those who can sense magic will feel power emulating from the weapon. Ripples of dark energy cascade out from it, seeking out its master and calling for him, its draw deceivingly gentle and beguiling.

Gifts?

Bellatrix is slow to wake. She had heard the pop, but doesn't want to deal with Lenore right now. She is too sleepy. . . .

Giving an annoyed sigh, she opens her eyes. Alright, Lenore isn't in here. . . . She pushes herself up into a sitting position and stretches, pulling her arms high over her head, and bowing back.

More awake now, she steps down from the bed, pushing aside some of the pillows that make up the matress, and starts toward the stone door of the room. Once she is in the hall, she walks to the room next door, the new room that Lenore made for Voldemort.

She blinks when she steps inside. On the rug, she sees three new items. Frowning, she walks over to the stone crib rising from the stone floor, and looks inside. Lying on the pillows is Voldemort, but he is squirming. He keeps batting the bars with his long, already-spidery fingers.

Quirking an eyebrow, she leans down and lifts Voldemort out of the crib. She then walks over to the items. Two bears, obviously one fashioned after her and another after Voldemort, catch her eye for the briefest of moments. It's the sword drawing her attention.

When she looks at Voldemort, she can see that he is rather taken with the sword as well. Frowning, she reaches for the blade, and inspects the hilt. Engraved on one of the snakes, in the tiniest of writing, is the name "Voldemort."

"Looks like you have recieved your first gifts, Voldemort," Bellatrix tells him.

The sinister smile is on his lips again, and he clumsily waves his hand toward the sword.

"Nuh uh. Lenore would kill me," Bellatrix says, and instead reaches for the Voldemort Care Bear. She plops it onto Voldemort's body, and tells him. "When you are strong enough to pick that sword up, you can have it." She picks up the sword, and stands, before walking over to the shelf in the stone wall. She sets the sword, still in its sheathe, on one of the higher shelves, and goes to retrieve her bear.

Voldemort doesn't seem to like the fact that the sword is denied him, and he scowls up at Bellatrix. "That's the breaks," she tells him, and puts him back in his crib. "Time for you to eat, I think. Uhm, just stay there. . . ." she snickers and leaves the room, holding her bear in one of her arms.

She looks down at the belly of it. It has a similar marking as the one that she has on her arm, and the exact same one as on Voldemort's bear. Hmmm. . . .

Thinking about what that could possibly mean, and loving the fact that there is actually a bear that looks a bit like her, she goes to her room. First, she deposits the bear on her bed, and then walks toward the stairs. She has to get Voldemort his blasted bottle. . . .

Signis Meets Voldemort

I think that, as soon as Voldemort starts to speek, tension in the cave will be quite thick.

You see, Signis came home (odd - how easily I can say that), and he met Voldemort. Let's just say that I think the two of them are not going to get along. Voldemort would narrow his eyes every time that he looked at Signis, and didn't like being held by him.

Well, I don't think that Voldemort likes being held by anyone. Understandable. I don't think I would like to be caged in that horribly weak body, either. . . .

Anyway, Voldemort and I recieved some gifts this afternoon, while we were sleeping. I love the bear that I got. It looks a bit like me, so, what's not to love?

Voldemort got a bear, as well, fashioned after him. And, a sword. I have to say, I sort of envy the sword. But, the one that Signis made me is much better, in my not so humble opinion. Prettier, actually, I think that is what I meant to say. I think the sword will serve Voldemort well, however. Once he figures out how to use it.

I have put it on the highest shelf in his room, so that he will not be able to reach it. As much as Lenore seems to hate him, I am not going to take the heat for the little bugger cutting off a finger, or a limb.

Speaking of Lenore. . . . Note to self: When next Lenore comes by, ask her more about her father. I need to get a sense of how he is, don't I? Just in case our Voldemort is anything like her father. I need to know what kind of mess she has gotten me into. . . .

At least he is not all sunshine and roses. . . .

Answers, Please.

Lenore closes the door, as silently as possible, behind her as she enters the cave. The last thing she wants to see is that horrible demonic Pae'il that she has left here with Bellatrix.

No such luck. "He's sleeping, so don't go bolting on me, Lenore," Bellatrix says. She was waiting in the sitting room for Lenore. She knew, somehow, that she would be coming tonight. "Please, join me in the sitting room?"

Sighing, because she knows just what the hell is coming, and is not looking forward to it one bit, Lenore slowly makes her way to the sitting room. Just as slowly, she walks toward a pillow facing Bellatrix, and sinks down onto it. "So, you have decided to be social all of the sudden?" Lenore asks.

"Yes, I have some questions," Bellatrix starts, not one to beat around the bush where Lenore is concerned. "I am hoping that my suspicions about you not being a coward are not incorrect. . . ."

Lenore sighs again, and pinches the bridge of her barely-there nose. She lowers her head and closes her eyes. "You want me to talk about him, don't you?"

Bellatrix is silent for a moment, watching Lenore. Somewhere, deep inside her black heart, she hates that she is going to put Lenore through this, but the rest of her, the more pronounced part of her, is just itching to turn that knife in Lenore's side. "I think I deserve to know what I am going to be dealing with, Lenore. I mean, you shoved him off onto me, and if he is going to be anything like the other Voldemort, I need to know."

Lenore, unlike most of the people in her world, does not cringe at the name. She never has, and probably never will. She won't allow him to cause that kind of fear in her.

After a long pause, she simply nods. "What do you want to know?" Lenore asks.

"I want to know everything. Start from the beginning. . . ." Bellatrix replies.

Sighing yet again, Lenore lifts her head. She moves her amber, serpentine eyes to meet Bellatrix's yellow ones. She brushes the bright green bangs out of her eye, only to have them fall over it again. She lifts a scaled hand to rub at her chin a moment, and then begins to speak.

"Lord Voldemort was born in the year 1928 in a Muggle, sorry - non-wizarding, orphanage as Tom Morvolo Riddle. His mum was a witch, a direct descendant of Salazar Slytherin, and his father was a Muggle. His mum died not long after giving birth to him. She only stayed alive long enough to give him his name.

"Even at a young age, he was mean. He would torture the Muggles in the orphanage with him, and steal their things. Anyway, Dumbledore, gods watch over his soul, went, personally, to invite him to Hogwarts. That's a school for witches and wizards, by the way. I think that he could see what kind of soul Tom had, even at that age.

"Anyway, he, of course, went. And, he was sorted into Slytherin House, naturally. While he was in Hogwarts, he proved himself to be a brilliant student. He made Prefect in his final year. But, even in school, he found a way to harm others. He, as the only living heir to Slytherin at the time, opened the Chamber of Secrets, and let loose the basilisk within it. He went so far as to let it kill a girl there. She still haunts the girl's lavatory that she died in. . . .

"While Tom was in school, he started to take on his new name. It was an anagram of his given name. You see, Lord Voldemort hates any witch or wizard that isn't pure-blooded, and he despises Muggles. Which is ironic, seeing as how he, himself, is not pure-blooded. Anyway, back on point. He didn't like the fact that his mum had given him his Muggle father's name. If you move around the letters in Tom Marvolo Riddle, you get 'I am Lord Voldemort.' He had hoped that, one day, the name 'Voldemort' would strike fear into the hearts of every witch and wizard in our world. And, later, he would achieve that goal. Wizards and witches cannot even speak his name, and freak out if they hear anyone else do so. He is called 'He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named,' or 'You-Know-Who.' Things like that.

"After he left Hogwarts, Lord Voldemort returned to the home town of his father. He killed Tom, and Tom's mum and father, as well. Then, he started traveling. He sank deeper and deeper into the Dark Arts. You see, Voldemort craves immortality and power above all else, and he has spent most of his life trying to obtain both of these. He has great power, and some level of immortality. That is due to all of the expiriments that he did while he was traveling. He changed from an attractive young man, into. . . . well, a monster. I like to think that his physical self now matches that black soul of his. . . .

"Moving along. When he reappeared, he had totally abandoned his given name, and only called himself Lord Voldemort. In the 1970's, he began to gather a following. They called themselves Death Eaters. They were known to each other when they were called to the meetings that he held. All of the ones closest to him are branded with the same mark that you and I have, Bellatrix. In fact, that is what inspired your name. . . ."

Bellatrix blinks. "I am sorry to interrupt, but. . . . Could you explain that?"

Lenore nods. "Bellatrix is one of Lord Voldemort's top lieutenants. He even has a sort of pet name for her. He calls her Bella."

"See, if you called me that, I wouldn't mind the shortening of my name," Bellatrix says, softly.

"I will bear that in mind. Now, to continue," Lenore pulls her wand out of her bag, and waves it. She conjures a large glass full of red liquid. After taking a long pull, she sets the glass on the table in front of her. "Bellatrix is a sadistic b***h, to sum it all up. She killed her own cousin, someone I happened to be fond of, and she has killed numerous others. She even tortured a couple until they went mad."

"A fine woman to name me after," Bellatrix grins.

"No, you aren't supposed to think that!" Lenore says, slapping her hand on the table with enough force to have her glass fly into the air, and the wood splinter beneathe her hand. "You are not supposed to like these people, Bellatrix! Dammit!" She waves her wand at the table, now, and repairs it before cleaning up the spilled blood on the floor.

"Would you rather me fear them, as you do?" Bellatrix says through clenched teeth.

"I am not having this argument with you," Lenore says. Taking a deep, un-needed breath, she continues. "Back to Voldemort. His rise to power was marked by many strange, unexplainable disappearances. And, his reign was one of pure terror. Witches and wizards went home, fearing that they would see the Dark Mark hovering over their homes. That was a sign that those that were in the house were dead. Muggles were being killed off, even as we tried to keep the whole thing on our ends quiet.

"But, on October 31, sometime in the 80's, Lord Voldemort's soul was ripped from his body due to a rebounding curse. He was still alive, in a sense, but not much use to anyone, including himself. Many, probably because it was their greatest hope, figured that he was dead. Only a few wizards were wise enough to know that Lord Voldemort had ways to prevent himself from dying. The time between his 'death' and his 'rebirth' were fairly peaceful. But, he is back, and things are starting to slip back to the dark times that we all thought were behind us. He's slipping back into his old ways. . . ."

"And, those are?" Bellatrix asks.

"Causing as much pain and death as he can manage," Lenore finishes, quietly. Unconsciously, she scratches at her left, inner forearm, where the mark is branded into her.

Bellatrix nods, remaining quiet.

After a long while, Lenore rises to her feet. "Now, if you will excuse me, I need some air. . . ." and with that, she leaves the room, and then the cave.

Bellatrix watches her leave, before turning to look down at the wood of the table. Soon, she is lost in her own thoughts.
