Strega Mama Esiris Bras trigger my dysphoria. Going braless triggers my dysphoria. I don't really have a solution, other than maybe an eating disorder or an operation- which doctors won't do to treat my dysphoria because they don't acknowledge my gender and consider my modifications to be mutilations. what i do is use shelf tank-tops. they give me just enough support for my own aesthetic preferences but dont have the same health consequences as bras. maybe that would be a little better for you? Binding would give me the best comfort psychologically- but it hurts physically because of my chest size, so it isn't very practical.

My girlfriend said "I don't go out without a bra- my mother raised me better than that!" and I felt all conflicted and uncomfortable.

If it's still cool where you are, you can get a feel of it before wearing lighter, cooler clothes. :3 Esiris My girlfriend said "I don't go out without a bra- my mother raised me better than that!" and I felt all conflicted and uncomfortable. Ever since I started wearing a bra, I haven't been able to go out in public without one.
It's just a self-conscious kind of thing. Like "can they notice?" "are they talking about it?".
But when I don't wear a bra without padding I usually just wear a sports bra and everything is fine.
Otherwise I hear if you put tape on your nipples it you can't see them as well through clothing.

Wireless isn't impossible to find, you've just got to know what to look for! -If you're BELOW a B cup, look in the Young Ladies section (large dep't stores) for training bras. They have A's and small Bs available usually, though not using those terms always. Sometimes it is in actual sizes. You might be an XL in it since it is made for kids, but at least you'll be comfier and still a bit uh...Protected? Shaped? Idk. -Google "Bralette" LOOK! This one is like HUGE and still has no wire in it. You can find these anywhere that sells multiple brands of bras and underwear. -Tube tops! I've seen these as low as $3 each in trendy shops. Like, the actual ones that are just a band around your boobs. No straps, so no shoulder pain, just smoothing action. Also helps with low-cut-shirt-modesty because you can get cute ones that have lace over them. I for one absolutely hate bras. And I hate how I look with nothing smoothing my boobs. I only wear bras when I absolutely cannot use my usual method, which is a tight tank top under whatever I want to wear. I have tons of tanktops for just that purpose, since I can't even stand being at home with loose non-rounded boobs...... But that has gotten a lot trickier since I gained weight. B's don't conform to my wishes as easily as A's do. razz

I find that if I go a long time without a bra on my nipples start to hurt and itch. Maybe this is because I'm so used to wearing a bra? I love to go braless at night though sleeping in a bra is so uncomfortable.

DuskMoonFlower I find that if I go a long time without a bra on my nipples start to hurt and itch. Maybe this is because I'm so used to wearing a bra? I love to go braless at night though sleeping in a bra is so uncomfortable. It's probably from your shirt rubbing against them. Bras stay still mostly, so there isn't too much movement along them. Strega Mama i've also been known that for the few i do own, to take a serated knife to them and removing the underwires. best thing ever. i have a small pile of them in a drawer now should i need them for an unrelated craft, and i tell you what, they look like medieval torture devices. thick unbendable metal "U"s LOL Yeah, that's pretty much what they are.

It's crazy how much these kind of social behaviors are conditioned into our minds from such a young age. The other day out of not having time to put a bra I went braless and was paranoid until I got used to it and realized no one really noticed. (At least I don't think they did....) It's easier if your nipples don't naturally stick out, but also- I've realized that the real reason bras are there for the same reason why women never showed their ankles in old times - to prevent the opposite sex from looking at them as being "Sexual". It's insane. Some people will say bras are there so your breasts don't 'sag', but honestly, if you don't care about that and realize that opinion is false, what other reason is there to wear a bra other than paranoia that the other sex is looking at you in a sexual manner? And if it wasn't that way, if women more often went 'bra free', the part of your body-your breasts, wouldn't be so sexual 'looking' to everyone. It's just one big psychological fetish.
And if you're in primary school still? God help you if you don't wear a bra, because that's what 'grownups' do; and boys will tease you for having nipples that stick out in the cold. The main reason why I started wearing one in the first place, actually. As far as I can remember. I wonder when it's going to become more well known that bras actually reduce lymph flow and so contribute to toxins staying near the breasts.
Since that day at the store, I haven't worn a bra since. I probably would in something that 'requires' it - but for the most part, even in plain tshirts, it's all good for me to just keep on not wearing.

Naynram Ukir what other reason is there to wear a bra other than paranoia that the other sex is looking at you in a sexual manner? ....There is always the hope that they will like your abnormally-perfectly-shaped boobs razz It's not all about "oh no they might look at me" Sometimes it is "Here's something to look at" wink
