MEPHISTELLA
She watched disapprovingly at the gathering of creatures, all of them strange and all of them coming from their own paths, for she did not see the crossing roads so soon. So many of them now and all of them promising in their own ways.. but also threatening.
Mostly the Prince. His determination to find the Princess would be troublesome for nothing could distract a Prince from his task as long as he drew breath.. and sometimes even death could not stop him.
The Wizards were trouble as well. Wizards called on the arcane magics and she hated the water that magic so often brought. It could be taken care of but it did not lessen her annoyance.
The Nobleman caught her interest as well. Something about him marked him as an exception of his Noble class and she disproved even further of his seemingly powerful observation skills. He would be trouble.
A smile came to her lips as the maiden noticed the bird and she knew then what actions would follow. She did not need to watch for she knew what reaction the animal would bring and she instead moved to action.
Another mirror came forth before her, summoned in a pale smoke and with a wave of her hand, and she looked deep within its depths until she came face to face with the beasts. She did not need to speak for they knew her mind as she knew theres and instead they took flight, haste of her magical words added to their powerful wings, and the Winged Monkeys rose from the forest and made their way to the party of strangers.
They would be there at nightfall.

In terms of the elves, he was not much younger than the other. It was visible between each other. And yet, he had the nerve to call him a 'boy'? nearing two hundred years was far long enough to never be called a 'boy', except by the Great Spirit, creator of all things. And He did not speak to Jace directly. Now irritated with the older elf, he responds coldly, in a tone so only he can hear.
"My actions are my own. If you would like to learn anything from anyone, perhaps you should learn a better way to address those that you ask. But if you must know, I do not."

"Thought I hate to resort to it, my sword a useful tool that helps me protect others!" Carlton protested.
He was still watching Kira worriedly, and when Tristram bade him to put his sword away (rather late, as it had long since been sheathed) Carlton barely spared him a glance. When he mentioned he could help Kira, Carlton laid her down and backed away.
Then the Halfling woman (quite comely, if Carlton were one to notice such things... which he was- but in the most proper of ways, of course) approached with sultry words and Carlton was taken aback.
"I, well, madam, I think the nobleman is taking care of miss Kira. May I help you at all, though?"

Kira gasped at once, the pain now nearly completely gone, and she found herself the center of attention from all those she had met, and another she had yet to introduce herself. She was shaky, and her cheeks were wet with tears brought on by some kind of pain but.. she could not remember.
"I-I'm fine." She managed to say, trying to put both the Prince and the Nobleman at ease. "Really, I don't know what came over me. I'm so sorry. Thank you for your concerns.. I really don't know what came over me. "
She smiled to both the Prince and the Noble gratefully, flashed an apologetic glance to the cloaked man, and then she rested her eyes on the halfling once more...all thoughts of the bird and the mysterious feeling it inspired gone and she grinned in delight.
"Aren't you just the sweetest thing!"
Kira leaned over to be at a better vantage point and speak to the halfling face to face.
"My name is Kira, what is yours?"
Truly the halfling woman was the most adorable creature she'd ever seen and she couldn't help but beam her bright smile to her even as she wiped away tears of pain.

Cronos sighed slightly, he had much patience but his mind flowed with so many things that he often forgot that patience should be applied to a situation. "My apologize, but we both being elves, I find it hard to see if your 100, or 1000." he exaggerated of course but he felt it would get the point across. "Is she a victim of the slumber?" In his absent mindedness he forgot that The Slumber was a term he himself invented to describe the 100 year long sleep, and that few others were intelligent enough to connect the name with the most likely event.

adorable!
Him, adorable!
He would have preferred drunken men hitting on him, than the woman he'd just tried to carry away calling him adorable.
Full lips pursed, and an angry look overcame pretty features. "I am not adorable," she muttered sulkily, voice sounding, as always, female and now with a pouty tone to it.
His mood did a quick around-about when she leaned over, giving him a nice view... "But I forgive you, my dear! I am Lelain."

Jace pulls the elf to the side, as everyone was distracted with the Half-ling.
"Ahh, so you are aware of it. It seemed that I were the only one. Yes, I do believe that it is, though I know not what your pet could have done to cause her pain like that. Even more interesting, is if it's because of us being elves. So many things to consider..."
You almost couldn't tell that Jace was upset with the man before him. At the mere mention of the 'sleep', he immediately went off into his own thoughts. Just his knowing of it's existence was enough to share information. Though, as he went on, it was almost as if he were alone, and speaking to himself.
"Could it be my age? The fact that I'm an elf allows me to live far beyond their means, and reach years they could only dream about. Then again, it could be completely unrelated all together, attacking only a small area. I could simply have not been in the area when it happened..."
He then turns back to the man, with a confused look on his face.
"Oh, terribly sorry. What was it you wanted again?"

Carlton was taken aback by the vulgar words spilling from the pretty Halfling's lips. His brows shot up in surprise, and he physically recoiled slightly. "Pardon, miss Lelain?" he asked, confused. "Did something upset you?"
The Halfling woman seemed to be staring at certain attributes of Kira, attributes which were extremely inappropriate and improper to stare at. Carlton blinked, befuddled and beyond reason and slightly unsettled by the Halfling.

Cronos rubbed his forehead, this would be hard, this elf was just as forgetful as he himself was. "I don't believe it is our ages that have allowed us to escape the effects of the slumber. Perhaps more of our location. The elves ancient forests are beaming with magical energies, the likes of which many mortals could only dream about. Just being there is believed to strengthen our spells and......look now you have me spacing out in conversation. Perhaps our homeland formed a type of Magical cocoon that shielded us from what ever caster used the spell." Cronos glance back over at the others, while at the same time multitasking by listening to there conversations and his own.

"But I was cast out of my village, before it started. If that were the only factor, the I myself would have amnesia. Surely it's something else, but I can't quite put my finger on it..."
He starts to twirl some water around with his finger, attempting to focus himself further, searching for an answer.

"Were you out and about the very day that everything froze?" Cronos was becoming increasingly interested with this conversation. He hadnt really had a good talk with someone for a very long time, it was quite refreshing. "If you witnessed the very moment that everything froze, then that puts a new spin on everything."

"I will admit, though I was among them, I was asleep when it happened. I awoke to what appeared to be lifeless bodies. At first thought, I believed they were dead. That was proved false when their bodies would not decay. Like a form of stasis. Their muscles didn't even atrophy. Could you imagine tha pain that would have caused? I mean, awakening after not moving for 100 years? It would lead one to believe that they would be cripples, bringing the word to a new level. But, as you can see, they are as lively as ever..."
There was some disappointment in his voice. But, it was not right to want them back in stasis. Besides, he may not be so lucky as to avoid falling asleep next time.

Well this was something indeed. The prince seemed at a lose by the Halflings odd personality traits. Ones that Tristram also found intriguing. The Halflings tone and words alone seemed like those coming from a man, but the voice was soft like a woman's. The Halfling was clearly eyeing Kira, in every way imaginable, but still held on to a since of femininity that was hard to keep hidden. Seeing that Lady Nightingale was up and doing fine he decided to try and move the group along.
"My dear lords and ladies, it will be getting darker soon. We should all think of bringing this choir of conversations inside if nothing else. Let us find a table and I will treat us all to a round to help settle our disposition."

Kira wanted to reach out and pinch the dear thing's cheeks but for the sudden outburst which snatched the hand back and brought it instead to her lips as she covered a silent gasp of surprise.
That she was almost immediately forgiven confused Kira, not one used to the wavering of moods of other creatures, and she grew concerned for the Halfling's well being. Kira suppressed a wince of her own at lingering pain in her temple as she addressed the small woman once more.
"Are you alright Lelain?"
If she could do something to help her then it would being her both happiness at the opportunity to help and relief at distracting herself from the troubling head ache.

[ MEDARA ]
"Never been bet-" Medara began. Never been better was a lie - he'd been at his best when he had his real body, but now was a more decent time, regardless of the fact were she inside the bartender would be staring at his voluptuous chest with a lustful look in his eyes (he'd been in that place before, and had liked the ale and nothing else).
"Actually," the Halfling continued, voice a moan. "My head aches... and my stomach is unsettled..." She dropped to a pained whisper at the end, hoping the maiden Kira would take pity on him and hug him -- bringing him in close proximity to her ample busom. (Medara stoutly ignored his own chest.)
