Sabidan looks at the man and leaves him to his fate. He waves his hand at the man, making him believe he is in terrible pain. He looks at Rael and nods. "I'm alright, but their wits and their technology is improving." he says, looking at the victim.

Thaddius

Before his body began to freeze up in a tomb of stone, he said one final sentence, " enemies of man hear me, you have come here to die, its soldiers will strike you down, its war machines will crush under their treads, its guns will bring the sky crashing down on you" those were his last words. There might have been truth in what the angle said but humanity hid well enough from them.

Soon after the angelic beings had left, probes of a different kind came to salvage what they could from the fallen soldiers of man, they took them all including Thaddius his mind was still there and he would be of further use. The probes retreated to a new location hidden far away. Within the coming days, these beings would know the wrath of humanity and would suffer for there actions this day.

In the distance large lines of smoke could be seen leading from the horizon up and into the the sky, nothing more could be seen. Although it was not over clear at this point in time what it was that was flying to the sky, it was not a guide missile. There were rockets that would make there way into space, nothing could be done to stop them. It carried a very large payload, and orbital weapon that would be used against the enemies of man, although no one would see this coming.

While within the human base the scientist and engineers did what they could to scavenge from there fallen and put Thaddius in a experimental piece of technology, he would serve even in death. Probes did record what happened that day and it was used as propaganda to rally the rest of humanity, the soldiers that day were martyrs. Thaddius brain and a few other bits were separated from his body and fused to a machine, he had become a giant war engine, but something was lost. His mind was not the same but he still felt what he did before, the need to protect humanity until his death.

Making their way back to the encampment, Rael sighs heavily as he is forced to agree with his friend. "Indeed, and look what they have done with it. Animated corpses, and turned the living into near corpses waiting for that transformation. Blinded by ignorance and rage, led into a fury to anything 'alien' to them. We and the Horde are the same to them . . . invaders to be eradicated. Such is why we cannot trust them. We are the Light. We hold a view about us, a manner of acting and speaking. The Horde is not so different. Twisted forms that leave little to the imagination, replete with minds to match that sadistic force. Human are ambigious. Those that would welcome our cause are no different from those that wish to see us destroyed. We cannot trust them, and now you have a better understanding why. You reached out to him, and in turn had your hand nearly bitten off."

Rael finally leads them back into the security of camp, but something weighs heavily upon him. Something that the corrupted and imprisoned human said. "bring the sky crashing down on you" has a ring to it that was more than idle threats. The humans are planning something. What is worse, they had set up a dummy warhead- a test launch to test motives. this means that they were launching something, and it was important. Why else see if Celestials would allow it?
"We don't have a great deal of time . . . " Moving over to Degial, he sighs with the weight of a new worry. Still, his voice is calm and complimentary of his beautiful subordinate.

"Please tell me you have a method to push back the corruption. The sooner we can re-introduce plant and animal life to this world, the better."

Degial nodded and afforded Rael a small smile, although his heart was not quite in it, "If the ground becomes fertile, I can finish the plans within three days." It would not be hard for him to beautify an area, even one as desolate as this. Beauty was, of course, his specialty, and Degial was expert in creating it. "I fear..."

Degial paused, eyes clouding. Was there a better way to put this that would not put the humans in greater jeopardy? Degial sighed silently, deciding just to speak his thoughts, "I fear that the corruption of humanity would taint the grounds."

((sorry about my absence today! chorus practice and whatnot. not likely to be online much at all tomorrow, either))

Em nodded to Degial as they passed over the mountains, then opened her wings and flew the rest of the way, the flower still gently clutched in her hand. It sang faintly, being without nutrients and water for so long, it had grown weak. She landed softly on the mountain's crest, over-looking the battle below. She had heard some mention of a missile, but as Rael crashed into the metal shell, there was no explosion. There was no missile at all... within that shell, at least. She watched Rael brighten until she could gaze upon him no more, his light so intense, so revealing, one cannot stare for too long without becoming blinded. The gunshots, the booming voice... All the pain, chaos, malice and anger, she couldn't understand why the humans were fighting so vigorously for such a decrepit piece of filth. The Earth had died long ago, she realized that now, and the only thing that would resurrect it would be the purge that the Archangels speak of more and more often. She feared that the humans would become a smudge of a memory in the minds of the Archangels, though, and this was a thought she did not take lightly.

She looked down at the withering flower, its song growing fainter and fainter. She pet its petals softly and tenderly, then grabbed the pouch from her side, dusting a pinch of the contents on the side of the mountain. She placed the roots of the flower where the powder lay, and instantly they took root, sinking in deeply and searching for food. She removed the water satchel from her belt, sprinkling some water around the roots, and then watched it drink happily while it grew strong and healthy again. She smiled, caressing the petals one more time, then took wing again, descending to where the commotion had ended and the Archangels stood, talking about their plans for this weary Earth.

Thaddius

Within the coming day a portal was found on earth it was from the netherworld and a human base near by was recording what data it could, and the demons seemed to be a larger threat at this point in time. The portal was in south america and a single life form was detect although soon more would follow of humanity thought.

A probe was sent to the celestials base, this one spoke and would try to locate one of the beings from the combat before. Despite what they thought of humanity it was not all so bad, there were decent beings after all, but not in the eyes of the celestials. After sometime it came across one it thought it could speak to, the one that talk to Thaddius.

"Listen to what I have to say, leave Terra at once and you shall pass unharmed. If you choice to stay the heavens will crash upon you" the probe said in monotone voice before it began to hover away. The celestials had some time to leave Terra before humanity would test there weapon on them.

Mean while in an underground base, Thaddius had finished what was necessary to be done to him. His body had been placed into a walking war engine, although some of his mind had been lost and he lived each day in pain but it is what he wanted to be done to him.

Sabidan sighed and disabled the probe. He walked over in the dirt of this destroyed world and picked it up. He examined it for a moment before throwing it at the human base. He knew he wouldn't make it, but he needed to vent.

He sighed, kicking the dirt into the dust. Sabidan turned and walked to Rael, standing and looking at him and Degial, waiting for their orders or suggestions.

Thaddius

"It seems they have made there choice, they do not listen when we offer then a chance it matters not any more" Thaddius said his voice was complete electronic but it sounded deep. He was being fed information from the probe at this point in time it matter not anymore they had a test area located now.

The satellites had enough power for one shot today, they moved to there positions in space and gather the energy they gathered in a microwave beam and forced it all into one of the satellites, enough for one shot at ten percent power. This moment was being studied extensively by scientists and observed by the soldiers.

"Bring the sky crashing down on you", those words from Thaddius mouth were true from this point onward. The cloudy sky was grey and dull until a flicker or light expand and created a large circle of light soon enough the clouds moved away for the time being. Anything under this area began to glow and be lifted into the air, a moment later and bright orange yellow pillar hit the ground. The silence of this area was broken in one loud crash, a massive explosion had just taken place a mushroom cloud rose high into the sky and a massive pressure way slowly destroying anything in its bath. Humanity took pity on the celestial they did not him them directly but where off by some distance. The satellites moved to a different position now away from this area to remain hidden.

Rael again caresses the face of his most attractive subordinate. "Dear Degial, I do not expect a miracle. This was meant as a test. I only expected a small area to be transformed- reformed. In my eyes, the contagion is like a black ooze, smothering the hope of life on this world. I imagine that this experiment is to push that tide away, and allow the world to shine in the Light again, as it once did. Perhaps the humans can be purified as well . . . but of that I have no real hope." At that, the probe comes along, and delivers the ominous warning.

Again, a reference to the sky? That human had said the sky would come down, and now this hideous creation claims the heavens will come crashing down? More than ever, Rael is sure that the humans are up to something. Perhaps this is their idea of mercy- warning of impending attack. Odd that the probe used 'heaven' as part of it's terminology. Heaven was always a place of peace, light, and joy. Now the promise is to tear down that place to destroy 'angels.' Suicidal, corrupt, and powerful. Might as well bear banners of the Horde- if the demonic ones would not slaughter them for fun first.

"Come my friends . . . let us find a small-scale demonstration to test. Once we find a way to make it work, we . . . can . . . oh no . . . " Rael, wary of the sky, was among the first to notice the light change and clouds streak away. The very sky was opening up with pain and destructive force. Fear, all-consuming and powerful caused his wings to flare again as he flew with all speed to his base. No-no-no-no-no!!! My people!!! I set them there, I pushed them into place! Move- damn you to the depths of hell, Rael, MOVE! His mental pleas are not enough. Just at the beam is about to fire, he bellows with all the force he can as he crosses the border of his base "RUN!!!"

But he, the king . . . the one charged with protection of his people, cannot run. Cannot flee. Cannot turn his back on his people. Using all the force he can, all his life that can be spared, he reaches the border of his camp, and dumps all that will into his weapon to form a shield. A wall of light raises, centered on Rael himself as his light goes nearly out- everything into protecting his people. Hold- by all that is holy, this must hold! Beneath him, soldiers flee and manage to escape, at least all those he can find. The force of the blast, thankfully elsewhere in epicenter, reaches the camp, and the shield holds for only a few moments before shattering like glass.

Most of the force was stopped, but enough remained to scorch Rael himself, and he falls in slow motion. He isn't even aware of the fall, the comforting blackness of unconsciousness holding him in a numbing embrace. Rael, King of Celestials, lands in the blown dirt and dust like a pile of flesh, critically wounded, but in the process saved lives of his people.

(Wait, did the Humans shoot Sarra with their Orbital thing or shoot our base?)

Sabidan was flown forward into a wall. It felt like his bones were broken but that's never happened to him. Come to think of it, he never even heard it from an angel. His armor probably cracked.

He slid down the fall face first. He landed akwardly, and fell on his back. He was covered in dirt and...blood? He didn't know. But he knew what he had to do now.

He held out his hand to Rael, lifting him up. "Our people need to be rallied." he said, looking back at the portal. "The Humans will die tonight. This attack will make our people be crying for war." Sabidan nodded to Rael and jumped through the portal over to Sarra.

Degial, still reeling from the force of the attack, shook his wings straight, grimacing at the pain. Around him, countless feathers fell to the ground, merging into the ruins and from them, soft fertile soil emerged, ready for new growth. His indigo blue ichor had watered them, irrigating the soil with its celestial purity. However, Degial ignored this, using his wings to guide him towards Rael.

Degial watched Sabidan take Rael back to Sarra and himself, grabbed Enami and jumped through the portal after them. He must make sure his Lord was safe and well. All other thoughts were erased from his mind.

((Sorry for not being on yesterday sweatdrop ))
