Faili watched the other bolt for better cover, nearly darting after him, though she couldn't just yet, didn't trust herself yet. She stared up at the hawk with fearful eyes, alone in the shadows. Strangely, it reminded her of a tale once told a few times by her Marli, a tale that by now a few rabbits knew of; The one of the bravest doe in the world.
Dewberry
Though she herself wasn't about to take on the hawk head on, she swallowed her fear, calming herself down and limbering up so she could run at any moment. It would do no good for her chances of survival if she was tharn, now, would it? No. She needed her wits, her speed, her trickery she had yet tapped into. She was no longer a kitten, she would one day be an owsla that would protect the warren from harm, putting her neck on the line to keep the other members safe. Keeping her ears out for the hawk, she looked around for cover. And with her eyes, she spotted one; A small hole in that chain linked fence. If that hawk went for her, she could dive under the fence away from the bird. Yes. that was her plan. And from there she would run, run as fast as she could for the longer grasses.

He wasn't listening, didn't want to hear that scary sound of the bird screech. He tried blocking it out, feeling the tharn creep upon him. Run. No, don't run. If he ran the hawk would see. Oh Frith...
He whimpered piteously as he pressed himself even harder against the fence post, flattening himself as much as he physically could.

Bramblebur emerged out from underneath the thorny shrub. His fur bristling, he looked around up at the heavens. His ears swiveled around, giving a stretch, the buck moved to Foxtail. "Frith smiled upon you then. We must keep quiet though, so as to not attract more attention, okay?" He nodded to make his own point.
He sat up on his haunches and looked around. Where had Ginkgo gotten to?

Ginkgo shifted himself through the flay-rah garden, searching... But for who? If anyone had over heard Cocklebur earlier, it would of been obvious. He needed to make sure the two outskirters were alright, otherwise...
Well, otherwise, there went one of his eyes, right? And that would lessen his chance for survival. He was coming upon the far side, now. He had seen a few wel hidden snares and was thankful he hadn't been snagged by one yet. He could smell Faili now, though her scent was faint. Hopefully the hawk was done for now, but he doubted it.

Taxus was padding towards the grain, but pulled to a halt. No. He had been dumb a moment ago with the weasel. He could have run into a snare or attracted the weasel's attention. He wouldn't rush into 'safety' needlessly. He slunk away from the grain, ears back. Instead, he went back to his cabbage and began to gnaw at a large leaf, listening for danger or elil to turn its head.
He looked to his group mate again. He felt so isolated this far from her. He wondered if he should head back. She was young.

BKKKKAW!
A loud noise cracked through the air, followed by a booming voice.
"WHAT IN THE BLOODY 'ELL IS GOIN' ON OUT 'ERE?" The dog's barking certainly had caught someone's attention. It wasn't someone who would side with the rabbits, that was for sure. The farmer stumbled out of his home, pushing past his wife. A rifle was in hand and he had already fired off a warning shot.
The dog was loose. Great.
He stomped angrily across the yard and suddenly noticed the rabbit.
"GET'IM, BOY! If there's one, there's bound t' be a million more where it came from. Ida, think we're 'avin' rabbit stew tonight!" The overall clad, portly man made his way towards the garden, searching for any trespassers that might be about.

Bramblebur jumped at the thunderous crack that sounded through the air, his eyes wide and searching. That definitely didn't sound like a storm. Barking dog and now a man was out and was alerted to their presence. Oh, things were definitely turning sour fast. He looked to Foxtail and over to Zelkova. "We need to get into some thicker cover and find out where Ginkgo went. Quickly. Step lightly and keep your wits about you. We can forage as we go find him."

With that warning shot, Faili was off. She made a beeline for that small hole in the fence, darting out and watching for any signs of traps and elil as she darted. She streaked across the green preying to frith that she would get to that shelter before the gun was on her.

Suddenly something was around Faili''s neck, dragging her backwards and slicing tightly around her neck. It seemed the outskirter had found one of the many snares set up around the garden.

[Edit!]
The moment the gun sounded Crow jumped from his hiding spot by the fence and fled. He'd had quite enough of the farm and everything on it, to be sure. Scampering across the open ground, he searched for Ginkgo, or Faili, or anybody at all he knew. He caught sight of his sister and raced to catch up, but suddenly she wasn't moving. He hurried over to her, his heart thumping loudly as he skidded next to her.
"Faili! Faili we need to go!"

Foxtail squeaked at the bang, nodding nervously at Bramblebur’s words and ducking low in the hopes that he might not be seen. He’d never encountered a man or a dog before, but he had heard the many scary tales that the storytellers told, “Ginkgo can’t be far. Do you think he’s all right? We should stay together. Foraging isn’t so important now”

Hrrrk!!!
She cried out in a strangled gasp, recoiling back into the dirt, something sharp and cold biting into her neck, like a frost, almost. Oh Frith! What was this? She tried to get up, finding she couldn't, the thing at her neck restricting her movement. Oh, she knew what this was. She knew well what it was. A snare. It had to be. She choked, staring around wide eyed to find the wire. What had her mother said before the raid? Traps, poison and elil. The biggest things in a farm.
Though wasn't there a story attached to a snare? That's right, the peg. There's a wooden thing. Chew through and you're free. And she had so little time! That cold had been quickly replaced by a burning heat, and she scrambled to find the end of that shining wire, scratching blindly at the soil it was driven into. It was her only hope, and she wasn't going to waste it laying there clueless.
So many things flashed through her head as she scratched away, her vision growing blurry and strained, yet her determination would keep her awake, hopefully long enough to survive. The sound of Crow in her ear gave her more hope.
"Dig, Thlayli, dig!" She hissed at him, insinuating his head was filled with fur, desperate for help.
