Raiel flinched when she spoke through their link, it had been so long since he had heard her speak to him that way and never expected it to be with such confusion. Yes? he replied, not bothering to move from where he was or even turn to look at her, he was hurt and worried and needed to collect his thoughts, he kept them from Raith when normally he left his mind open to her, but he didn't want to fill her with even more confusion. "Let me fly you someplace safe." He said aloud, looking over his shoulder at her.

Raith was shocked and completely taken over when he did reply. She's longed to hear his voice in her head. She looked at him with wide eyes from where she had her eyes on the rocks below... 'Raiel...I'm sorry...I'm so sorry....' her eyes began to water, 'Please..please forgive me. I didn't mean to forget...I didn't mean to lose my memory..I should've kept more control...I-I...I...' she tried to go on but tears merely fell from here eyes and down her dirty face. She swallowed hard... "Please..." she mumbled, hoping he didn't hear a break of any kind in her voice. She took a small step toward him, stumbled slightly but fought for footing and balance.

Raiel turned quickly, moving to steady Raith. "Hey now, stop that." He said softly, the hurt in his voice easing slightly and turning to worry. "It's nothing you could help." out of habit, he pressed his lips to her forehead and closed his eyes, remembering how good it felt before he exhaled and took a step back. "Let me take care of you now." He said, worried for her well being. "Your wounds need to be treated."

The dragon only nodded as he spoke of her wounds and needing to get her somewhere safe. The mountainous region was dangerous for the human kind but also for the dragons when they are hurt this badly. If Raith tried to go flying, she could easily end her life by hitting into a rocky side of a mountain or something... Anything could happen..
"Raiel..." she spoke softly, closing her eyes when he kissed her forehead. Things were rushing back into her memory insanely fast with every move, every gesture, every word they made. "..is the house on the valley safe still?" she asked softly, slowly losing all balance and footing she had as she took a small step towards her mate and fell into his chest, lacking all strength to stand with the amount of blood loss.

Scared little Rabbit... →→→ Please drop your [F r i g h t]! →®ÅíεL← Raiel transformed beneath her touch. She was no leaning against the chest of a huge black dragon. He wrapped his neck around her, pulling her close before laying his stomach onto the ground so she could climb easily onto his back. He'd help her if he had to. I'm not sure, he admitted, It should be, most of the humans followed me and the other dragons here into the mountains, lets go. Raiel spoke into Raith's mind, his large dragon eyes never leaving her. Her breathing soon enough became shallow and light, her conscience leaving her body slowly. She was gonna pass out again soon enough. Gathering all strength she had, she climbed onto the dragon's massive back and tucked herself between a neck ridge and the base of the back, slowly and carefully laying herself down, 'I need that lake...ple-...' she replied softly before losing her conscientiousness and blacking out once more, her head becoming a massive pain on her body.
Raith no longer felt like someone hit her on the head with a 2by4, but rather now rammed her head into some steel thing that hurt like ever. She couldn't stand her migraine before and she can't stand it now, even hardly even being there.

Scared little Rabbit... →→→ Please drop your [F r i g h t]! →®ÅíεL← Raiel pushed off the ground as gently as possible, his massive wings holding up both him and Raith. He glided along silently through the air, heading back to their old home. He tried to move as little as possible, as to not disturb Raith's sleep. It was some time before he reached the cabin, but flew past it, heading to the lake. He landed with a splash in the shallow water, a rumbling echoing through his body as he tried to gently wake Raith. He wished for her to sleep more, but he knew this was what she wanted. Raith slowly sat up, hardly awake as she felt about Raiel's back to find her way down before simply just falling off his back and into the deeper end of the lake below. She sunk under the water for what seemed an eternity as she fell deeper and deeper under before finally opening her eyes and kicking up to the surface. Breaking water's edge, she gasped for air before sighing when her lungs felt better and were full of pure clean oxygen.
She looked around. The area looked different to her although it may not have changed one bit. She couldn't remember. Looking up at the huge black dragon there not too far away from her, she made her way over to his front leg that was closest to her. Going up to the strong limb, she pressed her body against it and rested there for some time before pushing off a bit and kissing it lightly, "Thank you..my love." she spoke softly before making her way back and wading further and further in.

Scared little Rabbit... →→→ Please drop your [F r i g h t]! →®ÅíεL← Raiel watched her intently as she swam, ready to go after her if he needed. When she swam back to him, a rumble sounded in his chest, almost like a cat's purr as she clung to his leg. He let himself sink deeper into the water, closing his eyes and wondering if she really remembered. Reaching out with his mind, he touched hers in an attempt to comfort her. It was okay if she couldn't remember. They could make new memories. As long as she was safe, Raiel was happy. Running doesn't stop the pain, →→→ Or turn the [d a r k] to light.

She was starting to get some memories back. Not all, and not little ones. But the main ones, yes. She remember when she and Raiel met. When they came here for the first time together. When they mated for life. Raith remembered when they decided to attack the humans and free as many as they could. She remember a lot of huge things that had happened..but she couldn't remember what had happened to her... "Raiel.." she asked softly, feeling his warm touch through their bond.
She stayed on the edge where the shallow went deep and dripped her hands into the water, cupped it, and splashed it onto her face, trying to get as much blood off so she could find the wound and how bad it truly was.

Scared little Rabbit... →→→ Please drop your [F r i g h t]! →®ÅíεL← Yes? He asked, turning to look at her, water rushing off his face as he lifted it out of the water. He grumbled in disapproval as the wound, mad at himself for ever leaving her alone, for letting her get hurt. Anger bubbled up inside him and he couldn't bare to look Raith in the eye. it was his shame. Being a neglectful mate. He wondered why Raith would ever want to return to him after he'd let this happen. Running doesn't stop the pain, →→→ Or turn the [d a r k] to light.

She turned and looked at the dragon, "What happened to me?" she asked in her voice, knowing he could understand her. Turning back around, she shed off her shirt and used it as a washcloth for her forehead, going back to sit with her mate. Raith felt his shame..his anger towards himself, 'Don't feel bad Raiel..I hardly ever listened to you as it was..you told me to stay away, I did the opposite. Please don't beat yourself up over this...' she sat down at his foot and leaned against it, looking straight ahead so he wouldn't have to feel like he needed to look away..

Scared little Rabbit... →→→ Please drop your [F r i g h t]! →®ÅíεL← That's just it... Raiel said, even more ashamed than ever, You did listen to me..you stayed away from me and that's when you disappeared. I had no clue what happened. Raiel shifted his massive body slightly. He closed off some of his mind from her, not wanting Raith to feel his pain, anger and shame. I went looking for you, I went to where you were staying and there was blood, lots of blood, it was a mess. I thought the worst, but I didn't stop looking for you... Raiel still refused to meet Raith's gaze and looked hard into the distance, his eyes seeing nothing as his vision was drowned in memories. Raith felt horrible.. from just between his words that he told her to feeling him block her out...she felt absolutely horrible, 'I can't remember a thing...just this massive headache that still won't go away...I don't even know how long I've been away from you...how long has it been?' she asked through their bond with sorrow and curiosity all mixed in her voice as it softly rang in his mind.
She looked up at the massive black with sad eyes, feeling terrible for the pain she put him through.. did she even fight back? Did she try to? Did she go willingly? What happened?! It was killing Raith that she didn't know. She normally knew every detail that happens to her or those around her. And now she doesn't... It was killing her from the inside out and Raith honestly wanted to just simply know. Was it those bastards from the Dragon Museum? Or just hunters? She had absolutely no idea, and apparently neither did Raiel...and it hurt him the most... 'I'm sorry Raiel...' she whispered through their bond, just hoping for some forgiveness for all the pain she had caused...

Scared little Rabbit... →→→ Please drop your [F r i g h t]! →®ÅíεL← A few weeks.. Raiel admitted, his chest rising and falling evenly as he was pulled back to the present. He turned his head to look at Raith, sadness filling his eyes as the moved from the wound to her face. Don't you dare say sorry. It was my fault. I should have been there to protect you or you should have been with me where I could have kept you safe.. Raiel told her before turning away again. The sadness that swelled in his chest was a constant pain now. He had failed to keep his mate safe, what kind of Dragon was he? He didn't know and figured he didn't deserve to find out.
