Legends shouldn't count, since they are no longer a creature type.

The_Other Well, seeing as this has turned into a discussion about how insane we can make our creatures given any number of cards, try these on for size people: Spikeshot GoblinWojek Wojek Embermage + Sword Of Kaldra Jaya Ballard + Razor Barrior Dark Depth's + AEther Snap Darksteel Gargoyle + Worldslayer Most of my decks don't have much to do with creatures, but these have proven themselves able of getting slack jaws in a game. My two favorite BIG creatures are: Krosan_cloudscraper,
which was recently reprinted in Time Spiral, and Darksteel Colossus.
Now, this next one is one of my favorite combos in the game. Put it in a life gain deck, or just don't take too much damage before you play it.

it would depend on the deck, and deck user, for instance, my elves have over powered every dragon and sliver deck i have come across, and my insects can win in numbers......

If you think about it, toughest to me, means hardest to kill....so either Dawn Elemental, Simic Sky Swallower, or good old Darksteel Colossus take the cake in my book.
I mean ignore damage is good....but Dawn Elemental is only a 3/3.
SSS is awesome, a 6/6 flyer with trample that cant be targeted by spells or abilities....rivals Akroma as most rediculous creature ever, in my opinion.
The Darksteel Colossus is a real pain, 11/11 trample and indestructible....but no "real" creature type.

If legendary creatures count as legends I would have to say legends. My basis for this is that because being legendary is considered a draw back, they are able to make cards that should cost more but they don't because of the legendary draw back. If they don't count, I would have to say atog, becasue of Dr. Teeth.

Legato Death What type of cards are the touhes in the game magic before Samurai other cards in the game.Any others good cards but these are the best.
Am I misstaken or do you actually think that the toughest creatures in the game are the Samurai?

You know the magic food chain right? Dragons on the top followed by Kavu, and then everything else. My first deck was a kavu deck and against A dragon deck (That I was told was the best deck in town) my deck trounced the dragons time and time again. so for my money, the kavus are the best.

I love reading this thread.
for toughest creature, people start naming comoboes (I did it, i admit to it)
But then people start naming straight enchantments or artifacts to deal with problems, or win games. I.E. battle of wits. Which, great though it is, it's not a tough creature.
some of the threads in this guild do give me the giggles.
