"Police will always be after us, blaming us every chance they can get. I'm used to it now though, it's just like a cliche action movie....." Rogue smiled. She had a place that she felt comfortable enough with now, thank god. "I guess you're right....Man will never change." Her eyes lowered. But then again, we're not the only non-humans running around now-a-days...... She thought darkly, not caring if anyone else heard her. They had a right to know too, but unless anyone asked, she would keep silent.

Zoe looked around at the others, thinking about how they must have felt about their lives. "you know, wer still humans. just were a little different." Zoe said, trying to cheer up the others.

"The things that go bump, dont like it when i bump back. But yes we do have other things to worry about besides the police and the linch mobs out there. Trust me the one thing you guys really should be afraid is not whats out in those woods but those who are supposed to be protecting this country. The military are the real monsters now a days, if your not careful and get carelessly caught by them you will understand what i mean. With all that said we are still humans i harbour no ill will towards any other that has done me no harm and will fight to protect any who ask or are in need."
With that Striker lays his head down and slowly relax's his body to get some rest. Scooting next to the girl with blood red hair Striker gets close enough to share his body heat as he slowly falls asleep.

Terrion sheathed her swords and leaned back on the smooth rock wall of the cave. Staring out into the snowstorm, she lost herself in memory.
Wind whipped her black hair around, leaving it to stream out behind her as she sprinted through the spring meadow. Tears cascading from her eyes, she let loose an almost histarical laugh. Free!
Later that night, the small child huddled under the moonlight. Her large, almond shaped blue eyes gazed up at the stars, glimmering with unshed tears. She felt cried out and alone. She should never have run away like that, but now she was lost and alone. Tears left streaks on her dirty little face. Ill and alone, she sat in the moonlit clearing, sobbing. Alone.
Terrion snapped back to reality and quickly scrubbed the tears from her cheeks, hoping that in her dream-like state that she hadn't sent out the little snippit of memory to her companions.

"yeah, hes right. its the military's fault were being hunted. and i know, they've caught me before. i don't like talking about it, but i guess where going to be traveling for a while." She pulled up her sleeve to reveal long thin scars climbing up her arm, "they did this to me. they hit me with i don't know what, i was blind folded and alone. they only sound was my screams." She pulled down her sleeve. "i thought i could live among the humans after i was fine, but they found me." tears weld up in her eyes. "it was horrible. they were so cruel, like i was some kind of dangerous animal with rabies, which wasn't fully true." she said, the tears spilling down her cheeks, then dripped onto the dirt floor. She stood and whipped the tears from her eyes and cheeks. "its my turn to sit sentry." and on that note she walked over to the girl sitting sentry. "its my turn, get some rest." Zoe turned to a wolf and sat, watching the snow fall. snow... such a wonderful thing... she thought aimlessly. she couldn't smell the police. that's a good thing.

Rogue closed her eyes, hugging her legs to her chest and burying her face in her knees. "I'll take second watch..." She murmured as Zoe changed into a wolf and took her position at the cave entrance. Rogue soon lost herself in her own thoughts. Expecially that night...
The sight before her froze her to the spot. She couldn't breathe, her chest had contracted so tightly that it was squeezing the breath out of her. Instead of the tall buildings of Kailas, and the park where she used to play as a little girl, piles of ash were in their places, tall as the buildings that used to stand there and covered an area as large as the city.
Realization hit her like a punch in the gut by a pro wrestler. It was the city. "No....No, no, no, this isn't happening!!!" She ran forewards, feet kicking up ash and dust everywhere. "Kaien!!! Mom!! Dad!!!" She screamed. The wind started to pick up and the mountains of ash exploded everywhere. It filled the air and her nose, making it even harder to breathe. She couldn't give up......Her family never did on her. She wouldn't on them. She had to go on.
Rogue's eyes snapped open and her head jerked up. It hadn't even been an hour......She sighed, leaning her head back to the wall. I wonder.....If you guys were still alive.....Mom, dad, Kai......Would you still be proud of who I am??

Zoe sighed, looking at the snow. snow your so lucky, everyone likes you the way you are... unlike me and my new friends. Zoe curled up in the middle of the entrance and fell asleep.
she was in a dark dank cave, alone. no fire, no noise except her breath and a moaning... "wheres the moaning coming from?" she thought as she walked farther into the cave. She screamed when she saw the nightshade surprised her. "im sorry sir, i was just wondering what happened." she said. The man stood, he was handsome with shappy black hair, and neon blue eyes. He bent low, ready to pounce when long claws came out of his fingers. "sir im not here to steal or hurt you" She said, putting her hands up and backing away. He growled. Zoe tried shifting to a black panther to run, but she couldnt shift. "come here human im hungery." ge said human hungrily. "but im not human im a nightshade" she said, still backing away. She turned to run when he pounced and tried to rip out her throat. She screamed.
Zoe woke with a start, screaming. im such an idiot! She thought to herself. She looked out the cave entrance to see just the snow and the trees. she looked behind her to see everyone looking at her. "oops" sweatdrop

After hearing the scream Striker jerks up and pulls his sword close. Looking around he realized that it was just one of the girls having a nightmare. Rubbing the sleep out of his eyes Striker sits up and looks over at the wounded girl to see if she was awake yet. Noticing nothing different he looks over at the girl/wolf sitting at the cave entrance. Picking up his blanket and walking over to the mouth of the cave he sits down next to the girl/wolf.
"Dont worry about the military, around these parts they are to scared to come out and try and get anymore "Specimens". I have dealt with them, the only worries here would be the monsters and there not to much i cant handle. I was part of the military before nightshades were discoverd, once they figured out what i was they stripped me of my rank and threw me into an 8 by 8 foot cell. Then they would take me out and perform tests on me to figure out my limitations and if they could duplicate and or control me. I broke free and killed all who were in control of that facility, releasing all who were in the nightshades control area. I know what you went thru i was apart of it too, if you ever need to talk just come to me. Ill finish your watch why dont you go curl up next to our wounded friend, by the way my name is Striker."
Leaning up against the wall Striker wraps his blanket around himself and looks out into the snow.

"its still my watch. i was just thinking and i dozed off. go back with the others striker, i really want to finish my watch." Zoe said, looking at Striker with pleading eyes. "and i was tested on. they thought i was going to be easy to tame, but i wasn't, i was about as hard to tame as a wild fire, so they hurt me. i finally broke free and went after all who hurt me." Zoe said, tears forming in her eyes. "i was an animal, but i over came my anger and went to search for my brother Ben. Zoe knew he wouldn't change his mind about taking her turn. "fine, ill go and see what i can do for our unconscious friend." She said stubbornly as she stood and walked to the girl with blood red hair. She pulled out a canteen of water and opened the girls mouth and poured it into her mouth. nothing happened. Zoe saw the blood matted in her hair. she felt her head until she found the wound, and ripped her sleeve of and wrapped it around the girls head, then laid her coat over her. Zoe knew there wasn't much she could do to heal her. They need food and more water. "im going scouting for food and water, anyone want to join me?" Zoe asked to those who were still awake.

Rogue got up in a kneeling stance when she heard Zoe scream, but the guy, Striker, beat her to it. She curled up again while they talked and looked up. "I'll go with you. There's nothing much I can do here. My powers can't really heal things." She gave a wry smile that didn't quite reach her eyes. She got up and headed out of the cave, raising her head when she felt the light flakes of snow. Snow......Always so beautiful, always so free and light.......Why can't our lives be like yours?? She frowned sadly.

((sorry 'bout not posting in a while, I was back at the hospital yesterday... to get another infusion treatment... hopefully this one works... and i'm one handed right now, 'cause i still have the iv in...))
Terrion woke with a start as Zoe screamed. She saw the guy get up and talk to her. She went back to her thoughts and lost herself to memory again.
A little girl of about four years sat on a tree stump, struggling to lift a slim sword. Its blade was a silver color, but a gold metal weaved around it, creating an elegant pattern. The hilt was a simple black leather, but it still caused the onlooker to blink in awe. There beside it sat its twin, exactly alike in every aspect, but made for the left hand.
Terrion fingered her swords as the little girl faded away, to be replaced by a teenager.
The girl was now about thirteen, her hair long and muscles taunt. She twirled both swords with ease, having trained since she was three. Ten years had gone by since that dreadful night. That night when she had gone and run away from her aunt.
Terrion winced as the one memory returned again.

Flicking his hand to the side to wave off a snowflake that hit him, Striker looks over at the quiet girl and nods his head towards her in understanding. Looking back out at the storm he gets up and puts some more wood on the fire and checks on the wounded friend. Looking over her head he wipes some of the blood off her head and wraps her more securely with the blanket.
"Dont worry about it, nothing none of us could handle young lady. Just remember, try not to do anything that would hurt us."
Smiling he looks over and chuckles a little then gets up and goes back to the cave door.

Zoe looked around once outside. "i smell a small village about half a mile south of here." Zoe said uneasily. "which is good and bad. the good is they have food and water and medicine, but the bad is, is that they also have police." She said, shifting to a black salion, and let Rougue climb on. "once were there, keep your hood up and walk into the store, buy some food and get out as fast as possible. we dont want the police after us again." She said and rode of towards the village.
about 10 minutes later, they were in the village, and she let Rgoue slip off her back and walk into the store.

Rogue slipped off Zoe back and pulled up the dark hood of her cloak and followed Zoe into the store. She immediately headed towards the medicinal section of the store, picking out the medicine needed for the other girl. Her hand hovered over each one, scanning which one would be the most useful.
She picked up some food and drinks and headed over to the counter. She picked up movement out of the corner of her eye and saw a group of policemen outside of the store, standing there.
Zoe?? We need to hurry up now.
