Ellandra was thoughtful as they walked, but after a few moments she couldn't help but ask what was on her mind. "So you ... really like my books, do you, Faolan?"

"Yeah, they're alright," Faolan answered distractedly, searching the shelves for something that piqued his interest. He'd only half heard what she said.

The brunette sighed, her eyes taking on a bit of a downcast look. She recognized that Faolan was distracted, but the words still stung a little bit - just alright? Oh well, she probably shouldn't have hoped for more than that. She stepped aay from Faolan and went over to another area of the fiction section, deciding to let him browse on his own for a few minutes while she got her head straightened out.

Fao's head gophered up over the shelf to look at Elle. "Where th' hell do they keep your books, love? I'm lookin' an' I cannae find them." He blink. "I'm an idiot. Never mind. I was lookin' under Grady." He ducked back down to resume looking.

Ellandra squeaked and almost fell over, she was trying so hard not to giggle. "Alright, alright, Faolan, I'll start writing with my real name so it'll be easier for you to find my books when we go shopping, mmkay?"

"Okay," came Fao's reply over the shelf. He found her books and grabbed the ones he hadn't read yet, plus a few from other authors, and trotted back to his wife's side.

Ellandra looked at Fao's choices and couldn't help but smile. "Faolan, are you buying those just to flatter me? If so, it's working."

Ellandra smiled and picked out a few books herself, from areas other than the mystery section. "Ah, so you just married me for the option of reading my works before everyone else, right?" The tone of her voice and the sparkle in her eyes was a dead giveaway that she was completely and utterly teasing her husband.

"I didn't know you were tha' writer. I mean, I'd forgotten," Faolan said, shrugging. "Wouldnae mind readin' th' books first if you let me, though."
Sam reached a hand out, putting it on one of the books Elle had written and cooed softly, an almost knowing look in his eyes.

"I know you did, Faolan," Ellandra said, smiling more gently now. "I do wonder though - did you wonder what had happened to make that author stop writing, hmm?" She looked down at Sam as the infant touched one of her books and blinked, then looked to Faolan with very wide eyes. "Faolan. . . look. . . is he already. . .?"

"Figure she was just workin'. Lots o' authors take breaks between books," Faolan said, shrugging, then looked down at Sam. "I suppose he can already use his ability some." He stroked his son's orange hair.

"Already?" Ellandra asked, a tone of wonder in her voice as she took in the orange-haired infant's actions. "But he's still so little. . ." Bel, sensing vaguely that Mama and Daddy were paying attention to the Other One, waved a fist around a little.

"I was pretty good at sensing things when I was an infant, too," Faolan said, stroking Bel's hair then giving her his finger to grasp.

Bel took hold of the finger offered to her and crossed her eyes trying to focus on it. She had attention again. All was well. Ellandra smiled softly as she looked at her babies. "They're so little ............ but growing so much, so quickly...."
