You know your in band when
-you can spot major and minor chords in popular music
-Band camp is not an American Pie Reference
-you get a box full of candy every week that says "BAND" on it.
-you sneak juice into the stands.
-you sing loudly your part on the band bus. then proceed into songs on which your instrument would play if you had that as a song in band.

When all the sentences you write for english that use spelling words involve marching bandXD
Yes, a kid in my band did this this morning. note half the words were out of context, but our band name was in all sentences but the second to last. He had about 10XD

-you sing loudly your part on the band bus. then proceed into songs on which your instrument would play if you had that as a song in band. except for us it's soda/food/edible & drinkable stuff that is to be sneaked into the stands > w < i always stash food and drinks in my hatbox and or flute case i found that i can fit one bottle of soda or two cans of soda in the pouch of my flute case ^ ^- kitty is always happy

daximn you know you're a band nerd when... you start a Marching band role play with a friend and actually expect people to join. or when you think of drawing a manga about marching band and imagine it becoming popular in the future i never got around to actually drawing it so don't ask. i am horrible when it comes to good story lines.

You can never remember anyones birthday, but bring up dates for performance on que.
You best friends are in band.

You go for a walk and you end up marching.
You highstep to your classes
You name your saxophone "Saxy Bby"("sexy baby", george named it |D)
You take your friends dog and move it like you do your instrument during the band cadences.

When there are maybe 2 videos in your entire youtube history that aren't marching band shows. When you find wrinkled pants hilarious (So one of the clarinets at a game last year, his uniform pants were soooo wrinkly and I dunno, I just laughed until I almost cried. They looked like he wore them out in the pouring rain and then wadded them into a ball and threw them in the corner to dry). Okay, maybe that's just me... Sweet Suicidal Princess You highstep to your classes Wow, that's hardcore. I could never do that. Too many freaking hills on our campus.

If band member's are walking together in groups or by twos, 95% of the time we're all in step, and if you're not in step you situate yourself to be in step because of how odd it feels.
" When you can skip in step.."
" You constantly find yourself roll stepping and marking time when you're just standing still"
" When someone tells you to do something with your right foot first you scream " NO! I CAN'T DO THAT! NOT NORMAL!!!" One of our Sax players is in dance and had to do something with the right foot first, I though the was going to die.

You know you're a band geek when...
-you wear dinkles to a funeral
-you wear dinkles as everyday dress shoes
-band camp is the highlight of your summer
-you don't want marching band to stop
-you are inspired to right a poem at the sight of your new uniforms
-are ticked when you can't go to a football game because of the weather
-are ticked that a competition is cancelled because of the weather
-still play your old show music
-download show music into your mp3 or ipod
And many, many more!
I am guilty of most.... biggrin
