I Currently got into wicca and wish to learn more about it before I Fallow it completely.
I just got sick of the Biblical Christian religion.. the type that punishes all those who think differently, or are just different in general. I stumbled into a book on Wicca and began reading it. I enjoy the belief and the openness of it, and since I wanted to learn more about it.

moon_the_angel_of_hell moon_the_angel_of_hell Nothing about black or white magic in there...is it? I wasn't talking about magic being black and white...you fail to understanhd. What is your lineage then moon, you can give me that without any breaking of your oathbound to your coven. (and I do not mean give me given names, that would be breaking your oath to your coven) I don't belong to a coven because of my living conditons. How long have you been practicing Wicca then? which Tradition do you follow? I've been a wiccan for 6 years now so I'm still learning, which I don't mine. I believe in reincarnation and if you're Wicca, you should be following the LORD and the LADY not just one specific god. That one god is my deity, my teacher... Age is an important part of the question as well, unless you're over 18/21 (depending on your location and/or the coven) you will not be initiated. I am over 18 Why don't you follow the Lord and Lady? the lord and the lady they are just not my deities. Christians are well aware that there are other religions besides their own, some just don't acknowledge that they exist. Not really, a lot of the christians are blind sighted. And how is changing the energy around her not changing Wicca? your main belief is to follow the Lord and Lady. she's not changing wicca..she went power wise...not everyone has to believe in the lord and lady Ok let me put it this way Moon, since you totally messed up my whole quoting you thing. I will say this once again, you didn't put it in black and white, you barely did a minimal recap of Wicca for something that doesn't understand anything. Books, and the likes, will only tell you Outer Court info. If you're not in a Coven that can trace lineage back to Gardner, you're not Wiccan, you're a neo-pagan/solitary witch and that is fine. I just don't like people spreading lies about being Wiccan then they aren't. Next point. The Lord and Lady are the two main deities for Wicca, if you do not follow them (and since your not in a Coven...I understand that better) then you cannot call yourself a Wiccan. I am also glad to hear you are over 18, at least you're not one of those teens who thinks they are cool by being "wiccan" stare I will say it again THE TWO MAIN DEITIES IN WICCA ARE THE LORD AND LADY...IF YOU DO NOT FOLLOW THEM...YOU'RE NOT WICCAN!!! @who149: Go {here} and look back a page or two for my first two posts...they will have quotes in them. One is full of three quotes that talk about Wicca, the other gives you a good reading list for you to learn a bit about it, Paganism, and about Witchcraft. I will also add, there are only two True Wiccans on Gaia...Scorplett and Morgandria...anyone else that claims to be Wiccan without proving Lineage is lying and looking for attention. I am not Wiccan, but I know a good deal about it, I am Neo-pagan.

My last thoughts on that.
I understand that when I want to explain wicca I should do how I usually do and acually EXPLAIN wicca
I am solitary...but I'm acually with two others. But do not call myself a NEO-PAGAN....
I do not worship the Horned God and Goddess.
I said that the Lord and Lady are not my major deites, for now, I'm trying to learn more before that, but I do believe in them. I know there is a lord and a lady...
I am a Wiccan. I'm acually looking for a decent coven, ...living conditions..
I will remain with my one deity, for NOW...he is my teacher....
Like I said, I'm still learning...I'm not claiming to be all knowing..
Thank you, for your information and wise words...I will and shall take them to heart.

Like I said in my post above...I'm not getting back on the topic. Why hate him? He has a good point. I'm a wiccan, more of a solitary wiccan though. I don't group myself with neo-pagans. I believe in the Lord and Lady, but I want to learn more, I crave as much knowledge as possible, before I say they are my major deites

Ya and know i can add ichigio to my death wish list along with alaois, there both people i wish would get hit by five cars on a freeway one of these days stare

Wicca does nto just have to be only the lady and lord it can be any number of other gods and godess and the word wicca is only defined through each and everyones thoughts and beleifs
wicca is diffrent from all other religions becuase it offers endless possibilitys

freaking hell, Wicca is what Gardner said. If you do not follow what Gardner said, and change it, You're not WICCAN. And unless you're in a Coven, the names of the Lord and Lady are secret, if spoken outside of the Coven, it is considered breaking your Oath which is quite punishable in the eyes of Wiccans. And The Lord and Lady Are you true God and Goddess in the Eyes of Wicca. It isn't that hard to understand. You said it yourself Moon, you're only learning and even consider yourself a Solitary Witch (you have to be in a Coven to call yourself a Wiccan, a coven that can trace lineage back to Gerald Gardner...) 'Fluffy Bunnies' everywhere...GAH!!! Once again, I will refer you to the {Wicca FAQ} where the two initiated and only Wiccans on Gaia post. (Scorplett and Morgandria) Until you prove lineage, which can be looked up, you're not a Wiccan. And since you admitted to being a Solitary...there ya go. @Illusion: L2research again before you start agreeing with Moon. And please, go play jump rope in a 4 lane highway. You dont have to worship the lord and lady, nor do you have to be able to trace back to gardner
so long as you follow the main beleifs, ideas, practices and morales of wicca you are wiccan, you dont have to beleiev in the lord and lady

That is like being Christian and not believing that Jesus Christ died for their sins rolleyes You have to be 18/21 (depending on location and coven) to be Wiccan Illusion, because of the sex rituals that are performed within the Coven. If you're not in a Coven you're a Solitary Practitioner/Witch, not a Wiccan. I once again refer you to the Wicca FAQ which can better educate you, since my quotes a page or two back haven't seemed to do that.

anyway im out, since i really dont care much for fighting over this
its rather pointless actually, everyone has a diffrent definition for certain things so she is wiccan in her own right, to you she is not, and yet another person could disagree with both of you and sill be woccan, so long as they believe in almost all of the beliefs of wicca

...Wiccans follow the Lord and Lady (and we honestly do not know if it is the Horned God or whatever the head Goddess is suppose to be, if we did the person would be breaking his/her oath to the coven).
Read the Wicca FAQ...I cannot stress that enough...
