"Is that right? What do you plan on becoming?" He was actually curious, trying to see which of the boys he would have preferred Lee to get involved with, more for the sake of knowing than anything. At least at this point, Rory had one up on the boy, having already had work experience. It didn't hurt that Lee loved him and not Jeremy, either.
Lee bit her lip happily, jumping in her seat a bit with excitement. "Thank you, sir." She kept herself from kissing him in front of her parents before working on her second slice.

"Nae problem," Rory said, resting his arm on the back of her chair comfortably, a silent declaration that she was his as he stared at Jeremy.
"I was thinking of taking up banking after college, sir," Jeremy said, ignoring the "I hate you" look Rory was giving him.

"You don't say... Bankers can make good money." Hm. Well, they were tied now. Still ignoring that Lee had already picked which boy she wanted, he wanted to see which was the better catch. "Are you still seeing that girl Lee mentioned earlier?" What was the point if he was already taken, right?
Leaning in closer after wiping her face of any extra cheesecake on her cheeks, which she likely had as quickly as she'd been eating, Lee whispered into Rory's ear, "You're cute when you're jealous." Giggling softly, she may just find Rory's pouting endlessly amusing.

Rory just made a soft rumbling noise in his chest, not liking at all the reasons Jeremy was here.
"No, sir, we broke up a few months ago," Jeremy answered, feeling that his chances were getting better.
"How long does it take t' become a banker?" Rory asked.
Jeremy looked at the other boy, a little surprised at that. "Well, I have to finish high school and then there's college."
"An' in all tha' time, what money will you be earnin', lad?" Rory asked.
"Well, none. My father will be paying for college and housing," Jeremy told him. "And when I get my degree, I'll go into banking."
Rory gestured a bit with the hand not currently around Lee's shoulders. "So, this degree is guaranteed t' get you a job?"
"And my father's influence," Jeremy answered.
"So, you'll be making money in--what?--five or six years? Maybe more?" Rory asked. He looked down at Lee. "Startin' t' think workin' at th' stables wasnae a bad idea after all. Can already afford t' spoil you." He looked at Jeremy pointedly. "Wi'out me da's help on funds. You got much money saved up? Already plannin' on buyin' a house?"
"Well, no. All that will come after college," Jeremy replied, frowning.
"So, you're essentially poor right now?" Rory said.
"That's not what I meant," the other boy answered.
Rory just grinned. "Nae, I get what you're sayin'. You're sayin' a stupid pikey such as meself has got more money o' his own, his own home, a good solid job, an' th' girl you want. Well, I feel a lot better about bein' invited now."

Lee covered her mouth, stifling laughs as best she could. As bad as she felt for this kid, she had to admit he deserved it. What made her mood even better was the sulking of her mother at the end of the table. God, she loved Rory...
Mr. Katan couldn't help but smile at Rory's victory. While it was true that the boy would be making more eventually, Lee was perfectly happy now, and he wanted it to continue that way.
Everyone seeming to have finished their dessert, Lee bit her lip before turning to her father. "Rory and I were gonna go swimming. Can he borrow your trunks?" The man nodded, apparently not thinking about his answer as he agreed to let the boy that was... well, doing unsavory things to his daughter see her almost naked. Turning to Jeremy, she smiled. "You can come, too, if you want." She should try to be friendly at least.

Jeremy nodded, hoping his physique might help win Lee over after the pikey had just bad-mouthed him. "I might have to borrow some swim trunks, too, actually."
"Where should w' gae change?" Rory asked, getting up and holding a hand out to help Lee up.

Taking Rory's hand and standing, Lee thought a moment. "I'll change in my room, and you two can take turns changing in the bathroom, I guess." Unless, of course, Rory felt the need to let Jeremy have the bathroom all to himself and he could just change with her. Gesturing for the boys to follow, she led them up the stairs and asked a servant to find two pairs of swim trunks. It was only a moment before the woman returned and handed them over, Lee giving Rory the black and silver pair, and Jeremy the blue and green ones. She led the down them hall and to her room, pointing out the bathroom right next to them.

"Gae on, lad. You can change first," Rory said, gesturing to the bathroom.
"Thanks, I guess," Jeremy said, heading in and shutting the door.
Rory looked at Lee. "Donnae suppose I can just gae share your room wi' you, eh?"

Biting her lip and pulling him inside, shutting the door behind them, she smirked as she said, "Only if you do as little peeking as possible." She was glad the house was so big, somewhat guaranteeing they wouldn't be caught by her parents, who she assumed were still downstairs. Picking up her swimsuit, she started to undress, for once not minding if and almost expecting Rory to watch.

Rory did actually watch as he changed clothes himself. He made a face at the swim trunks once he had them on. "They're a bit big."

Tying her top, Lee turned to face Rory as she worked the strings into a knot. "Here, you gotta pull on... Never mind, I'll do it." Finishing with her swimsuit, she grabbed the drawstrings around Rory's waist and tugged on them, tying them together and smiling up at him. "You ready?"

"I suppose. I feel a bit silly in this," Rory admitted, blushing. "You look gorgeous, though. La, girl. Any chance I can get you t' wear somethin' like this back home?" He headed out of the bedroom to wait for her to finish getting ready.
Coming out of the bathroom, Jeremy felt pretty good about himself. He'd always kept himself in relatively good shape. He looked over and saw Rory there already in his borrowed swim trunks. What the hell did they feed pikeys? He couldn't help but feel like crap after seeing Rory's more toned and sculpted body.

Shaking her head at his "silly" comment, she smirked at his question. "Maybe if you build me a pool, sure." Lee bit her lip, very happy with yet another chance to see Rory's stomach.
Blinking as Jeremy stepped out, Lee wondered how her mother could possibly think he would win her over with a physique like that when standing next to Rory. Poor guy didn't stand a chance. Her pity didn't show, however, and she smiled to him before leading the two downstairs and to the back porch, a rather large swimming pool just behind it. Lee took it upon herself to be the first to jump in, deciding she should show off one of her only real talents for Rory by diving in with the diving board. She just hoped he didn't end up thinking that was the only proper way into the pool...

Rory looked at the pool, backing up from it and sitting on one of the chairs nearby. He was trying not to let his nervousness show, but he really just didn't like all that water around, especially not being able to swim.
Jeremy on the other hand followed Lee on the diving board, not quite as good a diver, but that didn't matter to him. He was in the water with Lee while her boyfriend was sulking on the chairs. "Lee, you want to race?"

Blinking and swimming to the edge, Lee motioned for Rory to join them. "You can't learn if you're just sitting there..." At Jeremy's suggestion, she was torn. Her competitive drive was kicking in, but she didn't want to leave Rory sitting on the sidelines. Cocking an eyebrow, she'd just have to make this quick. "Yes." Oh, he was going down. Swimming to a good starting point, she called out to Rory. "You be the judge, alright? First person to the end of the pool and back wins."
