Ellandra smiled at Lee and tilted her head a little. "I could probably manage paying for whatever you pick out, Lee. Despite what you might think I'm not exactly broke." Pausing for a long moment, she eventually added, "Though I admit it's really more satisfying to buy things with money you've earned yourself than it is to rely on others' money too much. Still, sometime it would be fun."

Lee grinned at the woman, nodding. "Did you have a place already in mind? Cause the only places I shop aren't cheap." She gave the woman an unsure look, shifting a bit in her seat. "Or we could, ya know, just go to a mall or something." Planning to go shopping was almost as fun as actually going. Almost.

Ellandra just smiled at Lee, somewhat caught up in the teen's enthusiasm but not overwhelmed by it. "We'll go anywhere you'd like to go Lee - I'm not picky; to be honest I never really bothered much with understanding fashion and what looks good. I suppose you'll have to help me with that," she said, smiling again once she'd spoken. Lee seemed so very excited by the idea; Ellandra was glad she'd thought to ask her. This might very well be fun after all.

Smiling as she thought to herself a moment, Lee nodded as she made up her mind. "I think I'll take you to the upper districts, then. I mean, I won't expect you to pay for anything I get or anything. You'll definitely have to bring a good amount of money, though." Not only because everything was ridiculously expensive, but because Lee expected the woman to find a lot she'd like. She'd be more than happy to dress the woman up, too, if Ellandra would let her.

"That's not a problem, Lee," Ellandra said with a smile. " Considering that I haven't touched my bank account in almost nine months or so, I'd imagine the royalty checks have built it up a bit more than it had been before. . ." Not, however, that she was going to mention what it had been before. Ellandra honestly never gave much importance to money, and felt that listing how much she actually had stored away was both foolish and vain. If Lee asked her directly, she might tell her, but most likely she'd keep it to herself - though she felt she ought to mention it to Faolan at some point in time, he really did need to know.

Tilting her head, Lee gave Ellandra a curious look, narrowing her eyes. "How famous a writer are you, anyway? I mean, you've been taking a break, right? And you still get paid?" She clearly knew nothing about how royalty checks worked, or anything about Ellandra's writer status.

Ellandra blinked, blushed, and looked genuinely embarrassed for the first time in . . . well, quite a while, especially around her little sister. "Oh. . . I'm, um .. . . I've published a few books here and there over the years, I s-suppose. . ."

Lee smirked, giggling a bit at Ellandra's expense. "Do you think I've read any? Or someone I know has read one of your books?" That would be cool, wouldn't it? To know someone famous. Actually, she already knew famous people, but that was beside the point. To know someone famous that was also nice would be a first, though.

Lee blinked, eying the woman. "Nu-uh. Ellandra, you're such a liar." She smirked, nudging the woman. "Seriously, what's your real pen name or whatever?" She stuck her tongue out, completely convinced she was being teased.

Lee shook her head a bit, furrowing her brow. "But everyone knows who Aria Vandenmar. That's not... It can't be you." That didn't make sense. How would she not know that Ellandra was this famous? How would that have not come up?

Ellandra smiled a little. "Lee, have you ever heard of Aria Vandenmar making any public appearances or book signings; does anyone even know anything about her?" She paused for a moment. "Thin kabout it a bit, Lee. I wouldn't lie to yuou, certainly not about something as . . . . big. . . . as this."

Lee blinked, thinking it over as Ellandra had said to do. Then, the short silence was interrupted by the girl muttering, "You can't be serious... Oh my god! That's--! Oh, so awesome!" She was more excited than she'd been in a while, her face lighting up. She knew enough not to be shouting with the babies in the room, but couldn't keep the joy out of her voice. Ellandra was famous!

Ellandra squeaked. "I - please, Lee, it's - it's not a big deal or anything. . . just. . . I have enough money for us to go shopping, that's all I was really trying to say. . ." Don't scare the writer, Lee, you might make miss mousie scurry back into her safe little hole in the wall.
