"Dumping her in the water will just make her bleed out faster." He said, glancing back at her as he continued to steer the boat.

"I don't know how you caught up to us, but you're- why are you kissing her?"

"It's fine..." Kat paused," I don't even know your name," she seemed amused at the thought, but pushed it away and motioned with her chin for him to come over. "Trust me for once, will you? It's going to be a hell of a ride."

Roxanna slipped into the water ahead of them, glancing up and waiting. "Get into the water. I'll take care of the rest. I use a device, one of the military's more high tech transportation devices, it involves water" She lied, trying to find some way to make the idea feel more comfortable to him without saying something akin to 'I have superpowers.'

Kat let out a chuckle, but it quieted quickly, as the action upset her wound a little much.

Roxanna ignored him, placing her hand on one of his arms, and the other on Kat's, before pulling all three of them below the water surface. There was a sharp rush, an odd change in temperature and buoyancy, and as they broke surface again they were in a backyard Pool, Roxanna's backyard pool to be exact. Roxanna let go of them and walked to the shallow end of the pool, pulling herself out and headed to the phone. "I'm calling the physician, he should be here soon. Bring Kat inside. There are a number of spare bedrooms, or you could lay her out on one of the couches. It makes no difference to me."

"Still going to bind me to the explanation I promised, are you?" Kat stretched out on the couch, but patted her hand on the ottoman next to it, "Sit down, you're dripping on me."

She smiled slightly, thinking on her words now that she had the chance. She settled on a less scary way to lead into the explanation, starting with something easy, "What flavor was it? When I kissed you, what did you taste?"

Not only was Kat bleeding on the couch, the temporary dye she had used to darken her hair was leaking onto it as well. She tilted her head slightly, "How odd. It was a deep enough kiss it should have had a greater effect. I suppose we'll never get to find out the flavor then." She let out a short breath, "I have a very special kiss...and before you make a smart alec comment, I'll have you know I will kick you, and kicking you will make me bleed faster, so don't do it. I can get into a person's mind through a kiss, and depending on that kiss it can be a simple peek to their thoughts or close to full control. Everyone I've kissed has always mentioned a different flavor to it though, which is why I asked."

She assumed by now he was probably sure she was crazy, but she continued anyway. "Their are other people with odd gifts as well. Roxanna travels and communicates through water, for one. As for the bastards hunting me down, they also have abilities. They belong to a group that wants to keep all abilities controlled, and kill in order to do so. I betrayed that group, and I'm now on their kill list." Her lip tilted slightly, "and that's the simple version."

Kat's eyes narrowed, "No, you're not supposed to believe Roxanna can move people through water. It was just a strange government device, hidden in her watered down sundress none the less, that transferred us from sea to pool, dumbass."

"Linc does have powers. He leeches the energy out of you. Why it didn't work on you? I couldn't say. But my kiss was barely function-able so perhaps you have an amount of defense." She still held her slight glare. "I won't argue with you over it. In fact I told you you wouldn't believe me from the start.
