Arabelle merely nodded in response to his thank you, and tried her best to repress another giggle as he put his hair back. It was slightly messy, though probably not any more so than it had been before he'd crashed to the ground. He didn't strike her as a very tidy person, despite the fact she'd just met him. "I suppose off would be the best way to put it..." she admitted. Though words more like mental sprang to mind.
Arabelle was slightly surprised when he had to think to figure out which book she was talking about. "You really should read it at first chance. It's amazing. About so much more than just love. There's light and darkness, and destiny. It's mixed between comedy and tragedy and..." Quickly she cut herself off, realized she was rambling on. It was one of her Ravenclaw traits - the ability to go on and on about a book. "Sorry," she murmured as the blush that had once dissapated returned in full force.

Famine brushed off her response to his earlier comment. There had been worse things from more people, and at least this girl was being moderately polite about it all. Most other people would have ran out by now, though it doubted it wouldn't be too long before this one did, too. A spark of interest began to shine in his eyes as she began to talk about the book, and when she cut herself off, her frowned a bit. "Don't apologize. What were you going to say?" he asked, genuinely curious. The book title and general subject was all that was familiar with him, and this girl's review on it made him want to find a copy quite a bit more.
[[Eugh....]]

Arabelle smiled slightly as he asked her to continue. He was one of the few people that'd listen to her review a book without wanting to tape her mouth shut. Though, deciding it best to not go on for hours on end about one thing, she handed him the book. "Go on, read it yourself. No review could ever do it full justice." She wasn't worried at all what might happen to it; she had two other copies in the case she never saw that one again, or it came back badly damaged. "But...what was your name?" she added curiously. If he was going to borrow one of her books, she had to at least know his name.
((Meh, only moderatly lame >.< ))

The was was once again pleased to see her smile, though he wasn't entirely sure of what he may have done to cause it. Not that i mattered much to him - he was just happy that she was still there speaking with him. Maybe he was getting better with his people skills, but he highly doubted it. When she handed him her book, he grinned again. "Thanks! I'll be sure to get this back to you in good condition." he promised. He had been meaning to read it for a while, but had never gotten around to it because of the other books on his list. He knew that he would get it back to her, he just didn't know when. "Oh! Name's Famine. Pleased to meet'cha." he said quickly, switching the book to one hand and holding out a slightly ink-smudged one to her.

Arabelle shook his hand, her own coming away slightly purple. "Arabelle. It's a pleasure to meet you, Famine," she responded, noting his ink-smudged hands. She tried her best to keep her smile from looking too strained; the fact those hands were touching her book was more than slightly disconcerting. Though she supposed it wasn't just because it was her book, but a book. Either was, it almost made her want to snatch Romeo and Juliet back from him.
Amazingly, she refrained, and glanced upwards at the sky for a momentary distraction that would help her forget his purple hands. She was at a loss as for what to say; conversation was not a well-developed skill of hers. "So...um...it's a beautiful day," the Ravenclaw finally blurted, immediatly turning a light rose color. Of all the things in the world to talk about, she chose the weather. Genius, Ara, she sarcastically chided herself mentally.

Famine couldn't help but feel slightly proud of himself when Arabelle shook his hand, and he happened to glimpse a bit of purple ink on her own hand. He rather enjoyed spilling ink on the hand he shook hands with, just to spread it around. Sometimes they got angry with him, but usually he was able to charm them out of beating him up. Sort of. He was slightly thrown off when the girl looked up, commenting on the weather. Deciding to play along, he looked up at the sky, almost tipping over when he tried to look to far back. After he had thoroughly examined the cloudless sky, and half blinded himself because of the sun, he looked back down at the Ravenclaw. "Sure is. To bad it's gonna rain." he commented airily, rocking back and forth from his heels to his toes. It was right around then when he noticed how lacking in conversation this was. Part of him itched to find someone else to bother, but he also knew that it was rude to walk out on other people. "So, uh. Ravenclaw, huh? Must mean you're pretty smart. Or something. So. Uh. What's your favourite class? I bet it's Charms...because you're charming, yeah."

xxxxxxxx•ĶáŜŝÃňĐŗΆ ♥ κΑÿŁěĚ ♥ ĶñÎģĦτ • Kassie sighed as she wandered the Hogwarts grounds. It couldn‘t have ben a more beautiful day. Bright sunshine that reflected off her golden blonde hair and a cloudless sky that was blue like her eyes. Today couldn‘t be more boring. Class was a drag as usual and she hadn‘t seen anyone that seemed remotely interested in talking to her. This upset Kassie slightly but she didn‘t let it bother her. She continued to think of what she would do, as she continued to roam the ground. Perhaps she would stumble across something to do, or someone to talk to.
