You and I have fought a thousand battles... ((Right, well that covers it. And Guild events also includes Invasions from other villages and possibly things like the Chuunin exams, last time we had them I don't think we had that subforum to put them in.))
Pulling her hand away from the rapidly warming scythe, Amaranth pointed her left hand towards Vicer, her movements still blurring slightly from speed as she prepared another jutsu, firing another silver orb towards her foe, though aiming at his arm this time, trying to reduce his ability to hold onto her scythe. Stepping forwards quickly, the short ninja begun a small kick, knocking the scythe out of the ground in an attempt to make her opponent fall. Sweeping on of her arms in a quick arc, Amaranth fired a second Aging Shot, the silver orb striking a tree beside Vicer and making it rot at an immense rate, the wood quickly crumbling before it collapsed under its own weight, the tree trunk quickly falling and casting a shadow over Vicer as it descended towards him, the moss coated wood dripping with water....And we will fight until time dies and the Shadow is triumphant!

The attack was once again to fast for Vicer to dodge, so it hit his arm. He felt a weird sensation through his arm, but kept holding onto his opponents weapon. As the scythe was lifted from the ground, it unbalanced him slightly, but the shadow above him worried him more.
To try and use the scythes freedom to his advantage, he planted his back foot on the ground, and jumped into the air, doing a back flip with the the burning hot scythe flying through the air, slicing straight through the weakened tree. The tree split up and moved past Vicers body, which was still in the air. Still moving through his flip, he implanted the tip of the scythe into the ground, so the staff stayed perfectly vertical.
The student landed on the top of the staff, crouching down on top of it, "You... hav-e a good weap-on." he complimented her. At the moment, she had no opening, she seemed to be moving at superhuman speeds, so there was not much he could do, other than wait for his time to strike.

Dropping back into the normal flow of time, Amaranth sighed as Vicer dodged the tree, the cut edges of the wood visibly rotting where the scythe had sheered through it. Though annoyed that her student still held her scythe, Amaranth still agreed with him on that fact, "Yes, the scythe is quite good isn't it...? Well balanced, good blade, perfect size for me. And I would like it back." As she spoke, Amaranth quickly prepared a small amount of chakra, a quick series of handsigns following before she held out her right hand towards her scythe. Stopping on one handsign, Amaranth built up the chakra until there was a silverish afterimage of her scythe in her right hand. With a final handsign, the jutsu activated. "Sugi Toki No Jutsu" She stated simply, the scythe shaking under Vicer's feet before suddenly moving, pulling itself out of the ground and spinning through the air towards her outstretched hand, the sudden movement hopefully enough to unbalance her foe for the second attack. As the scythe reached her, the large ninja stepped forwards, grabbing it out of the air and swinging the weapon to cut through the fallen tree, taking a small chunk out before smashing that towards Vicer with the shaft of the scythe....And we will fight until time dies and the Shadow is triumphant!

Vicer stood his ground as it wobbled slightly, keeping his feet on the Scythe. 'That was it? he thought just as it flew straight from under him, back into the air, straight to its masters hand. He was lucky in that he was already off balance, had he been sitting like he was, the shaft would have gone straight into his crotch.
Being off balance caused him to be able to dodge moving shaft, landing with yet another flip, landing straight on his feet like nothing had happened, with nothing but a large tree flying towards him.
He stopped holding back and let his Chakra flow, straight out of his body, igniting it with a very sharp spark, causing an explosion around his body, causing the tree to ignite and sending it back at Amaranth. He quickly made the hand signs necessary for Flame Shot, he whispered it to himself, planning on using it as a secret attack. He raised his arms as he felt 4 balls of fire leave his arm, moving a small distance behind the tree, hoping to catch her off guard.

You and I have fought a thousand battles... Pulling back slightly as she saw the tree she had attacked Vicer with was now engulfed in flames and flying back towards her, Amaranth watched for a moment before unleashing another jutsu, a silver pule of energy blasting forwards from her palm and striking the tree."Toki Myaku No Jutsu." The tree stopped, halting suddenly in mid air once the pulse hit it, the flames around it eating away at the wood for a moment before a large explosion filled the air, cracks and flames spreading through the wood despite the trees complete lack of movement. Quickly retreating backwards behind a large tree, Amaranth released her previous jutsu and felt a large rush of hot air as the tree finished exploding, flaming pieces of wood blasting past her, a rapid series of dull thuds echoing through the wood as several massive splinters struck the tree she had hid behind. After a few seconds had passed and the sounds of splintering wood and the initial explosion had faded, Amaranth moved out from behind the tree, glancing around the charred area to look for her foe once more....And we will fight until time dies and the Shadow is triumphant!

When Vicer saw the tree stop suddenly, he scratched his head, "Wh... What?!" he slipped out, stumbling on the first note, 'That's a crazy jutsu... he thought, before he remembered he was in a battle.
Be ran towards where his sword should be, which luckily it was still left in the ground. He picked up and held in front of his face. 'Now... Where are you...' he thought as he scanned the environment, 'She doesn't seem to fast, so she must be somewhere in front of the explosion...'.
He saw her step out behind a tree, so he sent a small amount of Chakra through his weapon, heating it up. Not wishing to waste an opportunity, and since she seemed to be better at a distance, he charged at her, his feet only making slight rustling noises. As he got close, his front foot implanted into the ground, stopping his full momentum, putting it all into his sword swing.

As she saw her foe, the short chuunin built up her chakra, preparing another jutsu and quickly making the required handsigns before her foe arrived, his blade seeming to glow slightly and the air around it distorting with the heat. Calmly finishing off the jutsu as Vicer swung his blade at her, Amaranth finished the final handsign before vanishing, the words "Toki Kutou No Jutsu" echoing through the air behind her. Time stopped, the air taking on a grayish tint as the jutsu took effect, everything but Amaranth frozen in place. Calmly walking around around Vicer's outstretched blade, Amaranth placed a ring of exploding tags around his location, hoping to trap him once she ended her jutsu. Walking away from her foe, she released her jutsu, flames springing into life on the exploding tags and quickly burning along the fuse....And we will fight until time dies and the Shadow is triumphant!

Vicer could have sworn his attack was a hit, but him feeling nothing and seeing no-one in front of him, confused him allot. He expected to hit something, most likely a block of some kind, so the shock of hitting nothing sent him off balance, sending him into a spin.
He stopped himself and looked around, he could not see his teacher in front of him, but he could hear a large amount of sizzling around him. He saw he was surrounded by explosive tags, each one having half of their fuse's burnt. He could survive this much power, since it was mostly fire, but he still didn't want to feel that pain.
With his sword still being held, he lowered his hands, the flames on the fuse began to waver, stopping the rapid burning of the tag. "Fla-me Drain..." he whispered to himself, he kept his mouth open slightly, as he breathed out heavily, getting out as much air as possible. As he whispered his Jutsu, the fires around him stopped burning, leaving just a smoking pile around him. The energy of the fire seeped through the hair, into his awaiting mouth. A quick breath and he had absorbed all the chakra, a small amount seeping out of his mouth, leaving a trail of energy leaking out the sides.
The student put his spare hand back to his weapon, gripping it tightly. Searching for his opponent.

You and I have fought a thousand battles... Amaranth frowned slightly as her exploding tags were rendered useless, small trails of fire flowing from the now extinguished fuses towards Vicer's mouth, where he appeared to... eat it? With a slight shrug of her shoulders, Amaranth thought for a moment before grinning slightly, beginning to dash towards the lake even as the smile formed on her face. Reaching the water, the redhead ninja continued to run, focusing chakra into her feet to walk across the surface of the lake, her fantastic control of chakra allowing her to easily cross without stumbling. Standing on the surface of the lake once she was a few meters away from the grassy shore, Amaranth turned to face back towards the trees, spotting her student standing around in a clearing, looking around with sword in hand.
Closing her eyes, the pale ninja recalled a jutsu she had seen earlier, focusing her chakra and making some handsigns, perfectly replicating the actions Kenji had used in their fight. First the handsigns... As she finished the last handsign, the water beneath her began to swirl slightly, tiny waterspouts rising from the surface to twirl around her.His hand moving to one side, the water flowing around it... Amaranth moved her arm over one of the water, some of it flowing upwards and orbiting around her arm. His mouth moving quickly, stating the jutsu... Closing her right hand, Amaranth finished the incantation of the jutsu, "Fuuma Mizu Shuriken" The water swirled for a moment and then flowed towards her hand, quickly forming into a large shuriken, its three, foot long curved blades composed entirely of densely packed swirling water.
Bringing back his arm, he threw the shuriken... As the shuriken finished forming, Amaranth's eyes shot open, the water stabilizing and quickly picking up speed as she brought her arm back before swinging forwards. The water shuriken flew from her hand, flying through the air towards Vicer, aimed at his midsection. Halfway there however, the shuriken seemed to wobble slightly, one of the blades collapsing slightly before falling away, leaving the shuriken two bladed for a moment before it shrunk to restore its previous shape. It had worked, slightly, but she still needed to practice with that jutsu......And we will fight until time dies and the Shadow is triumphant!

As Vicer saw his opponent walk into the lake, he thought to himself, 'Why did I choose the lake? Honestly.... He saw the water move around here, bending around her arms and taking the shape of a Shuriken.
He sheathed his sword, knowing it would be useless in this situation. Closing his eyes, he moved his hands into a karate fighting position. He began simple tai chi, focusing on his chakra to flow out. As it left his body, he used a very slow ignite speed, causing it not to explode out, but making it into a fine controllable flame.
He re opened his eyes, seeing the water flying towards him, "F... Flame Mold!" he yelled and raised his arms. The flames that had been flowing around him, all moved to block the path of the jutsu towards him. He had spent to long making the shield, so it was not prefect, and only stopped half of the jutsu's power.
It wobbled into his stomach, winding him. 'Stupid lake...'. He dropped to one knee, but forced himself back up again. The shaken student put his hands in front of his body, one holding onto his stomach, the other in an offensive position. 'I think I broke a rib...', he tried moving one hand up, a wave of pain went through his body, 'Yep, that's a broken rib... "F.. Flame Sh-ot" he said, not wishing to give up easily, as he tried to fire an attack at his master. The flame left his hand, but it was pitiful. It would still hurt if hit by, but looked nothing like his attacks earlier, barely radiating any heat.

You and I have fought a thousand battles... Amaranth frowned again as her student created a shield out of his flames, severely reducing the offensive capabilities of her shuriken. A moment later, a blazing orb of fire shot towards her, flying over the lake with only a faint rippling of air around it from the heat. As it neared her, Amaranth watched for a moment as the fireball seemed to die slightly, the flames reducing even more as it ran out of fuel to sustain itself. Bringing back her scythe, the large chuunin swung it towards the lake's surface, the impact sending up a splash of water that crashed into the pitiful ember and put it out, small wisps of steam rising from the area where it had once occupied.
Glancing back towards Vicer, Amaranth noticed that her student seemed to be crouched over somewhat, an arm wrapped around the area where her shuriken had struck. Walking back across the lake towards her student, scythe held down by her side to show she wasn't attacking, Amaranth began to speak. "You okay over there? Do you want to continue? You don't have to if you don't want to, you have shown enough of your skills to pass the test."...And we will fight until time dies and the Shadow is triumphant!

"I ca-n continue if ne-ed be..." Vicer said, before a coughing fit struck him, "Or... may-be not...". He held his torso area, it hurt pretty badly, he could continue fighting, but he would lose mobility, making most of his attacks ineffective.
He struggled upwards, trying to keep some pride with him. He moved over towards his sword, he tried to bend over and grab it, but that sent another wave of pain up him. So instead, he put his foot right under the centre of gravity for the sword, and flicking it upwards. It spiralled through the air, then was caught by the young flame user. After catching it he sheathed it.
"So..." he continued talking, "You sa-y I pass-ed?" he asked his intructor.

Frowning slightly as she saw Vicer still clutching his stomach, and the coughing fit that followed, she didn't think that the shuriken would have done that much damage, and he had even blocked most of it too. Quickly moving over to her injured student, Amaranth prepared a small amount of chakra and made some handsigns, her left hand glowing with a slight silver aura as she pressed her hand against Vicer's chest. "Sugi Toki No Jutsu" The silver glow spread from her pale hand and surrounded her student, glowing for a moment before vanishing. Taking her hand away, the short chuunin began to walk over to her bag to grab something from within it. "Well that should temporally heal that would, though you will need to get checked out at the hospital when you get back as it isn't designed for healing. And yes, you passed. Congratulations, you are now a genin." As she spoke the last part, Amaranth held out the object she had received from her bag, a plain ninja headband, a blank space in the middle between two square brackets seemingly suspiciously empty. Raising her left arm to show the headband are her wrist, Amaranth explained the blank space, "Though all our headbands have the symbol of the Nameless Village on them, they also have everyone's unique symbol too. As a genin, you get to choose that symbol and then you engrave it onto the the headband. Though whether you do so yourself or go into the village to get it done is up to you. Good work."...And we will fight until time dies and the Shadow is triumphant!

Vicer took a deep breath when the spell was cast on him, it felt as if someone had just stopped standing on his chest. He saw the worried look on her face. "It's wat...er. I'm fi-re. What di-d you expe-ct?" he asked her.
He smiled as he was handed the headband. 'I have to make my own indentation eh?... I made a sword, I can make a carving easily... But what should I put on there... he thought as his body graciously accepted the gift. He did a deep bow, amazed that this didn't hurt as much as he expected. "I th-ank you fo...r you-r teach-ing..." his mouth said, his mind was still wandering though, 'I wonder how she made me feel better...'. He finished his bow and stood back up again, "Wh-en I get... bett-er we shou-ld fight... again..." he smiled at her yet again.

You and I have fought a thousand battles... Amaranth nodded, the slight movement dislodging some of her reddish-brown hair and making it fall over her face. Brushing it aside as she spoke, Amaranth wandered back over to her bag to grab the seal-scroll for her scythe. "No problem. And sure, we shall have a rematch when you get better. When you get back to the village just stop by the Hospital though, that jutsu is not meant to be used for healing and from what I have seen, it is a tad unpredictable when it comes to ending, it seems to vary from person to person." Unrolling the scythe, Amaranth used a little of her chakra to reactivate the seal and then placed the black metal weapon on top of the scroll, the scythe vanished into a puff of white smoke, which quickly drifted away in the breeze. "Well, I shall see you later then. Good luck with your training Vicer." With a small smile at the end, Amaranth shouldered her bag and withdrew a biscuit from one of its pockets, beginning to eat it as she walked back towards the village.
