Alright; NOW this was getting frustrating. Not wanting to slip into anger in front of her more timid team mate, Annabel once more pulled herself from the ball pit- muscles tense and face set. Waving to Ozzie when she'd pulled up to safety once more, Annabel took a moment to calm down and relax. Breathe. Rushing into this angry wasn't going to get her anywhere, if her past few attempts had shown her anything.
No, this time, she'd go for speed- ducking and jumping included, though. For god knew how many times that round, Annabel picked herself up and made the mad dash once more. And hell, with as relaxing and detoxing as this was, she didn't even mind the kid calling her Belbel!
HAH. SUCK IT, CHRIS. THAT NICKNAME WASN'T EXCLUSIVELY TO RUIN HER LIFE, AFTER ALL.

ozzie saw how tense annabel was becoming after her repeat attempts. he glanced around to be sure chef wasn't watching, dove into the ball pit, waded through, and gave his teammate an encouraging hug. "i uh....i hope this helps." he had surprised himself - normally he wasn't this outwardly affectionate towards anyone. it just looked to him as though she needed it. "i...uh...i mi-might need to get back over to the other side now." he glanced around once more, then dove back into the ball pit and mucked his way back over to the finish side to wait for her.

AUGH. Distracted by her thoughts of Chris, Annabel took a gull to the side, whining in a hint of pain as she once more tumbled to her doom. Thank god this was a less dangerous version of Reichenbachfall- and Moriarty seemed to be out for the day. Breathing out in frustration as she once more climbed from the ball pit, Annabel grit her teeth. Come ON, seriously- she'd cleared this before, she could clear it again!
"Wish me luck, and here we go~!" And with that, she once more made the dash.

(( Sorry, sorry~! Posted without seeing that, augh. Counting Ozzie's encouragement in this post. )) Eyebrows raised when Ozzie took into the ball pool, Annabel was confused as to the kid's actions- and honestly was surprised when he came forward to hug her. She wasn't the softest of campers, and she hadn't seen the boy open up to anyone- that might've been when she was out, but hey! She'd take all the kindness she could get! Returning Ozzie's hug with one of her own, Annabel laughed, some of the tenseness easing from her shoulders. God, the kid was probably all that was keeping her from swearing up a storm right now!
"You're a good kid, Ozzie. Thanks." Ruffling his hair affectionately, Annabel gave a laughing 'Yah!' to encourage him back to his appropriate side, once more returning to her side of the cliff. Ozzie was waiting- she could do this!
Once more, over the log...!

Well, so much for that attempt. SERIOUSLY, WHOEVER THE HELL WAS MANNING THE SEAGULL GUN DEFINITELY HAD A VENDETTA AGAINST HER. Probably some intern who hadn't seen the stripping footage. Trying not to freak out any more as she pulled herself yet again from the ball pit, Annabel took a moment to pace, simply breathing. No need to get over-excited- she had two more runs left to make, and wanted to finish them as quickly as possible. She couldn't get stuck here!
Clicking her music on once more, Annabel made a dash for the log. Big money, big money, no wha- GULLS. No gulls, and....!

(that's ok, i think i posted right before you did ^^)
ozzie blushed even harder at the hugback and the tousled hair. if he kept this up, his face would be the color of his eyes.
ozzie was glad that he had run into annabel during this game, since it let him see that she really was nicer than her earlier comments in the challenge tent led him to believe. he felt bad that she was struggling so hard on this challenge. "yo-you can do it, belbel, i believe in you! i bet that stupid chef is rigging this log so you keep spilling over into the ballpit."

"IIIIIIII wouldn't be insulting Chef, if I were you!" She called good-humoredly, pulling herself from Rainbow hell once more. Stretching her legs a bit, Annabel continued her cross shore conversation with Ozzie.
"I'm telling you, he's NOT the Audio to mess with- I've got a puppet with my name on it in my bunk, and you know just what he thinks of puppet shows!" Doing a sort of over-dramatic stretch-routine and getting her back to pop, she stilled a moment- despite the humor in her voice, it was obvious the older girl was grateful for the company.
"You're a sweet kid for being here, you realize that? It's really helping me keep my cool. Let's say once more for Prince Albert, eh?"
And again, she took off, hoping to catch up with Ozzie on the other side.

Yeah, Gulls were definitely her least-favorite animal right now. On top of her ball pit vendetta? Oh yeah. She was definitely going to find a television-friendly way to get back at these nasty little bugger. But now wasn't the time to plot revenge and get whisked away in her thoughts. On her side of the shore, Annabel furrowed her brow. She'd done this before, and it wasn't going to get her down!
She could do this, man. FOR POOOOOOOONY~!

"ye-yeah, guess you're right. nearly killed me earlier, 'n out here with the gators 'n stuff who's to say he wouldn't try it again?"
"'n pu-puppets, you say? like what he was doing at the fire pit earlier?" (side ooc note: ozzie woke up late and missed chef's very first puppet show xd ) "ye-yeah, that was...pretty weird 'n disturbing."
he groaned as annabel missed yet again. though he wouldn't say it aloud any more to tempt fate, he was seriously beginning to believe chef was rigging the log and seagull guns specifically for annabel to fail.

"Yeah, like the fire pit earlier," she grinned, successfully blocking the image out- for now, anyway. Nightmares last night had been enough of a dosage in that department. For now, she had a log to conquer and a challenge to win- her team really didn't need to send anymore campers home. She hadn't known the last few, but really, she had every intention of keeping it that way.
"But, hey- this camp's a crazy place! I should've expected something like that!" Annabel laughed once more, emerging from the ball pit and sitting momentarily. Only using a moment's rest, she was up once more, sprinting for the log yet again.(AHAHAHAHA FINALLLLLLLLLLLLLLY~! )

for the first time since he arrived on the island, ozzie let out a cry based on good emotions. "yo-you did it belbel, you made it across!" he gave her another quick hug.
"i, uh...i guess this means we start over?" he wasn't looking forward to it, but his last run was an improvement over the first and he thought he might be figuring out some tricks to getting through unscathed.

Chest heaving when she finally managed it across, Annabel was shocked when the boy yet again met her with a hug- laughing and hooting victoriously, she over-enthusiastically swept him into a hug, happiness and ease returning to her actions. Stepping back, she took a moment to grin, giving the younger Audio an over-dramatic pose.
"I did, and it's all thanks to you! Probably would've freaked out without you here, Ozzie!" Still, it was obvious that tiredness was taking her- the back of her shirt was laced with sweat, and her breathing was still uneasy. Shifting to stand more relaxed, Annabel's gaze swept to the start of the course, eyeing it with mild disdain. Hopefully her spell of bad luck on the BRIDGE FROM HELL wouldn't carry to the other obstacles- she'd only gone in a couple of times on the Gators, and the crawl or the cliff hadn't taken her yet. Drawing a deep breath, she turned to Ozzie once more.
"I'm going in for a fourth round when you start your third- let's do this!" She said, heading for the start in a more leisurely jog. The faster she finished her five rounds, the better- LORD she was going to go take a nap after this. Sliding onto her stomach for the crawl once more, hoping Ozzie was close behind, Annabel started up on her fourth round.

"i-it was nothing really. i want us beavers to do really well in all the challenges 'n well, some of the other beavers have been helping me like when i lost steggy 'n i just wanted to help someone else for a change."
he followed the white audio down to the wire crawl, hunkered down and scooted across. he was glad for the company, since it was much better doing this alongside a companion. he just hoped that whatever craziness was happening with annabel and the log wouldn't still be waiting when they got that far along.

"Steggy?" She asked, unaware of who- or what, she supposed, that might've been. Still, the fact that her cabin had helped the boy out made her smile. Beavers through and through, they were a damn good team! Hopefully, he realized that had she been aware of the item's missing status, Annabel would've gone to help with Steggy as well. Vaguely, she wondered where she'd been during all of those times- out with Simon? Chris? One of those two, albeit unfortunately on the second. Pulling herself out from under the crawl, she patiently waited for the boy to finish. Jogging on ahead to the cliff, she got her footing, turning back to him with a smile.
"Alright, let's do this- no more mistakes like the log, yeah? We'll believe in each other and get through this thing!"
...Yeah, so it was a bit corny, but they could really use a pick-me-up about now. God help her, were it in her power, she'd be getting Ozzie one of those drinks Chef and Chris had been drinking yesterday.
But for now, all the duo could do was climb.
