"I doubt I'll get a day off." Amaya sighed. "Let's just forget it and keep moving. I'd like to be a little further before we call it a night." She told her friend as she began to walk again.

Kai smiled, nodding. “Just a bit. Though somewhat unpleasant, as some bring their bodies and are fighting to stay in one piece. But it is a bit disturbing to be attacked by a man wielding his own arm as a weapon.” She mused, sounding as though she’d seen it before.

Leena raised an eyebrow and listened, almost inquiring as to if she had actually seen this in person or not, but she decided not to. "I can think it would be. Or of undead spirits thats swords can cut but any sword that goes to attack them would simply pass through. I would think that to be rather terrifying." She mused, not really sure how it would work since she seemed to be better at summoning spirits than controlling what would be called zombies.

Kai nodded. "Those too. Then again, anything undead has a bit of a scary effect. Though, it's amusing when it's all an illusion and knights run screaming." she said, smiling innocently as though she had never done such a thing.
Gwen nodded, going after her. She didn't need to lead Tyri, the horse was smart enough to follow herself. And she wouldn't stray far from her mistress unless told otherwise.

It was a few hours before the absolute darkness infront of them forced them to stop. Amaya gathered some wood and Tuin lit it easily, letting out a small puff of flame. Once the fire was ready and more wood had been gathered, the princess sat down, her back leaning against the large dragon behind her, who had laid down to rest his feet.

Leena burst out laughing at how she said what she said and then smiled so innocently afterwards, falling into giggles before finally calming. "They would. Most people aren't used to seeing things dead come back to life. But I've never thought about just casting an illusion to frighten people off. I usually just summon up the real thing. Maybe I should reconsider so I can save up on spirits so to speak." She giggled again, a servant had already taken away her empty bowl and glass, the reports already gone as well. "What shall we do now hm? Those were the most urgent reports and I've already done what I need to with them." She didn't mention that she had used spirits to communicate her commands to who needed it, warning Vadasz as well why he was flying about outside.

Kai smiled. "Maybe. But it does take a bit to make them convincing. But you've had the practice with actual ones, so maybe not." she said, shrugging. "What to do? It's up to you, highness. The elves won't come tonight, and I have nothing for tonight. Let the Princess decide and make all the decisions." she said, somewhat teasing in the end.
While Amaya started setting up camp Gwen brushed Tyri down then brought some food out of her pack. "Do you still not eat?" she asked, meaning did she not eat in front of people rather than not eat at all.

Amaya quietly nodded her head. It may have seemed odd, but it was all a matter of awareness and safety. It was harder to poison her food if no one ever watched her eat. But she knew Gwen understood and knew that she had either already eaten, or would eat soon. The young princess would never make an exception on this rule.

"I'm sure it does. Heh, even then one has to be careful. There are different types of spirits." Leena pointed out, listening to Kai's answer to her question with a light sigh. She smirked at the teasing, sticking out her tongue like a child, glancing outside with a heavy sigh. "I want to check on those outer villages to be sure they are fine. I know that doesn't seem relaxing, but it'll make me feel better." She said softly, a flash of light putting her back in her rangers clothes along with her hair lengthening and gaining a silvery tint to it.

Dais spent the next few hours putting the library back together. It was no coincidence that the shelves had fallen. He had spotted more shadows slinking away. He had silently directed Aldon to follow the one that had exited the library after Leena and Kai. Luckily, the elderly librarian allowed Dais a break, though Dais was not completely fazed. In his previous occupation, he was used to strenuous activities.
The library assistant took a breather outside and sipped some water, following Aldon's senses. From Aldon's ventures, it seemed that the shadow was really following the two... into the palace. That meant his suspicions were correct. However, what was troubling was that Aldon was a little nervous and looking around quite a bit. More of the shadows were converging around the ferret.
Dais was going to have to step in. However, Aldon had already entered the palace quarters. Dais, obviously, could not enter through the front door, and Aldon was beginning to scurry through the palace as unnoticeably as he could while dodging the shadows.
The other option Dais had was to find the source of the shadows. There were many possibilities in that as well. He would have an easier time getting through to the palace then searching the whole country. His cover was probably close to blown. The shadows must have been of Gannel.
((By the way, feel free to control the shadows or have Aldon run into the room Kai and Leena are in.))

Kai nodded. "Should I send Ri to find Vadasz? Would he want to come too, or be stalked again?" she asked, standing up again to follow Leena to wherever it was they were going. She paused, her eyes trailing out to the window. "But we might want to see what the librarian wants first..." she added.
Gwen nodded. "So, will you still throw things if I taunt you with my food?" she asked innocently, fighting to keep a grin from her face. True, they had been little then. But it was still amusing.
((Figured I might wanna explain this. Ri, when not visible, is always wandering around as a spirit, sort of, but not one that can be sensed. More accurately, the dragon's MIND is wandering around. And she tells Kai everything she learns. So that's how Kai seems to know just about everything going on. Most the time she won't say anything, unless it's actually important or if asked or if it's random and amusing.))

"Maybe." Amaya laughed, laying her head back against Tuin.

Leena paused, shaking her head. "No, she doesn't have to send for him. If he wants to come he will. But i don't want to have him risk coming along and get caught." She murmured, turning towards the door to see the ferret from earlier come scurrying in. She crouched down, whispering a word to it while offering a hand for him to crawl up. "Yes, thats-" She stopped, immediately drawing two swords as something rose up from the shadows. "Kai, we'll see what he wants on the go. Now." She spoke, blocking a sword blow while parrying with a slice down the mans chest. Jumping back, she was suddenly murmuring under her breath, "Aave , I-KIRJAIN anoa sinun läsnäolo ja kahakoida joten me toukokuu kaikota." Then the man was fighting something, but rather unsuccessfully as she turned to the window, crossing her arms as she jumped out, a breeze coming up to catch them both and lower them gently. She heard the mans shout as he was cut to pieces, the spirit swirling down to them before vanishing from view.

Kai scooped the ferret up, already on her way to the window. She simply stepped over the window sill instead of diving like Leena did, willing her skirt to stay close to her legs and not fly up over her head. "Shall we take him with us and get a bit farther away?" she asked, brushing her tattoo with her fingertips. "Ri, dear, we need you." she murmured, tilting her head back as the dragon peeled itself from her skin, leaving a dull copy behind. The dragon filled out and grew, so that she was cat sized again. Though, if needed, she could become large enough to carry all three of them.
"Rest, Amaya. Sleep for once. I'll keep watch first." Gwen said, smiling faintly and getting up. Her things were beside Tyri and what Amaya had brought, possibly giving the impression that the princess was alone. She moved out to find a perch in a tree, a couple yards from where Amaya was with the fire. No one would think to look for her out here, and she wouldn't have to fight to see against the firelight.

"If you're sure..." Amaya murmured before she relaxed a little. It didn't take very long for the princess to fall asleep. However she was still training even while asleep. Amaryllis had too much to teach her for her to sleep.
