Angelica could have kissed Sam when he promised to keep Morgan's secret. Well, no, she had already done that and didn't intend to any time soon. But she knew how important it was to Morgan to keep it quiet that she was half vampire. Morgan shook her head when Angelica suggested going back to the castle. Understandable; she looks quite shaken. Angelica nodded to the redhead and looked back at Sam, who sat very roughly on the floor of the forest and asked what happened. Angelica knew Morgan wouldn't lie to him, but she also knew the younger Slytherin was still standing around somewhere. As Morgan began to divulge her secret to Sam, Angelica silently cast the Muffliato spell, so as to keep her secret just that--a secret.
Angelica, though wary of getting dirt on her knees, felt bad enough for her friend to kneel beside her as she told Sam the story of her family. As Morgan apologized to Sam, Angelica looked away. She feigned looking for the chimaera, but she really was attempting to give Morgan privacy. Morgan was a proud creature, so humbling herself enough to apologize must have been hard--even twice as hard given the situation. Angelica kept her face turned away, and was about to reach out her hand to comfort Morgan by placing it on the redhead's shoulder, but then remembered she might still be interested in blood and changed her mind. Angelica glanced at Sam, waiting for his reaction to this news.

Smart Ass Flirt At Your Service Sam just sat there. He was more than a little shell shocked from everything. Morgan's words kept playing in his mind. The rumors were true. Half vampire. He shook his head and finally her last words clicked. She was apologizing. He looked up to where Morgan was sitting and Angelica kneeing by her side. Sam looked between the two girls and sighed softly. "Well then..." He whispered but didn't move.
Sam took a moment to gather himself. He placed that classic smirk on his lips and crawled closer to the other two. It was easier than walking. He caught Angelica's gaze as she tried to search for something they both knew wasn't there. He nodded to her, grin still in place. She was a good friend. Then Sam finally met Morgan's eyes. "No need to be sorry, love..." He told her. "We can't change what we are..." He reached out and brushed his fingers over her red cheeks. "I like it when I can make a girl blush..." He added and thus the old Sam was back. He still kept her words in mind, but they were better left to analyze later.

____________ мσяgαи ∂αℓ¢α ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ Morgan felt slightly better for having Angelica by her side, but this was her problem. As much as she appreciated her company, at the same time, she didn't want her involved. Now that Sam knew, that brought the grand total of the "in" crowd to three. She was almost positive Seamus knew, but never commented on it. Morgan looked up again when Sam sighed and spoke. Then he was silent for several heart stopping seconds. Hoping she wouldn't have to cast a memory charm on the boy, she clenched and relaxed her hands nervously.
She was brought to attention by Sam inching closer. His gaze connected with Morgan's and she didn't break it. He accepted her for what she was. She let out a breath she didn't know she was holding. Perhaps he didn't realize the degree to which Morgan was finding she craved him. She would have to be extremely careful around him from now on. It seemed to be just him that effected her this way; blood was often spilled in Quidditch, yet Morgan was able to resist it.
Sam's fingers had barely graced her cheek when she flinched away. "Not yet..." she muttered, commenting on the touch. Even with such a light brushing, she could feel the heat of his body. Still, she smiled slightly at his words. "Don't try to be cute." She stood then, brushing her clothes free from the debris of the forest floor. Normally she might have offered her hand to either of her friends to help them up, but under the circumstances, she decided against it. "It is getting late."

Angelica chewed softly on her lip. Something other than what had just occurred was going on between Morgan and Sam and it made her uncomfortable. The two had a brief exchange during which Sam reached out and attempted to stroke Morgan's cheek. Flinching as he did so, Angelica braced herself for the worst, but all that happened was Morgan also flinched away from his fingers. As soon as he retracted his hand, Morgan stood, declaring that it was getting late. Angelica stood as well. "It is...I'm going to head back in now..." She lit her wand silently and took a few steps backwards. This was her way of giving them a moment of privacy, despite the younger Slytherin still being off on the edge of the clearing. Angelica met her eyes for a moment before she turned back to Morgan and Sam. "Goodnight. I'll see you in the dormitory, Morgan." She debated whether or not to say "be careful" but decided against it, since Sam would scoff and Morgan might become angry or irritated.
Angelica made her way slowly but surely out of the forest, putting out her wand once she reached the edge, and made her way up to the entrance hall. She wasn't sure what time it was, so she made sure to be quiet as she snuck through the entrance hall and down to the Slytherin common room.

Smart Ass Flirt At Your Service Sam pulled his fingers away as Morgan flinched. He never thought he would see the day she flinched from anything. He sat back on his butt still close to the other two girls. He was pretty confused. He glanced to Angelica. She looked like she was waiting for Morgan's normal action of hitting him. They both seemed to relax a bit with some of Morgan's normal attitude coming out. Then they stood. He looked up at them. They mentioned it was getting late and Angelica decided to leave on her. He followed her gaze and saw the other Slytherin girl still hiding away in the shadows. Just watching. When Sam looked back, Angelica was gone.
Sam let out a breath. He looked around them, but aside for their little peeping tom hidden in the shadows, they were alone now. Sam got to his feet slowly, a little sound of protest escaping his lips. You don't get hit by a chimaera and not feel it later, no matter how good the healing spell. He'd be sore, but probably nothing else. He met Morgan's eyes and grinned like normal. "Ready to head back too?" He asked her in an almost seductive voice.

____________ мσяgαи ∂αℓ¢α ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ Morgan nodded as Angelica said her goodbyes and headed back towards the castle. It wasn't terribly far from where they now stood. She wouldn't need any help. The other two had glanced at something in the trees. Morgan looked where they had saw someone standing in the shadows. It seemed they had had an audience. She glared in her direction. No telling how long she had been there or if she had heard anything. The redhead was quite sure if she had heard anything, there would have been some sort of reaction. She had no idea of knowing that Angelica had actually cast a silencing spell.
Rubbing the back of her neck, Morgan nodded again. This time to Sam's question. "Very." She didn't miss the tone in his voice. With a small "follow me" wave, she began to lead the pair through the trees and out of the woods. Her senses were alert for any sign of the chimeara returning, but nothing threatening seemed to be headed their way. Once safely on the grounds, she relaxed.

Smart Ass Flirt At Your Service Sam followed Morgan in silence. He kept glancing behind him. There was a good a** reason this forest was forbidden. He sighed when the trees seemed to come to an end. Morgan paused once they were on the ground. Sam moved closer to her. He moved so that he was facing her. He lifted his hand as if to touch her hair. He hesitated, but went ahead any way. He smoothed his fingers through her hair to move it away from her face. Then he pulled his hand away. He moved closer to her. "Morgan..." He whispered her name. "May I?" It was the question he had used before. She hadn't refused him yet. He wanted one more kiss before they went back to the school. She'd probably return to her cruel ways. So, if he couldn't have her he just wanted one more good memory of her.

____________ мσяgαи ∂αℓ¢α ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ As Sam stepped out of the woods and came to stand in front of Morgan, the girl froze. When he reached out to run a hand through her long hair, the redhead couldn't help but think this boy was amazingly brave, or incredibly foolish. She held her breath until his fingers had left her hair. He moved closer and whispered to her. Morgan tried to smile. "If that is your death wish." Her voice only held the smallest hint of sarcasm, for she was being unfortunately serious. She wanted him entirely; as if that weren't evident from their previous kiss.
If Sam were to make a romantic advance on her now, Morgan knew she wouldn't be able to hold back. It was still too soon after the blood. Despite knowing this too well, Morgan found herself leaning closer to Sam. They were completely alone this time and if something were to go wrong, there would be a very low chance of setting it right. Perhaps just one kiss... a quick chaste peck... Morgan eyed his lips. She would not make the move this time. "Another time...?" she breathed. If Sam wanted to risk it now, she wasn't going to complain.

Smart Ass Flirt At Your Service Sam laughed lightly at her death wish comment. He shook his head. "No... I can't die... My goals have not been met..." He whispered lightly, but didn't make a move away from her. He just didn't want to. And it seemed she didn't want to either. She was leaning closer into him. He wanted to touch her. To sweep her off her feet like he had done with so many other girls.
Sam watched her eyes flick lower. He wondered what she was seeing. She whispered for another time. A question. But her actions never pulled her away from him. Sam smiled. It was a soft smile. He leaned forward and brushed his lips against her cheek. It wasn't what he wanted entirely but they both got some of the contact they desired. He moved away from her finally, turning his back on her as if to begin the walk back to the castle. He paused and looked back. "I want another kiss from you, Morgan... It will be another time..." He told her softly. He shoved his hands in his pockets, waiting for her to come closer so they could walk back to the castle together.

Fire. Never had been good with that, really. Especially large quantities of it. Hell, she got nervous even when she was moderately close to the fireplace in her common room. It was a strange fear, and one of which she couldn't quite explain. Perhaps, in a past life, she had died in one? She didn't care to know, nor find out, but she knew it was a simple, unexplainable fear. When the redhead girl cast incendio, intending on driving the Chimera away, Adriane stepped back despite herself. Perfectly worthless, you are. As much as she wanted to jump in on the action, she felt as though the redhead and Pretty Boy had it down pretty well themselves. By the time she had taken a few more steps back, the chimera was gone. And with it, the flames. She let ou the breath she didn't know she was holding, and dropped her wand to her side. Fat lot of good it had done, though. Just for show, after all.
By then, another girl had shown up. Another one she recognized, but couldn't remember the name of. Hell, had she ever known her name? Folding her arms tightly under her chest, she leaned back against the nearest tree, and watched the group with a vaguely uninterested look on her face. Cheers all around, you beat the big bad monster of the forbidden forest. Just as she was about to turn to leave, the redhead grabbed Pretty Boys' wrist, and started licking the blood off. At first, Adriane held a slightly disgusted expression, which soon melted away into one of interest. I believe someone has a secret. Pretty Boy freaked out, and pulled away from the redhead, who in turn fell back onto the forest floor. There was some talking, none of which interested her too terribly. Just then, a rather annoying unidentifiable buzzing noise decided to show up in her ears, and she swore quietly. She was able to see their lip moving, though, and that was enough for her to know that there was something they didn't want her to hear.
A smirk grew on her lips. She'd find out sooner or later, she always did. And, at the moment, she sure as hell had a good idea as to what the 'secret' was.
A short moment later, the girl who had shown up later left the group, and much to Adriane's pleasure, the annoying noise had also butted out. Of course, the redhead turned and gave her a very nasty glare. Adriane very happily returned it. Not very pretty when you do that, love. Without a word, she followed after the redhead and Pretty Boy when they gave her the 'follow me' wave. Although she was perfectly capable of getting out on her own, she figured she may as well. For some unknown reason, the two older Slytherins stopped at the edge of the forest. Her lips parted to ask why, but then she quickly realized when they got closer together.
To snog. They had stopped so they could snog.
She made a small pained looking expression, and crossed her arms tighter over her chest, looking down at her feet so she could avoid intruding on this...intimate moment. There didn't seem to be one, or it wasn't very long, as they began talking again, with Pretty Boy turning to walk away, before pausing, saying something about wanting another kiss from....Morgan? She smirked a bit, wondering if the redhead wanted to keep it more of a secret than Pretty Boy did. "Sorry to break up this little....whatever this is, but I must apologize for freezing up back there. Fire's not my thing." she kept her distance from the two, figuring she may as well should one of them take it badly.

____________ мσяgαи ∂αℓ¢α ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ Morgan just stared as Sam found slight humor in the situation. Goals? She made a mental note to ask the boy what his plans were for after graduation. Of course, that conversation was best saved for a different time. The situation already at hand was becoming dire as Morgan realized that Sam was leaning towards her. For a frightening and wonderful moment, she thought he as going to give her a proper kiss. But thankfully he opted for a light kiss on her cheek. She sighed in both relief and disappointment as he took a few steps away from her. If she was careful and learned to better control her, "affliction", as Angelica calls it, then she would certainly make good on that promise.
Folding her arms across her stomach, she took the few steps to stand even with Sam again. Just then a voice spoke out from behind them. Morgan whipped her around, hair flying, to stare hard at the girl who had spoken. It was Adriane again. How much did she know? The redhead swore under her breath. She should have been more careful in general, not only with Sam. "It is fine. It has passed." However, Morgan's tone held anything but forgiveness or understanding. This younger Slytherin was trying her patience. "I suggest you get back to the common room before a Prefect of a different house finds you." Morgan rarely penalized her housemates unless they had done something very over the top. For she herself often abused the rules. Not to mention her role as a Slytherin Prefect. She looked back to Sam before she began walking towards the castle.

Smart Ass Flirt At Your Service (( sorry not paying attention >.< ))
Sam glanced back to the forest as he heard a girl speak. He shook his head when he realized it was only the younger Slytherin. Sam shrugged off the girl's apology. "Well, I wouldn't trust you at my back... But we're all still alive, so it doesn't really matter..." He told her. Normally he wasn't mean to girls, but he didn't like cowards. Afraid of fire. She would never go far in this world. He wouldn't let her pull him down.
Morgan joined Sam by his side and was a lot more forgiving of the girl. In words at least. Sam sighed softly with Morgan's recommendation. "I need to get back quickly too... I don't have the protection of being a prefect..." He told Morgan. She began to walk for the castle as it didn't matter to her. 'Great... Everything back to normal....' He thought to himself as he headed to the castle. He wanted a late night snack, but he was sure he'd be late for class as it was. He would sleep in. Good thing he had the head of house first period. He grinned with the thought and headed towards the common room.

Somehow, she had managed to piss those two off.
A little spurt of giggles bubbled up from her throat, although they sounded just a bit crazy. She quieted them down, and cleared her throat. Things like this were just fun. Pissing people off and everything like that. Nodding towards Morgan, she put on a polite, extremely fake, smile on her face. She had heard quite well the tone the redheads voice had held, but she said nothing of it. Then Pretty Boy spoke, something about not trusting her. Ha, what a joke. She never had implied he needed to, nor had she ever shown the wanting to help him in any way whatsoever. "I wouldn't trust you as far as I could throw you, Pretty Boy, and believe me, I'm not a very strong girl." she chided, a coarse laugh thrown in at the end. Her tongue flicked out over her bottom lip like it often did, and her eyes bore the slighest bit of amusement. They'd be fun to try to ******** with, that was for sure. Without another word, she brushed off her skirt and practicfally glided towards the castle, completely ignoring the other two. She could honestly care less, should a prefect catch her. It had happened before, after all.
[[So sad I missed the fight, though. Aids wold never have frozen up like that. /lame xD]]

Courage isn't the absence of fear; it's wearing a second pair of jocks and getting it over with.
Douglas Richard Thomson Douglas took a breath and gripped the handle of the school's tattered old Cleansweep 100. It had been five years and he still hadn't managed to get higher than ten feet above the ground without passing out. It was for this reason that he practised flying when nobody else was around. Tobias used to join him but after what Anna had done, the pair were at odds with eachother.
And so it came to pass that when Douglas lost control of his broom, there was nobody there to help him. The thing bucked and tossed like the bulls he used to ride back home, only bulls remained on the ground when they tossed. The Cleansweep shot ahead, leaving Douglas clutching onto the bristles. If it hadn't been for the fact that he was at tree-top level, this would have been fun. As it was, the most enjoyable part was when he let go and crashed through the canopy at the edge of the Forbidden Forest. Well, at least the ground isn't as hard here, he thought as he wiped grit from his nose. There is a FINE LINE between COURAGE and STUPIDITY. I just crossed it.

~* E - a >+< C - o - n - w - a - y *~ "Aw, did my sarcasm hurt your feelings?" Tromping through the brush, Ea almost hadn't noticed he'd entered the forest. Not that he'd care if he did. He'd been there often when he needed a break from people. And this was a good place to do just that, since people tended to stay away. He didn't blame them. If Ea didn't know how to defend himself from most dangers, he'd be frightened off too. Moxy didn't seem in the least bit worried as she escaped the hood and weaved her way through the undergrowth. "What's wrong with me Mox?" he asked grumpily. "All that smiling... he said as if it was an indecent act. Then after a pause, a smile once again tried to force itself upon his face. "I kind of liked it. he confessed to the ferret, home occupied herself with dragging along a mouse she'd just caught. "Curious how Anna got me to do that..." he thought aloud.
But this thought was cut short by a creeping chill that ran its way up Ea's spine. The air was now thick with a putrid smell like sulfur and the forest had gone quiet. Moxy flew back up Ea's body and curled up, shaking in his hood. He looked to his right and pulled out his wand, looking into the brush where a fierce growl emanated. Out from the shadows lept a giant black dog with crimson eyes that burned Ea to his very core. It growled so loudly that he could feel it in his bones. Facing him with gleaming teeth bared, the monster dog moved slowly closer, its breath stinking of sulfur and death. It was just ten feet away from him, and as Ea stumbled, he'd made himself a perfect target. Ea was so stunned that he couldn't even bring himself to use his wand. He sat there, trying to suppress his fear when a noise to his left make him look at a distant broom bucking its rider. Ea looked back to where the dog had been, but it was gone along with the stench and the overwhelming fear it had brought. Ea stood in time for Doug to land not even twelve feet from where he was."Well, I guess you'll just have to go into your wee little emo-corner and have yourself a cry then."
