"Hopefully Captain Hei's experiments will give us an edge. Hopefully." He let the noodles fall into the bowl, and picked up his chopsticks.
"Thanks. I think that waiter has a hearing problem." He laughed again. "You want some of my not shrimp sushi? 12 pieces of sushi is one thing, but pieces of sushi you don't like is another!" Kato picked up a piece of sushi, intending to eat it, but it slipped from his grasp. He frowned slightly. "And another thing. How did you get so good at using chopsticks?"

[I'm hungry now. LOL. eek ]

Tomomi chuckled and looked to Yuki, "I am the father of the Seireitei in many a person's eye, yet I am not old in looks nor am I married to you, hm? I am not the creator of the Seireitei either.. Though, I could see how the name simply could make one feel old. I do like being the father-figure sometimes, it's quite nice to have people look up to you for guidance." He smiles to Remito and looks back to Yuki, "Now, Yuki.. You wouldn't be spying on the little couple a few tables over, would you?" He doesn't say it loud enough for others, but only the ones at his table to hear. He chuckles some more, "Ever since they've been in here, you've been checking them out. Did you put those two up to this?" He eats a little more of his ramen and looks back to Yuki, "Or am I just going off on another little fantasy of mine I concocted in my childish mind?" He sticks his tongue out at her in jest.

"Semantics Tomomi dear, semantics." Yuki sipped her hot drink and spared him a glance coupled with a smile. "As it stands, I am not quite ready to be spoken of as though I have children. Now if one of my girls cares to think of me as their big sister, then that's alright." She smiled inwardly, thinking quietly to herself about how she felt about Sakura and Elisia. "Regarding the lovebirds, or rather, lovebird and one being suited; Those two came in here of their own accord. The loss of awkwardness was due in part to me, but I did not make them come in here or get together." She said quite firmly as if saying so cleared her of all guilt for having listened to them.

[Wow Eke... Does Kato have super hearing now? He said "He doesn't say it loud enough for others, but only the ones at his table to hear" rolleyes And what was nice about that? neutral ]

Tomomi shrugged, "Well, they are quite the couple. They seem to like the same food and all." He sigh, "I am forever 'til I pass on again to be probably be stuck as so.. What kind of woman wants a man who's also a child?" He sighs once and more and goes back to eating ramen, "Oh well, I'm still very athletic, and old age would hinder me little by little. So, yeah, being like this has a lot of perks. I see what you mean with the big sister thing, too. You care for everyone in the Seireitei like they were your brother and sister, because in essence; we are." He smiles and eats a little more.

"Really?" She sipped her coca again then placed it on the table. After crossing her arms and pulling them up under her breasts, she eyed him curiously. "And I suppose you have tried everything to become the norm for a 900+ year old?" Yuki drummed her right fingers on her left arm. "Even asking my brother?" She quirked an eyebrow at him, giving him one of those looks that said, "you better not lie" and that only a grown woman can pull off. She said this because she knew. Hei had never mentioned anything about fixing Tomomi, and he told her everything.

Tomomi chuckled, "You kidding? Of course not.. Why would I?" He smiled and sipped some more rice milk, "Truthfully, why? I've lived my life as a kid; I've always remembered myself as one.. I'd need a new wardrobe over time, I'd have to train myself for the older age as I progressed, and people look at me and see the true meaning behind us Shinigami; innocence. We vow to vanquish the evil which plaques the innocent, and feeds on the corruption left behind by the wicked or misunderstood and ignorant. When one asks, 'Who leads you?', and you respond, 'A child'; what do you think they'll do? Of course, they're going to underestimate you and think the whole system is weak. When you tell them an old man runs, they may he is weak, but they know he is most likely wise.. An enemy looks at me, and underestimates me.. When I show my enemy how much they have underestimated me; I not only show them I am strong, but that my people.. Are stronger." Tomomi sipped some more rice milk and finished his ramen. He looked to Yuki; Tomomi was one for speeches, it gave him a way to express gratitude and give morale to his people.

"Captain Hei is powerful...although he is a little scary, I must admit..." she replied casually.
She shivered, remembering how close she had come to battling him. Not shrimp sushi? She laughed, thinking about the fact that she had been the one to get the right order. Noticing the sushi which had slipped from his grasp, she picked it up with her own chopsticks and deftly held it in front of him.
"Being part of a noble family means learning all sorts of etiquette. I had to use chopsticks while blindfolded as a sort of test. It was not a good thing to have to do..." she answered.

Yuki listened in silence and smiled when he was done. She lifted her cup to her mouth, looked at his past the rising steam and grinned. "Whatever you say, shorty." She took a sip, placed her cup down again and excused herself from the table. Yuki slid into a chair near Elisia and turned toward her. "You never told me you actually fought with an Espada." Yuki rose an eyebrow at Elisia, as if trying to determine why she never notified. "At least now what Hei tells me makes sense."

Leucious slowly ambles in signaling to the waitress to bring his usual and he went over and sat at his usual table. He had a order to the way he did things and it was a quark of his that he did certain things in a certain order.

[That's fine. Actually, I think I should be studying instead of posting... eek ]

"Yeah..." Kato was finally able to pick the sushi up and quickly throw it into his mouth, before he lost his grip again. "Test! Wow, being in a noble family isn't all it's cracked up to be... Life isn't always greener on the other side?" He struggled to pick up another sushi, but he gave up and used his chopsticks more like.....a stick. He smiled. "One of these days, I want to be able to pick up a grain of rice with one of these..." He pretended to use one as a weapon. "Like in those cheesy kung-fu movies." He laughed. Uh-oh. Did she even watch kung-fu movies?
His train of thought was interrupted as Yuki came over to talk to Elisia.

[...I'ma go study nao.]

Tomomi nodded his head as Yuki excused herself. He looked to Remito, "She's a very nice and nurturing woman, fit to take on the duties of the past Squad Four Captain. So, Remito, if you would like to train with me; meet me at the meditation pond in the Training Grounds, not the Sparring Grounds." He smiles and drinks some more of his rice milk.

Elisia watched carefully as Kato picked the sushi
"Ah well, that life just didn't suit me. Some other people loved living like that but...eww. I hated it." she passed some more ramen to Kato, "...Kung Fu movies. The grain of rice? I've never actually watched kung-fu movies. What are they like?"
She was quite interested. What else did humans do that she did not know about? However, Yuki interrupted before she could properly formulate a question.
"Well, I didn't exactly fight with the Espada - one of them went for me so I had to defend myself and some quick healing work was needed at the same time..." she answered her Captain, "...and what did Hei tell you about? I did not see that it was very important and you looked very...occupied with other things. I thought it was best not to trouble you with trivial matters like myself."
She had another question on the edge of her lips but she kept it shut, not wanting to embarrass her Captain. What had happened to her Captain when she had been there? She had returned in a very bad mood - that was actually one of the reasons she did not tell Yuki about her battle.

Yuki laid a hand on Elisia's shoulder and frowned. "Elisia, you should know better than to think I would consider an interaction with an Espada as unimportant. Or even think that you are trivial. Both of you, Sakura and yourself are like my little sisters, there's no reason you shouldn't come to me with anything. And well, if I ever seem to be in a bad mood or occupied, you can confide in my niece. She's just as good a listener as I am." Yuki released her shoulder and placed her hands in her lap. She smiled. "As for what Hei told me, it was more of a passing mention. That the Espada had actually spoken to you and said some things before leaving. But he doesn't know what was said, sadly. Only you seem to know." She didn't bother to explain that Hei had gathered this information from watching video feeds from the surveillance bacteria that had been injected into Hisagi-taichou. "What... what exactly did he tell you?"

[She is referring to the Zaijian thing, if you had forgotten the word.]
