Aidan let his hand slide from Hikari’s as the girl stepped forward. He hung back and watched the other two, there was little he could do at this point but hope that this would work out alright.

Ishtar looked up as Hikari neared him; his face was blissfully blank, but only showed emotion when he saw her unshed tears. He held his hand out to her palm up.
“Be calm and do not fret, I have seen far worse during my time as an apprentice.” Regarding the mental illness his father was facing now, he had seen far worse with Valiant, hers was worse simply because she did not know anything was wrong. It was clear by this point that his father knew that something was wrong.
“shhhh calm Kieran.” He hoped that using his father’s name would help him remain distant from the situation, but he didn’t know if that was possible in this time being.

Hikari took Ishtar's hand and sat down on the bed. Kieran looked awful. SHe looked back at Aidan and held out her hand to him. "Come on Aidan, it'll be okay, we're all here for you and him; for each other." she said almost pleading with him, her voice shaky. She knew it was hard, for a long time Aidan and Kieran had been all the other had, and for Aidan, this had to be a real slap in the face.

She almost wanted to laugh at what Ishtar said about seeing people in worse states. "But this has to be so much harder for you, I mean, he is your father." she said quietly, looking at Kieran's face, blanched and sweaty. It hurt looking at him, because she could see Aidan when she looked at him. They were so similar and yet so different.

Ishtar merely shook his head and looked up at her.
“No. Kieran never was there for me, nor percy… my family is the Anbu. Him, my mum, all the others… they are more like a second family to me. Though I do hear from my Auntie that I am a good mix of both you uncle and Kieran.” He looked at his uncle with mild curiosity, this had to be hard on him, but it was the truth, and Ishtar was not one to lie.
“I was named Ishtar for a reason.” He said aloud and continued his prayer, the only audible word coming from his mouth being Lilith and Nyx.

Aidan took Hikari’s outstretched hand and came to her, looking at his sickly brother.
“I… I would never do something like this to you my love.” He whispered to her while brushing away a tear. Yes Ishtar’s words were harsh, but he knew them to be the truth, Kieran had given a lot up to remain in Percy’s good favor, and feel, in the other Siberians opinion quite a long way.

Kieran moaned in pain and rolled his head onto Hikari’s lap facing his brother.
“Oh Aidan…” He said quietly but it was all he could say for his voice cracked in pain.

Hikari smiled at Aidan, that made her so happy to hear those words from him. From first meeting she never thought they would have grown so close. Both of them had been not much more than players moving from one thing to the next. "I'm glad to know that Aidan, I would never do anything to hurt you either."

When Kieran laid his head in her lap she didn't fret, instead she ran a hand over his cheek. "Kieran, relax Hun...you've been through a lot tonight." she said frowning at him. She couldn't say she was happy with Persy, but Kieran had been the one who had tried to take his life, a brash move that never would have done any good had he succeeded.

Kieran lay there as he was, fading in and out of consciousness all throughout the prayers made by Ishtar. Occasionally even the slightest fold in his clothes made daggers of pain shoot up various parts of his body, but he knew if he were to fix them or even talk then it would only cause more blinding pain, irritation was a fate far less worse then what he could be enduring.

Ishtar eyed Kieran’s neck wrapping with a scolding eye.
“Who wrapped this?” He looked at Aidan now, not bothering to hide the same look Kieran would have given his son had he been well.
“Is this how you have gotten by? I’m surprised all your limbs are still intact.”

Aidan blushed with the criticism but remained quiet, allowing Ishtar to fuss over his brother, the boy seemed to know a hell of a lot more than he did about this sort of thing.

Hikari looked at Ishtar, he seemed so much older than his true age. But as he said, he'd been living with the Anbu, a particularly large group of assassins, or as most of Ikebokuro called them; 'The Kitty Police'.

"Ishtar, you are studying as a healer correct?" she asked tilting her head. She had her own abilities, but rarely used them. It was for her own sake she never really dwelled on what she could do. It sometimes scared her, and others overjoyed her...but she more often closed her mind to what she could, but she could never truly control her dreams. Shes leaned againt Aidan and looked down at Kieran, the poor man, so hurt, physically and mentally. It would take a long time for him to heal The physical wounds would take some time, but the mental ones would take so much longer. He needed to be around people who cared about him, who loved him regardless.

“This is true; I am studying to become a healer, though I am nothing to brag about surely. What questions do you have or surely you would not just be asking.” He was re-bandaging Kieran’s wounds while Aidan blushed behind Hikari. So he was clumsy with his hands, why is it that the little cat that would more than likely grow to be his size be so delicate? Aidan grunted and ran a hand through his hair which only made the small cat turn to him.
“I must ask you Aidan that you please find some cloth and dampen it for his head, if not he will overheat; your lady friend has questions I’m sure I will be able to help with.”
aidan merely stood up and left the room, it seemed the little cat had picked up Val's stubborness, and Aidan knew better than to argue with it.

Hikari only shook her head. "I have no questions, it was only curiosity that begged be to ask. Your pray is reminiscent of a healers prayer, and not an easy one." she said with a shrug. "My name is Hikari though, so you may stop calling me Aidan's 'Lady Friend'." she said blushing a little choosing her words carefully. "He's...he's my boyfriend now..." she said turning bright red, her ear laying back in her embarrassment, not of Aidan, but of calling him her boyfriend, it was new to her and not even sure how he would take it.

She watched Aidan leave biting her lip. She felt odd having his brother head in her lap, but all the same the situation was a little unusual itself.

“Well it is good he at least has you, Hikari he is going to need to be monitored, usually if one falls they all do.” Ishtar finished the bandaging and brushed more hair from Kieran’s face while waiting for Aidan to come back with the wet cloth. What he didn’t admit to the others was that this did somewhat hurt, but for selfish reasons, he never knew this man, but he should be weeping over him.

“I have the rags.” Aidan said from the door way looking curiously at Ishtar, he handed him three wet rags and wrapped his arms around Hikari, burying his face in her hair.

“Aidan I find your local healer quite unqualified.” Ishtar mumbled to break himself of his reverie. Aidan, being Aidan merely grunted and ignored the kid. Sometimes like does not always call to like.

Hikari wrapped her arms around Aidan, rubbing his back. She wished there was more she was able to do. But she really did have a hard time understand Ishtar; this was his father and it was as though he were cold towards him. He may not have really been there in his life, nor even his mother, but they still were the ones who gave him life to begin with. But it was not her matter, not her problem per say. Ishtar's feelings were his own.

She sighed and looked down at Kieran in her laps, to Aidan clinging to her, hidden in her hair. "Ishtar, how serious is Kieran's injury. I mean, I am more than well aware he will need bed rest for quite a while, and of course his mental health can also hinder his healing. But will he be alright?" she asked running her fingers through Aidan's hair.

Ishtar looked at Hikari with guarded eyes. He weighed his options, but opted for the truth, as he always did.
“He is going to have to stay in bed for two weeks minimum, I’m afraid that if the wound does not close in the first week he will need stitches.”
Ishtar looked away at the thought of how long it would take him to mentally recover… hell he may never.

Aidan kept quiet as Ishtar talked; he looked at his brother through HIkari’s hair and noting that Ishtar avoided the question of mental illness. He too believed that Kieran would never completely recover. And soon no doubt Percy would want to see him, and he simply could not let that happen. Yes he had said that he was on her side, but this was too much. His brother nearly committed suicide, he needed to recover and not be yelled at. And of course thinking of Percy had brought thoughts of Valiant going over there. Yes she did not particularly love either twin anymore, but their complicated love triangle seemed to get to her. No doubt there would be a fight. He thought of whether or not he still was in love with the blond Manx, but found little to no feeling. Was he capable of love? Yes, he could count everything he loved on one paw, but that was beside the point. There was hope, with Kieran there was little.

She nodded to Ishtar, noticing as well his lack of answer to his mental health issue. There was no real way to figure out how badly it would hinder his healing. But as long as Kieran was well cared for and when he became conscious enough and strong enough to talk to, they could lift his spirits, even if it was just a little.

"Well I think that won't be too much of a problem. I'll just stay here and make sure everyone is taken care of." she said with a smile. Aidan would need the support as much as Kieran did and she was happy to be there for the both of them. "I'll just need to go back to the warehouse and pick up some fresh clothes to last me a while and things should be fine. I'm no healer, but I can tend to a wound well enough." she nodded her head, rubbing against Aidan. She could nurse for a while and it wouldn't matter to her.

Aidan smiled to himself and nuzzled her back. So Ishtar was a blunt little a**, and would more than likely be here for awhile taking care of Kieran, that much was to be expected, but Hikari coming to stay… at least that was something to look forward to. He blushed lightly and looked away, for something had crossed his train of thought that made him happy, but could obviously bite him on the a** later.
“Hikari, can I talk to you away from young ears?” He asked quietly while still nuzzling the female and observing Ishtar wearily.

Ishtar looked between the male and the female with little interest, he wanted at that moment to let him observe everything without an audience, but was rather surprised to find that uncle Aidan beat him to the punch. That would give him a few moments to actually fuss over his father as a son was, and then slip back into his professional attitude. He would need those brief moments of alone time in order to retain his sanity, for this was slowly becoming so much more than just a patient and doctor relationship. Seeing the man before him cringing in pain and whimpering didn’t help. Neither did the looks that Hikari was giving him, even if she did not know she was. Quietly Ishtar fought with himself on whether or not to care or look at Kieran as a ‘it’ a patient, that may just possibly die if the wound did not heal itself or get infected.

Hikari smiled at Aidan, instinctively beginning to purr quietly at him. She nodded to him grabbing a pillow and carefully replacing her lap with the pillow. She hated to move for Kieran's sake but she really did herself need a few moment's away from the scene and Ishtar needed time alone with his father. Not matter how much he claimed he was nearly indifferent to the fact that Kieran was his father, there had to be something in that boy who screamed out in pain for his father.

She stood up carefully to follow Aidan out of the room, her legs a little stiff from the position she had been stuck in. Her knees gave an audible crack and she kicked each leg out and sighed. "That's better..." she mumbled to herself looking back up at Aidan.

Aidan’s eyes widened at the cracking of her knees, it sounded as though it hurt. He leaned his back against the wall and pulled her into his chest, her head barely reached just above his heart, but she fit into his arms perfectly.
He sighed heavily and pondered about the words he was about to say. He had been evaluating the handful of things he actually loved, and he found that she happened to be one of them.
“Hikari… somehow along our paths I think I have found that I care for you immensely, that I may even be in love with you. Hell what am I saying, I’m ninety percent sure I’m falling in love with you.” It sounded like he was rambling even to his own ears so he quieted and let her alone to her thoughts..
