Haru Mori Lieutenant, Fourth Division Sereitei, Soul Society
Haru Mori flinched a little when the image of his captain, Elisia Hakase, appeared in front of him moments after his knocking. Well, it would have been pretty foolish if she didn't appear. Anyways, even though he was expecting her face, he still flinched anyways - he had the tendency to do that a lot. She didn't say a single word as the green-eyed captain scanned the entirety of Haru; this time, he undeniably blushed all over the place. Although, he kept his ground. She gestured him inside the healing room and then made her first command by ordering him to close to the door. As he did so, she created yet another awkward silence as she scanned some pages regarding something; Haru had a hunch that she might have been reading about his profile. "Oh God..." he thought to himself as his hands began to sweat so quickly.
When she apologized for the lack of activity between them, Haru gave only a vague smile and a curt nod. No words could properly describe his moments now. Actually, if he really did try to speak, he was pretty sure the thing he might be able to come up would be, "Blargh..." or something that sounds the same. After that unexpected, sudden apology, she then praised him at once about his credentials being suitable for his position. This almost made him jump in joy although this was no time to go on a "happiness fit" so to say. He just remained there, smiling vaguely, full of stupid anxiety as he looked at Elisia and listened to her words.
And then, things took a sudden turn for the worse. His vague smile slowly faltered when Elisia began her sudden goodbye. She was leaving. His captain, for the first time he met her, was now leaving. No words formed before his mind. His throat felt like it was squashed by an invisible hand. He couldn't properly breathe. He couldn't reason properly; anyways, who was he? He was just a mere lieutenant - a replacement. She stood up and then tried to speak something, as if to hold back her words... but none came except...
"Goodbye." A feared word that Haru oh-so did not expect to hear. He gasped in shock and reached out to his captain but she was long gone before she saw him. He tried to hold back the shock. Why?
Why?

__[852]__⌠ H i d e k i < ⌂ 朱 出 来 […] 得 血 ろ ⌂ > U c h i r o ⌡ ▬▬▐ J ŭsanB a ntai Taichō Feeling:S i m p l e "Truth is simply a conception..." Hideki was still in a comatose state in his room within the Fourth Division’s facilities. His room was barren and empty, aside from a small single flower vase that was in most rooms as a comforting sight. The flower – A deep blue tulip – was now keeled over the edge of the vase, its former beauty gone with water that was once within the vase. Five days had passed since Hideki had been utterly demolished by Zenos in their fight to reclaim the Seireitei. His pulse had been found and maintained for those days and, because of that, he was held in this room until he would wake up. It was mid-afternoon when his left index finger twitched slightly. Hideki’s bedding was folded under his arm, keeping it taught around his torso and legs. The bedding had been kept relatively wrinkle free and when his finger moved, it curved the smooth surface of the sheets. Hideki’s face scowled slightly, his body finally waking up to the world, and he bore his teeth, still unconsciously at this point. His toes curled as his legs moved slightly, stretching the tight muscles that had done nothing but sit for 5 days.
As his mind subconsciously woke his body, his conscious mind was slowly flowing back into the threads of reality. The EKG near his bed began to beep quicker as his mind raced with its awakening. Within a few moments of the beats quickening, as if bricks were thrown upon the bed, Hideki shot up from his pillows in a gasp of air. His eyes were wide open and dilated, and when he abruptly opened them his hand slapped to his face, covering the sensitive organs from the light that flooded in. “God-agh….damn.” Hideki coughed out in a low tone, that seemed to echo in the empty room. He kept his eyes squinted as he attempted to look around. The last thing he truly remembered was being attacked by Zenos, blacking out, hearing Elisia’s voice through that blackness, and then the current event happening before him. He was not daft enough to not figure it out, but he was surprised that they would not have pronounced him dead. Just as Hideki through of that, a pain shot up his side, through his neck, to the lower back of his skull. His body was compelled to move his right hand immediately but he soon realized that it had been lost. He instead moved his left hand softly to the area. His face became a solemn one and he was incredibly grateful to Elisia. The slightest smile crept on his face.
By this time, Hideki’s eyes were well and adjusted and, when he turned to look out the window, he found that he could not. His IV drip was within his Jugular in his neck, as his arm was made of metal. In fact, he had not noticed until that moment that he actually had a brace on to keep it from ever moving. Slipping his left hand around the pole of the drip, Hideki slipped his legs around and out of the sheets, letting his feet tap the cool floor before he let them find a home on them. He tightened his grip around the IV as he put his weight off the edge of the bed to his feet and nearly buckled due to the pain that shot through the entire right side of his body. Hideki clenched his teeth and let out a groan of pain into the empty room. He took a step with his left foot and the pain was not as intense, but it came right back with his right foot. He continued this process until the pain became so common within the time it took to get to the door that it was something that was not even registered by his brain any longer. Endorphins had taken over, and Hideki made his way, like a cripple, old man into and down the hallway.
Hideki gave subtle nods to everyone he passed and a mumbled ‘I’m fine’ to any nurses that asked if he needed assistance or anything relating to it. He received many odd stares from onlookers, having one arm and such. The looks were not of consequence, he was used to them, albeit for different reasons, and he simply pressed on. Unknowingly, he passed right by Yuki’s room as he made his way to the cafeteria and once he was there, he quickly grabbed a bottle of water and sat at a table near a window. He had a cold sweat on his brow and his bandaging had become slightly red from blood seepage. His eyes looked down at it and simply ignored the sight; it was not as if he felt it. His body felt the extent of it, but his mind made sure that “it” didn’t. Unscrewing the top, Hideki nearly inhaled the water until it was gone and placed his forehead upon the glass of the window and stared out to the Seireitei. Being here with no one really put on him just how lonely he was.

Haru Mori Lieutenant, Fourth Division Sereitei, Soul Society
Several moments ago, Haru droned out of the hospital room of Yuki and couldn't believe the events that transpired before. Heightening his senses altogether, he felt his former captain's reiatsu across the hallways of the healing ward. There was no point of following. She wouldn't want to be found. If she was to come back, she'd do it on her own. He heard all about the members of the Fourth Division before; she's a strong woman. Somehow, he knew, she would come back and then, he'd be waiting...
He'd be waiting...
Haru then assigned the nearest nurses of at least two of them to monitor the situation of Yuki. Perhaps, he needed more time to think. Or maybe, he needed more time to rest. Or maybe, Haru needed to work himself into deep exhaustion to forget all about the events... everything happened so fast. So fast, indeed. He wanted to cry, too. But what was the use? Crying was good for weak people... well, not really... but Haru wasn't weak.
Silently, deep in his thoughts, he drifted into the documents room and give himself a "light" reading.

__________▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃ ___________■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ ■ _________【 Rei Nagare ★ Spirit Manifestation 】 ______________________"My right hand is death. My left hand is life. __________________________________❤ | _ My eyes are madness..." Similar to Hei, Rei had been by Yuki's bed side for the past five days, watching over her and hoping for her awakening soon. Rei was perched on the windowsill, cross-legged with her physical weapon form and Shakujō leaning against her chest and her head hung over, just above the AC unit in the far corner of the room, which wasn't saying much given the room's relative size. The window itself was in a deep recession, and it was quite large, so she had plenty of space for herself. There was, however, a terrible draft from the AC unit that went straight up her robes to freeze the area between her legs, yet she did not seem to mind. She had watched her mistress's brother come and go as he attended to their youngest daughter, but she had not moved so much as a muscle except to look up gaze upon Yuki's face every now and then. With all the time she had to herself, she was able to use one of her most passive abilities to watch over the Seireitei, hearing and seeing anything she wanted to as the hours passed by.
Five days had passed with no incidents, but then Rei felt someone enter the Seireitei, and quickly set her sights on her. Due to Emiya being the most interesting thing to happen the past week, Rei watched her from afar carefully, following her every movement and hearing her every word- and the words of those who spoke with her- as she moved across the Seireitei. She was no fool, she could easily tell the girl was no human, and she certainly didn't need Hei's confirmation of that fact. As the rest of the events unfolded across the Seireitei, Rei split her focus to watch on as an observer, having no desire to get involved. Shiruba's death, the appearance of three more humans, the reanimation of Tsukiko's corpse as well as the rapid aging of it, Tetsunosuke's fight with Kiriko and Kiriko's diversion, the conversation between an eager Emiya and a reluctant Nu; all of these things she watched with little interest as they played out. It was like watching ten televisions, each with a different show on, at the same time; needless to say it took her several moments to piece everything together after the fact.
Rei wondered just what she should do with the information she uncovered; answer the questions being asked by Kazuhiko and relay information from one to the other, or simply remain an observer for the time being. The Seireitei, it seemed, was in chaos once more, and for all her intelligence she still needed some guidance from the woman she called her mistress, because she didn't know if she should risk leaving Yuki's side while the 4th Division captain was AWOL and the Lieutenant was a far cry from being in shouting distance. For the first time in days, Rei moved, her muscles sore from remaining still all this time, and slid off the ledge of the windowsill. The spirit strode towards Yuki's side, then reached out to lay a hand on the beautiful woman's face. "Mistress." Soft were her words, a hint of sadness betrayed her calm face, and into Yuki's dreams did she venture. Rei arrived in what appeared to be Kyoto during the Heian era, the Rukongai from what she could recall of her knowledge from hundreds of years ago. The cool evening breeze of that winter day struck her barely clothed body, sending shivers down the woman's spine. She glanced around, spotting two identical children, one boy and one girl, who were running down the dirt road between the run down huts housing a multitude of sickly-looking folks.
"Oneechan!" They boy desperately cried out as the girl pulled her hand away and ran away laughing, but he followed suit and they both ran right past her as though she wasn't there. They appeared to be twelve years old, putting them around the general age where they developed romantic feelings for one another. Rei turned to follow them, but was distracted by the sight of a billowing hospital gown and flowing, dark locks off to her right. She jerked her head as her gaze filled with Yuki's form, smiling in her direction before she turned to watch the kids disappear around a corner. "Sometimes I wish I could go back to that time... Back before he turned into what he is today... I miss that part of him, his playful smile and the way he followed me like he was my shadow." Yuki lowered herself onto a dirty bench near her, patting the seat next to her to get Rei to sit down next to her so that they may chat. She had wanted to embrace the woman, but it appeared like no such gestures needed to be exchanged, and explanations were superfluous. "He's changed, mistress. I've been watching the both of you for the past few days..." The spirit fell quiet as she settled into her seat and gazed across the dirt road as the two children came running past again, this time the boy was being pulled along by his sister. Yuki said nothing about Hei, she knew he was different. Even in a coma she could still hear his tone of voice as he begged her to wake up, and as he addressed her nurses. There was certainly a change, but it wasn't the same. "What is it, Rei? There must be a reason you've bothered to enter my dreams. There's nothing else here for you."
Rei exhaled a breath before explaining all that she knew currently, about how humans had entered the Seireitei and some of them had left, how one of them wanted to stay and how Tsukiko had a proper body again, how a Lieutenant had died and how Elisia had left, and how her brother was faring in the meantime. As Yuki looked skyward during the explanation, she shed a single tear for Tsukiko's sake, immensely happy that her little girl was back to normal, and wiped it away as soon as she realized it was there. "It sounds like a lot has happened over the past few days. Tsukiko's whole again, that brings me so much joy that I can't even express it properly right now. But Rei... you didn't answer my question, what is it that you need from me?" The spirit looked taken aback, but it was true, she had not delivered the answer Yuki had been looking for. She just wasn't sure how to put it without making her sound so needy. However, Yuki's hand on her shoulder and the firm grip she gave it seemed to jump start her drive to tell her. "Guidance. What do I do? I can't ignore the problems, but I can't leave your side either. What if something happens, no one is there." She felt the hand leave her shoulder and looked up to see Yuki standing in the middle of the road, having moved from the bench to the road like a phantom. "Think about it, you'll figure it out on your own." Rei jumped to her feet, feeling cheated out of an answer and desiring something else, and watched as the world around her spiraled out of existence before her very eyes. The last thing she saw was the girl planting a kiss on the girl's cheek after he picked her up off the ground. Dirty and scraped up, the girl spoke "I love you" to the blushing boy, and as the world vanished these words echoed in her mind.
The spirit snapped back to reality, finding herself at Yuki's side once more, and covered her face with her hand and sank into the chair Hei would sit in during his visits. "Why couldn't you just answer me like a normal person?" Sighing, the spirit ruffled her hair and stared at the floor while many thoughts swirled around in her head. Minutes passed, and after what felt like hours she seemed to have come up with an answer on her own. Rei stirred, staring at the clock to find only ten minutes had passed, just around when Hibiki was preparing to arrest Kenpachi Koudo. Of course, after some thinking it was obvious what the right decision was; tend to the problems, Yuki wouldn't die so easily. Rei should really learn to not be such a worrywart. With a new determination in mind, she collected her robes to slid them back over her shoulders to cover her previously bare chest, then turned to step through the wall and venture out into the courtyard of the hospital before changing her shape into a fox and darting across the rooftops to bring herself to Kazuhiko's office. |Exits| {1463}
