Agh, did bomb one, only once... for some reason I confused C with A. Stress getting to me, probably.

I did bobm one of my tests. I was playing three flats scales (sorry forgot what it was called.) and at the begining of the next octave I just stared at the the next note. My mind went totally blank.

That reminds of last week...ooh how stupid of me! It was so noisy outside because people were playing, and even though I was in another room it just sounded like they did a small decrescendo! I got so nervous that I did a Bflat on my C scale!!!! I knew all the scales our co conductor taught us and it just disappeared from my site!! >_< I did real horrible on the chromatic scale...... -miyoko

I have NEVER bombed a playing test. EVER. I don't have that many either... When I do though, I get 100% on 'em. I think I do better on things, everything in general, when it counts for my grade or my life or something. xp

Prolly 'cause I'm really good compared to everyone else at my school! I'm the only one who even tries to do anything too!

I was playing the C scale (Concert Bb). Easy, right? Except I went for the second octave, and, umm... didn't make it. Yeah. Last four notes were G, A, A#, D?
And yet I still got 2nd chair. Scary.

Fortunately for me, my director lets me make up the test and retry as many times as I need to... this doesn't really pertain to scales as much as it does show tunes. Sometimes he gives us A's even if we didn't do too well on the test... just as long as we tried our best and he knows we practice the tune a lot and at least try to memorize it.
Sometimes I cheat on my tests *imitates devil-horns with fingers* because we take the test in the closet with a tape recorder... it's SO easy to fold up a piece of music and put it in your pocket!

Yup. Last year the band director made us write down all the major scales and practice them to play on the last playing test of the year. Well, I thought I had failed that one...I got a B, which, frankly, was miraculous. I skipped a couple notes on some scales because I must've written them down wrong and I was nervous.
Oh, and my tone? Awful.
