Vikings were pretty awesome. They wandered the northern seas, raping, pillaging and burning, and hundreds of years after their culture has all but vanished, many a redheaded Irish kid STILL gets picked on for having Viking in him or her.

You are the pinnacle of a**-kicking. You profess in killing things scarrier, deadlier, and all-around more... Inhuman than yerself, and you die to the dragon? Sad times, dude. Sad times. I was hoping he was gonna live through the encounter, and go on to kill many more a monster before the story ended, leaving the reader to believe Beowulf is still out there, killing monsters.

He was kinda old when he killed the dragon though and has an impressive list of killing monsters to go slap Odin and them around with.

It was necessary for him to die. If he'd died outside of a fight, or didn't die at all, that would have been seen as a disgrace.
--And Tool, Beowulf wasn't necessarily naked, he just removed armor and weapon for a hand to hand fight with Grendel. Though the movie took to a different interpretation, obviously. XD naked Beowulf in 3D....Yay!

The Toolness No armor that is practically naked for a warrior like Beowolf. Well, there is still a difference between practically naked and naked....I think. But fighting monsters whilst naked does have a certain appeal. I should make Ora do that some day......or maybe not.

Anc has likely fought something in the buff at least once. Most likely a stablegirl's angry father after caught in the hay with her... But that counts. Depending on the dad's appearance, it could even be considered a monster.
