"You have a piano?" I found myself gushing. "I've always wanted to learn how to play one of those... but my hands aren't big enough to reach all the keys I have to..." I grinned sheepishly, maybe a little foolishly. This guy... Richard... he was starting to grow on me.
((It's all good. I've been catching up on Soul Eater, so I'm not as active as I'd like anyway.))

"Well, I could always teach you properly on a Soprano Grand, there aren't many, but my family owns one... I'm sure you would be able to reach." Richard smiled invitingly, lowering himself to the ground as he looked upward. The distance between the two of them made him slightly unhappy. "Then again, you don't have to be able to reach, if you play duet." He shruged, leaning back on his arms, and patted the ground beside him, smiling. "Would you like to join me down here? I know angels shouldn't leave their posts in the sky, but you would brighten the world down here much more..." It was double worded, yes, but he figured she wouldn't notice.

Seeing that the poor young man wanted to hear her reply so badly, the young girl sighed heavily before saying "Well, you'd have to promise that I'll be able to see my parents again." She blushed slightly at actually answering him, though she knew that it would have been very rude indeed not to answer the poor fellow who had possibly fallen in love with this hopeless girl who, as she felt it, was still blossoming into a woman.
(I'm sorry I didn't know whether or not you guys were posting. :3 But, I'm glad that you are.)

((xD I've been distracted myself.))
"Base flatterer," I chided halfheartedly. I wasn't aware that I was so susceptible to that until this guy. Nonetheless, I slung my guitar around to my back and climbed down the ladder with practiced ease. I jumped the last couple feet to the ground, then turned back to face him, hugging my arm self-consciously as my cheeks reddened. Warily, I accepted his invitation and sat down next to him, cheeks reddening further. "And on the piano..." I smiled a little. "I'd like that."
Nathaniel had never told a real lie in his life, not to anyone else, anyway. There were the petty ones all children indulged in, of course, and he lied to himself rather often, but for the most part he was outwardly honest. But now he was about to break that record.
He tried to lie to himself about the lie; he could find a way, surely, for her. But even as he spoke the words, he knew them to be untrue.
"Anything. I promise."

Alesea smiled not knowing that the young man was telling her a lie, "Okay then, and where are you taking me?" Alesea asked rather confused, and hoping that this guy wouldn't trick her and end up hurting her. She hid her fear underneath her smile, "You seem very worried about something. Would you please tell me what is wrong?"

"It's nothing." Another lie. Like her, Nathaniel hid his insecurity behind a smile. "I'm taking you to my home, beneath the earth. You may have heard legends about horsemen who spirit away young maidens such as yourself, and I confess that I am one of them."

"W-what? You....you mean that....legend is true?" She asked hesitantly, the poor girl felt a small lump in her throat as she tried to swallow this information down. "Your not serious are you?" Alesea added as she tried her best not to show any signs of feeling slightly.......weird? No it was something else but she couldn't figure it out.

Richard grinned back at Jubilation as though her chide on being a 'base flatterer' made him embaressed. In truth, he hadn't known there was a word for the way he complimented people. Seeing her up close made him just a bit more wavering on what he would ask her, and once again, he found something else to deter the conversation from that point. "Really? You're not just saying that to keep me smiling, are you?" He noticed the tinge of red in her cheeks, even in the low amount of light coming from the tree house, and was glad that he didn't blush often. If he did, he was sure she'd call him a tomato by now for the way he felt.

"No, not at all... I don't like to tell lies, even white ones like that. I'm not built that way." I felt like my face was on fire when another observation leaped from my mouth without my permission; "Not like I don't want you to keep smiling..." I winced at once. Bad. Bad. Bad.
"Do I look like I'm joking?" Nathaniel raised his head pleadingly. "Please. Come with me."

Okay, to her this was very strange. But, seeing his face made her feel slightly unhappy. "Well....I guess so......but you truly have to promise that......" she tried her best to reply with choking on her words but that didn't work out at all for her. She knew the legend well and she knew very well that if she went below ground it would mean not being able to see her family ever again. (I'm sorry I'm over at my sister's house. I'll be staying here for like 3 weeks and two days. :3)

Richard watched Jubie blush again, his eyes tracing her dramatic cheek bones. He didn't comment on her wincing after her little word mishap. He pulled one knee up to his chest and balanced his chin on it, to be able to watch her more easily. His eyes fell on the light in the treehouse near them, because it was a bit bright, even compared to her face, and blinked once. Lights didn't come like that down in the caverns, they had glowing stones and torches in brakets, a few rooms with mirrors that when aligned the right way they could trow the light of the sun, so very far away, onto peoples gardens. "Do you think, if you could leave, do something differently, that you would?" He knw it was off their earlier topic, but so had her smiling comment. "I mean, if you could change your life, would you?"

Nathaniel's face brightened up instantly, a stunning grin sweeping across his face. Wordlessly, he stood up and offered his hand to her.
..."What are you saying?" I tilted my head to the side curiously, heart pounding in my chest. "Are you... Are you saying you can take me away from this place...?"

Richard looked away from the girl next to him, his smile had dissapeared into a complacent, thoughtful expression. He was trying to word it in his head, but failing miserably. "I... I could..." He wrapped his arms around the one leg, leaving the other to stay on the ground. "If you'd like..." His horse kept walking around, grazing now on a patch of grass that had overgrown near the neighbors fence, it had already eaten the extra grass along the trunk of the tree. "I could teach you to play the piano... Show you things you'd never dreamed of seeing..." He strayed off, thinking of what she would say. He could imagine her standing up and merely walking away into the house, leaving him there in the yard alone with his horse and he'd only be able to leave and ride back home. Defeated. He'd wait another year to find someone, but he doubted he would ever find someone like Jubilation ever again. Listen to me, I sound like a hopeless romantic...

I found myself shifting, suddenly consumed with a desire to see his face. Once again, words flew out of my mouth unbidden, but this time I did not wince.
"I... I'd like that."

Richard blinked for a moment, consumed by something he didn't understand, and then he turned to look at her again. "You would?" He couldn't believe what she'd said, his ears must be playing tricks, she must not have understood. His second long good mood vanished almost as quickly, even though the smile stayed on his face. "There are consequenses... Reprocutions..." He shook his head sadly, no one ever went willingly, or if they did it was rare. His own mother had been tricked into coming to the caves, not gone of her own will.
