Amelia was starting to get distracted as Kyros was, albeit in a much less bloodthirsty way. I want my food, she mentally whined, glancing at her hands. She realized her gloves were still there, and so she peeled each one off of her fingers and palms. With the articles of clothing sitting under her chair a few minutes later, Amelia rubbed her hands against her napkin, like granules of dust or beads of sweat had collected in the lines of her hands from work. She looked back up to the table. Her eyes glanced around the area; no waiter was coming their way with any food. Amelia's stomach growled out its dissent. She began to reach for a piece of bread, hoping to tide herself over, then paused as a woman sat down across from Jyoti, near the red-headed dancer.

”Jyooooottiiiiiii, who's this? A friend? Someone you know? Someone you just met? All of the above? What is she? Will she be my friend too?”

Amelia opened her mouth to respond, hand hovering over the basket of bread (it still steamed a little, it was still so warm), but Jyoti interrupted and did the introductions for her. "Evelyn, this is Amelia! Amelia, Evelyn! Just met her. And guess what? She's from Magvel, too!"

Amelia nodded once to reaffirm Jyoti's claim. Her smile had become more sure over the short period in which she'd met these people; she didn't look to be quite so hesitant or nervous now. “Yes, I'm from Magvel. Grado, specifically. I don't know whether or not you'd know of my village, though. It wasn't very large.” Amelia quietly picked up a piece of bread and tore off a large hunk. She bit into the section and chewed thoughtfully, trying not to continue. She didn't mind saying where she'd been born, but to go into details of her parenthood with what amounted to near-total strangers wasn't something she wanted to do.

“Hello, Ameliaaaa,” Evelyn cooed as if drawing out someone’s name amused her or something. In reality though, it was more along the lines of being amused at being able to talk and even say names again. “Magvel? Gosh, I think the last person from Magvel I met was you Jyoti, and that was years ago! It’s great to meet you though, Amelia… I only wish you could meet Triumph.”

The teal haired girl sighed lightly and shrugged as her fingers traced the outline of the menu. As if sensing it, a waiter hurried over to take her order. He was promptly shooed away with a few flicks of the wrist though; Evelyn would order later, after she had actually looked at the menu. ”Aye! I lived and studied in Grado for most of my life,” Evelyn admitted, surprised by Amelia’s origins.

“I guess he’ll turn up sooner or later; that is if he ever hopes to enjoy Kyros’ cooking that is,” she snickered, old memories flashing in the back of her mind. “That’s really Charles?” Evelyn couldn’t help remarking before turning her head to look at the man. Yep, that was Charles, not as she remembered him, but Charles was Charles, none the less. A small wave was offered to the man, before Evelyn returned her attention to Jyoti and Amelia.

“Maybe it’s silly to—“ She shook her head lightly to stop herself from saying her next words. There was no point in bringing up Misura, just somehow she could tell the topic was better left alone for now. “What about Victory?”

It wasn’t even a second after the question left her lips that a large crash echoed through the restaurant. ”What do you mean no pets in the restaurant?” Triumph growled at the restaurant manager who was carefully blocking the creature’s way in, despite the large amount of shaking his body was doing. ”L-l-l-like I ssssaid… no pets in t-the restau--rant. I’ll not have some dog m-meeeesssing up my place.” ”Dog? If I’m a dog, then you’re my b***h. And as my b***h, I told you to move, so move!”

After a quick warm up, Ledreak stole the rouge's horse that attacked him. "I'll be taking this, YOU PIECE OF UGLY ARTWORK." He climbed up on the horse, and headed for the nearby town. Why did I get attacked? It's cause I'm black, ain't it!?

Galloped, he did, like a pro. He knew it would be good to get horseback training it, but sometimes it could be a real b***h on your man-junk.

He arrived at the gate, went in, slowly trotting now, and finally, got down to ask a random person a question. "Excuse me, can I talk to ya fo' a minute? I'm looking for some buds of mine, and I KNOW YOU GOT THA INFORMATION ON YOU SOMEWHERE. SPILL IT, OR I'LL ******** YOU WITH A PLASTIC d***o. Come on, baby, they're a group of about three girls, and four guys, I know I'm forgetting somebody between the lines and tha most notable one would be tha big guy with red hair."

This random guy that was stopped was mortified by his speaking, and just pointed in a direction towards the other end of town to get him to go away. It worked.

Mr. Bonqueesha took off on the horse once again, and rode to the other wise of town. He got hungry, and the smell of food piqued his interest. Tied up his horse, went inside, and saw who he was looking for. What luck.

"Mister, I would like ta be seated with those guys over there. Surely it would be no problem, baby." He pointed, finishing up his words.

He sat at the end of the table, pulling up a chair from the table next to it, not being in use. The waitress approached, and said calmly "What would you like to order?"

Ledreak looked up. "Hmm... A steak, rare, DO NOT FORGET THA BARBECUE SAUCE, ********, a side of ribs, rare, AGAIN, THA BARBECUE SAUCE IS ******** IMPORTANT, b***h, along with a appetizer of chicken wings. And if you could, just put yourself on a plate and I'll take you to go." He turned to his buds. "Fancy meetin' you here, ho-- who's tha dead guy?"

Jyoti gaze focused down towards the ground when Evelyn mentioned Victory, her horse. Victory... She heard the crash, but she ignored it. It didn't involve her directly so it didn't matter. "I... I'm not sure, Evelyn." Her hands tightened slightly, resting in her lap. "Haven't seen her around..."

Even though she could ignore the crash, she couldn't ignore Ledreak's appearance. She laughed softly, giving him a small nod in greeting. "Hey, Ledreak! Nice to see you. What took you so long?" The valkyrie tilted her head slightly in confusion. "You don't recognize him? It's Charles! You remember Charles, right?"

He tapped his crowbar on the ground a few times, holding it like a cane. "Waitress better NOT forget mah damn barbecue sauce."

"A fair idea, dear..." Quickly taking Amelia's advice (she hadn't seen the need to really bother- it was annoying, but nothing that she couldn't handle) and tying up some of the loose material, it took naught but a few tugs to get the headband to behave and sit nicely on her forehead, where it now doubt sat on another's head before Castello had snatched it. Adjusting it slightly to make sure that it wouldn't move, she cautiously moved her hands from it and was pleased to find that it didn't droop in front of her eyes again. Only when her vision was clear did she realize just how much it had blocked, just a few seconds ago.

"No, not too much luck. But I'm sure she's off enjoying herself in the Arena, if I know that girl..." Realizing that she was better off not telling the little general how effective Misura was with the blade (and consequently, how little mercy she'd probably give the poor folks who fought for coin), she let that topic slide and instead looked to the new arrival.

Evelyn sat down beside her, still as beautiful and unpredictable as ever. She looked a little distracted, and her inquiry immediately made her realize why- Triumph, the vile but nevertheless protective Gwyllgi that kept the girl as his constant companion. It was still odd not to hear him raising hell even now, and Teifi shrugged. There was nothing that could be sai--

Then Ledreak had raised his own brand of hell, followed by the rambunctious uproar that Triumph caused in his own right. The group was starting to come back together- every single dysfunctional part of it. Realizing that she really didn't want to have to bother with either of them, she turned back to Evelyn with a look towards the door.

"Sounds like Triumph. You'd better greet him before he... ah... 'greets' another one of our new friends, hm?"

Still ignoring Ledreak until he decided to calm down, Teifi turned her understanding blue eyes back to Amelia with an apologetic smile.

"Sorry about all of this chaos. We're a bit of a hectic group, but we're glad to have someone supporting us in this strange place."

She made sure to wave down a waitress and remind her very quietly not to forget Ledreak's sauce. Things got bad when Ledreak didn't get what he considered to be the bare essentials.

Amelia smiled sheepishly at Evelyn's greeting, and the expression became more relaxed as the green-haired woman continued to speak. “Magvel? Gosh, I think the last person from Magvel I met was you Jyoti, and that was years ago! It’s great to meet you though, Amelia… I only wish you could meet Triumph.”

Amelia blinked her green eyes twice, head tilting just slightly to the side, as if she were some blonde puppy instead of a legally-adult General. “Hm? Triumph? Who exactly is Triumph? I... I figure it's safe to assume that Triumph isn't a human... it doesn't sound like a typical human name...” Amelia wondered if Triumph was maybe Evelyn's horse? It would make sense. She looks... maybe she's trained to be a Mage Knight? She doesn't strike me as the kind to enter physical combat...

She nodded slowly to Evelyn when she mentioned living and studying in Grado for most of her life. She turned as a waiter appeared in her peripheral vision. He politely stepped around the decrepit Charles and placed a plate in front of her. Amelia gave a quiet “Thank you” to the waiter, who smiled genially and walked away to speak with a man nearby that had soup spilled all down his shirt. Amelia looked briefly at her plate; simple, a proper portion of steak, an assortment of vegetables, and half a potato. She had eaten at least a little bit earlier, and somehow Amelia had no intention to look like some sort of pig. (Then again, with Kyros eating like a pig at a trough over there – though he did manage to use his napkin properly – it was hard to look any worse...)

Amelia yelped in surprise at the sudden shouting from somewhere behind her, and when she turned her head, her eyes widened at the sight of the Gwyllgi at the door, barking (no pun intended) orders at the host, who looked rather frightened, indeed. Amelia had to wo--

Wait. A talking Gwyllgi?

Amelia had barely turned to Evelyn and Teifi across the table to ask them if they knew what was going on before a very dark-skinned man strolled quite casually over to the table. He dropped into a chair at the end of the table and proceeded to ask for his food. It would've sounded polite if not for the constant interjections (on his own part) of how vitally important his barbeque sauce (********>) was, or something. Amelia laughed faintly and wondered if anyone else would arrive.

These guys certainly were not boring. Amelia calmly ate her steak; she chewed in silence and let the others talk around her. Every so often, her eyes moved to her friends nearby, and then back to her food, like she wasn't sure if she should get up to speak to them or not. She stopped her subtle glances at Teifi's address, and she looked up from rubbing sauce off of her chin with her napkin. "Sorry about all of this chaos. We're a bit of a hectic group, but we're glad to have someone supporting us in this strange place."

Amelia smiled a little and gave a shake of her head. “It's... hectic, yes. I'd be lying if I said otherwise. But I'm glad to be of help.”

Castello pushed his empty salad plate away, lifting his empty soup bowl to place it on top just as Evelyn and Ledreak arrived, and he snickered as he gestured to open seats at the heroes' table for them. Oh, that sizzling in the kitchen better be his entree, ho yes sir! "Was wondering when you'd get here, Ledreak," he said, smirking and sitting back at the table. "Off taking care of bid-ness? You got a little blood on your, uh," he said, vaguely indicating the area from Ledreak's left shoulder to his entire torso. "You know, your... everywhere."

He heard it before anyone else (damn his ears!) and stood up so quickly his chair slid back and tripped a passing waiter, who spilled a tray of water all over poor Sue. Castello didn't seem to notice or care, though, spinning quickly around and running for the door. "Ohmygodit'sTriumph!" he laughed, shoving the poor owner aside to let the three-headed beast in. "Look at you, dog, you look great!" Triumph was, of course, huge, and Castello barely had to bend over to scritch between four of his six ears, moving his hands from one to another so one of the heads wouldn't get jealous of the other two. "Who's a good monster?" he cooed, "Whoooooo's a good monster?"

Castello had always had a very good relationship with Triumph, of course. Much to Teifi's chagrin, since Castello and the foul-mouthed canine tended to egg one another on.

"I have seen love in vain..."

"...I have felt the pain..."

Kyros gulped down the last of the soup, the bowl clattering onto the table as he released a contented sigh of relief. Food felt even better after a long time without it. The Warrior reached up, scooting some of his hair from his brow as he looked towards the entrance, a bright smile appearing as he saw Evelyn enter.

Without hesitation, she frolicked over to the table, already talking with Jyoti. The two were like sisters, really, and that separation must have been difficult, once it hit them. But, there they were, chatting and gossiping like little girls, enveloping little Amelia into their little conversation.

The girls never even noticed Triumph forcing his way into the building followed by the ever-interesting Ledreak, as out-of-place as ever. The family was almost back together, save Misura, who was probably out getting her sword examined or something. She'd catch up later, definitely.

The near-trademark smile was still around, even as he gave Ledreak a kind wave while walking to the entrance. Kyros bent down, scratching Triumph behind each set of ears, laughing another booming laugh. With a slight grunt, he picked up the Gwyllgi, carrying it over to the table, placing him next to Evelyn as he passed her. Turning his head to face her as he walked, he let out a sing-songy voice, as if taunting the table.

"Go get her Triuuuuumph~ Go on, go get Evie!"

He turned around, expecting the dog to do all manner of oddities, which would probably be followed by awkward glances. Really, it was less than surprising by this point, but ti was something Kyros hadn't seen in far too long. Those hilarious moments needed to come again, even better if in a social setting.

As he got back to his seat, he stopped the waitress passing him with a plate of steak, oddly not with barbecue sauce. Letting out a dissatisfied groan, he took the woman by the hips, standing up as she jumped. By the looks of it, they didn't remember, which really wasn't good. He leaned in close to her ear, looking down at the plate while he spoke.

"You forgot the barbecue sauce, dear." He whispered something into her ear, giving her a small push as she frantically scampered back to the kitchen, coming out with a bottle of barbecue sauce, and rushing right back into the kitchen.

Blood was everyone on Ledreak's top, and he hadn't noticed until he looked down. "Why, there seems to be b***h LIQUOR on my good clothes!" He paused. "Triumph! Oh, I thought there was somethin' missin'."

"Buh yeah," he began, "Some rouges attacked me, as Ah was tellin' Jyoti. Killed 'em, though." His meal was then brought out, with barbecue sauce.

"Awww yeah, got tha barbecue sauce, baby!" He emptied a lot on his steak, then to his ribs, and soon, the wings. The bottle was half-empty by the time he was done. He cut up the steak into rather large pieces for eating, and ate them with no problem at all. Then, rendered the ribs to bones. "Always, save tha best fo' last." He said under his breath, and shortly thereafter picked at the chicken wings. When he was complete, there were only bones and gristle left behind, and traces of barbecue sauce. Finished in record time.

"Anyone else need tha barbecue sauce? You should really try it."

No, no, no, that was not the answer Evelyn wanted, it was the answer she had expected though. More than likely Victory was long dead by now, but that meant Jyoti was without a mount. A replacement would have to be found… unless they could find some way to bring the horse back. Evelyn just didn’t find things the same without having both Triumph and Victory together. Speaking of having the two together, Evelyn was still sore about Castello’s little prank concerning them both.

”No, no, I do. It’s just he doesn’t look exactly how I remember him. I don’t know how I could ever forget Charles!” She managed to get the few short sentences out before her attention was called away by Teifi. ”Ya, you’re right I—well, I should, but I guess I don’t have to…” she mumbled as she watched, amazement enveloping her facial features, as Kyros picked up her dog—Gwyllgi and cared him over to the table where they all were. There were some protests thrown, but in the end Triumph was carried and placed next to Evelyn.

”DOGGY!” The girl with surreal pink eyes chirped in a voice that was much too young for her body. ”You stupi—rr bbbrrooo--” Whatever Triumph had planned to say would be left unsaid for now, for as soon as he had begun talking, like a four year old might, Evelyn pinched both cheeks on one of the heads and pull out as hard as she could, revealing the animal’s sharp white teeth. ”Where’ve you been? I was looking for you. I was sad without you. Have you seen Victory? It was your job to take care of her. Why didn’t you find her? Now Jyoti has no horse!” The others might have expected it, but they couldn’t stop it from happening. A happy reunion soon turned to the classic shouting contest, as the past does repeat itself.

”I waaarrrssseee uurknnn fffrrrr yyyo—“ The Gwyllgi pulled the head Evelyn had trapped away before speaking again. ”I was looking for you! And it wasn’t my job, it was your job—“ ”No, it wasn’t! It was you—“ And just like old times, a petty argument ensued over something neither of them had been responsible for. It was quite a sight though, watching Evelyn shout at Triumph while he shouted back in turn. By now, Evelyn was standing on her chair and the two had their heads(one of Triumph’s three heads) pressed together while they argued. To say the least, it was like watching two four year have a temper tantrum.

The argument broke apart once the two heard Jyoti’s comment, causing the same thought to race across both their minds: BUT IT’S NOT VICTORY! They finally settled down after a few minutes though; Evelyn sitting in her seat, with Triumph directly behind her, one of his heads resting on her own head. The waiter finally came around again and took Evelyn’s order, which was some dish that contained lobster she had picked at random. The teal haired girl didn’t care as long as it contained sea food. Triumph wasn’t asked to order though, and after much pouting he figured he wouldn’t be getting any food. That was until; Jyoti asked if anyone wanted the rest of hers. ”I’ll eat it for you, Jyoti!”

Teifi received her plate of soft-shelled crab very soon after, and just how she liked it- lightly boiled then brushed with a butter and garlic mixture before it had been thrown into the oven to cook the rest of the way. Glistening lightly because of the glaze, which had given it quite the lovely sheen, the legs had been arranged in a circle around the body, with the edible lump meat sitting on top of the emptied out carapace. In the middle of the meat bundle- which had been flavored with cream, a touch of lemon juice, and a few spices- a basil leaf served as a delicate garnish.

The entire dish sat on a large lettuce leaf. It almost seemed a shame to eat it. But seeing as she was paying for it, she raised the delicate fork that had been brought with it and lightly tasted the meat before becoming fully assured of its quality.

The dancer took a sip of her soup before picking up one of the legs and eating it in as dignified a manner as she could- not hard, considering the small size of the crab, but a task made slightly more difficult by the emergence of Triumph into the scene. And here she thought Evelyn would greet the troublemaker by the door!

Oh, well. The three-headed rogue was already well within their midst, and Teifi couldn't help but grin at the interaction. Was he a trouble maker? Of course. Did she hate him? No, of course not.

"It's good to see you back, Triumph. Have you been keeping out of trouble, lately?" Keeping out the fact that they hadn't seen each other in... oh, a few hundred years, of course. She didn't want to have poor Amelia running for the hills. Not when they were interacting so smoothly! The girl was like a friend to her, already.

Amelia's voice brought her back.

"There aren't enough helpful people enough in the world, these days." Taking another thoughtful bite, she looked down at Amelia's portion and looked up, happy to see that at least the girl had an appetite to her. This whole 'stay thin' nonsense that she heard some of the girls complaining about earlier clearly didn't seem to be stopping this one from having a good appetite, thank the Goddess. She would have had a good talking-to with her, otherwise.

"How long do these festivities last, do you think? We need to be finding that Inn and reserving it for at least that many days, should it go beyond one."

She felt happier already. With the citrus bite blending well with the smooth, sweet flavors of the crab, today was shaping up to be quite the lovely day.

A wonder, the effects of food.
