"Lanakirene wins the hand," F'sey announced, collecting up the cards as he nodded to the younger greenrider. He shuffled and watched all the players before he started to deal. "Ante up, you lot."
[[ OOC: I'll deal in a few hours, and your time stamp won't be until tomorrow.
Points (including this round ante): Anyone who bet is down to 3. Wei is at 17. Those who folded have 6. La has 19 points, with ante. ]]

After seeing how the rest of the cards had been apportioned that hand, Firyal was glad she had folded. Even if it had turned out that she hadn't discarded the card she had, it would not have made a difference in a hand that lacked the higher ranked face cards. Remarkable how she'd ended up making the right decision, even unexpectedly. Even though she hadn't won the hand, she was beginning to feel a little more confident in what she was doing.
While she waited for Lanakirene to collect her winnings and for F'sey to deal the next hand she reached out for Numenor mentally. She was going to stay in here until the game ended, and she felt she really owed E'rik some sort of explanation since that was the case. Not that Numenor could convey actual thoughts or sentences, or even words, but he could, hopefully, give E'rik an impression of Firyal's intentions. If she didn't end up confusing the poor firelizard horribly.
Numenor, Find E'rik. That was the extent of the human vocabulary she could use with the bronze, and even E'rik's name had to be accompanied by a mental image of the Brownrider. The next part was trickier, as she tried to show Numenor that she intended to stay in the gaming tent for a while longer and convince him to convey the message to E'rik. In the end, she wasn't sure he'd understood, or that E'rik would understand, even if Numenor did, but she'd made an attempt to do the right thing. That had to count for something.

As she collected her winnings, La looked from face to face, trying hard not to keep grinning at the win. She had been extraordinarily lucky, and it wasn't going to happen again. Giving Wei a brief nod and flashing another winning smile at Vera, she composed herself after a moment and leaned on her hand while she waited for new cards.
When they came, she picked them up, glanced at them, and then slid two back to F'sey along with her ante. The other three she again stacked and set facedown on the table in front of her while she waited for everyone else to make their move.

Firyal nearly laughed when she received her new hand. Such a hand.
"Congratulations, Lanakirene," she said. Her winning hand had been impressive, just as the others had been. Firyal was less lucky, it seemed, but there were worse things to be than unlucky at cards.
She discarded three cards, the maximum allowed, and looked around, completely ignoring the cards that remained in her hand.

ooc| Ok... Messenger time. 8D Gifty is gone for the weekend. She's decided to just fold if the ante goes up to two points for the rest of the game. Or until she gets back. >.>

T'ka raised a skeptical eyebrow as she looked over her cards. Nothing really special. And she'd lost quite a bit on that last round...her hand wasn't that good. She didn't feel like taking a chance on it. "Fold," she stated, staring up at the ceiling. Kyllae wouldn't miss the fact that she hadn't gotten a flit...T'ka just wouldn't tell her. Closing her eyes, she relaxed, as she tried to imagine the kind of trouble Xythe and Daeok were getting into...and how fussy angry Haanyath was going to be about having made to wait so long.

Ante, discard three. Wei scanned her cards briefly, then put in her token for the coming round. She emoted very little now, and seemed uninterested in examining those gathered around the table; her eyes were glued onto her hand, and little else caught her interest.

F'sey watched quietly as the patrons made their decisions. "T'ka is out. Wei keeps the bet at one point. Lanakirene keeps the bet at one point," he announced. He wasn't exactly sure why, probably to keep it straight in his own mind. Three out, a few more to go.
[[ OOC: Timestamp on the bet is 5 PM EST. If you don't post, we assume you met the bet. The next hand is ALREADY dealt, because I want to keep this rolling so we aren't all here forever. As soon as the time stamp expires, you can start playing the next hand. (ICly. You can pitch me your discards any time.) :] ]]

After receiving her discards' replacements Firyal wondered if her feigned happiness had caused whatever higher power was in charge of luck, if such a thing existed, to side with her. When it was her turn, she tossed three chits toward the center, adding her ante and then raising the bet.
"I'll raise it two." Even if everyone else folded, it would be okay. At least she'd had a hand she was confident placing money on.

Conomor pursed his lips and inspected his cards. Just folding forever was going to get him nowhere, so he nodded when Firyal spoke up. "I'm in." Sure he didn't have the very best hand ever, but nothing ventured nothing gained, right?
{Not tracking points as I won the runner egg; Conomor's pretty much just going to lose ASAP XD}

Ren looked down at his cards and frowned, it was a poor hand and he had no fear of showing his distatse for it in his expression he shifted nervously and lay his hand down on the table. "I fold." he told those gathered shifting nervously he had little hope of winning now.

Vera flashed a brilliant smile back at Lanakirene, carefully discarding a couple of cards, and taking the new ones into her hand, her expression carefully blank. She anted in and met the bet, sitting back as she kept her cards concealed. "I'm in as well." She'd been reserved before, and while that was all very well and good, it was not in her nature to be tame. Not for long.
(Four points I think?)

((Well uh, since I suppose the last hand is ended....))
Wei soon revealed the cards of her hand; two fours, a jack, a two, and a one.
((Whenever that round's done....))
Pursing her lips at her next hand, Wei shook her head. "Fold," she said, not willing to lay any more money on a bum hand like she'd been dealt.

Glanced at his neck hand...hmmm. He made sure to keep his face blank as he studied the hand he had been dealt, well it had poetential and he quickly flicked out two guards to disguard waiting to see if the next few cards would favour him and they would decide if he stayed in this round or once again folded.
