"Me?"
Lin never held a baby, correction she had never held a baby that young before. Even though really, he was bigger than a Surprise, but he was more delicate than one.
"Uhm.... okay," she replied shyly.

Lothiriel giggled softly and shifted over slightly. "Come and sit," she invited her. "It's all right, really ... you don't need to be shy."
As she made room for Lin to sit next to her, Estel gently laid Elia on the bed, careful not to wake her, and moved to help out Lothiriel and Lin.

Lin sat on the edge of the bed and eyed the little baby. She scratched the back of her head.
"Well.. I've never seen a baby that young.. or a natural baby that young... or both..."
She was told even Jin was a bit more hardy than normal babies of course Lin never knew Jin when he was a baby.

Lothiriel giggled. "Well, there has to be a first time for everything," she murmured softly, lifting the infant for her husband to take.
Estel smiled warmly and took the child, then faced Lin. "Hold out your arms," he instructed her, "like a cradle ... and make sure to support his head ... an infant's neck is very weak."

Lin did as she was told, a bit tense, afraid that she would accidentally hurt him. Not for the first time, Lin wondered how natural borns managed it and not because they came from the inside of another person like when she was a child!
After all Lin could still recall (a bit fuzzily by now) her first day alive, it involved a staring contest and hugging her mother.

Estel smiled warmly and gently laid the infant in Lin's arms, adjusting him to fit more naturally into her grip.
"Easy now," he murmured. "Just relax."
Celebrindor's eyes were already closed, but they closed more tightly as he changed hands, and his tiny lips pursed slowly; then his lower lip was sucked into his mouth, and his fists tapped against Lin's arm and then fell still again as he fell into a deeper sleep.

Seeing as the baby didn't seemed to be bothered by the change in hands, Lin relaxed a bit. He seemed quite well adjusted but then again he was sleeping.
"He's very cute," she murmured.

Estel chuckled softly, and Lothiriel looked at him lovingly as she replied, "He looks like his father." She shifted so that she was laying down more, and turned on her side to watch Lin and her youngest son. "He only fell asleep a short while ago," she murmured softly, "so he'll sleep for a few hours yet.
"In theory," Estel grinned.
Lothiriel laughed softly. "In theory," she agreed. She looked down at Elia, who was still fast asleep at the end of the bed, and then smiled up at Lin once more. "So I see you've also met Elia ... have you met the others yet?"

"I met Amora in the library," Lin replied paused, "But.. I believe there is one more and I haven't met him."
At least that's what Triton had told her.
"Triton told me a bit about his last visit, though he left a few things out."

"Pengolodh," Estel smiled. "He ... should be finishing his training session shortly, he should be back here then." He paused, then amended, "Well, not here, here ... but back inside to wash up for lunch."
Lothiriel smiled warmly at Lin. "And what do you think of Amora?" she asked curiously.

"She's nice, has a real interest in discovering the world around her..." Lin paused, "And beyond that I know very little about her. We only talked for a short while before Estel came in so...."
So she really couldn't judge, but she just figured that Amora was a nice person.

Lothiriel smiled warmly. "I never cease to be amazed at how eager she is to learn," she murmured wistfully. "Pengolodh wants to spend all of his time training ... he is still a child, a young child at that, but ... he is quite skilled already. But he neglects his book studies, something ... I wish I could enforce a bit more, but it gets a little tiring sometimes."
"And with Elia and now Celebrindor to look after," Estel added softly, "it is growing more difficult. And as much as I wish I could also give him some personal time, often I am needed for my duties ..."

That was true, it was the reason why it had been assumed that maybe the two didn't have anymore kids besides the first two. She wished she could help, but Lin wasn't really a book person...
"I wish I could help..." she mused.

Lothiriel smiled. "Thank you, Lin," she murmured softly. "Perhaps even just speaking with him will be enough. Though it would be best if you are introduced to him first."
Estel chuckled. "Pengolodh is a bright boy, he's just not very trusting," he smiled. "Not quite shy ... but not as open as Amora."

Lin grinned, "I see... well, even if he isn't shy, I'm sort of use to shy people, but being wary and being shy are two different things."
Besides she wanted to meet the boy who was named after Estel in a way. Fitting that their first son would be Pengolodh.
