Talencia glanced around but was unable to locate the flashlight Wolfie had brought in. "uh... I think I have a small one in my gable room... I can run and fetch it if you like." Suddenly Bindy leapt up from his spot on the floor and came bounding over, his tail waving happily. His meaning was clear.
"Let me rephrase that," Tal continued, laughing. "Bindy volunteers to go get it." There was a sramble of claws and here came little Zak, who idolized Bindy and tended to follow him everywhere. Bindy always was very gentle with the puppy and treated him kindly, like a big brother. This time, however.... "Not you, little wolf," Tal commented with a smile, scooping the blue-purple pup up. "Bindy will need to be quick, and he has stairs to dash up. Your little legs hardly reach!" She nuzzled him to soften her rejection of his help.
She nodded at Bindy, who sprinted away, leaping up the stairs by twos and threes, heading for their room. Zak began to whimper, and Tal whispered to him. "I need you here, brave wolf, to watch the others and make sure the clicking doesn't sneak out above the floor. Can you do that?" Excited by his new job, the baby's tail wagged furiously, meaning the whole puppy wagged. Talencia laughed and set him down. "Go get em, Zakky."

((OMG that just came out sounding so cute Tal))
Wolfie was dazed as she looked up to the newcomer. "I...er...umn..." Wolfie stumbled to get out some words. She looked at the moonlit whom she had fallen next to. "....Hi" She slurred the word slowly, still confussed. "Im...umn...er...." She continued to fumble as Bindy sped past her on the way out the door. She could hear Talencia speaking with Zak who was yipping excitedly. Side-tracked she offered a wry smile, shook her head in a silent laugh and looked up again at the newcomer.
"Im sorry. I dont mean to be rude. I guess my mind is just full of things today." Wolfie propped herself onto her butt and reached out for the hand given to her. "Id love help up. I dont wanna crush your moonlit trying." She paused. "Im Wolfie by the way."

Yuki stepped to the side and allowed Bindy to get past her and smiled at Wolfie. "I'm Yuki and this is Hakana." Hakana let out a short squeak at the sound of her name and perked up her ears. Yuki grabbed Wolfie's hand, preparing to help her up. "And no worries. You weren't being rude and Hakana won't be squished."
Hakana began to fidigt the moment Bindy bounded out past her and Yuki. She hadn't had the chance to play with other moonlits. Yuki tended to keep her with her at all times, concidering she was so small. Eagerly, she watched Talencia talk to the baby Zak. There was another infant around and Yuki was distracted. This was her chance. Hakana squeezed out of Yuki's grasp and plopped onto the floor clumsily.
She had never been on the wooden floors before, so she had quite a time making her way over to Tal and Zak. Her nails scraped the floor continuously and her legs skittered from under her body causing her to flop onto the floor and force her to keep pulling herself up. Through all this difficulty, she smiled, happy to be in the company of other moonlits and people. She skidded to a halt by Tal's leg, stood up on her hind legs and put her front paws against Tal's lower calf while staring up at her excitedly.

((Yuki, can you post a little bigger? sweatdrop Its okay to have long posts in here.))
Wolfie grabbed the hand and was tugged to her feet. Silently watching Tal and the new infant, she smiled. It was so cute to see the little one run clumsily on the floor, skittering about. Wolfie always loved this stage best. Not the fact that they were puppies, but the fact that they were so dang cute when they tried to do things... just that clumsy cute people love.
"Thanks. Im Wolfie. Welcome to the mansion."

((Do you mean the font size? Sorry *habbit* redface lol My posts have been updated 3nodding ))
Yuki looked past Wolfie at her pup nervously. "Be careful Hakana." Her voice was laced with overprective nervousness. Hakana paid her no mind. Yuki's eyes moved back to Wolfie. "Thank you." A smile formed faintly on her face. "I think we'll like it here. Actually..." She looked past Wolfie again at Hakana and Tal and laughed a little. "It looks like Hakana already does."
It clicked that Wolfie had been on her way somewhere so she quickly apologized. "Am I in the way? I believe you were heading somewhere before...we crashed." She chuckled and rubbed her head sheepishly, then stepped to the side.

"Sorry, yes... Ill be back. Some of the moonlits are showing some strange symptoms after ingesting a very unstable potion that our crazy HPM had been working on."
Wolfie bowed quickly and took off at a run down the hall and up the stairs. Thuds of her mounting the stairs and running around on the second floor could be heard from the common room.

Talencia smiled down at the tiny pup and crouched down to be more on the pup's level. "Aren't you jsut darling?" She gently tousled the puppy's ears, then turned her towards where Zak was trotting around the sleeping Moonlits proudly, tail waving in victory at having such an important job. The little blue and purple, happy-go-lucky soldier boy was just too cute!
"Why don't you go help Zak there watch out for the other wolves darling?" she said to the little white pup. She gave her a gentle nudge in that direction, just enough to impel her forward, but not enough to upset her delicate balance.
She stood and smiled at the pup's owner. "Hi, I'm Talencia. Welcome to the mansion!" She looked back to where Hakana was scrambling after Zak. "I think maybe we need a few more rugs in here! T'would make walking easier for the youngest ones!"

Wolfie scrambled to a hault in the hallway. "C'mon Tal! What are we waiting for?! We have a noise to find." Wolfie motioned towards to hall and flopped to her knees, the skin scraping on the cold hardwood floor.
She silently wished she had remembered to wear warmer pants this morning. There had been rumor of snow again and it was too danged cold in this old place to be tromping around in windpants. "And bring the flashlight if you found it." She placed her ear to the floor and listened. It was much harder to follow the noise from the hallway, but slowly she shuffled down the hallway on her knees, leaning down to place her ear to the floor every few feet.
Scritchy scritch chick clickey tick...
It was still on the move whatever it was. Strange how it didnt seem to notice them clamering around above. What could it be? Wolfies mind roamed with the possibilities.

Hakana poked her little tongue against Tal's hand before yipping happily. She didn't exactly know why she was being nudged towards the one known as Zak, but if it meant playing with another moonlit then she'll be glad to go! Slowly at first, she made her way over to Zak. Unfortunately, she picked up a little too much speed and skidded into him head first. She let out a soft squeak and shaking her head excitedly. Suddenly, she jumped, lowering her head and poking her butt in the air and wagging her tail energetically. It looked like she was ready to pounce on poor Zak.
Yuki watched Wolfie dart away, then moved into the common room. "Nice to meet you Talencia. I'm Yuki. And you've already met Hakana." She smiled over at her pup before holding her hand out for Tal to shake. She watched Hakana skid into Zak and snickered. "Maybe a few rugs wouldn't be so bad."
She was just about to ask what Wolfie had meant by 'strange symptoms' when she heard Wolfie call Tal from the hallway. "Um..." Yuki turned and watched Wolfie inch down the hallway on her knees. "What is she doing?" Her question wasn't really directed towards anyone, so she started walking after Wolfie slowly, watching her curiously.

"Tally ho!" The lack of sleep and additional caffiene provided by the Bea tea surged through her system and she finally lost sense of her pride.

Wolfie glanced over her shoulder and noticed that Zeus was acting a little odd. He had begun to walk around on all fours and was looking a pale shad of purple. His color almost seemed to roll as did his head. He was looking quite sick indeed and Wolfie hoped that if he was going to get sick on the floor that he would find somewhere appropriate to do so.
She yelled down the hall for HPM "Hybrid! I think we have another one for ya... Zeus is looking pretty under the weather right now!" With a scrunched up face, Wolfie pushed the moonlit away from her. If it was one thing she couldnt stand it was puke and she wished not to see any this evening.

Wolfie's energetic call caused Yuki to jump slightly. She took a deep breath trying to get her heart rate back under control and continued along after Wolfie, silently watching as she inched down the hall.
Something out of the corner of her eye caught her attention. It seemed to be another two-legged moonlit. And he didn't look well at all. After Wolfie scooted the sickly moonlit away from her, Yuki crouched down next to him and rubbed his head soothingly and cooed. "It'll be okay you poor thing."
Yuki looked up at Wolfie. 'Another one?!' She was starting to worry. Poor Yuki didn't know that the moonlit's illnesses were being caused by a potion. "Wolfie! What's going on? I heard you mention something about 'strange symptoms'. Are the moonlits all coming down with a virus or something? Is this contagous?" 'I hope Hakana can't catch it!' She was on the verge of panicking. Despite her worry for Hakana she decided to deal with the moonlit here. "Did Wolfie call you Zeus? That's a very nice name." She continued to talk to him in low, soft tones to keep the sick moonlit calm.

"Some of the owners here have purchased potions to freeze a stage of their moonlit, or help them turn into anthros. Well, recently, we found our revert potion has gone haywire and it has mixed results. However, the moonlits who are drinking it are coming down ill first. We dont know much about these changes, so Hybrid is keeping a close watch on them upstairs."

Tickty tick clickety...
Wolfie had had enough of the noise and following it. The thing only seemed to be scrambling from one side of the hall to the other. It was making Wolfie's knees sore and her head hurt from all the concentration that had been going into finding the mysterious noise.
With one loud (and brave mind you) thunk, Wolfie smashed her fist into the baseboards. Suddenly everything was silent. And as if whatever it was had been struck by as bolt of lightning, it went shooting across the hall, skittering as it went.
Sctratch tickey tick tick tick tickey tick tick sctitchety... It moved faster until it seemed to slide out of control. Schhhhhhhhhhllllllll- THUNK! And all whas quiet again except for a faint sound **whine**

Tira had started following Wolfie without Tal, who was waiting for Bindy to return. She padded slowly behind her, pausing often to c**k her head and listen. When the scrabbling stopped, she padded over and looked straight down at the floor... then gave a single, sharp bark.
This is what caused the clickiting to charge down the hallway. As it began to slip and slide, Tira charged after it. She was just a few steps behind when it slid with a loud thud into the wall. When it whined, she stopped and approached with perked ears. She stopped with no problems before touching the wall, then suddenly began to scrabble at the floorboards with ther front paws, whining urgently. She seemed convinced that whatever was under there needed her.
Tal had meanwhile been waiting at the bottom of the stairs, calling to Bindy. From out of th dark at the top of the stairs he suddenly came flying, flashlight in mouth. He leapt nearly then entire flight of steps and landed on Tal, who toppled over with a grunt. "Good...," gasp, "boy....," gasp, "Bindy!" She gently shoved the wolf off of her and accepted the flashlight.
That was when she noticed Tira's desperate digging at the floorboards at the end of the hall nearby. She ran over, clicking on the flashlight as she went. The bobbing of the light caught a glint of metal in the wall of the stairs beside them, and Tal stopped. She walked gently beside Tira and peered at the metal. It was a latch... in a wall? Curious, she tugged on it, and it opened. She shone the flashlight inside cautiously.
It was a small room, as many old houses have under their staircases. It was dusty and cobwebby. There were a few objects stored there, but what caught Tal's attention most was a dark space opening up into the floor... could it be?
"Wolfie! I think I may have found a way down beneath the floor!" she called excitedly. "Come look!"
